I kind of jumped up in front of her. That's when he started swinging. He came at my wrist and then she was like Yeah, she too. I I There's nothing here, but I mean, it just glanced off me. I was like kind of like this way. She was here. He was swing looking at me. He was swinging at this girl. Okay. All right, so they all saw the same thing. Based on the evidence, officers proceeded to place him under arrest. Hey, I got to secure you right now, okay? Cuz it's my partner that's telling me I got to secure you, okay? This just means you're detained, you're not under arrest. It just means you're detained. Okay, but we're going to investigate it, all right? Zachary Richard Kahn was arrested and charged [music] with felony battery following a disturbance at Smiles Bar in Palm Coast, Florida. Deputies determined that Kahn, who appeared heavily intoxicated, had been harassing patrons before escalating the situation and striking a victim in the face. Authorities confirmed that Kahn had a prior battery conviction in Flagler County, which led to the charge being enhanced to a felony under Florida law. Witnesses, including the bartender and multiple patrons, provided consistent statements supporting the allegation and the incident was reportedly captured on surveillance footage.
