Officers were on the way to a trespassing call at Dollar General. As they approached, they saw a man on a bike leaving the Dollar General, who matched the description given by dispatch. The caller had already asked him to leave several times, but he refused until he was told the police were on the way. A short time later, the man was seen entering a Walgreens. Officers pulled into the Walgreens parking lot and went inside, where staff pointed them toward his location so they could make contact. 16 believed that he actually took stuff in the store. >> Okay, our police department. up. >> Hurry up. >> All right. We see him, we try to do a UI, he comes over, he comes this way, we lose him, we go past, do another UI, and then we see him sitting up at the front. He looks over, sees up to the light, feet inside. So we whip in here, jump out, go straight to the B. They were like, he went to the bathroom with me right away. So we went straight to the bathroom. Uh, made contact with him in the in the bathroom and he's like, hold on, I'm going to the bathroom. silence for a while. There's a whole lot of nothing going on. >> Yeah. >> I said, "Well, get his information." I'm like, "Let's go. Come on. Let's get him out of here. Um, get his information." As he's getting his information, I hear the guy um towel towel towel rip. And then, uh, you could hear the garbage bail. >> Yeah. >> So, >> Gray starts walking with him. As Gray walks out, I walk into the garbage. I shine my light in the garbage bail and there's a gun. and to uh what what I believe is stolen items from the Dollar General. We're going to verify that he's a convicted fant uh scrubbed off serial numbers on the gun. >> Oh, hell yeah. >> Show him the gun. At the police department, one of the officers searched the man's backpack and found multiple debit and credit cards along with a Florida ID, all with different names that did not belong to him. He was charged with trespass after owner order and fraud, unlawful possession of personal identification information of another person five or more. He was sentenced to 28 days in county jail.
