riding his bike and killed his dog trying to get him home I think we picked this dog did he get it from Animal Control yeah this is the dog that we brought up there last night before it was just wandering a little leash on a yellow lab this is the same dog yeah should we I don't know what the fire department has there was like a Ticketmaster dog I don't have a helmet I don't know I think it's just moving a little bitter you have ID on you all right yes sir like I said I promise you I you know I'm not I was not right and you do not walk nearby all the way there I swear I did yes sir I swear I would not that would be too fast well you killed your dog thank you so how'd you know it was up at the uh so how the dog come to be laying out here like this well like I said he picked me he picked me up and gave me a ride because yeah we were on the way home the dog's playing just like that yeah and I said what's wrong with the dog yeah he was fine before because he was like laying there no you don't take care of that clearly yesterday is a perfect example because this is the exact same dog that's wandering it's the exact same dog you don't need to have a dog bro I'll tell you that right now and and you ain't gonna tell me look at me you ain't gonna tell me that you didn't ride your bike some other ways we have it there ain't no jewelry we can yeah there's cameras all the way do that okay it he already drank it at what point did he drink it we're at uh that would it was before before birth so Burger King up in Sebastian is the last time yeah the one it's over by uh 512 in yeah spontaneous one you go over to the beach right in that intersection it yeah okay so that's a ways away it's over by uh that Publix and that McDonald's okay it's that one all right now when I saw you had your bike on the rail and you had a leash on your dog yes and you're telling me that you do not pick up you do not ride your bike at all no sir so if we look at the cameras from all the way from everywhere all you've never got on your bike at one time no I I like I said he would he would have pulled me off I wouldn't be able to keep balance and I wouldn't do that to them because you know he's not walking he wasn't you know he's Trot okay and what was your what was your dog picked up for uh he got out this morning he pushed open the sliding glass door and I when I woke up this morning about seven o'clock I noticed that the back door was open and he was gone okay so I called in I just called the animal hospital I called him at home twice uh about 10 o'clock and about 12 o'clock okay how much you have to pay to get them out I didn't have to pay anything why and why didn't you have anybody to go pick the dog up yes sir all right whatever you do not ride that leash with the dog are you telling me the truth with that yes sir I would not do that okay I promise you I said tight enough why why didn't you call somebody why would you walk a dog in this heat all that way I told you I don't have anyone else to call I don't my own well your roommate has a car yeah she's out of town where's she at she's at some I don't I don't know exactly what it is it's some of them I don't even know I don't even remember when did she come back tomorrow morning tomorrow night I don't I stopped every time he wanted to stop and he stopped every time I wanted to stop and I made sure that I got I went and bought him water he 'd be because I told you I thought it is yes sir that's a long way it is a long way without water and where'd you get the water um I brought I brought a couple bottles with me and I drank one on the way there and then I split one with them yeah way back all right just sit tight let me get with animal control guy okay okay I found your dog last night walking a block away he was dragging a leash that's nice how did he get loose foreign but he didn't he had a leash on like you tied him outside on a leash [Music] why would he have a leash on inside [Music] what he just had it on if you forgot to take it off but he was inside your house and the dog was very very friendly and was not likely to run away I think you had that dog tied outside on that short leash and the dog got loose off that leash and that's why he was dragging that leash because I drove all over the place with my lights on looking for somebody looking for that dog did you have that dog tied outside on that leash did you have that dog tied outside on that leash no sir I did not why did I have a leash on because I left the lease on him whenever I brought him aside where was it where was what where was the dog he was in on his dog bed you know in his dog bed with a leash on yeah because like when I took him from walk yeah I forgot I forgot to take it off of him when did you take him for a walk uh a lot it was [ __ ] that is probably after it was after dinner so about that eight o'clock probably last night eight o'clock yesterday last night you know what time I picked him up at about three o'clock in the morning so it oh I'm gonna say because so you left that dog on a leash inside your house after a walk from eight o'clock till three o'clock in the morning and he he opened up he opened up your own your slider glass door and walked out the gate uh that I don't know how I got and then walked around the block that part I I think you had that dog tied up out on a leash where was it where was it tied it wasn't tied up outside do you have anybody to validate this story no do you live with anybody uh yeah but she's out of town right now she's not here what's her contact information her phone number is uh 405. does she live here yeah where was she when was she last here couple of days ago how long have you had this dog we've had him since 2019. 2019. we got him towards the end of the year or no at the beginning of the year about here yeah this is the leash and the collar that he was wearing last night you see how dirty the leash is you can go back to sitting down or whatever you were doing you want a pizza here oh yeah we got enough oh yeah okay because um you tell me what I need to do and oh yeah I mean I got a statement on here that he picked the dog up at 2 30. even express how hot it was and walks this dog all the way to 49th where I saw it laying in heavy breathing a human would get right yeah yeah a human would get um he's heat exhaustion from work walking all that way that's the violation of animal cruelty that's the felony park right there all right what time did he pick up the dog today the first sergeant at 2 30. that's what he says and I can find that information out tomorrow through the shelter I can call down there and see what time he actually did get to go the exact time for him it won't be a problem and I caught him up there and he didn't have any water or anything on him yeah he he said he had two bottled waters earlier he drank one and split one with a dog and then he stopped at Burger King and got some water and then he made it to where I saw him and the dog was laying over the guard around he said it's been um you can put that in there when I first asked him so you need any help or anything wrong because no the dog's just tired and I gotta look at the dog your dog getting tired the dog's dying and see his tongue hanging out and barely breathing yeah so where do you live at and he said over here and I we threw it in the back and hauling ass over here I turned the air on but as we throw some water on it it shook a little bit and it died and 100 degree heat today that dog had a half a bottle of water between 2 30 and 5 30. yeah I think it's it's willful and wanting yeah I mean and not to mention I I I he he let the thing go last night and then he picks it up and I mean no means of transportation and that heat in the middle of the day oh yeah what does he expect I know not to mention walking a dog on asphalt that's they they he's picking up all that heat through his paws on top of it yeah and he knew something was wrong with the dog this is yeah I'm I'm a huge animal lovers it just makes me really really good it's such a nice dog too man I mean it it came right to me and I even said to myself I'm like man I would take this thing home if I could have a dog right now I would have I would have immediately turned around and said to to the uh SPCA or Humane Society you know let me adopt it regret it well the dog was 100 healthy last night yeah okay he was really thirsty yeah and I suspect that the dog was tied outside I don't believe this story yeah and the dog was wander around for hours I would put that in your pork that you're oh yeah brief and that his dog was animal controls took him and he decides to go pick him up and walk him all the way back we were responded to hey my dog's getting too hot and I get it wrong absolutely absolutely he could have made a simple phone call yeah Devin what's your phone number you got to speak up and you had your cell phone on you the whole day Mike said he died why did you not call at any point walking your dog in 100 degree weather down from 7 700 block or 77th and 66 basically you could have called us your dog you killed your dog in 100 degree weather how how hot do you think that pavement is for his paws soaking up all that heat through his paws and not having heat you gave him a half a bottle of water that entire time when you drank a bottle yourself you drank a bottle of water for yourself you gave your dog who doesn't even have the ability to sweat and is wearing a fur coat a half a bottle of water between 2 30 in the afternoon and 5 30. I thought I bought him the water on water on the way back too yeah you bought him water at Burger King all the way over here at 53rd 53rd and you and Old Dixie so you even walked him further past your house to go over to Burger King yes it wasn't past my house the ASPCA is west of there of here it's west of here I'm telling you it's not a negotiation you walked a dog all the way over to Burger King because what you were hungry I got I went there you could have came right here it would have been closer you subjected the dog to even further distance and further heat to go over to Burger King and you gave me water when it was already too late and my sergeant rolls up and sees the dog dying and you didn't even make a phone call my phone died your phone died yes it's dead in my pocket right now you didn't say it died before yeah I told you it died and what how could you think that was a good idea to begin with to go up there I had that I that is just my [ __ ] stupidity I have that old man that is my [ __ ] what's your dog's name there's Benjamin Benjamin yes well Benjamin was a very very nice dog I was inclined to take him home myself when I picked him up last night that was a good dog what how old was Benjamin there shouldn't be any animals in this house Devin I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you you should never own a dog ever again ever again for the rest of your life also stand up put your hands behind your back why you're under arrest for animal cruelty thank you do you have anything on your person that's gonna poke me or stick me you have any weapons my headphones in this pocket nothing else stretch your feet I'm gonna let you look at Benjamin one more time now you're going to go to jail on a felony really yes you think you don't deserve it no I probably do probably no you didn't love it because you wouldn't have done that to him sit back face that way foreign
