The following video takes place on May 18th, 2024 in Florissant, Missouri, where officers initially respond to reports of a sideshow. Dispatch initially received calls at around 10:00 p.m. for erratic driving and drivers doing donuts. When officers arrived, they found hundreds of participants and spectators in surrounding parking lots. They began walking through the crowd, telling everyone to disperse, when they were made aware of a 2017 blue Dodge Charger that had been driving erratically and struck a person as well as other vehicles. The first officer to approach the vehicle attempted to stop the vehicle, but the suspect ignored their commands and continued to drive around the car meet. When trying to flee, the suspect actually ran over the foot of one of the officers. Officers responded by firing their service weapons to prevent any further assaults. Area CCTV cameras caught the moment the suspect struck and pinned the officer with his vehicle. What happened afterwards was recorded on police body cams. 90 go ahead. Blue Charger with the orange fender is the one that was doing the donuts around hundreds of people and struck the officer. All right, bro. Hey, get out. 26, he's getting ready to pull off the lot right now behind him. 26, he's taking off towards the front of the car wash. Due to the amount of traffic in the area, the suspect was unable to get far before more officers made contact with him. He tried to flee once more, but once again was stopped by the traffic. What happened next continued to be recorded on police body cams. 3190 fender orange fender is headed towards Mel from the parking lot. He's on the south side of the building. Hey, you all right? A clip from the sideshow was also posted on social media, in which it showed the suspect's car striking a person whilst doing donuts in a crowded parking lot. Several different cameras from surrounding buildings caught the event unfolding on CCTV. The following day, the suspect, later identified as 25-year-old Antoine Hunter, was charged with the following: one count of attempted assault, first degree or attempt, serious physical injury or special victim, one count of armed criminal action, and one count of resisting {slash} interfering with arrest. In total, nine shots were fired by law enforcement. Hunter was not struck by gunfire. All persons are innocent until proven guilty.
