Taer put on my back now. What are you doing? My back. >> What the [ __ ] are you doing? >> Because >> on March 8th, 2025, a Lake County Sheriff's deputy spotted a vehicle cruising through Grace Lake, Illinois without its headlights on. What seemed like a simple traffic stop quickly escalated into a dangerous high-speed chase, topping 80 mph in a 45 mph speed zone. When the vehicle finally stopped in a residential driveway, the driver, 38-year-old Swain Kuransza of Round Lake Beach, stepped out, not with his hands up, but in an aggressive stance, ready to challenge law enforcement. What happened next would bring not one but two people into custody and land them both with a list of serious charges. According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, the deputy activated emergency lights to initiate a stop near Washington Street and Lancer Lane around 2:00 a.m. Instead of pulling over, Kuranza hit the gas, accelerating to 80 mph. The deputy followed as the vehicle swerved through the dark streets before pulling into the 1100 block of Cambridge Drive. The stop was far from over. Kuransza jumped out in an aggressive manner, ignoring commands and refusing to comply. When deputies attempted to place him under arrest, he pulled away and resisted. A taser was deployed, bringing him to the ground and allowing deputies to take him into custody. T1 1038 Atinson and Cambridge with Vermont. Yeah, Vermont. K. King SAM C. Charles 289.
