But what Maya certainly didn't expect was the brutal humbling she'd received. >> Let's go. Then you can come back and do whatever you have to do. >> So, what am I going down here for? >> They're going to tell you. Thank you. >> What am I going down here for? >> Let's go. This was a Gen Z Karen in training and she wasn't about to make this easy. >> Hello. Okay. Soon as I get to school with a man around here go off. I'm like I'm going to take my picture. He like no you're not doing that. So I get in the room to take my picture. He called the police everybody cuz I'm trying to go in the office take my picture. Y'all just stay here. >> You're not taking your pictures. Well, >> we told you that. >> Well, I'm not taking my pictures back here. >> Do you want to search her back? She smells >> Yeah. Tell my mom to talk to one of y'all. >> Yeah, sure. >> Okay, let's do that. Hello. >> We can't hear her. What? >> She said she want to talk to y'all. >> Okay, we'll call her from the office cuz I can't hear her at all. >> How can you not hear her? I can hear her. >> So, if she wants >> So, you don't hear her say, "Hi, sir. How are you?" I hear her perfectly fine. >> Turn up the volume. >> Stop lying. >> Turn up the volume. >> Talk. You hear her? >> Hello, Mom. >> You need to relax and you need >> She said, "Hello. How are you?" >> You need to get out of my face. You need to back up. I'm going to give you one other option and then I'm going to have to be forced to do something because you want to get in my face. >> Do you not have a woman talking to you or no? >> I will call her from an office phone. >> For what? She on the phone already. That's okay. I will call her from an office phone. I'll let her know what's going on. >> All right. What's going on? Let me know. >> We'll talk to her in there like, >> "Okay, tell me what's going on. Why am I here?" >> Go in that office and we will tell you what's going on. >> No, y'all just want to mess with me every day. Y'all just >> She figured she could mouth off to the cops without consequences. But attitudes like that always have an expiration date, and hers was coming up fast, especially after she did this. Don't touch him. This is mine. >> Oh, she's not going to Snapchat, is she? Okay, now you're done. Now you're done. Don't do that, >> bro. Get off of me. Okay. Get off of me. >> Okay. >> No, you got off me, bro. Get off of me. >> Get Get your hands off. >> Get off of me. You get your hands off of me, bro. >> Yes, >> bro. Get off of me. You are done. >> Bro, cut him down. >> Stop. >> I'm not This is Get the off of me, bro. >> You pushing me. I'm not resisting. I'm sitting on the bed. >> You're making it work, >> bro. If I was resisting, I would be your right now. Get the off of me. >> Get off the table now. I'm done with you. >> You just put me on the table. >> I'm done with you, >> bro. Get off of me. But I don't care. Call. You got to call. I was on the floor of my mama. You send it back. That's where I got money. You know, >> bro, do that. >> Fighting. You need to calm down. >> I am calm. >> I was calm. >> From the very start. She'd been anything but calm. While the officers were the ones showing restraint, but patience doesn't last forever, and theirs was just about gone. >> Be done. Be done. I don't care. You put your hands on me. What's up? You want to put your hands on me now? You want to press charges, bro? Get off of me. Okay. Be done. I don't care. >> Put your hands Come out behind my back. >> Hey, don't >> Right. Let it happen. Let me sit down, bro. Stop. >> Just turn around. >> Damn. >> Just turn office right now. >> You got to call, bro. Where's my phone? Where my mom? What's your issue? Can I come? >> Give me your hands. >> Can I get >> Give me your hands. >> Here we go. >> There we go. Thank you. >> Can you get off of me? Quick. You're not following directions. me, bro. Let me breathe. Let me, bro. Get the off of me. I don't give a, bro. Tase me. Get the off of me. I know. >> Who the do you think you is? >> Get off of me, bro. Let me breathe. >> She's going to have >> Okay, let me breathe real quick. Get the off of me. >> No. Listen, I'm trying to help you, but you don't want to do it. You put your hands on administrator. I'm done. And now you're going to be taken into custody. >> So, all you got to do is relax. You got your much. >> So, you can either do this again or I'm not moving. >> All right. Well, I'm coming home. You're not going to call your mom. Why? >> Cuz you're done. >> Okay. I'll call my mama. >> Stop. >> Bro, Coco, you're not even stronger than me. You >> not. >> You're not stronger than me. Obviously, >> destroy. >> You destroy all the stuff. Get the off me. >> You're not following directions. >> Okay, let's go. Sit down. >> Wow. >> Wow. >> Come on. 52. I have one in custody. You want to take a seat. >> I'm straight. I'm sitting down. >> Take a seat now. I'm not asking. >> Coco. But >> no, take a seat and stop resisting. >> Chill out. >> Hey, hold on. Hey, just sit down. >> Just sit. Relax. >> I can't. >> I don't know. >> Yo, it's shaking here. Once they finally got her to sit down, officers checked her bag and found that took her from attitude problem to attitude problem with evidence. But instead of getting worried, she doubled down. >> Okay, let's go to my office, please. Man, you can do >> Okay, I can walk. >> All right, let's go. >> Well, too bad. I'm escorting I'm escorting out. >> Yeah, he better move cuz he know how to >> Hey. Okay, let me go. >> I can walk. >> Well, you need to relax. Stop resisting. >> I don't need none of y'all to say cheese. >> I can walk. Do move, bro. >> You can't fit through the same goddamn >> move. Damn. Okay, move down, >> girl. Shut up. >> Sit up. We're going to go to this seat. I want her hand handcuffs behind her back. Clearly, she was resisting fights. I could get them on her back, but I had to like get them on her front. >> You don't have to. I'm not going away. >> No, I don't care. But you're fighting. >> I'm not. >> Okay, you are. for his safety. >> You act like child. We're going to shoot you like child. Okay. >> Okay. Do that. >> I will. >> All right. Do that. >> Put my arm back, girl. >> You're going to catch a resisting charge. If you already have it, obviously resisted. That's why I call >> relax. >> I am relaxed. >> Not resisting. >> Relax. >> Get off my bed, girl. >> All right. She's double locked. >> All right. Let's go and sit down. Sit down. >> Well, you're about to get searched, so don't shove me. >> Okay. We're going to get out of business. Who the caught this? Like take her out of here. She want to search all over my neck and What's up? What are you searching? I have to call someone. It's a pot. Don't care. >> So, you're now in custody obviously for battering on a schoolboard employee, battering on a law enforcement, also resisting with violence, and obviously the possession of marijuana and everything else that you have. So, >> while most kids her age are waiting for college acceptance letters, Michaela will be waiting for court dates on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting with violence, disturbance, and possession of nicotine. And no, wait until you meet this expelled student. >> I can't go to school because this I can't come here because of >> Get him. Get him. Back in 2023, an officer responded to a trespass call at a local college. From the moment the officer spoke to him, it was clear this wasn't going to be easy. >> Hey man, settle down. Settle down. >> When do you go in there? Lock the door. Sir, I need you to go in. >> I need you to come outside. >> I need you to come outside. >> I'll get outside. >> Okay, let's go. You can't act like that here, man. >> Would you do your hand? >> It doesn't matter. That does. >> It doesn't matter. >> What are you so upset about? >> I can't go to school because of this. I can't come here because you mother. >> You mother. >> Come on, man. Come on, man. Settle out, bro. Come on, man. >> Hey, >> let go me. >> Settle down. >> Let go me. >> Why should I? The situation was already cooked, but enough turned out to be the final ingredient in Desan's meltdown stew. >> Let dude stop. Stop. >> Let go of me. Let go. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. >> Let go. >> Stop. Get my radio >> right here. What you need me to do? >> Get off me. It's physical. Okay. 44x. >> Nope. We're going to stay right here. >> Okay. >> We transplant you back. Okay. All right. All right. [Music] >> Got him. Secure County. Why'd you do that, man? >> I needed upset, man. >> I needed to go to school. You guys are stopping me from my education. You guys are nearly stopping me from my education. >> No, bro. You stopped you from getting your education. You stopped you. Not them. It's you. >> Oh, >> look at you, man. You think this is the way to conduct business on school grounds? >> Trespass again? >> Oh, you absolutely are trespassing. You're going to jail. >> What? >> You're going to jail, bro. You don't fight the cops. What's wrong with you, >> sir? No. No. Please. I didn't bite you. >> You You absolutely resist me with violence. You're going to jail, >> sir. No. >> Why should I not put you in here? >> Sir, sir. Please. I can't. Please. I didn't whistle. I didn't try to bite you. If I was trying to fight you, I fought you before. I would have punished you, sir. Please. >> I realize you didn't strike me, but you resisted me with violence. >> Sorry. That wasn't being arrested. Please. Please. I've got people. >> Sure. He didn't strike the cop. But he also didn't handle things calmly. And by the time anyone could explain that to him, it was already too late. >> Apparently, you weren't supposed to come back. >> I was supposed to come back. So, I was supposed to come back. >> Okay. Um, he did not strike me. I'm not going to charge him with battery leo. He did not hit me, but he did resist me. So, I'm going to charge him for uh resisting. Bro, >> I'm not mad at you. This is what we do. Okay. >> Alls I'm asking is that you listen to me, okay? I understand you did not physically strike me. And I know you could have, but you didn't. You didn't even try. So, I'm not going to charge you with battery on law enforcement. >> Why are you doing this to me? >> You're looking at it all along, brother. I'm not doing anything to you. You've created this whole thing. I know you're pissed. All you had to do was leave. That's all. Nobody was forcing you to do anything other than asking you to leave. >> Sir, I don't want to go to jail. >> Bro, I wouldn't want to go to jail either, but I don't act that way. >> Sir, I'll walk away from there. >> You've pushed it past that. Okay, >> I'm going to jail again. >> You have absolutely got anger issues that you need to deal with. >> See, he's I'm not doing anything. You're the one that caused this, not me. Do you understand what I'm saying? You're not hearing me. You don't want to listen to anything that I'm saying. Okay. So, you're acknowledging me. Do you understand what I'm telling you? I'm not here to be an >> What's that? >> Is that a felony? >> Resisting with Yeah. >> Yes, sir. >> I can't no felony charges no more. >> What is >> you resisting me with violence, man? Have a seat. >> Let's put him in the car. >> Please open. >> Sir, what is the charge? Is that felony? >> What do you got back there? with violence. Yes, >> sir. No, please. It's a felony. >> Please. No, sir. No more. I just got off probation. >> You're going back on, I guess. You're the one that caused this. Okay. >> Okay. Okay. No. No. Okay. Okay. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. >> We're done. Let's go. >> That is not going to happen. >> Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. >> Nonsense. >> All right. Stand up. Stand up. Stand up. Turn around. >> You're not going to kick at my >> No, I'm not going to kick at you. We're good. We're good. We're good. >> All right. >> Can I get some water, please? Get in the truck. >> Get in the truck. Get in the truck. >> Desawn thought playing tough would win him a seat back in class. Instead, he got one in the back of a squad car with a bonus charge for resisting. And the irony, school bullies like this usually don't have a backup plan when things get real. Court dates, lawsuits, medical bills, it all hits fast. That's where Morgan and Morgan comes in. They're America's largest injury law firm for a reason. With over a thousand attorneys and offices across all 50 states, they've spent 35 years fighting for the people, not big corporations. They've recovered more than 25 billion. That's right, with a B for over 500,000 clients. The best part is they don't charge a fee unless they win. When you work with them, it's like bringing a legal army to a knife fight. One that knows the system inside and out. Whether it's a car accident, a slip, or something more serious. If you're injured because of someone else's negligence, you deserve more than an apology. You deserve a real team behind you. If you're ever injured, you can check out Morgan and Morgan. Their fee is free unless they win. You can start your claim right now by clicking the link in the description or scanning the QR code on the screen. Now, let's get back to these ridiculous school bullies. Here came a sibling duo ready to turn a school bus into their personal kingdom. On May 8th, 2024, officers were called to a local high school to deal with two disruptive sisters who started a huge fight on the school bus. What they didn't know yet was just how oblivious these two were about the whole thing. >> What happened? I told her all everything was going good cuz you know I I have I don't have it. So, um I'm telling everybody not to kill me. She she she came in real like she got burned up just like she came in but I didn't talk conversation talking about are you good or you're doing too much and that's when I got like that kind of like got immediate like who who are you talking to? One of them acted like she owned the bus directing people where to sit and where not to and somehow thought she could talk to cops the same way. >> It's still tight. You see my arm is turning red. Yeah. >> Then stop moving around. Stop moving around. >> But I can't look at this. This thing can't get in my skin. >> Well, stop moving around. Good cuz you're moving around. All right. This is going to be quick. Okay. Quick and painless. All right. You know what your Miranda warnings are? >> All right. I'm going to read those to you and then if you want to talk to me, talk to me. If you don't want to talk to me, then you don't have to. >> Cool. >> We still going to jail. So, >> doesn't change anything. All right. >> You don't know by heart. >> I got to read it from a card. I do know by heart, but I still got to read it by heart. You have the right to remain silent. Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you? Having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to me? >> I don't care because I'm still going to jail either way. >> Yes or no? >> Yeah, sure. >> All right. No, my my my history teacher told me to say no. >> Okay, that's cool. >> Well, yeah. I'm just saying yeah, but my history teacher told me to say no. >> Yes or no? >> Yeah, my teacher told me to say no. >> Okay, what do you decide? You're an adult. You make the decision. >> Yeah. Well, he said he get stopped over in the car to say no, but I'm not getting stopped over. Latrice seemed to be having the time of her life. But her favorite part wasn't just the fight. It was rehashing every detail to the officers. >> What happened on the I already I know what happened. >> So why are you asking me? >> I want to know your side. >> Um I just I was just upfront about watching movie on my phone like I usually do. I usually stare at the window a little bit and then I get on my phone watch movie. Yeah. But then my sister started arguing with him. But my sister kept saying that she wanted to like stand with her and it's kind of getting annoying to me too. So I was just like she going to say this and then to me I was like oh my god how she say this like oh no. So then I looked back there and she was starting to say it louder and then the girl saw her was like oh my god that's so aggravating. She was like are you she was like are you good? You want to keep saying that? And then my sister I already know she's going to get upset about it but a start fighting. I think it's actually funny but I was in my head I had it in my head. They're going to fight. They're going to fight. And then I looked behind me and they were fighting. And then I got up and then I started to help my sister. Yeah, I did. Like my intentions were not to get into the fight, but then at the same time I was just like I don't know. It was kind of hot. You know, I didn't know what to do. Honestly, my real intentions was not to fight, but then it happened. >> The officer was just trying to keep it together. Their complete lack of awareness was making the situation 10 times worse. And it still wasn't over. >> You want to fix what you telling us? Cuz there's video. >> I know there's video, but I'm trying to tell you when they started fighting. I'm trying to stop it, but at the same time, that's my sister. So, I got to help. I'm not going to let my sister get I'm not going to let them >> Your sister was not getting whooped. >> Well, I'm not going to let them. I'm not going to let my sister fight by yourself. >> We went through this last year already. >> You acting like I started the fight. >> You had no business. >> You jumped in. >> You too. You coming at me. Yeah. But then what about coming at us or whatever? >> She's got quizzes. But >> on your senior year, >> y'all be acting like she's so different. Okay. Just But you coming at y'all coming at us because you feel some type of way. Okay. It doesn't matter. >> No, I'm not. I don't feel some type of way. I explaining to you the consequences for you. You No, because I saw how what happened on the bus. I'm disappointed. >> You know, >> that is another person. >> If it was just your sister and that girl fighting, I would be like, you know what? All right. But the fact that you got into that fight, your sister was not getting whooped. Your sister, your sister, but there was no You said You said I got in it. I got in it to separate my sister. You did absolutely zero separating. >> I was trying to separate. >> You made No, no, no, no, no. You made zero attempt. >> You went over and pushed her again when she >> She had my hair in my hand. >> You made She was holding on to my hair and then I left. I grabbed her hand and pushed her away from me. Yes, I did. >> With zero accountability in sight, the officers called their mom. And let's just say it instantly became clear where they learned it. >> So, let me tell you what happened cuz I I can give you more. I know she said it's Lamese, but on all of our paperwork, it's Lenise. So, Lenise was upset. She was in a bad mood telling people, "Don't sit next to me. Get the f away from me. Don't effing sit here." Some girl took offense to that and just said, "Hey, like calm down. Like, you don't have to be rude." I mean, he told her, "Shut the f up." Girl's like, "Dude, just chill." Lenise gets up and gets in the girl's face. The girl stands up. Lenise just starts wailing on her. Latrice at the front of the bus comes to the back and just starts wailing on the girl, too. And they start both going at it with this girl. The girl is on the ground. Lenise is on top of her just going in. And Latrice is at the girl's head going in. Starts kicking her and everything. Latrice. Latrice can't fight. Latrice is the boy. Just this. So, I'm trying to figure out what was this cuz when I dropped it off, she wasn't in a bad mood. So I don't know what could have been. So this is not the same person. She told me somebody a boy and a girl that could ride a school bus. The boy pushed her. This was last week. The boy pushed her and the guys who you know ride a bus with her was like, "Hey, don't don't just don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it." So she said she let it go. I don't know if this is the same sister. Do she have a brother? Cuz if that's not the same person, I don't know. Lame was good this morning. So I don't know what could have escalated. >> She got to the bus stop. A little boy told her something his mom said about her. I This is my notes in my >> So that's the little boy that they pushed last week. >> Turns out the apple didn't just fall close to the tree. It built a vacation home under it. Even with video evidence. Their mom had no defense. Both sisters were arrested, which somehow felt like the highlight of their day. >> Don't run. >> Why would I? >> You going to get ted. >> I'm out of here. If I run, I'm out. >> You going to be out. >> She going to be right. >> How far you going to make it before you fall? Right. Far. Real far. You won't see me on the regular. I run a lot. >> You run a lot? >> Yep. I I run outside from my mama when she try to She trying to chase me in the hospital with sticks and stuff. I run from dogs. I'm going tell you, I know how to run. >> The duo was charged with battery and disturbance. But hey, at least they got matching charges. Nothing says sibling bonding like a joint trip to jail. From bad apples to the whole orchard. Here's what happens when your reputation reaches the cops before you do. I cannot go. Please just get that three head. Please just get that three head. Sh. Get that three head. I don't want to go. [Applause] >> On September 13th, 2023, officers responded to a disturbance call at a local school. Two kids had gotten into a fight, but one of them took things to a new level, threatening and even fighting local staff. What sounded like another school scuffle was about to be a whole lot worse. >> But what happened today with the fight? >> I'm sorry. >> Um, we were sitting at lunch. Everything was fine. And um, he started throwing food. throwing food like when she's over in the building and stuff. >> Who started throwing food? >> Alex. >> So, >> Alex is the girl, >> the boy. I don't know. It's confusing. >> Transgender. >> Yeah, there we go. That's simple. So, you know, like coming down from the main building, it goes towards the cafeteria. We were all sitting right there at the table and the table's over the wall or whatever the hell it is. He went and started buying oranges. So, I guess they thought we threw the oranges at them. So, they went and chomped them back at us and almost hit me and my friend. So, we went and told them something like we we weren't trying to hit you. Like we weren't even throwing crap at you. So like sorry. Like it was him who did it and they said okay. >> Your friend was throwing stuff at >> No, Alex was. Me and Alex were friends until all this happened today. >> So I went into the bathroom and I told him, "Quit throwing crap at them because they're thinking it's us doing." I walk away and all I hear is you. And I was like, "All right." Then I was like, "I'll let it slide." Like walked away. He came outside like to like look for me like looking around and that's when he turned around and that's when I told him. I was like, and then that's when he started telling me like I'm a and all that. And then I told him, I was like, you talk all this stuff. I was like, you do all this. I was like, and you don't do nothing. I was like, stop. I was like, it's embarrassing. >> The other girl's account had already set the bar low for Alex. And just when they thought that was the extent of it, the girl dropped another surprise. >> And like he kind of started like trying to make himself look bigger, I guess, or whatever. Like, and then that's when like I pushed him back. He went clogged me in the face like cuz all right here they said it was red. I don't know if it's still red or not and he went clogged me in the face. He grabbed a hold of my hair like he kind of had me like he had me by my hip like he was holding me by my hip and like at my hair like he has like his arm under me I guess or whatever and like he had me by the back of my hair like by my ponytail and then he had me he scratching me in the the eye and I was hitting him like trying to like push him off and hit him and then that's when um the security guard that's when he came and then that's when he grabbed me and that's when I was asking him to let me go. I wasn't going to hit him or nothing. I was just kind of like I don't like being held down. Like not held down, but I don't like being held like that. Like so. >> You'd think things would calm down once staff stepped in. But that's when the real show began. >> So what happened exactly? >> Uh we just finished. I was coming down the hill. I saw a group of students hanging out right up by the west side. Then I saw Mia and another student. They were confrontational verbal. And right in the moment they both engaged. When I was separate them, separate me and the other one. Mia turned around and hit a couple on me. >> So they were both were >> they were both they were engaging. I separated and then Lonnie came separate the other one and I got me on the side and then Mia just turned around. >> She turned around hit you punch you. >> Mhm. >> Where? >> But she just she hit you though. >> Yeah. And then I cut it out and then she got confrontational >> and then I restrain her. >> She got confrontational with you or the other person. >> I'm sorry. >> With everybody. >> You got confrontational with everybody? >> With everybody there. >> I had to restrain her again. And she started kicking me like in the back. Yeah. Lenny had to restrain her her leg cuz she was just out of control. >> She just did a lot of prevention from everybody was off and said next time something's going to happen and she just going down the line. Okay. >> When it came time to confront her, Alex didn't disappoint unless you count her complete disregard for basic rules. >> All right. Mia or Alex, I'm sorry. Go ahead and stand up. >> You make me anxiety. I don't need your freaking officers in here. >> We have to do We're just working. >> No, I don't need you guys in here. You're making me get anxiety. >> We can't. >> I'm scared of y'all. I know. I don't freaking need y'all in here. Y'all making me get anxiety. >> We can't leave. >> And still, I don't care. I'm not I'm not I'm being completely honest and I'll be straight up with you. Okay. >> Let's not get into a debate about rights because you kind of forfeit that argument when you're busy smacking classmates and staff. But we'll let the officers explain that to her. >> So, I want to ask you one more time. Okay. >> I'm not going with y'all. Right. Have my mom take me and not freaking do. >> That's not how it works. Mom. >> Yes. Y not taking me. I don't need to go with y'all. Can y'all stop being let me go with y'all? Y'all didn't understand. I'm not >> the youngest that we can detain a person. >> You're not detaining me. Listen, >> that's not what it is. Nope. >> Is 11 years old. Okay, >> I don't care. Y'all not detaining me. Y'all did not do that last year. And I don't give a You're not doing that to me. >> We We did last year. >> No, you did not do it to me yesterday or last year. You did not. You did not do it. And I know y'all did not do it. Don't even lie. >> New policy started in December of last year. >> Yeah. >> No, y'all didn't. I knew it. No, y'all didn't. No, y'all didn't. Cuz if I knew, y'all would have been with them already. And I didn't. I wasn't my mom cuz my mom got me. >> That's what taking things for granted looks like. If she'd have dropped the entitlement early, the cops wouldn't have had to give her a crash course in consequences. >> Oh my god. I don't want to go to the police. I'm not welcome there. That's not for me. It's It's going to be with me and no one else. Listen, >> I cannot go. It's the police. Just get that three head, please. Just get that three head. Get that three head. I don't want to go. >> You refuse to go with us, then we're going to have to charge you with another crime, which >> y'all cannot. That's not a crime. That's not a crime. Straight up. No, it's not a crime. >> I'm resisting. >> It's not a crime. No, it ain't. No, it ain't. No, it ain't. No, it ain't. >> Okay, so it get one last chance and then we're going to have you. So, can you please take off your backpack? >> No, I'm not taking my N. >> No. This is my Stop. >> No. Stop. Don't touch me. Please. No. No. Please. I'm sorry. No. No. No. Get off of me. Please. Get off. Take it off. Please. No. Stop. >> Hey, stop. You're going to hurt yourself. Please. We don't want We don't want you to hurt yourself. Come on. You'reing you're [Applause] wait a different way. What the a different way. Put me a different way. Listen. >> Listen. Listen. Put me in there. >> Put me in there. >> No. Please stop. >> Stop. >> Get in the car so we can try. Give me that phone. Give me my phone. >> We can have it whenever you get >> Give me my phone. >> After enough drama to fill an assembly hall, Alex was taken to the station and charged with battery, public affiling, and obstruction. If Alex treated school like a wrestling ring, this next kid treated Jim like a hostage negotiation. >> Why did you not understanding that? When I'm feeling myself, I'm going to come down. >> You got 5 seconds to get your head. [Applause] On September 20th, 2022, police were called to a local high school after a heated argument between a teacher and a student. What the responding officer didn't know was how fast this would spiral. >> What happened? We're playing kickball game. He wouldn't play. So, as soon as the basketball's coming out, he comes out here and wants to play basketball. So, I come up to my wife's heart. He said, "You're a sick." He said, "Don't don't preach me like that." I said, "I'm a teacher. I can approach you how I want to." I I didn't do this technically. I just asked him a question. And then I try to go over here. He goes over here and I try to walk him outside to get him oneonone. And he got the basketball and he comes to me and I grab the basketball and then he sort of bucked on me and comes at me into my face and he won't talk to me. And he says, "You're a racist mother. I'll kick your ass." Whoa. >> Seeing how angry the teacher was, the officers spoke to him separately to keep things calm. But the second he started talking to the boy, it was clear who the real problem was. >> They can't hire another teacher, a teacher teacher in that class. So with that being said, my educator, my guy putting me in here, not knowing that I told him I wasn't feeling good. Came to him about that. That was already done. Done known about. Yeah. Done on about. He left alone. Okay, cool. We cool. I'm up there in the bleacher sitting down. Finally, when I come come down from off the bleachers, he want to come at me aggressively. What happened to you? You supposed to be in the bleachers. Like, that's not how you talk to me. You can be a good citizen, but be aware when you talking to me, it's respect. After that, it wasn't it wasn't nothing else to discuss. I walked off and continued on what I was doing. I'm not going to talk to a good old citizen. You could have your little you know, you feel me? That's not going to resolve nothing. If I'm not doing nothing, if I'm minding my own business, don't come in no type of way. And how you bumped up against me like that. You're talking >> how you bumped up against me like that. >> As a teacher, you didn't play organizing that was the end of the space. I'm minding my own business. I walked out our kickball game. We were playing to get >> That's not the point. It's not about the kickball game. It's about me not feeling myself. How many times I got to say that? >> I didn't say a word to you about not playing. Did I say anything? I was like, "That's fine." When you had free time in basketball, that's when you did. And I asked you questioning. So, why are you feeling better now than when you wasn't around? >> It doesn't matter. I'm up there on the bleachers. And I'm just not I'm telling you, I was feeling myself. It's the reason why I came down from off the bleachers. It don't matter about no basketball. It don't matter about no kickball. It ain't It don't got nothing to do with none of that. I said I was feeling sick. >> If I'm feeling sick, I'm going to be up there on the bleachers. >> Where did you not understanding that? When I'm feeling myself, I'm going to come down. Why did you not understanding this? >> Lower your voice. Lower your voice. >> All this drama over a kickball game. The kid clearly thought the world revolved around him. And when the officer tried to talk, he made the worst possible move. >> If you want if you want to talk to anybody, I I got a lawyer, anything, but you not going to come in no type of way and disrespect me. >> Hold on. Hold on, bro. Get your hands off me. Hold on. Get your hands off of me. >> I said hold on. >> You got 5 seconds to get your hands going. >> You got 5 seconds to get your hands off. You ain't going to do anything. You going to get your ass off off of me and get out my presence like you got some sense. Be a good citizen like you is. >> I bet you be a good citizen, not raise your voice. >> Put that badge on your >> and causing a big scene inside the gym. >> No, I ain't really pushing for disorderly conduct. >> I ain't pushing nothing. >> Even Mr. Perry want you to get you stuff because he want you to meet him over there. So, let's go. >> I don't care about what Mr. Perry said. I'm in this class. I just got in this class. I don't give a what you say to me, dog. >> Let's go. >> Out my face. >> Come on, man. You going to take a ride to jail, dude. I ain't with you. >> Who the is you talking about? Ride to jail. I ain't do to begin with. >> It's called disorderly conduct. >> Early conduct. You ain't >> Let's go. >> He pushed every last button, acting like he could say and do whatever he wanted, not realizing that his attitude was about to meet very real consequences. I'm giving you a lawful order to get up and come on now. All right, man. Take the backpack off. We going to go to jail. Don't resist me, dude. What is resistance [Applause] out of here? >> Why is y'all still only this? Why my parents didn't call? Put my dad on. Put my daddy on the phone. >> Take the bag off. >> Take the bag off. >> Why are you trying to get me to retain my stuff off of me? This is my This is my property. This is me. >> I'm not trying to steal it. I don't care. You just >> detain you and handcuff. >> You just threw me around >> because you didn't listen. I told you to get up. >> I didn't have no right to be treated the way you treated me. Why is you still holding me? I've been told you to give me a second. Do you not understand that? When I say give me a second, that means move. Remove yourself away from me. Remove yourself away from me. >> Every time I give you a second, you don't take yourself away from me. >> Take it off. Take the bag off. You have >> no right to be slown. Take the bag off. >> Take the bag off. You refusing a lawful order for me to be able to put you in handcuffs. Take the bag off. >> After enough back and forth, the officer used pepper spray. Maybe not the perfect choice. And it still didn't work. Not until dad showed up. I know it sucks. If you'd have just listened, this couldn't have this wouldn't have happened. That's all. That's all you had to do was listen. You still going to resist? Do you want it some more, dude? Cuz I That's fine. I got a whole can. Take the bag off, man. That's all you have to do. Take the bag off. >> You harassing me. >> I told you to take the bag off. >> I got your cover. >> That's fine, dude. But he goes to walk away. And one of my things that I try to do here with all the kids is try to pull them to the side after they've had a confrontation with a teacher and go, "Let me holler at you real quick. Let me talk to you. Try to squash whatever this is that you got going on." So as he walks away, I put my hand on the shoulder. Hey man, come here. Let me talk to you for a second. He squares off with me and says, "You got 5 seconds to get your hands off me." I was like, "Really?" Like at that point now I'm feeling threatened cuz you're squaring up on me. Why are you doing this? As he's walking away, I was like, "Look, dude, come here. I need to talk to you. You're causing a huge scene. You're yelling. You're causing disruption in the entire gym." He goes sit down with bleachers. I said, "Look, even Mr. Perry wants you to get your stuff. You at least got to go to in school suspension or whatever he wants to do with you for now. I said, but get your stuff. Come on, get up. Go. He keeps no yelling, causing interruption. I was like, h >> with dad in the picture, the kid finally calmed down, but not before earning a trip to the station for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
