questioned why he was being arrested claiming that everything in the car was his and that his bodyguard was innocent after discussing this case let's find out what happened with Connor McGregor who was arrested for stealing and destroying a man's cell phone at a nightclub Connor McGregor on March 11th 2019 an incident unfolded in Miami Beach that caught the attention of both the public and the police the famous fighter Connor McGregor was reported to have assaulted a man named armid at a nightclub according to Ahmed cono had not only smacked his phone out of his hand but also stomped pumped on it several times picked it up and walked away with it when Miami Beach officers received the report they prepared for a confrontation they headed to Conor A's apartment later that day expecting the situation to be tense however the reality was quite different from what they anticipated 11 an armed robbery does that mean sorry sir where he took property from somebody without any weapons okay by force and you have a warrant for his arrest not yet but we don't need a warrant because it's here in Miami day County understand the associate asked for 5 minutes to discuss the situation with Connor and the officers agreed hoping to resolve the matter quickly and efficiently can you give me five minutes to discuss it with him yeah is that right J yeah that's fine we completely cooperate problem at all okay appreciate we're trying to do this without any drama or anything like that same thing I don't be resistant to anything understand you got to do things what we' like to do is do it quick get him in the car at the station you guys will be able to bond him out before you know quick how long would he be in there do you know roughly it's a quick process but the quicker we could go I'm sure once he gets in and once he gets in the process at the station is going to be no less than 1 hour I'm hoping could I go along with him is that possible not with him but if you want to go to the station you're welcome okay and just follow you along or something and just wa around me of the station 11 Street Washington yeah we'll give we'll give you the address once what's your name sir sergeant loano and and you're you're you're running this yeah yeah so obviously the sooner the better because the media is probably going to start coming out and stuff yeah okay no problem at [Applause] all 1100 as they waited the associate explained that Connor was Consulting with his lawyers to understand the situation better and ensure everything was handled properly another minute or two knock on the [Applause] door fast minute more than when that guy came out he came out through the garage but he came in through here right [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] minutes but he is going to cooperate no I I get it I just don't want I just don't want to be out here waiting forever yeah I apologize for we figured that's what was going on yeah we're just getting our lawers and stuff set up so what to do and already have it someone taken care of about how get them okay cuz you guys can also do that at the station we can like work with you guys well anytime we discussing with him okay so we they're getting okay but no we're not trying to I got it I got it we get it however what was supposed to be a quick 5minute wait extended to over 15 minutes testing the patience of the officers they had initially approached the situation with leniency hoping for a swift cooperation As Time passed they realized that they might have been too [Applause] accommodating you know how many people yes I didn't know I thought maybe it was a rental it's an Airbnb okay from my understanding he's been here for a few weeks I think from my understanding he's been here for a few weeks I saw my Ocean Drive the other day oh that's South Beach right yeah 60th birthday I still haven't been in there huh I still haven't been in there [ __ ] overpriced told us where at haven't been in there either finally after more than an hour of waiting and conversing Connor made his appearance his associate emphasized that Connor was ready and did not have any belongings like jewelry that would complicate the booking process the officers although slightly frustrated by the delay appreciated the helpfulness of Connor is associate throughout the ordeal how you doing man yeah we're going to go out here gentleman in charge has being very powerful today sir he doesn't have anything on right or jewelry or anything makes it easier okay straight to t you guys going to follow the TGK yes sir if you don't mind follow yes sir he knows yes sir he said there's there is that right the police then escorted Connor to the station he was booked into jail but was released 4 hours later on a $112,500 bond in a turn of events all charges against Connor were eventually Dr dropped that wraps up our encounter involving famous people it's a compelling reminder that Fame doesn't Place anyone Above the Law especially when past legal issues are involved now we'd love to hear your thoughts drop your opinions in the comments below
