On June 18th, 2024, Orlando police responded to a disturbance at the United Airlines ticket counter after a customer became irate over a boarding pass issue and damaged multiple computers during the outburst, alarming travelers and Airmind staff. I'm supposed to be going to rehab. Well, you're not tonight. Okay, I destroyed three computers already. Three computers on the floor. The box in the bag. Hey, sir. Come here. What? What's going on? Don't Don't with me. Don't. You're fine. Don't Don't Don't grab me. Please don't grab me. Relax. Please don't grab me. Calm down and relax. Please don't grab me. I won't grab you as long as you keep your hands to yourself. You grab my hands. Acting like a fool inside. You ain't supposed to lay down on the ground. Okay, there. Roll over. Lay down. Lay down. Put your hands behind your back. Please, please to the right. Please get your act out. Relax. I won't act out. Please. You've been already acting out, Chief. You got ID on you. Where's it at? It's in my pocket. Which pocket? I just saw my dad. Put your knees up to each other. Oh, there you go. Okay. Just right there. What you got on your wonder? 182. All units 1097. We're 1012. Yeah, I know. Sit up on your butt. Ready? Come on. Two. Please stop. Where's your ID, Chief? Please stop. Please stop. Lean forward. You're okay. You're okay. Okay. Okay. Bring this leg in. Bring this leg in. You in. In. In. What do you mean by in? Bend your knee. I'll take the boots off. No. No. No. No. We're going to stand you up. No. There's the boots. There you go. There's nothing. No problem. Stand up. Can someone get a car? We need a car. Or do you want to bring him back to the office? I'm not bringing magic right now. I'm not trying to fight you guys. I do not disrespect you. I respect you, officer. I respect. Okay, let's talk over here. Let's talk over here. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. I will sit down and I will not do nothing. No problem. Want to see him on the bench? On the bench, but you can't be acting up. Breaking your beards. [Music] All right. So, did you already talk this to He just mentioned something about he did something about uh this. Yeah, this guy is drunk apparently. Uh I think he broke a computer or two. I'm not sure exactly how many. Walls accident figuring out now. You want to know if you want to trespass or not? Uh yeah, trespassing trespassing. I mean, poor disorder conduct. I mean, but the airline going to press charges about I I don't I don't know yet. They're they're doing that paperwork now. Yeah. We'll trespass for the soldier. I'm starting that paperwork right now for you. I fit that shirt on. Not yet. You want to find out what's going on first. Like I said, you shouldn't have took it off. He had no reason to. He had no reason to. My dad died. I've lost both my parents, too, Chief. I buried both of them. How old were you when you buried your family? When I What? How old were you when you buried your dad? It's 2006. And how old are you? I'm 53. I buried my dad last week. Yeah, I'm I'm trying to get help, bro. I understand. That's what the main thing is that I like I'm not looking to go on system and bang out and then be another game. I'm trying to go home, fix my life. still living in [Music] my parents. I'm trying to fix my life. But let me ask you this, brother. Okay. Let me ask you this. If you're truly trying to fix your life truly, is this how you do it? Honestly, now if you can answer that, you're on the right track. Okay, you're on the right track then, right? Cuz you see what happens. I'm just saying I'm just saying rehab. Yeah, rehab. This is not even like I'm trying to dug a What kind of rehab you want? You look for alcohol, substance abuse, what? Alcohol. Yeah, I'm I'm trying. How you lost your driver's license, isn't it? They pulled me over behind. Were you are you ever you normal Cocoa Beach, sir? Yeah. Are you normal? Like where Cocoa Beach? Like you know what that is? I know where Coco Beach is. Yeah. So, I'm not grabbing anything. I'm just trying to grab my shirt cuz it's cold. So, if you're normal with Cocoa Beach, I poured behind Best Western, dropped my truck off and went surfing during the day and I had to open containers in the bed of my truck and I had a bunch of concrete surf concrete crew, right? And then when the cops pulled up, can you put I'm not going to run off, man. Well, I'm not taking a handcuff on you right now, G. Sorry. You always Here's what I'll do. No, no. Here's what I'll do. I have one running off. Well, I know that, but I'm not going to take them off. Just hang on a second. Hang on. This is what I'll do for you right now. Okay. Yes. Did you ever get a boarding pass? No, I have a whole ticket. Where? From here. Where is it? My It's on my phone. Oh, okay. My flight leaves at 7:35. It's gone. If your flight left at 7:35, you weren't going to make it anyway, chief. There's no way possible. You'd have to still go through security and then get to the gate. You'd have never made it, no matter what. Were you trying to get rebooked? What do you mean rebooked? Were you trying to get rebooked on a different flight? No, I I had bought my thing out. No, I know. And yet you had a ticket. Were they trying to rebook you on a different flight? Yeah. I got the trespass already filled out. What else you want to So, here's the thing. First of all, we got two recruits. You got to figure out who's going to take it. It's actually trying to send them all over. They don't want to press. Okay. Or they can't. They have to go through the legal department. Well, then it's a trespass and it goes away. Well, they can trespass who they want. So, my whole thing is disorderly. Can't destroy property. So, to me, it's actually a paragraph. You know, it's real simple. You know, the way you acted when I first encountered you, that's why they're there. Well, I apologize. No, it's cool. I'm just trying. You were going to lose no matter what. Chief, I'm just trying to get out. And then it's one thing. It's one thing to go to jail and spend time in the commercial facility. It's one time. It's one type of thing to be rehabilitated. Well, the only the only way to get re and you're not rehabilitated in jail. And you know that for a fact unless you've worked as a deputy being in sheriff's office. Actually, I have. I retired as a deputy. Where'd you retire from? P county. P County. So, I've met very many sheriff's office deputies in Florida County Sheriff's Office, Prince of Tom Snider from Rockwood Squad. I need help, man. I'm trying to go to a rehab facility. Okay, that's where I was going. That my main planet. I have a flight ticket to a rehab. I I'm not trying to cause problems. You know, it'd be a lot easier for me to be like, "Oh, you know what? I will rob five Bank of America. That would be cool." Yeah. And guess what? That's a 10ear sentence. But for me to try to go to rehab, I'm trying to fix myself, man. Yeah. You guys can't do that. Not yet. Hang on. Super. We're going to find out what's going to go on here in just a few minutes. We'll work it from there. Yes. Oh yeah. You're not coming back to the airport. That's not happening tonight. It's not happening at this airport. I'm going tell you that right now. So, I'm not going to lie to you. I'm not going to blow sunshine up you, dude. Yeah. I appreciate that. I already have cups. I know. We're going to switch him out. Stand up. Stand up. Stand up. Stand up. Stand up. Face me. Yes, sir. I need help. I'm going to California to get help, man. Not right now. Yeah. Not right now. So, you know what? I'll be another addiction that just dies on you and it'll be all right. You know, I just saw another kid. Bubba, did you have to do what you did in there? I was trying to get my squad in there. I can argue with you on the force. I literally had my insurance company Uber me out here. I need to go to rehab. Would you rather me stay out here and be a drug dealer? somebody that's in running drugs through your streets or would you rather me go to rehab? Be honest to yourself. What would would you rather me sell drugs or would you rather somebody just be a user and I and try and go to rehab? I don't have a preference. Yeah. Yeah. You don't have preference. I don't because I don't do either. Because you know both answers are wrong. No, because I don't have a preference cuz I know do either. Is it guys? If you need help, we need help. I need talking. I want Let him fix. If you listen to me, when you If I open my phone, you need help. If I open my phone for If I open my phone for you, listen to me. I already spoke to your whoever the hell you have to report to. All right. I'm letting you know if I if you need help. There's 50,000 police officers walk around. We can help you. The minute you do what you did, we can no longer help you. We can't stop. No, we have to do our job. We can help. We can help without you going to jail. If I call the people right now that booked my plane ticket, please talk to them. I can go through a different airline. I'm trying to get out. My dad just died a week ago, man. Okay. So, here's You want to talk about me being reckless? Listen to me. You want to know I'm reckless? Okay. Let's go. I'll check. Turn that way. Too tight. Dude, I can fit my finger in there. Stop. Yeah, you fit your finger in there, you mother. Dude, I can fit my whole finger in there. Look at that. No, bro. When there were behind your No. No. Yeah. No. Knock it off. Don't. No. No. Don't. The door is not closing until you loose the cuffs. Bubba. This is not how you want to go. No. This how I want to go. The door is not looser. Now you're getting resisting charges. Bro, just loosen my You can put your entire finger through it. No, I can't. my door. The suspect was charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
