in today's video we're going to watch an officer do something unsafe and then get mad and then try to retaliate against an innocent bicyclist but it doesn't work because the bicyclist is not going to put up with the officer's [ __ ] and he also actually knows the law let's watch as you can see it was two lanes and the officer behind the cyclist could have went to the left lane and then went forward and be ahead of the bicyclist and all of the issue that's going to come in the future could have been avoided the officer could have done that but didn't so now let's watch how he treats the situation come on what are you doing Jesus Christ no no right there stay there listen you're first of all you're on camera front and back you're on camera do that to me again you're on camera as well good okay good 3 ft right so if there's traffic behind you you need to pull to the side that not what the law says okay that is not with the law they have to give you the three feet they have to yeah they have to go over there okay let's actually read Massachusetts Law chapter 90 section 14 says in passing a vulnerable user which bicyle are vulnerable users the operator of a motor vehicle shall pass at a safe distance of not less than 4T and at a reasonable and proper speed the law actually says 4T not three like the officer claimed number two the officer says so if there's traffic behind you you need to pull to the side so if there's traffic behind you you need to pull to the side implying that the bicyclist has the responsibility to give way for the driver but no the law says the operator of a motor vehicle shall pass at a safe distance meaning the officer is actually the one who violated the law and not the bicyclist let me give you an example of somebody violating this [Music] law come on what are you doing Jesus Christ no no wa there there but this is a one lane road so you got to give them room to pass you're riding close to the yellow line okay let's stop it right here and check the Massachusetts drivers manual page 94 you can use the full Lane anywhere anytime and on any Street even if there is a bike lane okay like I said your audio and video recorded okay legal what I'm do do you understand I I understand I'm being recorded yes okay and you have to allow room for vehicles to pass you okay they got that room over there this Lane is not canot be sh there was no room for us to pass you unless if we went into the oncoming Lane not no this is a double yellow which is legal to cross again the officer is wrong chapter 89 section 2 States if it is not possible to overtake a vulnerable user which includes bicyclist as defined in section one of chapter 990 or other vehicle at a safe distance in the same Lane the overtaking vehicles shall use all or part of an adjacent Lane essentially you can cross the double solid yellow line crossing the center line if necessary but let me just point out one thing the officer is implying that he or others cannot cross double solid yellow lines so that's what he's implying that's his understanding of the law but even with that understanding of the law he still crossed double solid yellow lines so let me just point that out no if you have to chapter chapter 89 section two you look it up you don't understand you have to yield no I no I do not I have the right of if I'm here first I got the right of way yes but you have to allow room to pass no no no no no only if the lane you have to allow room to pass only if the lane is wide enough for you also have to yield to blue lights and pull over and stop if you're being stopped which you can be arrested for okay do you understand that and you just wanted to keep riding it's an unlaw it's unlawful stop this office you were not allowing room to pass okay not only did the officer unsafely drive not only did he pull somebody over illegally without Reasonable Suspicion but he's also wrong about absolutely every legal assertions he makes my God what a terrible combination you have to wait you you have to wait everybody has to wait until it's safe to pass you got narrow Lanes two lanes you got oncoming traffic and you got bends I hold the lane until it is safe you had to wait that's why I had my hand out I wanted you to wait and hold off until it was safe to pass and it wasn't safe to pass with you on the yellow line you were all the way over you did not yield like you need to give us room you need to give motorists room okay it's not safe for you I don't want to see you get clipped by somebody what what how why would I get clipped by somebody you're riding over close to the yellow line and then somebody tries to pass you hey I remember somebody who did that let's watch it again come on what are you doing Jesus Christ I don't want them to at that point that's that's the problem I don't want them to that's why I was where I was okay and you didn't need to be over there I but but I but I can I I I can up any position in the lane was even a bike lane up there when we were behind you coming off Harrison Boulevard there's a bike lane on the right if there's a bike lane you're supposed to utilize it no I am not that is definitely not in the law you look that up it's a lane spe especially for you it is not the law I don't have to use it Massachusetts does not mandate bike lane usage look it up they do not mandate bike Lan they do not mandate bike Ling usage they don't mandate shoulder usage and they don't have an as far right as possible law like the other states if it is there why not just utilize it see see see now now lawful option or a second lawful option it's for that individual to decide which option is best for them which option they would like to use but when an officer pulls you over and tells you hey engage
