On June 2nd, 2022, Normal, Illinois officers respond to a report of a DUI. Dispatch advised that there were two customers kicked out of a bar for being too intoxicated. They were located in a black Chevy Malibu in the parking lot. The suspects were identified as 32-year-old Colton Boyd and 26-year-old Kelsey Rich. Stop. Stop. Can you step out for me? She never leave your cocaine where the police can find it. Colton Boyd was charged with aggravated DUI, a class two felony, his third DUI charge in 2022. He was also charged with possession of a controlled and resisting. Both charges were eventually dismissed. Colton was found guilty of aggravated DUI and sentenced to a 30-month probation and 170 days in jail. Kelsey Rich was charged with aggravated battery, possession of a controlled substance and resisting. She was eventually found guilty of possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to a 24-month probation and 30 hours of community service.
