Amazing. This is awesome. Stop. I love it. This is so amazing. >> I got this hand. If you get that one. >> YEAH. >> GET OFF MY [ __ ] HAIR. WHAT THE [ __ ] IS WRONG WITH you people? >> On September 20th, 2024, officers from the Champagne, Illinois Police Department arrived at the home of Chong Yao Weldon. Weldon, who goes by Janice, was accused of throwing a cup of flavored water on a plant store owner whom she had repeatedly had confrontations with in the past. After speaking to witnesses and the store owner, Janice was placed under arrest for simple assault for the incident which had occurred on September 14th. After being placed in handcuffs, Janice refused to comply, accusing police of unlawful arrest and sarcastically mocking the situation while being restrained. At one point, resisting and kneing an officer in the groin. What's up, man? >> So, I'm safe. I'm fine. I wasn't sure they told you what was up. Do you need backstory? Do you want >> I know the back story. I talked to you on the phone for like an hour one day. >> Hello again. >> Yeah. So, um >> I have the name of the two people that were in the store cuz it was just me, two customers. I was in the back. I'm clearing off a table cuz I sold it and someone's picking it up later. >> Take a picture of those numbers. >> Yep. and they were like, they were like, "We don't want to go to court or anything, but we'll answer any questions or whatever." >> Um, she has a ban notice here. She has a court date. She has a court date on the 15th from um spray painting on my property. Officer Moes, B O G. >> Can I get a picture of that, too? >> Yeah. >> Um, Roes was really cool. And he followed up and he kind of got her to admit and she did this criminal property damage and he was like, "You got to coordinate." He came by and told me right after he done with her. >> So, >> I'm assuming he didn't. He just said she's got a charge on her and a court date. So, I'm assuming he did that. >> But, um I was basically right at that right at that entryway there when I saw her approaching me. And I just walked by her cuz I was like, I want to get her out of the store. She's mad at me. She's going to yell at me whenever she'll follow me. Took about two, three steps, got right to about where she is, and she just chucked this drink at me. I'm fine. Like I'm not like my neck hurts. But she I had them uh >> I can obviously see your Yeah. It spilled on you. Yeah. >> Yeah. And I had these two took a picture of me cuz And then I just got done mopping and there's like little red dots on plants done cleaning them off. You actually have uh some of my turntable too. All that's clean, but I'm just telling you all this cuz I'm kind of pissed. And it's minor as it is. If that's a salt or whatever, I I want to do whatever. That's >> I mean it's battery. She threw [ __ ] in the body. >> I went across the street cuz I literally recognized the smell. I get this hibiscus tea, hibiscus like and I was like that [ __ ] threw tea on me. Went across the street just to be like was Janice in here and did she buy behind a TV? And they said yes. So >> do you have any video in here at all? >> Just one at the door that might show not in here. >> Okay. Yeah. Okay. >> I might it might show her coming in. I don't know. >> She stopped for a while. >> Yeah, her her mo seems to be about every 35 days something. >> I think she probably came out of that place with the tea that she intended to drink and saw in my store and just like whatever her process is. >> Not emergency 119. Is that correct? >> She still had kind of same kind of issues as before. Blank stare odd behavior. >> I didn't catch much of it honestly. Like I was very surprised to see her standing in front of me and yeah, she had that vibe and she just goes, "You're a [ __ ] psycho." >> And that's what she said before she threw it or whatever. >> Hey, Paul. He's giving me some records. All right. So, what I can do is I can blow have this blown up on my iPad >> when I do find it and I can record it on this and then I can send that. >> Okay. Yeah. So, >> Me, too. I mean, and I've just been like so like not doing anything towards her, just like >> trying to do anything. >> I mean, I figured >> when Officer Bo said that she had a court date, he goes, "When I told her that, she seemed very unfased by it." He didn't use the words crazy. He just said she she's something you need. Like she was unfazed by me being here. >> He'll do an initial report for what happened today. I'm going to do with his detailing as we got this. >> That would be great. Yeah. I'm glad that I mean glad you're here. I'm glad you're here cuz you know cuz I kind of get >> I'm like I'll try to explain it all but that's a long story. >> Um you're the owner here. >> Yeah. >> As soon as I heard the name >> Yeah. I appreciate it. And it probably doesn't necessarily prove anything to know that she bought it over there, but I'm sure they would be like, "This person bought this." >> And they have cameras >> for sure. >> I mean, that's not her throwing anything out at you, but >> Okay. So, you're going to receive a text message link for you to click on and submit that video. >> Um, don't click on it until you have the video ready cuz it's kind of been only like one time. >> Yep. >> All right. I appreciate y'all very much. >> You have any more questions for me? >> No. >> All right. You're very helpful. Thank you. And thank you. Champagne Police. Hello. Are you Janice? I'm officer of Champagne Police. Um, so reason why I'm here. You remember that? >> Why are you guys here about that? >> I'm just here to talk to you about it. >> Okay. Because this is a normal matter that police typically handles. >> Mhm. This is >> liquids. >> Mhm. So, so you did pour the water or throw the water in that day. >> I'm trying footage. >> Okay. All right. Well, go ahead and step out here. >> Okay. Stop.
