Walk back slowly towards us. Keep walking. >> Stop. Clay, come around. >> Don't look at us. >> All right, Clay. Go ahead. >> Come back. Come back to the sound of my voice glue. Keep walking back. Do not face me. >> Keep coming back. Put your hands behind your back. Let's get on here. >> Who am I getting for? >> What happened? >> Is anyone else in the vehicle? >> No. >> Sleeves. >> I was just in there. >> No, no, no. You can go check. Nobody else wants to kill. >> Why? Why? >> Come over here. There's nobody else in the vehicle. >> No, sir. >> Okay. Any weapons in the vehicle? No, sir. No weapons. >> Behind the car here. >> Taking this off. Okay. >> Okay. Go do what you got to do. >> Yep. You're good. >> I want you to know. >> What am I being arrested for? >> He'll explain it to you. >> Like I didn't steal the car. I didn't >> Who said anything about that? >> I didn't. So what am >> what did I do? >> What makes you think that? Something about stealing a car. >> Well, you said something about a van. >> After securing him and confirming he had no firearms, officers turn their attention to the stolen van. Ready to find out who else was inside? >> You want to clear with me? >> Ready? >> We're going to we're going to go up and clear it. >> Um if you can pull the door for me, then I'll get in. That's really about our only shot right there. Ready? Yeah. Sheriff's office. I probably got to go around the other side. Get the rest. I can't see behind here. You >> want to come back here with me? I'm going to Yeah. Here. Come over here. I'm going to pull it. clear. >> Yeah. >> All right. It's my friend's car. >> Okay. >> It's hop in the back. >> Go ahead. >> Yes, sir. >> Can I get my phone, please? Over. >> No, we're not getting your phone right now. >> He'll go with you to the So, if we go, >> he's going to the jail, right? I'm going to jail. >> Can you get it in the car? Good. I'll go in the jail. All right. >> When officers questioned him about the stolen van and what was really going on, he refused to answer, demanding a lawyer before saying anything further. >> What's up, babe? >> I uh there's my backpack, the red backpack that I have. It's in the car. >> One second. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be against you in the court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him question with you while you are questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before any questioning. You decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or any statements. You understand these rights? Yes, sir. >> All right. >> Whose van is that? >> Well, I need a lawyer to talk to you, not answer any question. >> All right. So, you're right now you're being arrested for grand theft motor van. Okay. >> How is the grand? >> You wanted a lawyer? I'm just telling you what you're being arrested for. Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Hey, sir. Sir, sir. Uh, I was going to ask you my phone's over there and my backpack. The rat backpack and the vent is mine. It's my backpack. >> We'll check it. As long as it's good, it'll go with you. Okay. >> And the phone. >> Thank you. Wow. Appreciate it. No problem. Watch out. >> He wanted a lawyer. >> But but he wants his red backpack out. So yesterday at the value stay, extended stay, whatever, down at destination Daytona. >> Yeah. >> Him and the RO got into argument. He pulled a knife on the RORO during the argument. RORO went away. Came back later. I don't know exactly the time frame. Came back. Van was gone. They had him as a suspect. He was with a female when he did it or when he was arguing with her. They couldn't ID female. >> Wonder what their relationship is. Just friends. Did they work together out of the thing? Living >> out of? >> Yeah, I don't know. >> But it was documented and reported. So, >> yeah. No, I was just curious. >> But I came by like 3 hours ago and it wasn't here. So, I went out. The last hit was Old Dixie and Ross Commons at 2:00 in the morning. 2:30 in the morning. >> What brought you here? >> That address. >> That's where we got That's where we stopped him leaving Monday. >> Okay. >> The back. But nothing up here since yelling. >> Yeah, he's he hasn't even had 24 hours yet. So, I doubt he's done much. And I don't see anything. >> He said he had a red backpack. >> Yeah, that's right here. I put to the side. So I >> You want to hand me that and I'll start with that. >> But other than that, the front there doesn't seem like to be much right now. >> Yeah. >> Do you want me to turn it off? trash for yourself. [Music] But after some time, Glib called the officer back, agreed to cooperate, and finally revealed what was really happening and how it all went down. I say I didn't I I didn't want to talk without a lawyer, but I got a few questions. >> I can't You got to You said you wanted a lawyer. I'm not allowed to do anything. >> Well, I I can >> Do you retract that statement that that you want a lawyer at this moment? >> Well, yeah, sure. >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Go ahead. >> So, how am I being charged with G? How How is it >> The vehic This vehicle was stolen last night. >> It wasn't. >> Let me let me finish. This is what we got. The vehicle was stolen last night from the extended stay or something down in a hotel down in Orman. The The owner said he got in an argument with you prior to that. Whatever happened, he went away. Whatever. Whatever. Came back. His van was gone. You were listed as the prime suspect. >> I know you live here. You stay here sometimes. >> Obviously, man. >> I come by. The van's sitting right here. I see you get in the van. You're in the van. You're in possession of the key and >> obviously for what is your take on it? >> Well, what happened? >> If the owner like if literally owner gave me the keys and all that stuff willingly, they didn't steal it from him. He willingly gave it to me. So that listen, I wasn't there. I don't know. And it's not my it's not my solution. >> On camera. Was on camera. Me and him getting in the van. The one driving him. He's in the van with me. And we literally in the gas station. >> When was that? Last night. >> Last night. Yes. >> Okay. >> Well, I don't know what at what he reported stolen at like 1:00 in the morning. So, I don't know what time y'all were riding around together, but he reported at 1. >> I got it today when I came into work to look for it. >> Okay. >> And I'm And that's why I'm here. So, whatever you guys agreement on, now listen, that's what you're being charged with. You know how the system works. If he goes if he goes in and goes, "No, it's never mind. I he didn't steal it. I gave him the keys and it'll then he'll get dropped." >> Well, well, I'm saying like, well, if he doesn't like if he's >> he doesn't then you're getting stuck with a grand theft or vehicle. >> If if I we showing together like me driving him and we me and him get in the same van, he get a passenger getting me driving. >> I mean, that's possible. The problem is it's out of it's out of county. So, they we're going to have to get a Valuchia on that or Orman PD. >> Well, you the detective. You the one in charge of the case, right? >> For just the recovery. Yeah. I can't I can't go into Valuchia County and start pulling cameras. >> Well, who's doing the investigation? >> Well, I'm waiting on an Orman person to call me >> and I'll let them know what you told me. Okay. >> He gave me the keys willingly. That's what I'm saying. Like, how was their report stolen? He didn't >> That I don't know. He said, "You all got an argument. You pulled a knife. >> You didn't pull a knife to steal it. You pulled a knife in the argument." This is what he said. Again, I wasn't there, man. I don't know any of that. Okay. But that's what's being reported. >> It was reported stolen. So, as of this moment, that's all he might be. Listen, he might be. That's something. >> You know, you know me. You probably know me. You probably >> I told you what the early Monday. >> Oh, >> remember when we pulled you over at the church? >> I remember. I remember. I remember really really good. Like trust me. >> And you see I have nothing on me. I try if I literally try to get away from this house and all the people in this house and I always try to stay with him but he get he get drunk and he freaks out >> and you know what I mean like I just had to get away from him and he lay he willingly gave me the keys. I will listen I will annotate that in my report that you know why I would drew my lawyer statement but I'm telling you this like I'm telling you God Island's trooping and it wasn't like I was driving around I was just sitting there sleeping >> no I know well it's you're still in it so that is you sell the keys and stuff but I get that I will annotate my report >> that you told me that he gave you the keys and y'all were driving around in it. When were you driving Sorry I'm trying to block this light for my face. When were y'all driving around in it? Like what a roundabout time frame yesterday. I took I took him to the court. He had a court the previous day. I had to take him to the court. >> Okay. Up here. >> In Flag Flag. >> Yes. I later got kicked out of court. If you can you can view your camera footage. We walk in the courthouse together and I got kicked out of courtroom cuz I kissed my girl on the cheek and one of the court deputies literally not only >> was she on was she first appearance or something? >> Yeah. No, he he had a violation of he had no girl for kissing your girl. Was she just there? >> No, we just we just went there. My girl just went with me to to court with him. So listen, I literally went to court with him. He asked me to go to court with him. I was like, I don't really like going to court. Like I had blame, >> you know what I'm saying? So I went to court with him. He asked me to go to court to help him translate him. So I got you. I don't like going to court, but since he a friend of mine, I'll go to court with you. But I end up getting kicked out of courtroom and I reporter going to court because I just kissed my brother courtroom. I didn't thought it was that big of a deal. Well, I didn't. I know I'm wrong when I admit it. I disrespected the court and I deserve to get kicked out. But the deputy, the court deputy didn't have to not only scream at me and call me names, but also put his hands on me. I was already walking out. He said, he said, "Get the out my courtroom, you piece of shit." And I like, "All right, sir. I'm leaving." He literally not only he pushed me like shoved me like pretty hard. I told my girl like, "Damn, like if he did me on the street, he wasn't wearing a badge. He was in court. Like I would have like man you would have done the same thing probably." You know what I mean? Especially somebody put your hands on you in front of your old lady like men. So, I went in the sergeant in court, talked to a sergeant. I said, "Listen, I I admit I might have been wrong. I didn't think it was big that big a deal. I just kissed my girl in the cheek." You know what I mean? I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I didn't disrespect the court and yeah, I deserve to get kicked out. Like, you know what I mean? Okay. >> So, get to that point. After that, we went back to the hotel >> and the next day we was in the hotel and literally like this last night, you can you >> What gas station >> was the gas station? the one in by extending state. You go down the street on the right hand side, not the racetrack. Racrack on the left hand side >> on >> the other side of 95 like going towards Daytona. >> Go towards right on the US one. So you know the race track on the left hand side and that little tiny that tiny ass one across the street. >> The one behind McDonald's. Exactly what I'm talking about. We pull up over there. I pump the gas for him. We walked in there together. He bought like four bottles of wine and he pull out some cash out. He gave me some money. He he lang me down cuz he drinks. He's a drunk like you know what I mean? >> Okay. >> And we got in an argument because he was drinking and he was trying to was in the right mindset. So yeah, he gave me the keys. He already gave me the keys. He already said with keys whenever you want you could go. So I literally just felt like I need to get away from him because he wasn't in his right mindset. So and felt like my girl I put my girl against you cuz you know man like I I don't want to stay at that house bro. That house is hot. The house is not good. Like that [ __ ] >> You think how many people how many people been arrested out of the house in the last this week? >> I don't want to talk about it. >> I know cuz I was there for all of them. >> I want to change my life. I want do the right thing. >> Okay. You know what I mean? >> So I'll annotate that in my report. Okay. I'm waiting on Orman to call me. They still haven't called me. I've been waiting and I'll let them know what and I'll see what they say. Right now that's the charge. You know how a charge works. It's just what you're being charged with. >> He's already He was on probation. He drunk as hell and he he in different counties. So whatever he if he if they go talk to him again, he drops it, then it is what it is. But right now, that's where we're at. Okay. I'm waiting on them to call me as soon as they call. I'm pretty sure he would just freaked out cuz he passed out. Very possible. Find out his missing and oh [ __ ] I'm going to find my [ __ ] Very possible. He gave your name though. >> I know he gave my name cuz I was staying in the room like we're roommates. >> All right. I'm waiting for them to call me. As soon as they do, I'll figure out what's going on. I'm going to shut this so you stay warm. Okay. >> I appreciate you. Pretty speakable. What's your name? >> It's D Rimple. >> D Rimple. You You're a good cop. you you actually not a piece of like most of these cops are. >> I appreciate that. >> Thank you, man. >> All right. Let me show this so you stay warm. All right. >> Y >> All right. If you don't mind staying just till they get it out out of here. Once they leave, you're good and you head to the jail and get out of here and drop them off and I'll do my [ __ ] >> All right. >> Appreciate it. Thanks, man. [Music] >> I'll be hanging out till you guys leave. >> Yep. So, if you need this, I'll free my car. >> Detectives say Fedtov didn't put up a fight this time, but his history made the arrest no surprise. With multiple past arrests and probation already on his record, deputies say this latest crime fits a familiar pattern: stealing, hiding, and ending up right back in jail. Fedtov is now facing the following charges: grand theft of a motor vehicle, driving without a valid license, violation of probation. He was booked into the Sheriff Perry Hall inmate detention facility, and is being held on a $5,000 bond. Sheriff Rick Staley praised the quick work of the PACE unit, stressing that known offenders who keep breaking the law will always find themselves back behind bars in Flaggler I
