Drop the gun. Drop the gun. >> 821. Shots fired. Shots fired. >> He's still run over. >> You ready? >> Yeah. >> Where's he at? >> Every day, police cameras capture moments most of us never see. Some are routine, but others quickly become something far more serious. The morning of January 13th, 2025 started like any other in St. Louis County. Traffic moved through the intersection of West Florescent Avenue and Lucas and Hunt Road under overcast skies. But at 9:45 a.m., everything changed in an instant. Surveillance cameras captured a collision as a vehicle barreled through a red light, hitting another car before rolling into a snowbank. The impact sent debris scattering across the intersection, but the driver that ran the red light would turn a traffic accident into something far more dangerous. From the wreckage emerged 37-year-old Durl Dorne. Instead of checking on the other driver or waiting for help, Dorne abandoned his damaged vehicle and began walking north on West Florescent Avenue. In his right hand, clearly visible to the surveillance cameras, was a pistol. As Dorne walks down West Florescent Avenue, he fires his weapon into the air and at passing vehicles multiple times. Traffic begins to slow and accumulate behind him as drivers become aware of the situation. Several 911 calls are placed as drivers frantically relay what's happening to dispatch. >> Car 6 Victor 5 and leaving the scene. Accident >> leaving the scene at Lucas Hut and West Luc possibly now.
