Can you open the door so I can talk to you? [music] >> Open the door. >> Open the door. >> You do not need to talk to her. Period. Step down. Know your place. >> These people seem to think the law doesn't apply to them right up until the handcuffs go on. Let's watch these nononsense officers bring these self-proclaimed [music] sovereign citizen straight back to reality. STEP OUT NOW. STEP OUT NOW. YOU'RE kidnapping me. You're kidnapping me. >> Watch until the end so you don't miss the most memorable moments. Don't forget to subscribe to the channel and leave a comment [music] telling us which situation stood out to you the most. This car and its driver probably should have been taken off the road from the start. No plate, no registration, no insurance. And in [music] less than 2 minutes, you're about to get a full lecture on government authority. Of course. Okay. Good. I'm not contracting. I'm contacting the vehicle. So, I'll use money solely for the purchase. >> Okay. >> It all started when police pulled over a Tesla for having no rear license plate. But this woman wasn't just planning to argue about the car. She was getting ready to argue about the entire legal system. >> Why do you not have a license plate on the back of the Tesla? >> This is a random car. I just pushed it up at the front. >> Where's the temporary tag? >> Should be on the back. >> Oh, bro. Like on the >> on the back. There's nothing there. So, I don't know. Maybe you lost it while you were driving. >> That's insurance. We're going to need that, too. And your license. >> I don't need to give you guys anything. >> What's your issue? Why are you being like that? I should have stopped you because you don't have the license plate. You said that it should be. They're right. And I told you that it's not. So then where is it? >> Ma'am, I don't know. >> Okay. So then that's why I'm asking you. Okay. And then in order for me to move forward, I will need the information cuz obviously I can't get anything off of a tag that's not there. >> Got to release your name and uh name and name and date of birth and uh has to show you a form of ID. >> What is your name? >> I'm not contracting with you, but I've given my name. I want to make sure >> of course. >> Okay, good. I'm not contracting with the state. I'm not contracting with you whatsoever. I'll use my name solely for the purposes. >> Okay. >> I'm seriously fed up with the whole I'm not driving, I'm traveling routine. And it looks like the officers were running out of patience as well because they were now preparing to remove her from the vehicle and told her that both the driver and passenger would be removed while they completed their checks. >> Ma'am, we have to be able to identify you because you're lawfully being stopped. >> Lawful being stopped under what grounds? >> You have no tag on your vehicle, >> right? And as I just mentioned, >> I'm sorry. >> Huh? Why are you guys surrounding my vehicle right now? Cuz now I feel threatened. >> You have PC to tow the car without a tag on it right now. >> So you have no tag on your vehicle. That's why you're being stopped. >> Okay. So being that you're on a lawful stop. You're being lawfully stopped with probable cause of having no tag. >> What crime is that? >> You have no You're not understanding. You have no >> That's not a crime. That's not a crime. >> That is a crime. Yes, it is. It's not a crime. >> Yes, it is. >> Quick, get your attorney. Are you going to identify yourself? You have to have some type of way to identify. >> Okay. What are you looking at? 104. >> She's talking to you. So then talk to her. If I was going to talk to you, you should have done that earlier. >> Looking all over my stuff. >> I'm actually listening to the radio. So >> ID for us to identify it. >> It's in my trunk. >> Where in your trunk? What's where in your trunk? Like in the bag? >> Yes. in a packet cuz I just I unrolled her to the school. So I have a packet that's full of all of my personal documents, my social, my passport, etc. >> So it's in a bag in the trunk. Correct. >> What color is the bag? >> Not in a bag, it's in a pouch. >> Okay. So what color is the pouch? >> Purple. >> So it's a purple pouch in the trunk that has your ID in it. >> Okay. So can you open the trunk so we can get your ID? >> I I can open the trunk and get my >> No, we cannot allow you to get out and go in the trunk. Well, I'm not allowing you to go in and and >> Okay. So, can you give us your name? >> I just did. I just gave it to >> first name, last name. Give it to her. >> We're going to need more information than what you were telling us. Either you allow for us to get the documents out of your trunk or you give us the information verbally. Those are your only two options at this time. >> You have to I'm trying to work with you, but you guys are being extremely extremely aggressive. >> Y >> you have to identify. >> Make sure you're ready to get her out of the car. >> All right. We're gonna go ahead and buff. >> You're gonna what? >> Okay. >> All right. Is the car off? >> Excuse me. What are you about to do? >> Is the car off, ma'am? >> We're going to remove you and the passenger out of the vehicle due to you not wanting to cooperate with us and provide us the information that we are asking for you to give us. >> But even when a supervisor arrived, that still wasn't enough to bring the legal lecture to an end. Instead, she turned to a female officer and started giving her orders. [music] There's something rather funny about watching someone in handcuffs explain to the police how they're supposed [music] to do their jobs. >> You're not cooperating. >> I'm going to get the benom off the vehicle. I need all of y'all badge, your names, your badge numbers, etc. >> Just go ahead and you can lean up against the car. >> Can you let go of me? >> No. So then lean against the car. >> Oh, lean against cover. Let go of me. >> Stay right there. >> You put in >> I have not committed a crime. You need to get me out of these damn >> hands. We already tried talking. We're done. >> Where'd you supervisor? Sir. Sir, since she is not cooperating as as an individual doing her duties and her job, >> she's doing exactly what she should be doing. Ma'am, >> would be happy to get a supervisor here for you. Okay. >> I need them now. >> Right now, >> he's calling. >> You've been uncooperative so far, ma'am. So, you're going to remain in cuffs until we're comfortable that you're cooperative. Okay. >> Number 28 by Vin. Am I being arrested? >> You said you're being detained until we got >> Am I being arrested? I need these off of me right now. >> We're going to wait for our supervisor like you requested, right? >> I didn't request to be yanked out of my vehicle. >> Okay. Due to you not cooperating with us. That's what happened. So now we're going to do what you want and you call for our supervisor. He's going to be on the way. You can talk to him further. >> Five Yankee Juliet three. >> But just so you know what's happening, right? So your mom's being detained right now because she's driving a vehicle without a license plate on it, right? So we don't know what's going on. So she's being detained. You're not detained. We just need to get you out of the car because the car is like you're going to be to SC. Do you mind closing that door for me on the car? Thank you. Not Not you, ma'am. Not you, ma. >> Get the hair out of my eyes. Please. >> The officer there can help you with that. >> I don't want her to touch me again. >> It's fine. Please >> get out of my mouth. Okay. So, you're not you're not being the thing, man, right? Your uh your mom is. Okay. So, if somebody comes to pick you up, whatever it is, they're welcome to do that. You do not have to stay here should you not want to. Okay? If you want to remain with your mom, you're welcome to do that. I'm just here to make sure that no cars hit you, that you're safe, and all that stuff. You're free to go um anywhere you wish. >> Hey, SEG. I think she's passenger in the house. So, I'm just making sure she's okay. >> Okay. What do we got going on? >> Okay. >> How can I help? >> There's no crime, which is not. I need to get removed from these handcuffs right now. >> Okay. >> These aggressive ass cops surrounded my car, surround my vehicle without my consent. >> Open my door unlawfully and yank me out of my car. >> Okay. >> When I'm not driving, I am not doing any commercial activity right now. That's my daughter. She's going to school. You said you're you weren't driving, >> correct? I'm traveling and I and I know y'all don't like to play by the real rules, but I already know them. >> Okay. >> I'm not going to uh accept anything less than >> and everyone here is going to be sued, >> okay, >> for their unlawful behavior right now. This is unreal. >> Okay. >> Not only that, but I'm pregnant and she touched me in ways that is is not acceptable. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Let me uh just stay here. I'll talk to the other officer. See what you guys got going on. Okay. have a fight over. >> Ma'am, your daughter said that you guys were on your way to school. Is that correct? All right. So, I know she needs to get over there. So, you have like school books or something like that, a bag. >> Okay. So, I'm going to I'm going to go in there and get that for you. >> What makes you guys think that you can touch my personal property? Like, who are you? Where is it >> right now? Ma'am, >> I've not done anything other than drive home. You guys have literally yanked me out of my vehicle at 7:00 already. No, I don't understand how aggressive this woman is in front of me. You're still trying to make me speak with her. >> Vinnie, I'm trying. >> So, we're going to just open the door and her daughter's going to grab this. >> We We don't We don't know what's in there, right? I I don't have no reason to believe that your daughter wants to hurt me or anything like that, right? I just don't know what's in there. So, I remove us from the car. >> I need to make sure that whatever she gets is not going to hurt us. That's all I'm trying to do. Okay. You are >> ridiculous. I can't come over here. Okay. your stuff. Can we open this door over here? Is that okay? >> Okay. I just don't want you sit over there with cars. >> Sorry, I just want to um speak my office. >> Sounds good. >> Good. Uh that stay in here, right? Um I'm just going to close this for you so it doesn't get all over the car. It was mom. >> Is it okay if she gets her phone? >> Do you know where it is? >> Okay. Show it to your mom. Make sure that's that's your phone. >> Don't not touch my >> Put this phone back in the car, please. >> You can't give it to your mom. Do you Are you going to take it with you? >> Oh, no. She's giving it to me. Why? >> You can't have your phone. She said she was taking it with me back in the car. >> Okay. >> Why can I not have my phone? >> Cuz you're detained right now, ma'am. >> For what crime? >> The officer explained that to you already, right? >> No, there's no crime. Take >> Are you taking this with you or are you leaving the car? >> Leader in the car. >> Leaving the car. >> Somewhere in the middle of an argument about contracting with the state badge numbers and government authority. She seemed far more concerned about getting her daughter to school. The problem was that the car without a license plate was no longer going anywhere. >> Somebody forgot. >> Hey, Vinnie, just let her know where her mom will be at. Okay. So, she could tell the adult. >> All right. Go ahead and do whatever you're going to do. If you want to just take her, we're going to tow the car. We're going to write her a ticket. >> Have you and mom been through this type of stuff before? >> No. >> Okay. Um, so just real quick, let me just explain to you and then this way you can explain to anybody else you need to know. >> Did I hear you say that their cameras weren't on? >> No, their cameras should have been one of them. I'm going to go watch their body camera footage and make sure that they handled you in a manner that was appropriate and if >> I have not resisted once. >> Your mom is required to provide us an ID, driver's license, name, date of birth, something like that. >> At that point, >> the law states that I don't even need to provide unless a crime has been committed. >> That's not true. If unless if do you have a Florida's driver's license or no? >> I do. >> Okay. So, when you sign for a Florida driver's license in part, you agree >> and I already revoked it. >> So, as I told her, my other ID is in my car. >> I'm sorry, my trunk. >> She wanted to go into my trunk. I don't trust either one of them because of the way that they treated me from the second they walked up to my car. >> The second they walked up to my car. >> Okay. So, probably by the time you get out of school today, she'll be out. >> Okay. >> Okay. just because just because you have nothing else better to do. >> Okay. >> You don't understand what's you don't understand what liability that you are. >> So, we're going to go ahead and get going because the the longer we keep you here, the longer this is something you'll probably be able to get through processed and be out uh within a reasonable amount of time or within 6 to 8 hours. So, the sooner we get you down and get you processed, the sooner you can get out. So, I'm not going to hold you here any longer. In the end, she was charged with several offenses, including resisting without violence and received citations for no tag displayed, registration not carried, license not carried, no proof of insurance, and driving on a suspended license without knowledge. Now that we've seen how this situation played out, let's take a look at some of the different opinions viewers shared about it. When an officer has to repeat step out now that many times, chances are the situation is no longer as straightforward as it should have been. On January 15th, an officer witnessed a minor collision between two vehicles. That was until the male passenger in one of the cars allegedly got out and pepper-sprayed the other driver. And just like that, a minor fender bender had turned into a much more serious investigation. >> Thirsten. Ma'am, I'm talking to you. You're the driver. Ma'am, I'm asking you to roll the window down to speak with me. You're the driver of this vehicle. >> Can you open the door so I can talk to you? >> Open the door. vehicle. >> Open the door. >> Ma'am, I'm trying to speak with you. >> Okay, one second here. >> Ma'am, I'm trying to speak with you. You're the driver of the vehicle. I'm trying to talk to you. I'm asking you to make contact with me on the other side of the vehicle so I can talk with you. Okay. >> Ma'am, can you step out of the vehicle so I can speak with you? Don't work. >> Ma'am, I'm asking you to speak. >> Ma'am, I will be breaking the window >> and ask and pulling you out of the vehicle. >> If you don't cooperate, >> we are allowed to be securing our person. >> I'm asking you to open the door on that side constitutional right. Do you not understand that? >> Ma'am, I'm asking you for an identification. >> Open the door. I'm going to break the window. I'm going to break the window and assist you out of the vehicle. Open the door and speak to me. Open the door and speak to me. I'm asking you to identify you. Identify yourself. You have a driver's license. I'm asking you to open the door and speak to me. >> By this point, the officers had three problems on their hands at once. The female driver was refusing to identify herself. The vehicle had no license plate and the male passenger didn't seem particularly interested in cooperating either. So, the officers decided it was time to move on to the next step. >> Refusing to identify herself, >> right? He's refusing to identify himself. >> Okay. As far as him right now, let's not worry about him. Let's worry about >> she's being the driver. She Yep. >> No plate on the vehicle. >> No plate on the vehicle. Yep. That's what we got. >> Hey, Walker. So, let's let's get her out of the vehicle. >> Got you. refuses coming out. All right. Well, we'll get in the vehicle. >> Okay. We'll pull her out, >> 25 her. She's not cooperating with us. >> And we'll tow the vehicle cuz there's no uh plates on the vehicle. >> Okay. >> My next problem is I hope she doesn't try to take off on us because, >> right, >> uh just because she's not pinned in or anything. So, >> I'm I'm in front of her. I can >> uh don't you have your guy? We'll block her from going anywhere. Jonesy, you can probably pull up a little bit closer, maybe. >> That way she doesn't take off running on us. >> Car window manufacturers must absolutely love sovereign citizens. But rather than immediately smashing the glass and dragging everyone out, the officers decided to take a little more time and prepare properly. >> He's asking if she walked OC to pull it into the window. Hey. Uh, >> there's somebody in the back seat. I don't know if it's a child. >> One one second here, Chris. >> A child or a male? >> It's a male. >> Younger. Young boy >> here. Walker. I don't know if I want to put OC in there right quick right yet because >> let's hold off until uh >> I don't want them to take off. You know what I'm saying? I don't >> And then they'll have OC in their I got some stator bikes in back. >> Go ahead. It wouldn't hurt. >> So, do you need a do we need a baton at this point? What you have? >> Yeah, I do. >> Yeah. >> We have a uh sovereign and citizen type person. So, here's the plan. We have three people in the car. >> Hey, let's uh >> You want me to shut it down? >> I want you to shut it down. Yep. 47 1187 would just shut the westbound traffic down right there. Uh then there's three people in the car, two male, one female driver refused to identify themselves. They're saying they're holding up paper saying they're sovereign citizens. We're going to make entry into the front. Get the driver out and then we'll uh I'd like to hook the front passenger up for obstructing with us. >> I've got the window breaker, so I'm going to go ahead and crack her window out. I'll take Y. So, I need wait for my loan to get here, but uh looks like definitely have less lethal, but I'm going to uh we need to have someone to uh cover. We're have a couple up to make contact here. >> Young younger male in the back seat. >> All right. When we open when we go take the driver, let him know, put his hands behind his back. I want to hit him with >> OC. Here's a here's also >> uh once we we're going to have to get her out and >> he's got a knife. one of the guys. So that's why I want someone to [screaming] be covered. >> Open the door. Step out now. It was practically playing on repeat, yet the door remained firmly shut. And honestly, you have to feel sorry for the child sitting in the back. Why would you put a child in that situation? Absolutely terrible parenting. This is a YouTube live. These guys are breaking up the window. >> They're trying to get us. >> Step out of the car. >> Step out of the vehicle over here. >> Step out. NOW. >> Exit the vehicle now. >> Get out. Hey, let go. PUT your hands behind your back. You are under arrest. Hands behind your back. You're under arrest. Step out. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I'm not resisting. I'm not blaming you. >> You are under arrest. Do not resist arrest. >> Resisting. >> You're under arrest. >> Hands behind your back. Hands behind your back. You're under arrest. >> I'm not resisting. I'm not. >> Hey, don't treat my 15year-old like that. >> He's not doing anything. I do. Give him one second. >> Be quiet. You're under arrest. >> None of us are resisting. >> Be quiet. You're under arrest. >> None of us are resisting. >> None of us are resisting. >> I'm not sure what encounter this man had just witnessed, but he and his wife very much seemed like they were resisting arrest, making it all the more satisfying to see them face the consequences of their actions. Medics were called for their 15-year-old son, Brian, who had been sitting in the back seat. His only misfortune being born to irresponsible parents. So, one of the [music] officers had plenty to say to the mother who could have prevented all of this, even if only for the sake of her son. >> Ma'am, what is your name? >> Ma'am, my wallet at >> Judith, this should have never happened. You hear me? This should have never happened. You should have cooperated with us. 15, 30, 16. >> Yeah, we got >> with the couple now in custody, the blocked roads were reopened and they were taken to jail. However, the officer had one last question. >> Name's Judith, right, Judith? This is a bad situation. I don't know what else to say. This This is terrible. This should never have happened. And my question to you is, why didn't you let this get that far? In the end, the couple were charged with assault, obstruction of official business, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. Leave your thoughts in the comments below, and let's see how viewers reacted to this one. At first, the officer only took notice because the vehicle's tag was mounted in the wrong place. But the closer he looked, the more it started to resemble a sovereign citizen tag rather than a legitimate license plate. On October 17th, what looked like a traffic stop that should have taken only a few minutes opened the familiar door to sovereign citizen logic. [music] Ignoring the officer's requests, the man instead handed him a stack of his own paperwork. >> Hey, what kind of tag is that? >> Yeah, it's a sovereign citizen. Yeah. >> Please go ahead and give me your license. >> I don't I don't have >> You don't have a license? >> No, I just have >> at all. >> No, I have the the proper right to travel. exercise my right to travel my paperwork. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> You going to accept that or do you need paperwork? >> Oh, no. No, no. That paperwork's not good for the Florida state statutes. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do me a favor. Go ahead and step out of the car for me. Ma'am, do you have a license at all? You do have a driver's license. A valid Florida driver's license. No. No. No. No. That's not how it works, guys. Come on out. >> All right. Do me a favor. Turn around. >> Yeah. >> All right. Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. Do not do this. Okay. >> Don't make anything of it. Okay. All right. >> Are you going to relax? >> Relax. >> Okay. Don't pull away from me. >> Okay. >> Yeah. But I I I'm unsure why I'm being rested right now. >> Right now? Because you're driving with no license. with a criminal violation. >> That's what I'm saying is my my there is no Florida man law statute that that is >> I'm saying my paperwork is >> okay. >> Well, here's the thing is as of right now you are violating the Florida state statutes which is what I enforce. Okay. >> Right now that's driving with no license. Okay. >> You don't have any jurisdiction of them. That's what I'm speaking. >> Okay. If you resist in any way there will be additional charges. Do you understand me? Okay. Are you going to >> Okay, good. >> Do you have anything on you? >> No. >> You want to go rest? >> No. Do you a favor? You're going to stay in the car. >> Thank you. >> What if it's tending to the market? That's fine. >> That's fine. We'll figure it out. Okay. We're going to stand over here. >> All right. I'm just going to hang out here. Okay. >> What is your name? >> What is it? >> Shivani. >> Is that your legal name? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> That's your given name on your birth certificate? >> No, that's my strong name. Okay. What is your legal name on your birth certificate? >> Okay. Nope. No, because you don't want to identify yourself. >> They want all the rights without accepting any of the responsibilities. Even identifying themselves somehow becomes a complicated exercise. But according to the officer >> that point, I'll just have the jail identify you. Go ahead and sit down. Actually, she needs to be searched. >> India was Indian. >> Yeah. Not too. >> When I get to the jail, am I going to find out that you have any warrants or anything like that? >> Okay. >> Most likely. >> Yeah. For another traffic charge that I had dropped. >> Well, it's not dropped if you have a warrant for it. >> Well, I went into the courtroom and they let me go. So, that was that was a quite interesting part of it. >> Oh. But then you just didn't show back up. No, I was in the courtroom and I stated that I am the special power of attorney. >> Okay. >> And they >> leave it with him. Yeah. Thank you. >> What is your name? >> Do you have your driver's license? A valid driver's license. So, you would be able to take the car? >> Yes. Why don't you just drive the car instead of him driving the car? I'm saying since you have a valid driver's license, whereas he doesn't cuz it's a violation to Does that make sense? >> Yeah. >> That doesn't that it doesn't work. >> Nope. No. There's there's no I am a law enforcement officer for the state of Florida. I enforce Florida state statutes. I did not enforce nor do I learn or know about sovereign citizen. That is not something that applies to us. Okay. >> So yeah. So if you >> Nope. Nope. And and that's the misunderstanding. >> There's no sovereign citizen laws that overtake Florida state statute. So but I mean they should probably teach you guys that. >> Do you have your driver's license? Thank you. H >> what happened? >> It's like a seven. >> It's like a seventh degree. >> So it is being used for commercial purposes. >> The same goes that >> who makes these anyways >> nope. Nope. I uh I am aware of all the Florida state statutes. Florida stat state statutes >> do not uh go >> and you should probably contact FDL and tell them that you want to educate people on sovereign citizens or add it into the Florida state statutes. until it's until it's added in. Then I don't uh I don't recognize or enforce or not enforce Florida state statute laws when it comes to a sovereign citizen. >> Florida state statutes. Thank you, ma'am. >> The what? >> No, no, no. Florida Department of Law Enforcement. They're the >> FDLE. Florida Department of Law Enforcement. They're the ones that create all the trainings for law enforcement officers. Yeah. >> This was no longer a debate about the right to travel. It was now a criminal offense. The man then proceeded to work his way through nearly the entire sovereign citizen greatest hits collection. Every time the officer explained state law, he seemed to come up with another legal sounding term. Are you aware of corporate entities? 14th amendment citizens. >> Corporate entities. >> Yeah. 14th Amendment citizens. >> What does it say? >> Uh it's just whenever you have a number >> you are a citizen which is a property of the estate. >> This is stuff I really recommend you check out on your own time >> doing the paperwork yourself. >> Mhm. Okay. You know who would really love to hear all this is the judge that you're going to talk to tomorrow. Of course, but I'm trying to educate you as well. >> Well, here's the thing is >> I appreciate it. I understand. I understand what you're trying to do. >> Your incident has been updated. >> I'm I'm hearing you. All right. Now, I'm recording. Miss Caitlyn, how long have you been with uh Mr. Manis? Have you ever gotten pulled over with him before >> where he's done this? This does not work. That incident does not work. All right. Bad. Okay. Um it's an unregistered vehicle. Out of the kindness of my heart, I am not going to tow it. I'm just going to leave it where it's at. If I see it back out, then now you know it's in a registered vehicle. You are driving a registered vehicle. That is against the law. I don't care what sovereign citizen rules are thrown out. That does not apply in this situation. If you want to use it somewhere else, you can. Not in Gatesville, Florida, where I enforce statute. Okay. Does that make sense? Perfect. Thank you. >> Here's your driver's license. You have a valid driver's license. >> Get the car registered. >> Andbody to drive legally or does that make sense? All right. You cannot drive this vehicle. Okay. But I'm sure you're not going to because you're going to go sell >> Yeah. >> stones, >> crystals. >> So, >> yeah. >> What happens with this car? You just not drive it. >> I'm going to assume that you're going to go get it properly registered before it gets moved. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> He goes to jail. >> All right. Registering. >> How? Same way you get your driver's license through the state of Florida. Okay. How did you get your Massachusetts driver's license? >> I'm from Massachusetts. >> Yeah. But how did you get it in Massachusetts? >> The DMV. >> Yeah. Yeah. Same way. It's going to be the same type of company. You register your driver. You register the vehicle. He'll probably have to do it. Same thing. They operate all of the driver's license vehicles. Any kind of license that you want. That sovereign citizen tag does not >> Okay. So, I just want to make sure that you're in state. >> Yeah. >> You cannot drive it until it's registered. It is not street legal. >> Okay. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Thank you all for coming. >> No longer in contact. Once I'm in a cell and right on top, you know. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. >> As soon as we get in there, um, as soon as we get inside, >> Yeah. >> the jail staff, what they'll do is, uh, they'll uncuff you and then you'll have to go through an X-ray and everything.
