349 seat belt on. >> A routine patrol in Oklahoma City rapidly escalates into a highstakes highway pursuit. Officers find themselves tailing a reddish jeep occupied by two individuals. Tearing through the interstate at speeds exceeding 80 mph. As the suspects weave desperately through traffic, they begin discarding critical evidence out of the window, including a loaded firearm magazine, turning a standard traffic stop into a dangerous race against time. Yeah, they're going to take off. We're going to be in pursuit taking off northbound. I'll give you a second. No car northbound on Sunny Lane approaching right now. >> Watch out, >> dude. We're looking for >> I believe so. We're going to be getting westbound lane. >> Uh we are getting on I40 attempted TVI just uh on the on ramp westbound. >> Traffic speeds are about 75 miles an hour. Uh we're going to have good felony charges on the driver and passenger in the middle lane right now. Uh coming to the outside lane. Traffic's coming to moderate. Uh speeds are approximately 80 mph. >> 742 is clear. Managing both zones. >> Yeah, clear on that. Going to the outside lane. Approaching I35 northbound. I'll let you know what to do. Air1. The tag again is Queen Henry Baker 349. It's going to be like a reddish Jeep. It's also going to have the uh the back and bumper missing now. Speeds are about 60 mph. We're in modern traffic. Okay. If somebody can uh >> your patrol officer can try to help us out with that. Was like a black baggie. >> Um just before I 40 westbound 40 west speeds about 70 m an hour. Uh traffic's lightening up right here. Looks like they are still in the number two. Switching to the number three lane and back to the number two lane. Passenger is on the phone. All right, we're coming up to 235 and I35 southbound. Let you know which direction they go. Still in the middle lane right now. Speeds are 70 mph. Our radio switch over. No, it's all right. Hey, and I40 and same lane, right? >> Yeah, that's a 235 interchange right now. >> Okay. Still I40 pass I35 junction. >> Coming up to Oklahoma City Boulevard right now. We're in the inside lane. We're going to go around Oklahoma City Boulevard. Still westbound on I40. >> 70. >> Huh? >> Speeds are 70. >> Speeds are still 70. Uh traffic's lightening up quite a bit. Just kind of slow and steady pace right now in the middle lane. I40 westbound approaching the pit exit. Uh we're going to switch to the number three lane. Uh we'll let you know what they do from here. Going all the way out to the outside lane. But the run ends here. As the suspect attempts to flee via the Penn Avenue exit, tactical precision takes over. A perfectly executed TVI maneuver forces the vehicle to a violent halt. Within seconds, officers swarm the wreckage. Long guns drawn. Staring down the barrels of law enforcement, the suspects realize their options have run out. With hands raised, the driver repeatedly cries out, "I'm not resisting." As the chaotic chase culminates in a tense but peaceful surrender. >> Looks like a firearm magazine just came out of the vehicle as well. That was I40 westbound about 700 yd east of the pin exit. >> Someone doesn't mind grabbing that magazine for us. That' be a big help. Uh coming to the pin exit right now. We'll let you know what they do. They are going to get off on pin. Off on pin. Uh, light traffic to no traffic. Speeds, uh, 70 mph. Looks like we're going to try to go northbound on the pin. Northbound on the pin. Magazine or off the shoulder. >> TVI. TVI. TVI. He's building. Okay. Okay. Okay. Hey, hey, hey. Listen. You're not moving, man. You're not moving. Hey. All right. Get out of the way. Get out of the way. Get around the car. Get out of the way. >> Get out of the way. >> I'm not resisting. Listen. I'm not resisting. Hey, I'm not resisting. Sir, >> I told him to drive. Hey. Hey. Excuse me, sir. I promise I'm not resisting. Hey, look. Please don't let him do it like that. Sit down. Sit down. Okay. Okay. Hey, hey, hey. Listen. You're not moving, man. You're not moving. >> Get out of the way. Get out of the way. Get around the car. Get out of the way. Get out of the way, sir. I'm not resisting. Listen, I'm not resisting. Hey, I'm not resisting, sir. Listen to the car. >> I told him to drive. Hey. Hey. Excuse me, sir. I promise I'm not resisting. >> Please don't do it like this. >> Put your hands by your back. I guess with the dust settled, the true gravity of the situation comes to light. The driver is identified as 34year-old Deshaine Jefferson, a convicted felon wanted on an outstanding warrant for firearm offenses linked to a shooting in Texas. Inside the vehicle, officers recover a firearm to match the discarded magazine. Jefferson now faces a laundry list of severe felony charges, including possession of a firearm by convicted felon and felony eluding. While the Texas Rangers step in to investigate the passengers ties to outofstate crimes, justice, it seems, has caught up. You got anything on you?
