August 14th, 2025. Newport police respond to an unwanted party. Officers arrive, identify 34-year-old Devon Hogan as the suspects at the center of it all, and within moments, a routine call turns into something far more serious. >> [laughter] [screaming] [screaming] >> So, they want them trespassed. And they're just throwing a [ __ ] fit. They could have left without a scratch. Instead, they chose to resist, and now the bill was coming due. Yeah, thanks for cooperating with us. D E V O N? D E V O N So, they're going to go to the station. They're going to be processed, probably going to be released tonight. Um what's today? Thursday? Probably. You're most likely going to be released tonight, so. Um is there any questions I can be there? I mean, I have a ton of questions. >> course, yeah. Like I have no idea what's going on, so. >> So, disorderly conduct. So, right now they're just disorderly conduct, both of them, okay? That's what they're arrested for. Cuz she's not banging on my window, so. Is there anything else that should be considered from here to the station? What do you mean? Like, I don't know, she's yelling at you guys, or she's like doing anything. >> I mean, if she fights that, she's going to be I mean, there's going to be more charges. Um charges the charges, yeah, so. I mean, it's it's on her. She's not being cooperative at all. I mean, I appreciate your cooperation, but she's going to go. Okay. Um What is a disorderly conduct? What does that cost? >> It's a a danger violent tumultuous behavior, so. Basically what it is. Okay, so how much does that cost? Uh there's no cost right now. They're going to have a misdemeanor release. So, they're going to have district court summons. Okay, so >> Is she going to have like anything on her like a report, or like will her employer know about this? >> Employer will find out about it, yes. Um here's your ID back just so I don't forget it. >> Okay, thank you. Um let me go talk to them, see what they got, okay? Um they probably want to have them trespassed, both of them, from the park for council here, so. >> Okay. Um I'll be right back, right? Yeah, you're being a child. I never said you were in handcuffs. I said you're being a child. You're acting like a little kid. No, if I am illegally being detained You're not illegally being detained. You're arrested for disorderly conduct. I said you're under arrest. You're not detained. Now you're under arrest. Yes, you are. Yes. I'm being honest with you. You're being Okay, that's fine. Officer Adam Chang placed Devon Hogan under arrest, charging her with willful trespass under Rhode Island law. And with alcohol confirmed as a factor that night, it's hard to say anyone was surprised by how it ended.
