According to police, Bledo Rosado was actively resisting and had already bitten one of the officers during the struggle. Officers also said he repeatedly reached toward an officer's firearm. The body cam audio captures the officer warning him to stop reaching for the gun as other officers attempted to control his movements. During the struggle, the protective cover on the officer's holster was broken. The officers continued trying to secure Bolo Rosado's arms and prevent him from gaining access to the weapon. Later on, after the confrontation had ended, an ambulance arrived to take Joseé Bolo Rosado to the hospital for treatment. Are you guys in a car together? >> No, no, no. Are you uh PPO? >> All right. According to police, a search of Bledo Rado also uncovered a crackpipe. Two officers suffered minor injuries during the confrontation and were taken to a local hospital for treatment before being released. Bolito Rado was also taken to a hospital for minor injuries. Bolo Rado was ultimately charged with theft of a motor vehicle, interfering with an officer, two counts of assaulting a police officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The use of force during the arrest was later reviewed by the Waterberry State's Attorney's Office. Police said that review determined the force used by the officers was reasonable and justified. The body cam footage provides multiple perspectives of the incident, showing the officer's attempts to control Bolito Rossado and the struggle that followed before he was finally taken into custody.
