Oh my god. In the line of duty, police officers often face unpredictable dangers. From brutal ambushes and violent suspects to life or death struggles that unfold in seconds. Please, I beg your mercy. In today's video, we're diving into seven real life encounters where officers were pushed to their limits and some barely made it out alive. These are the moments that show just how quickly routine calls can turn into fights for survival. Let's begin with a terrifying moment where two officers came dangerously close to losing their lives. Get back now. You get back from me now. Give me t. On October 9th, 2021 in Australia, police were enforcing maskearing rules due to the CO9 pandemic. They approached a 15-year-old boy, but things quickly spiraled out of control. The team used a walkie-talkie to call his neighbor, 50-year-old Steven John Clear, for help. Clear showed up moments later, armed with a baseball bat and ready to fight the officers. Quickly, you go home quickly. Pick up your bag and go. No, you mate. You'll be tased. You get back now. You get back from me now. You'll be tased. Get your hand off him. Warning up. Get back now or you'll be tased. You'll be tased. Get back. Don't give me back door. Begin straight north. Get put that down. Get back. Yes. Call for help. 303 code 9, mate. Put your hands behind your back now. Put your hands behind your back now. Do it. Put your hands behind your back now. Do it. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands on. The situation quickly turned violent as the 15-year-old tried to grab one officer's gun. The fight split into two brutal one-on-one battles. One officer was overpowered by Clear, who viciously beat him with the bat. The officer was only saved when his partner stepped in just in time. Later, it was revealed that Steven Clear suffered from severe mental illness and was experiencing intense delusions during the attack. Despite the serious injuries inflicted on both officers, Clear received only 38 months in prison. He was convicted of assaulting a police officer and intentionally causing harm. As for the 15-year-old, he was charged in children's court. The next officer, a brave female cop, was knocked unconscious while trying to arrest a dangerous felon all by herself. Oh my god. On April 27th, 2023 in Oklahoma, a female officer responded to a call involving 26-year-old D'Angelo Wright. He had multiple felony warrants for kidnapping and aggravated assault and he had previously strangled the person who called the police. A few days earlier, she had gone to the building but found Wright wasn't home. This time reports said the suspect had returned and the officer went in alone. Yeah. Unsafe like a here. No. Dangelo. Are you Angelo? Yes. You know damn well you done nothing. Put that. Let me just pat you down. My tree got this is crazy guys. This is crazy. Let me just tighten down. Do you live here? Yes. Put your hands behind your back. Oh my god. Stop. Oh my god. That turned out to be a critical mistake. As soon as she confronted Wright, he attacked her violently. He knocked her unconscious and continued to beat her even after she was already down, causing serious injuries. The suspect ran off, but the manhunt didn't take long. He was found the next morning hiding in the laundry room of a nearby apartment building. Wright was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, causing great bodily injury, as well as domestic assault and battery by strangulation. He was later sentenced to 35 years in prison. The next officer tried to stop a shoplifter all by himself, but ended up needing help just to stay alive. Somebody help. On July 18th, 2023, a Lakewood police officer working an offduty security job noticed a man walking into a grocery store with a plastic bag. The man picked up several items, skipped the checkout, and tried to walk right out without paying. That's when the officer stepped in, grabbing the man and pulling him back into the store. But things quickly took a turn for the worse. The suspect overpowered the officer, slammed him to the ground, and locked him in a guillotine chokeold, cutting off his air supply. Somebody help. Please, I beg your mercy. Get out of here. Somebody help. Somebody help. We need help out here. We need help. I want you. You walk in and walk out. Yeah. I wish I could see. Come on. Let's go. You're going to go now. Lay down. [Music] I wasn't stealing. I wasn't resisting. Put your hands behind your back. I do not. I wasn't stealing. I wasn't stealing. Sorry. I wasn't stealing. Liar. [Music] Sorry. Is not a good idea. I guy's lips are purple. What are you trying to say? I wasn't. His lips are purple. Sorry. That was the wrong way to go. I was trying to tell you. Stop. I'm trying to step still. My knee. My knee. I don't give a damn about your knee after all that. I didn't mean to do any of that. It became a fight for survival. Luckily, backup arrived just in time. Officers stormed the store and managed to wrestle the violent suspect into custody. Are you sure you're good? They said you were almost choked out. He had me in a good spot. That was everything they could not to let him go. You need checked out. Probably it was hurt, huh? Your chest is all right. My chest is all right. I got asthma. That's giving me a problem right now. But did you step in and help? I did. I'm in here a lot. I see you. So, I really appreciate it again. Thank you very much. You guys stay safe. Thank you, sir. I appreciate you helping me. I'm sorry you went through that, dude. That is scary. But I don't know. Oh my god. I was getting a hold of your gun. The outcome could have been far more tragic. If the suspect had knocked the officer out and gotten hold of his gun, this could have ended in a fatality. The officer suffered from asphixxiation, red marks around his neck, abrasions, and swelling. The suspect was charged with felony assault, aggravated robbery, strangulation, and resisting arrest. He later took a plea deal and was sentenced to between 3 to 4.5 years in prison along with 1.5 to 3 years of probation. This next case, two officers tried to arrest a disruptive migrant, but were suddenly ambushed by a swarm of his friends. On January 27th, 2024, NYPD officers were called to Time Square, where a group of young Spanish migrants were causing a loud disturbance. The officers attempted to disperse the crowd, but things quickly escalated when they moved in to detain one of the individuals. What followed was pure chaos. Instead of backing down, the suspect's friends jumped in. A fierce street fight broke out. Stay [Music] away. And together the group managed to overwhelm and assault the officers. The suspects then fled the scene, leaving the officers injured and outnumbered, but their escape didn't last long. Thanks to surveillance footage and swift investigation, the attackers were later tracked down, arrested, and charged with assault. They were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 1 to 2 years. Next, meet a suspect who nearly drowned a police officer in a shocking beachside encounter. On July 4th, 2023, Florida police officers were patrolling the waters near a beach when beachgoers flagged them down. They reported that a man had assaulted his girlfriend, Pepper sprayed three others, and fled the scene on a boat. Officers quickly gave chase. When they spotted the suspect, he immediately jumped into the water. Hey, just come to the boat, man. We'll get it figured out. Just come here. Quit being stupid, man. Come on. Why don't you grab a piece of his clothes? Rip him up. Hey, Sean, come over here. didn't do anything. What? Dude, come on, man. Let's figure it out, dude. Come on. Get in the boat. We don't know the sign. Come on, dude. Let's figure it out. No. Figure it out. What? What? You're in the water in the middle of the Gulf, brother. It's not safe for you to be out here. Say what we need to figure out. We just need to figure out who you are, man. You're out here swimming by yourself in the middle of the Gulf. We want to hear your side, man. We got one side of it. We got your side. So, tell me this. There's something going on happening on the island, man. They're saying you did it. Like what? Like a fight or something, man. Is that true? No. Why? Punch me in the face and that you're a victim of So why are you here arresting me then? Because you're a victim of a crime out in the middle of the ocean, man. Clearly showing he had no intention of cooperating. His behavior only raised more suspicion. After all, if he were innocent, why run? The officers closed in using two police boats trying to cut off his escape. When they finally cornered him, one officer jumped into the water to bring him in. Tell him to stand down. Just relax, man. Tell him to stand down. We don't want you running into our boat, man. Tell him to stand. No, man. He's here for our safety and your safety. Same logo. We got one in the water. He was taken to jail and charged with operating a boat while impaired, battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, and attempted felony murder for nearly drowning the officer.
