on April 29th 2022 Vernon County
Sheriff's Office received several
reports about a speeding vehicle in
Westby Wisconsin a gold SUV was
allegedly traveling 70 mph in a downtown
area and had been passing other vehicles
in both the right parking spaces and the
left oncoming Lane about 10 minutes
later the Valley police chief
observed the suspect vehicle traveling
106 mph in a 30 mph
Zone 46 call across he came into town
106 mph and I'm uh respawn at
County never mind he pulled over 900
block 900 block
Central upon approaching the vehicle he
noticed the driver holding their license
out the window the driver was identified
as 35-year-old Amanda MCC

she's arrested in the back what are you

off to jail she's going this guy he
can't drive she's got an instruction
only so if you could figure out if he's
got somebody that can come pick him up
or something from is she Under the
Influence or anything I don't know her

but she isn't talking like she's clearly
drunk or anything like that or did you

just uh I didn't have my duty belt on so
I thank this guy got in my squad and got
me my handcuffs cuz I had her on the
ground in in the street I was
like I was just going to reach over I
was like What if I have to arrest this
so I was just going to reach over to my
duty belt and she came in at 106 the
radar was just screaming whoa why was
she going so fast going to
school don't you always drive that fast
on the way to
school she wanted her ticket and let me
go um no thank you you try from a
um when I arrest somebody I'd check
whatever is on their person that's good

God Amanda was charged with felony
second degree recklessly endangering
safety misdemeanor counts of resisting
failing to stop and resisting
obstructing an officer she also received
citations totaling over
$700 ultimately Amanda was found guilty
