Why you going so fast? >> I have a appointment with my barber. >> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> On September 23rd, 2025, a Flagler County Sheriff's Deputy in Florida clocked a Corvette at 107 mph. The Sheriff's Office identified the driver as Michael Stanek, 57. Stanek wasn't driving an ordinary car. He was behind the wheel of a C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible, a nearly 500 horsepower sports car capable of speeds approaching 190 mph with a new price that could easily top $80,000. Florida's dangerous excessive speeding law had taken effect on July 1st, 2025, only a few months before Stanek's September 23rd stop.
