My husband based on Do you understand the problem here [music] yourself? Cuz I don't think you do. >> Okay, please tell me. >> We're worried about this household. >> We I with real. >> So, we need So, so leaving isn't going to help. Leaving is not going to make this problem go away. >> On August 27th, 2025, Palm Bay police are called to the home of Nathan and Laura Forsick to investigate a domestic dispute. But what starts as a fight between parents will spiral into a twisted true crime story about a house of horrors. >> What's going on, man? You want to come up? >> You want to come over here to our car or do you want to stay there? >> Hey, do you trust me? >> Oh, yeah. I recognize you. Okay, we're good. >> Yeah, you're good. You want to just come over here and talk in front of my car? Do you need medical attention? >> No, I don't. Um Uh, we don't. >> Does she need medical attention? >> Uh, what we need to do is worry about the kids. There's kids in there, but we need to not say people with guns in there. Um, >> what's the house that? What's the address? >> There's six kids in the house right now. >> There's a dog in there. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Listen. Stay out here. Don't. Please do not go. >> No, no. We're not staying out. >> No, no, no, no, no, no. Wait. You're not going to talk to her? >> Yeah, we're going to talk. >> No, no, no, no, no, no. That's not a good idea. >> Why? >> Let me go talk to her and bring her out here. >> No, no, no, no, no, no. Listen, listen. You guys are not trusting me. Please >> listen. >> No, sir. >> Sir, just stay right here. She's telling you I'm the bad guy. She wants to get me shot. >> You'll just stay right do what she's going to do is release the dog. Don't please I without a lawyer present. I'm invoking my rights. >> Okay. >> Don't go on property without a warrant. Can you tell them to stop? >> We're here for a disturbance. >> Yes. No, I'm the one that called. Without a warrant, they can't. >> She called as well. >> Without a warrant. She needs to be out here. >> Okay. >> We have to talk with both parties. >> Okay. Cuz what she's going to do is release the dog. >> Listen, nobody is in trouble. Okay? We're here to figure out what's going on. >> Thank God. Um, can can you come in cuz I got the three kids here. >> The dog is in security. >> The dog is secure. >> We have FD, so we're going to leave the door open. >> FD. What's that? I'm sorry. >> Fire department. >> Oh, okay. Um, >> somebody request the fire department or they need it. >> Paramedics is [clears throat] what I said. >> Yes. >> Yeah. My husband is having a psychotic break. Unfortunately, I've never seen this before. >> So, what why are you saying that? He needs to be He was asking what happened today. >> Well, it started a couple of weeks ago. He has work stress and work stress was bringing on a manic episode and that turned into paranoid delusions. Um he had a therapy appointment, an emergency therapy appointment on Monday. I thought that talk therapy would be enough, but um he's now convinced that I'm going to kill him or >> he's on medication. >> No, he's just self-medicating with marijuana from the state. >> So, he's not prescribed. Does he see a doctor? >> Just a therapist. >> Is he diagnosed with anything? >> He's diagnosed with autism and ADHD. >> Suspected schizophrenia. >> Okay. So, he's diagnosed with uh autism. >> Autism and ADHD. >> Okay. And is he schizophrenic? >> He's suspected schizophrenia. >> Okay. He's not diagnosed. >> He's not diagnosed schizophrenic. That's what I want a medical professional. >> Autism right now. >> How do you got what what like what what transpired today? >> Today I I woke up. I realized she was trying to get her dad to kill me. >> Who was trying to kill you? >> Laura was I asked her, "Did you tell your dad yesterday to get the police to tell you? She wouldn't tell me." >> The police came out here yesterday? >> Yes, I did. For what? >> You can check the record. >> Well, our numeric are showing a different address. So, >> okay. I made a mistake. Yeah. I talked to three different officers for multiple hour for like maybe 30 minutes or so. They did the whole test of me because what her she's telling them is that I'm on meth. I am not on meth. >> Are you on any drugs or any alcohol or anything like that? >> Any any threats did he make? >> So last night was the first time in our entire marriage that it was his tone and the way he gripped my shoulder >> and then today and then today he just uh is he throwing things around or >> No, it's paranoid delusion. So he he is convinced that I'm going to kill him. He's going to my dad and this is all I'm here. >> Okay. >> All right. So we're going to um we're going to step out and go talk to him. >> But he took my phone. He wouldn't let me have a phone. He um prevented me from re-entering the house to take care of the children. >> Um he >> All right. Um >> I do not feel safe around my husband right now. >> Do you have anywhere you can go? >> No. This is my home and my parents live in Jupiter and I I could pick them all up and drive them to my parents. Like I suppose I can do that. >> That's you can you can do that. >> I got to ask you a few questions real quick. Okay. I gotta ask everybody these questions. They asked your wife these. We gota Are you listening? >> Yeah, I am. >> All right. Do you know what year it is? >> Uh, it's 2025. >> Do you know who the president is? >> Donald Trump. >> Do you know how many quarters are in a dollar? >> Uh, five. >> Five. Do you know >> four? Because it was five for 125 was the last time they asked me. So, >> so how many quarters are in a dollar? >> Four. >> Gotcha. Do you have any thoughts of hurting yourself or anybody else? >> Not at all. Protecting my kids. That's my scene. >> So, you have no thoughts about harming yourself or anybody else? >> Word about my kids in the situation. >> That's why I was trying to keep her out here. >> I got you. >> All right. I was talking to my sergeant. So, as of right now, he does not meet the criteria for a baker. However, you said that you're willing to go to a family's house. Um, we're while we're here, if you want to I don't know how much you have. We can't beat it. So, it's called a standby at this point. We're not going to stay here all day. I don't know if you're able to grab quickly. >> Grab the kids. Yeah. and just grab a couple of things cuz we can't be here all day if you can grab a whole bunch of stuff. >> If you're able to grab what you need, we'll do that. But again, we can't stay here all day. I understand. >> Okay. >> Just question while I'm here. Is there food in the house and stuff for the kids? So, you have a lot of kids. Am I able? Are we able to see? >> Uh, yeah. So, >> if you don't mind, just cuz you have a lot of kids. I didn't realize you had >> We're not staying here tonight. >> Okay. Are you currently pregnant? So, they said that you were >> Yes. >> Okay. So, you have seven kids. Hey. >> Um, cuz we were fine a few weeks ago. Everything was fine until we get the psychiatric break. Um, sorry, Mom. I just I didn't need to for you to find out that I'm pregnant that way. That was informing my parents that I'm pregnant. >> A friendly dog? Not a friendly dog. >> Um, sorry. Shoot. May. >> Sorry. I'm so not thinking. She's She's just protected by the kids. That's >> okay. >> She's friendly. She's just >> What happened to the wall? >> Yeah, we have a contract. What happened to the wall back there? >> The kids take it apart. We actually had a contractor come yesterday to give us a quote for fixing the wall and paddling it. Um, we have food. Um, he unfortunately has the beer, but um, you know, I was actually going to go to public stay room instead of apple juice, but now that's going to leave. >> Hey, puppy. >> It's okay. It's okay. >> Okay. All right. >> We got the pantry in there. We're both stocked with food. That's not Publix like 4 days a week. >> Okay. >> Yeah. So, um, >> is that where the dog sleeps? >> No. Well, yeah. Um, so we actually have the kids who destroy those. Our kids are severely autistic and they're the ones who did that. Um, and >> all all the kids or a couple >> top um so top four the older four are diagnosed autistic paneling. They're going to >> So go ahead and um Do you have food in the fridge? >> Yeah. Did you see it? >> Yeah, I saw that. And then the uh >> Yeah, it's all right. Don't you have to clean? >> And then what about the pantry? You have a pantry? >> Yeah. Um where he's standing And we keep it locked. Um, this is cuz the kids aren't allowed in here. Okay. All right. >> Hey, baby. Kids aren't allowed in here. Nice day. You >> have some snacks there. >> All right. >> Hey, cans of soup. Okay. >> All right. So, do you are you able to grab the stuff real real quick? >> We'll we'll hang outside for a minute. >> Um, so yeah, I need shoes and >> Okay. Whatever you got to do to get like just get a roll. Like I said, uh we're just not going to be here all day. So, >> understandable. >> We just figured we do it now since you said you don't want to be here. >> I I do not feel safe. >> After getting a glimpse inside the home, officers discuss the shocking conditions they've seen. >> So, I want you to look and see. Yeah. The uh first of all, yeah, I was there's no cameras and stuff, so maybe they can hear you, but um >> the health hazard is what I'm looking at. Like disgusting. >> Yeah. >> So, you got urine, smell, feces all over the floor, things destroyed. >> She's grabbing the stuff real quick. I told her not staying all day. She was on the phone with her her parents and uh I told I'm going to check on her in a couple minutes. You need to hurry up. We can't be here all day. >> Yeah, exactly. That's it. Um we signal 20 for real. >> Yeah. And she's not all there either. Um >> there's a lot going on in there. >> Yeah. She is currently pregnant. So and they're all there. >> Yeah. >> So she showed us the pantry and there's some food in there and snacks and and the fridge is nasty. Open up. There's food in there, but it's just like the house is nasty. Nasty. The living room and everything. So I wanted them to see it. >> Their sheetrock is all torn off the wall. >> It's it's it's nasty. So definitely a health hazard there. And they just moved here 6 months ago or 7 months ago. >> Yeah. The litter box is like overflowing. >> Oh, you can That's why >> are playing pretty much playing >> playing in it. >> Yeah. >> So, >> yeah. Tell her she has like five minutes. >> Okay. >> All right. upstairs. >> Okay. >> Please, please don't let him wander. Please do that. >> Yep. I got it. >> Yeah. Hey, buddy. >> Put the rock down. >> Hey, put the put the rock down. >> Yeah, we got behind. >> Yeah. >> That rock. >> Okay. Thank you. Put it down. >> She just picked up some letters. I don't know. What? Yeah. Don't. Those letters are not for you. Grab a lighter for >> I'll take those. >> She has She has your lighters. Oh, you want to grab that? >> Those are my husband's >> remember. >> Yeah, just in case if you want to take them out here. >> They were all over. >> Why the hell is here? >> Thank you so much for helping me. >> No problem. >> I know he told you different story. >> Did you find a key? >> Yeah. >> All right. Oh my love. Thank you for invitation. >> Really? >> What? >> You have to go. >> No, I said that couple minutes. I am. >> Oh no. Oh no. >> The car seats are not in the Why do the car seats? >> Please don't leave me. You're not going to be leaving if you guys leave. The car seats are taken out of the car. >> Where are they at? >> They're here. They're here in the back. They need to be assembled. I don't know why you did this. I can't do this onehanded. >> Never in my life did I think I'd have to leave like this. >> We had to have a marriage. He's never [crying] >> So sorry, baby girl. >> Is she going to be with all six kids in a car? >> That's not safe. >> As a father, I'm going to um >> You're in a minivan. They're fine. Oh wow. >> Trust me, my brother-in-law has nine. >> Is anyone following her? >> No one has to follow her. >> This water, she can drive into the water. >> She's not going to drive into the water. >> Do you know that about it? Do you know her? >> I don't know her, but she's not going to drive into the water. I can't I don't know the future. Do you >> listen? Do you understand what I'm saying? She has all six of my kids in one car. This is not something I'm comfortable in. I've witnessed her behavior in the past. Can we please just I'm okay with her leaving with the kids. Can we just make sure she doesn't drive off and go? >> We'll we'll follow her out. >> Thank you. >> Okay, I'm okay with that. >> All right. >> Okay. >> Yeah, they're they're right here. I'm I'm watching them. >> You're like the worst mother in the world right here. >> No, we have eyes. >> Yeah. >> Oh my god. Just never in my wildest dreams. I stand by my husband. I love him so much. >> Are you [snorts] married? >> Yeah. >> Understand? >> I understand. [snorts] >> Like I would die for him. >> I'm not that's not a sympathetic. I was I mean you know what I mean. I need a vow for Richard sickness and pills. He's not healthy. >> Let Sard know um I'm actually actually reconsidering or doing a uh information report on this. >> Okay. You can always information report situation. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> Thank you. >> We'll back out. Back out. >> Um just do me a favor. Um when you leave, don't stop to talk. Just just go. >> All right. >> Cuz we don't want to argue. >> Keep on going. >> All right. Waiting on you. >> You're welcome. >> So, do you want to go get some help? Do you want to go talk to somebody? cuz we can we can escort you there. >> We can we can give you a ride. >> So, are are you sure the kids are >> Yes. >> Yes, sir. >> We are 100% positive. >> Okay. >> If you if she comes back here, >> no one will I just want to be clear. If she comes back here, will her parents be here? When I >> We can't dictate the future. Her parents are not here now. >> Okay. >> We can always We can always talk about the what if, but we're talking about We're I know we're not on the same page here of what my concerns are. Right now, my concern is she's calling her parents. >> So, we're going to be on their way here. >> They're not They're not coming here. She left with the kids for now. >> She has her phone, right? >> She has her phone, but hear me out. She left with the kids right now as of right now. Okay. Kids are okay. That's the most important thing. >> All right. So, we're asking you if you we will give you a ride and go speak to somebody at Circle of Care if you need some assistance, okay? Voluntarily. That's what we're trying to get to. If you would like some help, we're willing to help you out. >> Let's Sarah, let's say I'm there for hours. Let's say I'm there for >> never come back. >> She comes back here and her parents are back here when I arrive. >> You can always come home. >> That's a situation I'm going to be shocked spot by her dad. You see, >> if you obviously you live at a caut. So if you turn this corner, listen to me, Nathan. If you turn this corner and you see your parents carrier, what does that tell you? Oh, I'm not going to go home. Maybe I should stop at the corner and call Palm Bay Police. >> That's my monster I'm afraid of is that guy. >> Well, they're in they're in uh Boca Raton right now. So, >> right now our concern is do you want us to help you? Yes. And taking >> So, my goal my goal this entire week when I woke up when I went to bed Sunday night was let's get help. I want to get other women in the house with the kids on >> and that's what we're gonna call CPS. >> Yes. And I don't >> we want to make sure >> here's here's the other goal. The kids should not be taken away. >> No, CPS is not here to take the kids. >> Yes, I agree. And so share her fear is that they're going to take the kids away and she may just to avoid that thing. >> That's not going to happen. >> All right. Do you want to ride or not? >> Do I have assurance? Okay. >> Yeah, you have assurance there. Okay. All right. >> Nathan is taken for a psychiatric evaluation. Later that day, officers return to the home of the Department of Children and Family Services or DCFS and discover this isn't the first time the Forsick family has been investigated. >> So, two priors in the past for Florida, one passed in Georgia, all for environmental hazards, always smelling dirty, disgusting. You know the drill. >> Yep. >> Um, always urine. That that's like the number one thing, urine and feces. Past two cases for Florida, we were not allowed inside. They refused. Um both times they told us get get off our property, you know, all the whole nine yards. Um father believes that there's an affair going on. Um like five hour lunches with the mother and some other random guy. She flew in from California. He's the bread winner. He works. He's the only one. He works from home. She doesn't work. She has like a minimal social media jobs, I believe he was saying. Um all six kids, non-verbal, autistic. Um there's something with nudity going on in the house. Like they want a babysitter who's okay with all that kind of stuff. Mom's diagnosed with bipolar type one. She refuses to be medicated. >> So she is bipolar. >> Okay. >> According according to dad, you know, >> that's what he told me. Yeah. >> Yeah. Same thing. >> So she refuses to get medicated. She refuses to get help. She refuses to see anyone. >> Um the reason why they don't want DCF involvement is cuz she's apparently got some kind of hatred towards us. Don't know why. >> Okay. >> Dad wants to get these kids AVA. wants to get therapy counsel, you know. >> Yeah, >> that's all I got. >> Yeah. So, >> you ready? >> Yeah. Let's go. >> Yeah. We just uh >> finished last time. >> What? >> Last time she stole the shock. >> Hey, remember me from earlier? >> Yeah. >> Hey. >> Hi. >> So, uh real quick before we continue, um do you did you find out any information regarding your husband? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, he is into the facility of care. >> Yes, I did. V I lying to you. I did take him voluntarily there. However, they made the decision. Okay. They made the decision. >> He he called me a couple of hours ago and saying that it was involuntary. I'm like, "No, I didn't. >> Yeah, I spoke to you." Okay. He's in his delusions right now, unfortunately. Thank you. I feel like I want to give you a hug. Thank you. >> I appreciate So, hear me out. Okay. Hear me out. Um, anytime we deal with kids and all that and and we have to we have to report to DCF. Okay. >> You uh we spoke to your husband. He did request um uh us to reach out as well even though we're going to do it anyways to DCF regarding to additional resources. >> Are you convinced that I'm going to him myself? >> Well, I'm I'm talking about resources or additional like help if needed. >> Is there child care? >> So So hear me out. DCF is here with we have to come out for uh security and and all that and all our own investigation. Since we were out here earlier and we already know kind of what's going on, >> we're out here again. Okay. So he we would like to come inside so you're not stuck out here and speak to you. He has some questions to ask you. >> So my husband does like when he's sane. My husband actually has this really strict like libertarian constitutional rights kind of thing going. Um so when he's actually a sane person, which he was until about two weeks ago, he is really strict on no one coming into I mean I invited you in this morning, but no one coming into the house um without a court order. >> Okay. >> Like I just request >> Okay. Yeah. I'm I'm not But hear me out with this, okay? I'm just explaining to you and >> not telling you what to do or anything like that. All right? Because everybody has rights. Um >> just like before how we came out here and we're doing an investigation to see what's going on, right? It's it's just a continu followup of that. You're an adult, right? You're you're the mom of a whole bunch of kids. All right. He's the father. Okay. He's at circles of care for that. All right. He asked and that's why we're he's out here. Okay. And I'm highly suggesting now is a time that you speak to him and see. And like I said, things can now hear me out. Hear me out. Hear me out. A lot of times DCF is not always a bad thing. They come out and they give you, hey, >> our experience has been extremely negative. >> I'm sorry for that. But I'm telling you, as an officer doing this for a while, that's not always a bad thing. They come out and they provide resources and stuff. And you probably could use it because you have a lot of kids. So, right now is the time for him just to ask some questions. We're here >> and to do that. Okay. You're an adult. You're grown up. >> Can we speed it up cuz I do a kids. >> Okay. So, can we please get this done? >> Well, no, cuz the kids >> What? >> No, we can stay out here. >> We can stay out here. >> So, let's just do this. Let's just talk. Okay. Sound good? >> Yes. >> Okay. Do you remember me? >> Yes. >> Okay. Last time we spoke, you know, you basically told me to go up the property. You didn't want any because you said you had had experiences with GCF before. >> Extremely bad. which I fully understand. You know, I'm not here to rehash that, okay? I just want to know what's going on today. And these events, >> this has never happened in my 11 years with my husband. I love him very, very much. He's a good man, >> okay? >> But he had this schizophrenic episode >> and he's at circles of care and he's currently still in that episode cuz he's currently denying everything. Um, so I'm really hoping that they get help so I can get my husband back. >> I went this morning. This officers graciously stayed with me a very long time so I could go down to my parents. Um, I came back when it became clear that my parents house is not childproof and ours is. So, um, the >> Are they local? >> No, they're in Jupiter. So, it was an hour and a half drive there and back. Yeah. And an hour and a half that we were there, my three-year-old broke their bookcase and we smashed two of their cat bolts. >> So, we decided to come home um because it's much safer for them here. And but my parents are actually coming tomorrow to spend the day with me. >> Yes. But my mom still works. I don't know why she still works, but she still works. Um, so she can't like stay indefinitely, you know, and my dad's elderly. He doesn't drive anymore. He can't see. >> Yeah, that's right. >> I mean, he can see, but like not to drive, you know. >> Um, but meanwhile, yes, I need child care help. That's actually something that we've been trying to get for a long time. And um, it needs to be someone who's extremely experienced with severely autistic kids because it can't be a normal like that was this is something that my husband said he was going to do for the past two weeks that it became part of his psychosis. So, not two weeks, two months actually. So for two months he's been crying. >> So right you're mentioning schizophrenia a lot. You're saying a lot of schizophrenic episodes. Has he ever been diagnosed with schizophrenia? >> So no it's just this one. Um so he told me two days ago that he's known since he was a teenager and every time someone's wanted to give him a diagnosis, [music] he's rejected it. >> Okay. >> Um but this is clearly a break from >> reality. I I was actually just writing to my therapist when you guys rang the door. Um because I have an entire list of delusions just from yesterday of things that I just wanted to bring up with her when I talk to her tomorrow. Okay. >> Um but he's lost. I love my husband so much. I just want to unpack, you know. >> Um [snorts] >> but no, he's not diagnosed and I'm assuming circles of care will take care of him and try to figure out if that is proper diagnosis. >> When I did meet him, he was fine. >> Yeah, he's he was fine when he met him. >> What happened [laughter] to him? >> I don't know. That's what I'm here to figure out. >> Well, [snorts] no, you're not. Not a doctor. >> Well, not that part, but child safety parts. >> So, >> actually, sorry I turned off. Did you actually talk to him today? >> I did talk to him, too. >> I talked to him less than an hour ago. >> Yeah, he's having a psychic break. >> Sure. Awesome. >> I'm so sorry. >> Don't be. He was pleasant with me. >> Good. >> He talked to me for a solid 45 minutes. >> Did he tell you that was trying to kill you? Kill him in the case. >> I can't tell you what he said, but I can say if that was the case, there'd be a lot more officers with you. >> Oh, that's probably true. [laughter] >> Okay. Do you have any history of domestic violence? >> No. No argument matches >> arguments. >> Arguments arguments. >> [ __ ] Very true. How do you handle those arguments? >> Um, so we like to spar. We intentional debate. >> Oh, okay. >> Not yet. I'm sorry. >> When you say spar, I'm thinking martial arts. >> Okay. >> We talk it out. >> Sounds good. Are is there ever like a screening match or like a anything like that near the kids? >> Um, no, not really. >> Okay, sounds good. Um, I understand. Mom, six kids. I heard you have one on the way. Congratulations. >> That's a lot to handle. It's a lot of stress. >> Well, no, it's actually usually when things are sane, it's usually fine. >> We're usually super on top of things, you know, aside from the fact that >> Yeah. >> the past couple of weeks have gone out of control since. >> Any reason for the trigger that you could think of? >> That's what I'm trying to figure out. So, >> like infidelity, >> two weeks, no, two and a half weeks ago, he got a new boss. >> He loves his new boss. He sees this guy as a mentor. He wanted to impress his new boss. We got all hyped up and I the way he explained it to me is because he's autistic, he had to really overthink the social stuff to impress his new boss and make a good connection. I think that triggered it, but that wasn't the only thing. >> He's also been exploring um things that happened in his past, his childhood. His mom died when he was really young. He didn't mention that. >> So um I really couldn't say what the exact trigger was, but I can pinpoint it to August 10th is when things started changing. >> Okay. And then it went crazy on Sunday. Sunday's got lost going to public. >> Today's what? August 28th to August 10th. Nothing physical in between that period of time. >> No hit strike safe. >> I don't know what to classify this. Last night after my parents called in a welfare shock. >> True. >> Police came. Um I told them I did not feel threatened. Everyone was safe. But then after they left, he went and he grabbed my shoulder really hard and he said something like if for the sake of our marriage something about a misunderstanding because I told him what I told my parents that made them call the police for check >> and so he was just not attached to reality and he >> I didn't feel like he was going to hit me or something but he was definitely threatening >> like he's not a violent person that's not in his nature. So, if he comes back at the end of the Baker Act in 3 days, do you feel safe in the house? >> No. >> Not Not unless he's he's better. >> He's still not my husband. >> I still need to see the kids. Need to make sure they're okay, happy, healthy, all that fun stuff. I already know that they're really nonverbal, so they'll be quick and then we'll go from there. Okay. Okay. >> Sound good? >> You want to bring them out one time? Sound good? Okay. Thank you. >> Laura brings each of her children out for the DCFS official to evaluate. As that's happening, she gets an unexpected call from her husband. >> He wants to go on paper to my husband. >> I love you so so much and I need you to come home safe. Okay. Please come home safe. >> Are you there? >> Yeah. Yeah. I heard you. Thank you. >> Okay. >> You want me to come home tonight? >> No, I do not want you to come home tonight. I need you to stay there so you can see the doctor in the morning and then come home when you're when you're my husband again. >> Okay. >> I loved you so much. Can you tell them that we're going to be okay? So they trust that we can be together. >> Of course we can be together when you're saying okay. I love you so much. I never want to leave you. >> I want they don't think that I can be with you. They won't let me hold. >> Well, yeah. I kind of agree with that. I'll be honest. Um the things that you were texting yesterday about Oh god, I don't want to say it in front of company. Um but like I said, I made a whole list. I was about to send it to Evelyn before they knocked on the door. Um, but you you [snorts] um you were not in the same place yesterday. I love you so so much. >> Can you can you give them a wisdom because they they're going to come back and they have they need evidence that that I don't know what you're talking about. >> Okay. Can we talk about it later when you're a little bit better? >> Yeah, but how am I going to get better if you tell them? >> Well, the doctor's going to see you in the morning. >> I mean, I can talk to them for sure. He's going to talk to me after he sees you. Yeah, I absolutely was going to talk to them and I gave them Evelyn's number as well. >> Okay. All right. >> I love you. I love you. >> You gave who the number? >> Oh, Evelyn is our therapist. We started seeing a therapist uh together but like separate sessions. Um after it was suspected that I'm bipolar. But >> you said you gave somebody a number. Who? Gave who a number? >> Evelyn. >> Okay. >> You give that number to >> to circles of care. >> Okay. Okay. When I did the impatient call, um, they wanted to know his therapist. Okay. >> You know, you have >> without permission or a search warrant, officers are unable to investigate the home. Having hit a wall, they're forced to leave for now. Then, just one week later, they're called back to the house for another domestic dispute. This time, they're determined not to leave until they can fully investigate the home. >> So, I got a call from multiple people like, "He's just drunk in and out the last two days. She can't take care of stiff place >> and there's major concerns inside they never house >> and I I don't know if he's in like deplorable condition. I don't know. I know they were able to briefly in there cuz we've had so many reports here. So this time he's drunk. He's calling mom a demon and um >> so basically we're just trying to get in contact with dad >> dad and make sure the kid Yeah. Make sure mom's pregnant. I can't believe it. She's pregnant supposedly again. Okay. >> She said she's spotting. I didn't This is I got from secondary. This is her parents called. >> Hi. Hi. Is Nathan here? >> Um he is. Please don't. Please don't. This will make this so much worse. I assume my parent this cuz my parents called. This is from >> DCF responded [clears throat] to or called to us that there's allegations that Nathan is threatening to kill the kids. So that he's extremely intoxicated. >> He's fine. Please go away. This is interpreting him. >> Laura, you're you're Listen, we're not going to do this. I was very nice last time. Okay. I worked with you guys last time. >> He's going to assume that you're here to kill him. He's going to assume that I >> I need to speak to Nathan. I talked to him last time. >> Okay. He's going to assume that I called you or that my parents called you because he's assuming that I'm trying to get him killed by police. >> I'm going to tell him that you didn't call >> beat. Are you kidding? >> He was very cool with me last time. Okay. >> He has a false memory that I ran out here in front of you all yelling gun so that you'd kill me. Did I do that? No, but >> he has a false. >> Maybe I can try and clear that up for him or help him out with it. Or >> he is currently very out of it as in not physically like not psychologically here. He's his mind is not here. He is making up a lot of paranoid delusions and one of them is that I called the cops so that I can get him killed. >> My husband thinks I'm trying to kill him. >> Do you understand the problem here yourself? Cuz I don't think you do. >> Okay, please tell me. We're worried >> about this household. >> We I with real reason. >> So we need So leaving isn't going to help. Leaving is not going to make this problem go away. >> I don't need anything right now except child care. I have been solo parenting for days now. Six children. I am essentially homebound. About two hours ago, he just left the house, left his phone, left our seven-year-old in the backyard. So I've been like >> You left seven-year-old in the backyard? >> Yeah. But I I was there. I was watching. and I got the seven-year-old in, right? But that's just his mindset right now. He's not present for the children right now because he's in his own paranoid delusion state. So, I've been watching the kids there right now I unattended because he's not able to watch them in his current mental state. So, you all being here is actually >> So, you know what he told me last time I talked to him? >> So, he probably told you that I'm crazy on medicated bipolar and trying to kill him. Yes. >> No. >> Okay. You said that you were manipulative and that you twist narratives to make him look like a bad guy and to make >> like um things are going on that maybe aren't going on to make you look like a better person than he is and him look like a lesser person so that people will ignore everything and leave everything be. >> Okay. My husband is a wonderful, wonderful man. I love him >> and I don't think he's not. I think he's an amazing husband and an amazing father, but he is not currently saying he's >> also just real quick, Laura. Also, this is an initial >> visit, right? >> Yeah. >> So, he's supposed to see he's supposed to see all of the children, all six of them. >> He is supposed to see the inside of the house to make sure there's food, to make sure that there's not deplorable living conditions to go inside the house. >> That's just that's just their their job. That's what they do. >> There is no warrant to search your house. Then you're not coming in the house. We can take the kids outside the house. >> He when he is seen, he is really big on first amendment rights. >> That's fine. And I'm not >> amend >> the fourth amendment. The illegal search and seizure. Okay. This isn't a search and seizure. >> I know. But he's really big on that when he >> This is just them >> looking to make sure you have food in the kitchen. The kids are >> So they did that on Wednesday. >> They did walk through the house. >> They went to the kitchen. >> Okay. >> On Wednesday. We have some issues. I with the wet with the wall in there. The kids who have apart the drywall. We actually have a contractor who I was texting today who's supposed to fix the drywall cuz the kids wreck it. So, it actually looks terrible in there. It's also a mess because they haven't had time to clean up in about 3 hours cuz he went missing for two hours. >> What about upstairs? Are you guys keeping the kids in the room still? How are you keeping the kids here? I know >> since I've been parenting solo, it's been a lot of >> Oh, yeah. Do you have a still lock them in the room? Is that >> They're fine. They're fine. Um, >> but are you locking them upstairs? No, they're fine. >> He's not asking are you locking them up there like imprisoning them in a room. He's asking is that like a secure location for them >> when you need them to be there. >> Yeah. So >> So our two older ones are elopers. >> Real quick. Real quick, >> we are not here to try and take your children from you >> cuz they will get they will get lost. >> We are not here to take your children from you. And we are not here to get you or Nathan arrested and taken to jail. crime credit. >> Listen, that is not why we're here. We are here because there is a mother in distress >> and there is a father in crisis and we are trying to fix those problems. >> I need child care help. >> So everything we are doing right now, there's there's more than just getting you child care help. There is more that we need to deal with. Okay? But we need to make sure that you are given the proper resources. And to do that, this gentleman needs to investigate. >> Okay? >> You can ask him about letting you in the car. It's up to him. It it's if you want to leave it up to Nathan, you can leave it up to Nathan. That's entirely. >> So, I'm not trying to force my way into your home. I don't want to. I am very big on the first, second, fourth amendment. I'm very big on the Constitution myself. Okay. >> She is determined that I am trying to get him killed by a [clears throat] gun from the police. Is that going to make it worse? This is going to make it so >> I think >> although I don't know how it can get much worse because he already assumes I'm trying to >> I think there's a chance that if we talk to him today that we may be able to to hopefully bring him back down just a little bit. >> He's >> don't know until we try. >> He's really deep into this. Okay. Thank you. >> We're going to back up a little bit so that it's not overwhelming when it comes out. >> Okay. >> I don't think she's being entirely truthful with us right now. >> Nope. >> No, nobody is. It's just being changing the story and changing the topic every two seconds that we start getting to where we need to be. >> Wow. >> I can guarantee you she's walking in >> Mhm. >> looking at her phone for a minute and then coming back up and saying >> just call for him. >> This is like borderline. I mean last thing I want to do. It's not enough. I mean, we've been hesitant. We're a lot of potential for these kids. >> He wants me to give you away his phone number so that you can call him. I told him that probably would not suffice. >> Yeah, I'll take his phone number. >> Okay. >> After talking with Nathan on the phone, officers convince him to come outside. >> Just do you have any weapons on you? >> No, but just do it anyway. >> All right. If you insist. >> Trust is important, right? Yeah. It's >> a cell phone. I have two I have a burning cell phone I just got. Yeah, my name's Officer McMahon. Like, we're just here to try and just have a conversation. >> I'm Nate. It's It's been a >> Best I can describe it. I can't describe it, but imagine I don't know. You've been on drugs for 10 years and you're coming down and you're realizing, >> "Holy, I've been on drugs for 10 years. I didn't realize it." >> Yeah. I I don't you know >> that's what the closest thing I can explain it to is just realizing when you realize your wife is bipolar one it's like psycho it's psycho >> all right let's walk down there she's not looking >> you want to talk for a bit >> uh talk right here >> you talk to him where >> I've been sleeping in the back outside cuz I want to distance myself from her cuz every time around her she just says and try to throw me too >> that's her intention so I'm just I'm a stonewall. Just >> so you guys are just getting rubble the streets. >> I'm not No, I'm not saying anything. It's It's She's picking at me. So, every time I step out the door, she says something to try to throw me into and I just go, "Huh?" >> So, the one uh benefit of that mental institution was I learned how to be, you know, just go ahead, give it to me. Just yell at me. >> I'll absorb it. I'm going to go back. I I >> Is she able to take care of the kids without you? >> No, I'm here. I work remotely 24/7. I have >> But when you're drinking I mean I'm just asking when you're drinking those beers, are you still able to take care of No, I know. >> Yes. >> No, I um uh >> is that what you >> I would say for her it's the concern of watching the kids is more than not caring for their education. As far as their health and safety, you should know I work in risk management at a bank. I'm a PhD. I'm a risk manager. You will never be a better risk management. >> So, the pool has like three layers of security for because that's how paranoid I am kind of person. Yeah. There's we had a fence around the Oh, I could go into it. I believe you. >> Yes. It's set up. So, my paranoia is imagine both of us just drop dead. >> Will the kids drown? No. >> That's my You know what I'm saying? Will that standard hold? Yes. Now, will the older kids not be developed? They won't be developed. And yeah, they're a little odd, but fun fact about me, I'm actually a non-verbal autistic myself. Everything I'm You're hearing talking is >> okay. >> It's not my comfort. I'm actually a texter. >> So, is mom diagnosed with bipolar? Is she taking medication? >> She's not. >> What is she? >> She's not diagnosed. She's >> What is she doing that's that's >> dangerous? What what do you think she's doing that's dangerous for you or >> Well, what with the the dangerous here the thing my process was um so I used to go to the office when I was years ago and I just thought I don't like hey and so I got permanent work from home remote large part because I I she needs someone to look over her shoulder a lot of I could tell you stuff about Ohio 10 years ago um that if you want to get a record on stuff it was an ER visit with our first kid she gave her the Advil bottle And I was at work that day. There's a record for that. Man, you know, is this my outcome? What I want to get to is what I want to get to a lawyer and I want to send like she can have everything. All of it. I just want to get to a place. I I thought the kids were in danger. >> What I realized the past couple weeks is no, she's going after me. They're they're in good condition. It just like I guess I'm worried about Josephine should be an Olympic swimmer or something. >> Oh, yeah. Like like I said upstairs I'll be able to keep you secure and >> Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah that's fine. It's more the >> Yeah. And that's the Yeah. And that's >> all we need to do is go in real quick and see the kids and then we'll be out. >> Inside I would say not I can take all the kids out but inside um I would just say keep her. >> Well, can you show me the You can take mom out. So then you can show me show me. >> So the rooms here I'm going to say why we're worried about the rooms. >> Yes. Why you're worried? while we're they both have the separate rooms, but Leo in the floor. >> Okay. >> The floor is like all over his room. Probably >> I cleaned it. I'm saying it's clean. What I'm saying is what we got on metaphorically by the CPS in Georgia was the room was empty. It just had a bed. >> And I'm like, dude, there's nothing on. >> Yeah. I'm like, he on the floor. And we try tried to stop. You see the dude? He's just on the floor. Like he likes the fact that it pisses you off. That's what he does. It's like when he pisses the floor, he [ __ ] on the floor. I clean it. So people don't understand the situation. >> They get judgment. So you >> I understand the situation. >> Yeah. So I'm not going to let you in the house until I trust that. We're not going to do that tonight. But now say I'm telling you tomorrow. My next step is to go to a lawyer tomorrow. And once I'm divorced, whatever you want for the kids will happen. Okay. >> Despite refusing entry, Nathan is still civil with police. But all that changes when he's asked to provide a voluntary urine test. >> Go get them to get the contract and get a court order before >> concerned that they can end up doing it. We can >> get a judge to do that. Get a judge to say that. >> I don't want to do that. >> Can Can you tell him to stop talking to me? No, >> I'll stop talking. Nathan, he's trying to expose himself. >> Yeah, I I want to work with you. I'm dead serious. I don't listen. >> So, let me let me just throw some stuff out there real quick. Okay. every contact they make when they do um any allegations of anything with children involved uh inadequate supervision, child abuse, child neglect, anything. All right, >> just a simple check on the children. They ask every parent and he didn't get a chance yet to to ask Laura, but he's going to ask Laura >> to to if she's willing to give us a urine sample as well to see if she has >> not alcohol, not legal. But no, that's fine. That's fine. You can see the kids. Anything else on my property, court order, or nothing else or where present period >> hardcore. >> So >> I had last week happen. >> Well, last week you did nothing happen. anything you talk to. >> I got put in a mental institution >> and no one need to talk to a lawyer. >> Yeah. Well, that >> I need to have a lawyer first before I even go. I need to have a lawyer. Do you everyone I need a lawyer. >> Okay. There's nothing against you. I want a lawyer. I want somebody who I know I'm paying >> because I don't trust. No. No. >> I'll show you the kids. >> I'm not Listen, I'm not Listen, Nathan. I'm not trying to push my way into your house, bro. I don't give a >> Okay. >> Going in the house. I don't care. All right. You want to be real? Let's be real. All right. Cuz you're starting to get verbally aggressive. So, I'm going to I'm going to bring it back down for us, okay? >> Ain't nobody trying to force their way into your house. All right? He has a job to do, just like I have a job to do. Right now, my job is seeing security. Make sure everybody keeps peace and is good, right? >> Yep. >> His job is to try to see the inside of the house to show that there's food in the home. >> Oh, okay. >> Whether there's groceries or not. >> Okay. >> That are just bought today. >> Okay. >> Food in the home. clothing for the children >> and a place for them to sleep. >> Whether that's a whether that's a >> a carpeted floor or not. Okay. >> Okay. Okay. We can do that. We can do that. Okay. It just I just >> It's not It's >> okay. Okay. I just You have to understand I'm really >> I totally understand. You got understand like you when someone when I hero is a I have a PhD card is my professor who I have two professors who took cases Supreme Court of Alabama and United States and they won. >> Wow. >> Yeah. I'm all about the amendment, man. I didn't get into this job to do >> to be one of those that violates civil rights. >> Okay. Okay. Let's do this. That's Let's do this. Let's do this. >> His fear is like, >> "Oh, I agree." >> You go in there and you're you're living like Scarface. >> No, I understand. I understand. No, I understand. I understand. You I got you. I got you. I got you. Okay. Let's do this. Okay. >> I'm not normally like this. I'm actually If you actually interviewed me in a normal time, be like, "Hey, quiet. Just doesn't talk." >> I talked to you the other day. >> I don't talk. I'm quiet. >> I don't want to talk. I don't want to talk to people. I want to be left alone. >> I agree. I agree. >> Oh man. >> And I'm telling you, since this bipolar one thing was 3 months ago, I was like, Laura, you need to get help. I don't know what's >> Where did she get diagnosed at her? >> She didn't get diagn she's not going to get diagnosed. >> She's not she's not going to get diagnosed and she's not going to get treated. >> No. >> Period. >> Because >> if she gets diagnosed, she can't go to six. Do you see? >> Yeah, I know. I know about the whole engineering thing, space thing. >> Yeah. She can't go to wheel and rock and she she >> she's a speaker, right? Isn't she a public speaker? >> You can go to you. Yeah. Yeah. So, she thinks this person that she's following this person that got a million followers and went to space on Jeff Bezos and that's what she was trying to do until I was like, "What are you doing?" >> Like, you [clears throat] can't take my I'm remote work. You can't take 20 hours a week. Let me with all the kids while I work. I'm going to lose my job. I mean, I could So, >> it's frustrating. Come on in. >> Welcome. You're welcome. >> Just does not go back where the kids are until I talk to her. Just let's not let the cats out. So, >> this is Oh, sorry. Sorry. >> Get through before the cats get >> Yeah. This is the uh >> Yeah, like I said, it's very basic. I mean, we we he rips >> We used to have a a ceiling fan and he ripped it apart. So, this is um their bathroom that they never use. >> Yeah. High five. >> How you doing, Ollie? >> Can we come in? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No problem. It just smells like poop in here. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Come on. Yeah. This is uh >> this is her. >> How you doing? I uh she tends to grab things, so I'd be careful of that. >> Okay. So, at night, are you able So, you have to lock the door. I guess this is a lot of >> Well, it's not, you know, lately. >> I understand cuz she said she ran away. >> She's not much of a runner anymore. It's actually something we don't even do as much anymore. >> Okay. >> Um, yeah, she used to be a runner. She used to even break. See, the windows are locked cuz she used to just >> Yeah. Can she get out that way or >> I mean, she could, but she's not trying to get anymore, >> you know? So that that's a positive. Um >> or does she know how to use the restroom? >> Yo, yeah. >> Yeah, she use it in here. >> She just doesn't care. >> Yeah, that's what we do. They uh they poop in the floors. >> We feel like we're the generally good better best to handle it. Um our plan is to turn that into a bedroom. I'll show you that. There's nothing in there right now. >> Uh but our plan was to turn that into another bedroom. There's nothing there now. Exactly. Just spare junk. This is where she does her YouTube stuff. Okay. The kitchen's got way to remove everyone out of the main area cuz we had to go through the main area. So, let me remove everyone main area. >> What? >> The jungle gym. >> Isn't it awesome? >> Yes. >> With me forgetting it. >> Yo, why don't you just go upstairs in our bedroom and sit for a bit? >> Okay. actually. Uh, >> hey, >> wonder if I have room to put something like that up for my house. >> Going to have a contractor start paneling. >> Daddy's coming in. >> We have a contractor. >> Okay. >> Who um was going to start today, >> but he is sick. >> All right, I got both. >> All right, so what else? Um, >> that's it. >> Okay, >> that's it. That's it. >> And we just talk to her real quick and it'll be out. >> Can I ask more of the same question as you? >> Do you have any more questions for me? >> No, I'm just going to >> No, I mean I would just work with her. I mean, we got to get these kids if you want. >> That's the main thing. >> Talk to me, not her. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Can I also show you something? >> Yes. >> What's up? >> This is the suitcase I packed Wednesday morning when I grabbed all the kids and went to my parents house. And this is the sign he made Saturday morning that he ripped up. Skitso. We are crazy and it's okay. He knows he's mentally ill. >> He know he knows it. No, we need help. >> Yeah, I I understand that. I appreciate you letting me understand. It helps. your radio guy. >> Yeah, it's on you three different times. >> It's not coming through today. >> Hey, well, I'll talk to you tomorrow. Okay, I'll follow up with you. >> I'm sorry. What is your name? >> I talked to you. I talked to your parents. You're born. >> Scott Zimmer. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. You were the one who told my parents at 10:00 at night that I that kids were dirty and malnourished. So, thank you for that. >> I don't understand that. >> Okay. 10:00. >> No, I I just want to make sure the kids are safe because I'm I'm concerned obviously like if they're going to the bathroom, they can get diseases. They don't have a place to wipe their hands. What do you What can you do about that? >> What can we do about it? >> What can we do? >> Jose went through a period of flooding when she had access to a bathroom in Georgia. She flooded the entire upstairs which caused a lot of more than $50,000 worth of damage to the house. What about like the the strong smells? Is there something you can do about that? The cat litter maybe? >> Um, I've been trying my best. >> Yeah, >> we probably need another house cleaner, but he said no to that. So, >> well, no, I mean like the the >> getting the cat litter smell under control. >> Cat litter is his um job >> cuz well, so like my wife's pregnant right now, so it's my job, too. My garage smells like cat litter because that's where the cat litter is. It's It's hard to, you know, I >> unless you're changing it every single day like dumping and >> not only is this is it his job, but he's not in the mindset right now of doing chores. He's right now only doing the trash, and that's not all he's able to do right now. >> After seeing the state of the home, police report that the children have been locked in their rooms without food, water, or access to a bathroom and with exposed electrical wiring. Nathan and Laura are charged with six counts of child neglect. An hour later, officers returned to arrest the couple. We're going to come over here. >> Hi. I'm sorry. I'm not even to sleep. That's all right. >> Oh my gosh. There's a lot of Why are there so many police here? >> Let's get Nathan out. >> Holy [ __ ] Are you taking him back? >> In the front. In the front. >> Me? >> Yeah. >> Oh, okay. Why? >> So, >> why am I under arrest? Can I get dressed? >> Where? >> And can I talk to a lawyer? >> You'll have an opportunity to talk to a lawyer. Okay. >> Okay. Why am I under arrest? So, we're going to we're going to take care of the situation at hand and then we'll go over everything. Okay. >> Okay. >> I'm going to double lock these so that they don't >> Did that drug test come out actually positive to anything? >> Drug test. >> Where's uh Nathan at right now? >> He's in the backyard blaring music. >> Okay. >> The kids are still There are toddlers upstairs and a baby. >> Do you want you want to call Nathan? >> The toddlers are um >> the toddlers are moment. >> What am I under arrest for, please? >> You're going to you're going to go with him. Okay. >> Also, I need to get dressed. >> Where's the dog at? >> Oh, the dog. >> Is it aggressive? >> Is it aggressive? >> No, but um protective of the kids. Please don't kill the dog. >> I ask you not to kill the dog, please. >> Dog is protective of the kids. Should be in the backyard. Okay. Um we're just going to have you sit back here. Okay. So, we uh Wrong one. Sorry. This is This is a Sorry. Um, so with how they came out here earlier, I guess, and talked with you. >> Um, they talked with DCF and everything and that's why we're taking this action. Um, DCF feels like there's immediate concerns for the children. So, they are going to take they're going to take custody of the children. They'll explain all of that to you. I just don't want to leave you blindsided. And if anything, they're going to try to call the grandparents >> um >> to do that first as opposed to just taking them. Okay, have a seat. >> Um from from the sounds of it though, the reason that you're in handcuffs, you're in handcuffs right now, the way you are is because I guess you're 8 weeks pregnant, right? >> Yes. >> Okay. Um there's with how whatever is going on in the house or or how everything was um they've established PC essentially to charge both you and dad with child neglect. >> Okay. Um >> pending court and everything. It'll sort itself out through court. But um from the sounds of it tonight, I think both of y'all are going to be going to jail. >> Okay. >> Who wants to keep a distance? >> Huh? Once I keep the distance, basically you'll meet me on the side gate in five minutes. >> Let's talk about this. Go ahead. Place your hands behind your back. >> Why are you arresting me? >> So you guys believed her? >> No, she's already she's already at the jail. >> So you guys arresting both of us? >> Yeah. >> Yes. >> Six counts of child neglect. So, I shouldn't have trusted you at all. >> I I don't have a lawyer at all. >> Oh, yeah. >> That's I mean, you have the name of a lawyer. We're going to write that down for you if you can provide it to us so that you have that and all that stuff. It's on file. Um >> I'm not the bad guy. >> Okay. Well, these children I agree are in a very bad >> I agree completely. >> So, listen. Just because you're charged doesn't mean you're convicted. Okay, Nathan. I want you to listen to me for a second, Nathan. Okay? work with DCF, work with the attorneys, okay, and get through this and figure out how we can get these. >> From my perspective, you guys lied to me completely to manipulate me to get me arrested. >> Okay? And you have every right to believe that, okay? >> Oh, it's true. >> You have every right to believe that. >> And it's my wife who lied to me. >> The the condition that those children are living in, >> I agree. >> Terrible. >> I agree. >> Okay. So So I'm telling you, talk to them and work through this. How am I going to get to the appointment to the lawyer tomorrow at 9:30 if I'm arrested? >> Well, you're going to have a phone call so you can call in and leave a message. >> I don't even know who the lawyer is. >> Then how are you going to go to them? >> Exactly. >> If you don't know where they are, >> you're arresting me and I'm telling you, I'm on your side. >> I'm on your side. >> After being released on bond, Nathan and Laura divorced. In early 2026, Laura was allowed unsupervised contact with the children again. Then in February, the 46th 16-month-old almost drowned in the family's backyard pool. Laura is charged with aggravated child abuse and her bond was revoked. All the charges against Nathan and Laura are continuing to unfold in the court system.
