Hey, >> I never touched you. >> You hit me and I hit you back. Just ignore me. I don't get >> back on March 5th, 2023, a woman frantically called 911 demanding police remove her boyfriend from her apartment after a heated physical altercation. Here's what happened when the officer arrived. >> Hello, Lou. What's going on? >> Are you all right? >> Yeah. Did you get popped in the mouth? >> No. >> No. I guess did you call us? >> Said squash somebody. That's it. >> Okay. >> Hey guys, please fire it. >> I didn't touch. >> That's my crib. What you mean? OKAY. >> NOBODY LIKE COME ON. >> I don't care. Hit me. >> Nobody said you did. SAY YOU CALL ME. You like you said you hit me. >> I don't get no problem [laughter] with you doing that away from me. >> Okay, man. Do you want to tell me what's going on? You called us. >> I want you to escort him. That's it. >> Okay. Well, what's going on? >> I don't got to tell y'all what's going on. >> Can you tell me what happened to you? >> His friend, >> ma'am, you called me to help you. I want to help you out, >> bro. I can tell your name. >> Janiah. >> Janiah. Okay. So, so what? In order for me to even do anything, K need to tell me what's going on. >> A little argument. I was trying to get my house key. That's he give him my key. >> Who's he to you? >> Him? >> That's his friend. He trying to get him. That's it. >> No. No. The gentleman with dude with the no t-shirt. >> The officer barely makes it through the door before complete chaos erupts. And just as he's trying to calm Janiah down, her now ex-boyfriend steps outside. That's when the officer realizes this was about to get ugly. Well, now you want >> I never touched you. >> You hit me and I hit you back. >> Just ignore him. I didn't touch you. >> You started talking to me CUZ I JUST GAVE HIM MY KEY AND I WAS GOING TO LEAVE. >> NO [ __ ] I'LL TAKE >> THAT'S NOT YOUR [ __ ] >> Don't Adam. >> Get him OUT OF MY CRIB. >> I'M WORKING OUT. YOU GOT TO TELL US WHAT'S GOING ON. ALL RIGHT. I GOT TO TELL you there. >> You live there? WHO LIVES THERE? >> OH, I ASKED HIM to give me the key so I could walk down there. I WAS GOING TO COME BACK WHEN HE LEFT. >> That's my daughter. >> Hey, go ahead and slap. Why I'm not even going. >> You want to go so bad? >> Did you see me go DOWN THERE AND TALK? >> I'M REALLY [screaming] I [laughter] >> NOW YOU GET MY PAY FOR IT. I SAY THE MONEY. SHE SENT ME NOTHING. I got to bow down to you. You >> just walk. Ignore him. Ignore him. He's being the bear person. JUST SPEAK WITH ME. OKAY. BRO, HE PUSHED ME DOWN. I DIDN'T TOUCH HIM AT ALL. >> OKAY, JUST >> HEY, MA'AM. Do you want to talk about what's going on? >> Bro, I just want to try to >> Hey. Hey, stay over here. Stay over here or else you're going to go IN CUSS. OKAY, MA'AM. >> I CAN'T stay over here. >> With Janiah dodging questions like she's allergic to accountability, the officer has no choice but to call for backup. And as more units roll in, her sense of entitlement really starts to show. >> I got a body camo. What's going on today, >> bro? He mad cuz he cuz I told him to give him my house key. >> Who Who is he? Ma'am, who who is he to you? >> That's my boyfriend. >> Okay. >> It was my boyfriend. My boyfriend. >> Did anything physical happen? >> No. I asked him for my key. That's it. >> Okay. >> So, he wanted to give me my key. Get to the yelling. Should I call y'all to export him on my crib? Give me my key, bro. >> Hold on. Hey, I need to talk to you so we can figure out if we can do that. Okay. We'll probably take one more. >> Y don't need one more. Like, I'm telling you, >> ma'am. Stop walking around or else you're going to get put in handcuffs. Okay. You're not listening. How long has he lived here for? >> YOU PUSHED ME DOWN THE STAIRS. I TOLD YOU NOTHING CUZ YOU ALWAYS FIGHTING ME. >> MA'AM, take a seat on the fire hydrant. Okay, >> ma'am. >> Bro, SINCE YOU GIVE ME [ __ ] I GOT TO BOW DOWN to you, >> ma'am. >> I don't bow down to you. [ __ ] Come on, bro. >> Okay. Put your hands behind YOUR BACK, >> BRO. BRO, STOP TALKING TO ME. >> Then chill out with you. You want to GO IN HANDCUFFS? BEAT YOUR ASS, TOO. GET THE [ __ ] AWAY FROM ME. >> You can try that, but that wouldn't work out. >> Chill out. >> Stop touching me. >> You want to go in handcuffs? >> Girl with you. >> Chill out. >> NO, STOP TOUCHING ME. I'M ALREADY MAD, BRO. I don't care if you're mad cuz I obviously can't help. >> I can't do anything for you if you don't talk to me. >> If Janiah's tough girl act didn't earn her untouchable queen status, her follow-up performance definitely sealed the deal. >> How long has he lived here, ma'am? STOP. [screaming] >> LET ME GO. >> LET ME CHECK THESE HANDCUFFS. >> LET ME GO. >> I gave you about 10 warnings. >> I don't give a what you gave me. >> You don't know me, bro. I don't give a >> Well, you're under arrest now. >> I DON'T GIVE A [ __ ] I DIDN'T CARE AND I DON'T CARE NOW. EVERYBODY GOING TO STOP PLAYING WITH ME FOR REAL. >> I'M NOT under arrest for nothing. >> You are. You just punched me in the face. >> NO, I DIDN'T PUNCH YOU. YOU TRIED TO GRAB ME AND I MOLD YOU. I DON'T GIVE A about nobody wrong with trying to leave me your alone. >> You're under arrest. You're going to the county jail. >> I don't give no about no county jail with y'all. Y'all don't know me, bro. I would tweet THE OUT. >> STOP. >> Y'ALL DON'T KNOW ME, BRO. LET ME GO. >> TAKE A SEAT. >> I'M NOT PLAYING. GIVE ME MY PHONE. Call my grandma. >> You're not calling anybody right now, >> right? Cuz you a Let me go. Janiah really thought punching a cop in the face was a get out of jail ticket, but rather it was her get into jail ticket for charges of domestic dispute, domestic battery, aggravated battery on a peace officer, and resisting arrest with violence. Talk about collecting felonies like Pokemon cards. Next, learn why fighting your boyfriend inside the operating room is a terrible idea. >> The next time she walked up and it was four or five, both hands. >> What caused you to hit him tonight? >> I just saw the girls was calling on >> June 22nd, 2022. Clark County police urgently responded to a local hospital after staff reported seeing a woman slapping her husband in front of their baby. But as an officer raced inside to put an end to it, nothing could have prepared him for what happened next. >> This is going to be easier. >> Blue, >> how are you? >> Good. How are you? >> So, we're kind of in a pickle here. Okay. >> Technically, I can't show you the video without a court order. >> Shut up. >> Okay. >> Okay. Well, >> I'll let you see it cuz I know you need to. >> Let's not do that. I appreciate you being upfront about the whole court order thing. Let's not get anybody in trouble as far as showing me the video. What I will do is I'll go in there and I will speak to them. Uh, you said that you witnessed her hitting him, correct? >> Oh, yeah. I She hit him a minimum of five times. >> Okay. Open hand, close hand. Where we talking? Open hand. Cool. First time she walked by, it was a straight open hand to the side of the face. The next time she walked up and it was four or five, both hands. >> Okay. So, here's what we'll do. Since we have witness testimony, you that will be enough to at least have if we need to go the route of obtaining that, then we will fill out the we'll file the search warrant. I appreciate you being willing to show me, but let's not get anybody in trouble, especially with this being a family violence issue. It's definitely going to go to court and stuff. Now, what is the child here for? Okay. So, no signs of her doing that to the child kind of thing. >> No weird bruising, no injuries. >> Cool. Cool. So, how has her demeanor and behavior been other than hitting him? And did he react and hit her in the >> Yeah, she came in just with the baby and then he showed up maybe 30 minutes after. They've been here for almost 4 hours. >> Okay. >> So, after they got into the room, then 30 40 minutes he came in. The only interaction I've had since then was going in to recheck the overall temperature. Okay. >> And things seemed very tense between the two of them. Okay. That was after we knew all of or saw all of the hitting. >> So you've also viewed the footage. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I've seen her mood is very roller coaster. Like after the first hit, she was smiling like it was a joke. And then after the five hits or so, she was like gritting her teeth and seemed very agitated. when she was hitting him, the child was in the room just like she or he is now. >> Yeah. Just sitting right on the bed. >> Okay. All right. Well, I'm going to go talk to him, see what's going on in there. If she gets uh combative in there, I'm going to have another person come over here. >> Sensing how urgent this situation is, the officer swiftly rushes in to speak with the wife. But what Taylor reveals next leaves him absolutely speechless. >> Hello. >> Hey. Hey, I'm officer Coch with Clark County. Can I speak with you, ma'am? Back here, please. How are you doing? >> Good. How are you? >> Good. Are you Taylor? >> Yes. >> Oh, you such a cute baby. So, we got a call cuz people were concerned. The camera feed from the room shows you hitting your husband four or five times in the head. Is that husband? >> We're going through a divorce. >> Okay. So, husband, ex-husbandish. >> Shows you hitting him in the head five times with an open hand. What's going on in there? >> Um, well, a lot. We're going through a divorce. Um, he's talking to other girls. Um, a lot. >> What caused you to to hit him tonight? Just I just saw the girls was calling him. >> Okay. You just saw something on his phone. You got upset about it. All right. I'm going to speak to him really quick and just talk to him. If you'll just stand here and talk to this officer really quick while I do that. >> Taylor thinks being in her feelings is a valid excuse to throw hands and not the fastest way to lose custody of her kids. But when the officer finally talks to the victim, this situation is far more serious than anyone ever realized. >> Hey man, so Cody, what's going on, man? We got a phone call that was pretty concerning about her her hitting on you in here. She she saw some some other girl on your phone. She got upset about it. >> So is this the first time that she's done something like that? Is this a reoccurring thing? >> We're going through a divorce. >> I got you. That's what she told me. Here's what's going to have to happen, right? So, in the state of Georgia, family violence laws are very clear, right? Whether or not you want her to get in trouble for it, she put hands on you in an aggressive manner and she did it in front of your child in a public setting to where other people have it videoed. So, even if you don't want to press charges, she is going to be placed under arrest for simple battery family violence. Okay? I know this seems like a very minuscule thing for her to be arrested for, it's a really big deal. Okay? She did it here in the hospital. She did it in front of your child. >> I got you. And that's why I was explaining the So, here's why. the state of Georgia that if we have a family violence relationship and we have evidence of things getting physical of a crime, then we make that arrest because say it was reversed. Say you're in her hitting on her, she says, "I don't want to press charges. I don't want to press charges." Worst case scenario, y'all go home, things get worse. And it could be that way with you as well. >> If she keeps saying things on your phone like that, things could >> we don't live together like that. >> I understand that. But due to the fact that y'all technically right now are married, even though you're going through the divorce, you do have a child together. those two right there and you've lived together. That's three three family violence relationships right there off the bat. >> I mean, you ain't got to put her in handcuffs, please. >> Yeah, she's gonna have to go in handcuffs, man. I mean, that's She's under arrest. So, look, man. I I know this is a crappy situation, especially when y'all are just worried about your kid, but you kind of understand a little bit more now. >> I understand. I mean, tomorrow's her first birthday. >> I know. I mean, I hate it, but I guess the the only good part about it is is hopefully since she's only one, she ain't ever going to remember any any bit of this. Well, again, I do apologize if the situation happened to you guys, but it's just how things work, man. Hopefully, I'll never run into a situation like this again. So, if she's willing to be calm, we will walk out front before we put handcuffs on. Uh, if she's not willing to be calm, then we'll just have to put her in handcuffs here. Does that make sense? Again, sorry, man. I hate these situations. After speaking with Cody, the path forward is obvious. But before taking that step, the officer has to break the news to Taylor, who reacts like she's just learned the law doesn't care how she feels. >> Okay, Miss Taylor. >> Yes. >> Okay. So, speaking with Cody, obviously, he was just going further into what happened in the room. >> So, we're going to try and do this as calm as possible. We're not going to do anything in front of your son. Son >> daughter >> daughter, sorry. But what I would like for you do is if you could grab your purse. You're going to have to come with us. Okay. >> Okay. >> We'll go in here. We'll just grab your purse really quick. You'll get whatever you need. >> So, we'll just go ahead and head outside. Um I'm not going to You're being cooperative. I'm not going to put your handcuffs in here. >> I'm so sorry. It's been her birthday tomorrow. >> I know. That's what he was telling me. >> Um it's been a a rough year. >> If you'll just set your purse right here for me and uh if you'll just go and put your hands behind your back, palms together. I'm going to make sure it doesn't hurt. So, we'll turn you this way. Sorry. I'm a nervous break. >> It's okay. Don't >> be nervous. It's okay. >> Like I said, this isn't the end of the world. It's not going to mess up anything with your children. >> Yeah, you have to stay till the morning cuz you have to see a judge first. Okay. That being family violence stuff, you got to see a judge. I promise you'll be fine. You have any questions right now? Anything I can explain? Nor >> I've been in trouble with the law and my baby's birthday's tomorrow. >> Well, you'll be out for your baby's birthday. I promise. Okay. I am just going to poke through your purse really quick. Make sure you don't have any weapons or bombs in there, but I'm not going to get invasive or anything. Okay. All right. Feeling hurt is one thing, but fighting your boyfriend inside the operating room is beyond insane. Now, the only room Taylor will see are the four gray walls of her jail cell facing charges for simple battery, family violence, and in the third degree. But what happens when a psycho boyfriend tries to act like she's the victim? >> Why am I here? Why someone? >> I don't know. I think you need to leave. >> She keeps pushing strangling me. Hit me cuz she didn't want me to leave. >> NO. PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T PUT me in jail. >> On September 22nd, 2018, a man in Key West, Florida urgently called 911, stating that his girlfriend assaulted him over a minor argument. But when an officer arrived to confront her, he had no idea of the chaos about to unfold. My manager just got here, so you may not even really need to be there, but he's over there in the blue polo. >> All right, that's your manager. >> Yeah, my manager. >> I just got here. I'm sorry. >> Okay. What's going on? >> That's what I'm trying to find out as well. >> Is he involved? >> Can you have a seat? He just wants to leave. >> I'm just trying to have a seat. What's going on? Why am I here? >> I've been trying to leave. She keeps pushing, strangling me, hitting me because she didn't want me to leave. >> How are you guys related? >> Um, we have a child together. No, that's why I stay here. Hello. >> Hi. >> Are you okay? >> No. I don't know what's going on. I don't know. >> Why am I here? Why is someone called? >> I don't know. I think you need to leave. I don't know what's going on. Honestly, I'm so embarrassed. I don't know what's going on. We came back from the pool and we had a great day. And then all of a sudden, he just told me he was leaving and we're not supposed to check out till Monday morning. I don't know what's going on. >> You think You think he's leaving to to separate? >> I don't know. I don't know. or just temporary cuz you guys are fighting or >> I'm so embarrassed. I have no idea. You have to >> Are there any weapons in here? >> No. >> All right. Can you just have a seat real quick? Take a deep breath. >> I don't want him to leave. We're not supposed to leave till Monday morning. >> Listen, I'm here. I have to investigate this. >> I understand. I'm so confused. I don't know what's going on. >> Take a deep breath. >> We were supposed to get ready and go to dinner. I don't know. Upon first contact with the woman, she begins sobbing with seemingly no tears present. This is a common manipulation tactic used by suspects trying to paint themselves with the brush of a victim. But just when she thinks her crocodile tears were Oscar worthy, the officer spots something that changes everything. >> She seems really intoxicated. Yeah, that's why I'm trying to leave. Violent when that happened. >> Can you break it down for me? >> She had too much to drink. I asked her about 3 hours before and >> she didn't and I'm trying to leave. >> Are those Is that from earlier? >> It's fine. I just >> Is that any yes or no questions? Is that from earlier? Right here. >> Oh, no. No, not this. That's That's old. >> You said she was trying to strangle you and stuff like that. >> She was just trying to keep me from leaving. Everything's fine. I just Can I just get my black backpack and leave? >> No, no, no. Do you have ID on you? >> Yeah. >> Cuz you guys have a kid together? >> Yes, sir. >> Do you have ID on you? I don't know where it is. He had He had my wallet earlier. I don't know where anything is. He came back from the pool. I don't know anything. >> We're in the back by the pool. >> Please just don't let him leave. He's so drunk. >> He's not leaving. >> Don't I don't know. >> I DON'T I DON'T KNOW. I don't know. I don't know. Please don't let him leave. I don't know what's going on. >> He's not leaving. >> Came back here. We had a great day. I don't I don't know what's going on. >> I'll be right back. Okay. All right. Do me a favor. Clean your head that way so I can see the other side of your neck. Turn the other way. Put your hands flat. Throw your fingers out. Right now I >> Yeah. I swear to God on my daughter 2-year-old daughter's life, I never touched him. >> You know how many do I swear to God in my life? >> I need your phone number. >> I don't want him to leave. My birthday is tomorrow. For my >> I need your I need your [laughter] phone number. >> Is he trying to tell you that I that I put my hands on him? Because I swear to God in my life. I didn't try to >> Your phone number, please. I'm ready to write it down. >> I swear to God if y'all put me in jail for something I didn't do. I >> I have a parenthesis. I'm ready. >> To God of my life. I never touched him. And this is not >> quickly. Yeah. Did you witness them fighting? >> Not really. I mean, I closed the door. >> Okay. Without a single scratch to back up her story, she scrambles to downplay the situation. But just before she can steer this case in her favor, officers flip the script on her. >> She's going to jail tonight for domestic battery. She has to. >> Why? >> Why? >> Because we have probable cause. >> No, no, no, no, no. Listen, I >> She is. It is what it is. If you cause any trouble, you're going to go too. All right. It is what it is. >> She's all over. >> No. Please, please don't put me in jail. >> You're resist. That's going TO BE AN EXTRA. >> I DIDN'T TOUCH HIM. I DIDN'T TOUCH HIM. PLEASE. This room is in my name. Please. >> Swear to God. I swear to God in my life, I didn't touch him. >> Why are you arresting me? WHAT DID I DO? >> WHAT? >> WE HAVE PROBLEMS. I >> swear to God, I never touched him. I SWEAR TO GOD, I NEVER TOUCHED HIM. WE'RE SUPPOSED to be here. WE'RE SUPPOSED TO FLY OUT ON TUESDAY. ARE YOU REALLY ARRESTING ME RIGHT NOW? >> Can you look that way real quick? I have to double lock. >> What happens now? Is he? Oh my god. Can he TELL YOU RIGHT NOW HE DOESN'T WANT ME ARRESTED? >> Up to him. >> It's up to y'all. >> No, it's the state of Florida. What else? >> Are you kidding ME RIGHT NOW? I DON'T EVEN HAVE UNDERWEAR or bra. OH MY GOD. I DIDN'T TOUCH HIM. I SWEAR TO GOD IN MY [screaming] LIFE, I didn't touch him. >> Time out for a second. >> Yes. Can you wait for just a second? >> I HAVE NOT TOUCHED HIM. >> WE don't have a choice. >> This is NOT RIGHT. SO, WHAT HAPPENS TO ALL OF MY THINGS THAT ARE HERE? WHAT ABOUT ALL OF MY THINGS THAT ARE HERE IN THIS? >> Let's walk. >> Please, my work phone IS MY WORK PHONE. >> EVERYTHING. This is your work phone. >> Yes. Please tell ME WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN. ALL OF MY THINGS. NO. ALL OF MY THINGS. WHAT? WHAT ARE YOU DOING? >> ALL MY THINGS. ALL OF MY WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? ALL OF MY THINGS. WHAT ARE YOU [screaming] DOING? >> [ __ ] I lost a flipflop. >> I LOST A SHOE. OH MY GOD. WHAT ABOUT MY SHOE? IN MY PURSE AND MY THINGS. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS [laughter] to me? I don't even have underwear or a bra on. >> They will take care of you at the jail. >> Why are you doing this to me? I didn't do this to him. >> Also is going to hold you. I need you to chill. >> Please. I didn't do this, sir. I promise. Can you please tell me what I can do? Please can I? >> Instead of catching a tan, all this woman caught was the sweet heat of court dates for charges of domestic battery. From the hotel to the police station, this man raced to report his girlfriend for attacking him over a dispute about money. This is how the drama unfolded. >> Morning. >> Morning. >> You need to talk to a police officer. >> Yeah. >> What's going on? >> Do you need my ID so you know who you're talking with or anything? >> Not yet. We'll get there. >> So, we haven't had the greatest finances together, me and my wife, Holly. And so this happened before where we've gotten into an argument and she got so angry that she decided to hit me. Last time she open hand slapped me in the face several times and I just sat there and took it cuz it's not like me to go hit anybody. And last night I took pictures of she she decided that you know after another argument she came at me and you know she took her nails and she scratched me up pretty good and it still hurts. >> Mhm. And I had big welts on my chest and my arm where she had open hand to hit me. And I don't want to press any charges on her, but I just want to make it known because I need to have something with me cuz I'm going to end up getting divorce. >> Okay. >> If that makes any sense. And I don't know if you guys particularly have press charges for a domestic like that. Do you have to? It >> just depends. It's a possibility. >> I don't I don't want to ruin anything. I still have to be considerate of what she has she's got going for and I don't want to ruin that for her. I don't I don't want it to be a battle for that. Okay. What happened last night? Was there any mutual fighting or is it just one way? >> She was just talking to me about a lot of the things and I just really didn't even want to pay attention anymore just because she was so vulgar with with it and she was saying a lot of mean things to me. Said that she deserves better and and all this stuff and that I'm way less than she is because she can save more money than I can. It was all over finances. Like I said, yeah, there's really not much else to it, but I do have the pictures to at least show you if you want. Seeing how shaken Joel was, the officer knew he'd been through a wild night, which he further confirmed after he was shown this. >> So, here's the open hand arm mark. There's five fingers that was here. And there there's one she hit me on my chest as well. And then that was the scrape. She she cut me open with her. Okay, >> that was me just trying to like block it. And I never never laid a finger on her. The only thing I did was I tried to push her off of me, but I never physically hit her. If you're all right, we'll go back here to the interview room and we'll talk a little private. >> She's done this once before, but I've never laid a finger on her in my life. >> Okay. So, no police reports or anything like that. >> I I almost did one last time. I did have a video of her admitting that she hit me. I set her up in a conversation where she admitted it, but uh when one night when I was sleeping, she got into my phone and found it and she deleted it. So, I have no record of it anymore. >> But what you're reporting is domestic violence to a police officer. >> I know. So when I I get a report of domestic violence, there are things that I have to do regardless of man or woman reporting it. Right. >> Right. >> So you you're coming in here with injuries saying that your wife caused them to you. The typical procedure I'll just tell you what it is is I'll ask you to give me a written statement. I'll photograph your injuries and then I'll go interview her. And then after I interview her, if there's no other evidence that comes up, you know, you have an injuries as probable cause to charge her with domestic violence. I don't want her to be burned in any way. >> Well, and then the thing is is in domestic violence things, if I have probable cause, I use we but we're required to file charges. >> So, if I don't file the report, you guys can't >> you're already you're already here. You've >> essentially filed the started the process of filing the report. So, once once I know about what's going on, then >> there's no exception. >> Yeah. The bolt wheels already turning, you know. Like I said, I do have to interview her first. Well, it's 9:07, so I'm going to go try and catch her before she leaves for work. >> Yeah, her work starts. >> With probable cause now established, officers head straight to Holly's front door. And the second she opens it, her expression says it all. >> Hello. Are you Holly? >> Yeah. >> I'm Officer Dom at the police department. I need to speak to you. >> Okay. Would you like to step out or us to step out? >> Is everything okay? >> I'll talk [snorts] to you once. So, your husband Joel >> Yeah. >> filed a complaint with me and that's what I need to speak to you about. >> Okay. >> Okay. Before I talk to you, I'm going advise you of your rights. Understand your rights. Are you okay to give me a statement? >> I believe so. >> Okay. All right. What happened between you and Joel last night? Cuz you come and filed a complaint. That's why I need to clear them. >> I found out he had been spending a lot of money. I had confronted him about it. I went into the bedroom to get away from him. He wouldn't leave me alone. So, I got out of there and I went and I parked up the university for a while. >> Okay. >> Uh, by the time I got home, he was gone and that's what I know. >> Okay. So, the reason I'm here is it was reported there was violence between you two. Some form of physical conflict. >> Okay. >> So, there's been an accusation that you were physically violent with Joel. >> Nothing other than me getting out of his way. I don't really know. >> Okay. Was Joel violent with you at any point last night? >> No. >> Has he ever been violent with you? >> No. >> Okay. And you and Joel have been married for three years. Is that correct? >> Not quite three. About two and a half. >> Somewhere around there. And you live together? >> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. >> Sorry. I just I've never had something like this. >> We're investing a domestic violence complaint. That's why we're here. >> Okay. >> The betrayal in her eyes hit different. She really thought for better or for worse meant Joel would keep her assault a secret. >> So what? >> And he has visible injuries. >> So I'll just be honest with you. Joel's got like red marks on his arm and scratches. They said >> nothing other than him trying to stop me from getting out of the room. >> Okay. >> Like, you know, he wasn't trying to hurt me, but he also wouldn't let me leave. So, the only thing I can imagine had happened is I had pushed him out of the way. >> This would have been more than a push. He's on his arms got like scratches. >> Yeah, I kind of grabbed him. >> Or you dug your nails in. I guess >> I I don't even have much nails. I must have, you know, >> Okay. >> I I can't imagine I had done something like that. I mean, if if I had done something, fine, whatever. I didn't I didn't think I had done that much. >> Okay. >> Despite the mounting evidence against her, Holly still tries to push her luck one last time, manipulating, deflecting the whole play the victim handbook, only for her wall of lies to come crashing down on her. >> So, I mean, is there I mean, am I going to jail? Is that what's happening? >> That's the way it seems now. Yes. I'm not going to lie to you, okay? >> But I told him and I told Tony the same thing. I wanted to come talk to you first and see if there was some other explanation. But once the once I get involved and somebody's got marks on them and it's from some kind of a altercation. >> So am I going to lose my job? Like I mean I've never you work at NB is what he said. >> Yeah. >> You can ask them, but I don't know why. Okay. >> You know, like >> this has nothing to do with that necessarily. You didn't intentionally cause him harm is what you're saying, but maybe it happened during the >> I just wanted to get out of the room and go. We had just gotten an A bill that was they do a thing where they settle up where we ended up getting charged almost $1,200 and then I found out he had been spending more than I make in a week on sports cards last year. >> Sports. Yeah. Okay. He said it was about finances, but not that. >> I was pretty lost. I I didn't know if we were going to be able to pay for everything. >> Okay. >> I guess you're probably glad you caught me because I was getting ready to leave for work. >> Yeah, that's that's what he said. So, >> no. I I don't really need to. I've never had this happen, so I don't really even know what's going on. >> I wanted to get you here before you went to work, cuz I don't like doing that when people have to go to work. >> Do I have to? >> Yeah, I'll cuff you up here. >> Okay. [music] >> Yeah. He he said that he he wanted to file the report, but he didn't want to file charges, but we don't really have a choice when somebody comes in. So, >> I'm going to walk over to the SUV there. >> You don't have anything else on you? >> No. >> No, no weapon. >> You saw the weapon. >> Okay. >> Just hop in the back there. >> Yep. >> Oh, sorry. I probably did that a little bit aggressively. That's all right. >> If only Holly stayed this calm last night, she wouldn't have found herself in jail facing charges for domestic violence. Now, meet a woman who thought being a girl gave her a free pass to assault her boyfriend. On May 4th, 2024, police in Ohio urgently responded to a residence after a woman claimed that her boyfriend had [music] assaulted her. Here's what happened when officers showed up. Okay, explain to me what happened and I'll talk to him. >> See, and what and me and my kids were asleep and he had woke me up cuz he left and that's my vehicle and it doesn't even matter. But I came up here, we started arguing. He had hit me and I told him I said, "It's the last time you're going to hit me and I'm just done with it. He needs to get the out of here." >> Where did he hit you at? >> Right here. >> Like closed hand, open hand. >> It He hit me. He just hit me and I fell right there. >> Did you hit him first? >> No, I had put my hands on him. He was trying to start a fight between somebody else and I wasn't I'm not getting in a fight. So he I took his phone and then well he actually he gave me his phone and then I had took it and then he he hit me right away. Britney leans hard into her role as the victim. But [music] when they spoke to her boyfriend, what he told them turned this entire case right on its head. >> Dad, dude, this is crazy. So tell me your half of the story. >> My half of the story, the true [ __ ] story is I've been trying to get that out of my house for months. She will not leave. My son right there was watching out the window while I was trying to get in my home. Okay. After talking to my neighbor, she came out here and [ __ ] attacked me. Dude, I don't hit females. I'm sorry how angry I am. >> Where did she attack you? Where' she hit you at or anything? >> In the back of my head. >> Let me see your head. >> Like like I mean she didn't pulled it. >> You didn't even let me see it. >> Yeah. Hang on, dude. >> No. No. >> Where'd she hit you at? >> She hit me right here in my head. Back of my head. I never touched her. >> So, how how did her chin get all red right here? >> Her chin got red. >> Yeah, like her jaw right here. >> She slipped right here. I do ask them. Ask my son. I don't didn't hit her. Did not. I would never hit her. >> With both sides pointing fingers and no way to tell who's lying, officers turn their attention to their only witness, the man's 11-year-old son. and what he tells them would finally reveal the truth. >> So, I was um sitting on my phone on the couch and then I heard Britney on the phone yelling at my dad to get home and then >> No, go back inside real quick. We're talking to everybody separately. >> You're talking to a child? >> Yeah, I am. Please go back inside. >> What the [ __ ] >> And then >> that's a child. >> Exactly. That's why I'm talking to him. Please go back inside. Seeing how eager Britney was to [music] jump into their discussion, it became clear that there was more to this story than she was letting on, which police [music] further confirmed after they heard this. And then um I heard uh like Britney uh yelling like and then she came out of the door and then I heard them screaming and I looked out the window and then I heard and then I seen Britney hit a punch and my dad like blocked it like that and then she kind my dad kind of like I kind of pushed her off a little bit and then that was it. And then my dad came in yelling and saying uh he he was going to call the police and Bernie kept on saying she was going to call the police. >> Does that make sense for what she told you? >> Oh, what she's saying is complete opposite. She says she went out here because he was in the truck or whatever and then that they got into an argument, he hit her and she fell on the ground. She fell on the ground at all. >> Yeah. >> But his and his story is the same. So, >> I'm good with that. Yeah. >> The second Britney noticed that the officers trusted the little boy over her. Her ego just couldn't handle it and she completely lost it. >> But he was trying to start an argument between me and somebody else. And I said, so I was trying to deescalate the problem because I'm not bringing no arguments here. And then he had hit me. He hit me in my face and it's not just my am like it's that's how he will try to make it to be like I'm lying, but I'm not lying. >> I mean the the the redness that >> right there's a mark on my face. >> Well, right here it's it's like I don't know if it's cuz you're rubbing it or what. >> No, he had hit me. I didn't put my hands on him. >> You didn't hit him in the back of the head? >> No, I did not do any of that [ __ ] He's 11. Do you think an 11-year-old would just kind of make up and fabricate a story or >> Honestly, I I really do. I really think so. >> Well, here >> if he cuz he had came in here and told him that like, "Oh, she hit me. She hit me cuz he doesn't want to go to jail." But like the the thing about it is this is the last time he's going to put his hands on me because I've been hit enough. Me and my kids have been through enough here. So, he's he's going to have to just whatever you look whatever you guys he needs to go to jail. probably needs to sit in jail and he needs to have some time to think about what the is doing because he's acting crazy. >> The officers saw right through Britney's act. No matter how hard she tried to pin this on her boyfriend, they've already clocked who the real aggressor was. But when they tried to break the news to her, all hell broke loose. >> You're going to jail. >> So, let's go. >> I'm going to the jail. >> You're under arrest. >> How? No. No. How am I under arrest? How am I under arrest for getting hit? You determined to be the primary aggressor. >> I'm under No, no, no. No, no, no. >> Yes. >> Don't come here. >> Don't make it worse. >> I resist. We have to. >> HOW AM I UNDER ARREST? NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. HOW AM I UNDER ARREST? SIR, I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. ARREST A FEMALE. Where is he at? >> Come on. It's open. >> Where is he? >> Get in there. >> No. No. No. No. No. No. No. >> Push your FOOT IN. >> HOW ARE YOU? Instead of studying the play the victim handbook, Britney will be studying the design of her jail cell, facing charges of domestic violence, and resisting arrest. Being exposed by a child is insane, but not as insane as threatening your husband with a knife. >> The problem is is he does not know how to admit that he's wrong. Yeah, >> she uh she takes no medication and when she don't take it, she becomes that. >> On [snorts] June 4th, 2023, police urgently responded to a residence after a man stated that his wife had threatened him with a knife. This is what happened when officers arrived. Looks like he's got another door lock. Shouldn't be that hard. here. Claire, he's advising she's still actively trying to break the door down. >> Do they have a back door or anything? >> He's advising all the doors I lost. >> I guess we're going to break his front door now. >> Yep. >> You may get it. Get out of here. [ __ ] godamn. >> Get down here now. >> Your hands right now. Get down here. >> No, I'm not coming down here. This is my house. I have done nothing wrong. And I don't have to get your hands off me. I haven't done nothing weapons on you. >> NO, I DON'T. AND I'VE NOT DONE ANYTHING. GET the man. This is my house and I haven't done anything behind your back. No, I HAVEN'T DONE THAT WRONG. HOW in the constituting you coming in, breaking my door down because I'm having a conversation with my husband. >> I So you guys can't take me to jail for arguing and beating on my own. I own this house and I have a light on the door. >> Well, fairly. >> No, the problem is is he does not know how to admit that he's wrong. He doesn't know how to admit that he cheated on me for so long. after yinking Tamara out of the house, police finally reach her husband, who was still barricaded inside of his bedroom. But when he steps out, what he reveals would stop the officers dead in their tracks. >> So, what's going on? >> Well, you guys can see in reports that this has happened multiple times. She uh she takes no medication and when she don't take it, she becomes that. Now, we've been going through this. I've learned like here, let me show you guys something. Look at this. This had a 2x4 through it. There's one on that side, too. I know what's going to happen. It happened yesterday. I called the police down in Clinton County cuz she was losing her [ __ ] And this is all over. Me and her had a thing with her friend 20 years ago. That friend's dead. That relationship ended. It's all I mean, whatever. >> Obviously, since she's passed away, but she gets triggered and thinks of faults and [ __ ] then goes nuts over. She needs I I in my head because this has been going on for 2 years now. institutionalized. She needs to be put somewhere and get her medicines right or maybe even talk to her to figure out what really I mean there's something deeper inside. There's got to be she wouldn't like us forever. Like how the hell's 2 years out of 20 years? She just loses her. I I just don't understand. I don't understand mental problems. I don't understand her medicine. She [ __ ] medicine, guys. >> Seeing the frantic state Chris was in, cops didn't [music] need much convincing about who the victim was. But that wasn't what Tamara thought. >> Am I going to jail? >> I don't know what's going on yet. I just got here. >> I swear to God, I've not done anything wrong. I had beat on the door. Yes, I did. Because I wanted him to answer me. He can sit in there and he can call the cops and tell him I'm going crazy. But he won't answer me so I can just move on with my life. But he always blames me in my medicine. My medicine had nothing to do with any of this. Had to do with the fact that he always runs away and hangs up on me. He can never just have a conversation with me. It's always got to be something stupid, childish, putting his fingers in his ears, blah blah blah me, like not listening to anything I say, running away, threatening me with the police, or hiding from me, and not answering or opening the door. I'm not done anything wrong, but try to have a simple conversation. >> While Tamara continues acting like she's the real victim here, Chris was inside showing officers what he'd actually been dealing with. taking this from just a domestic dispute to something far more disturbing. >> I mean, it's seven or eight medicines and they changed it last year or two years ago, they changed her to lithium that really she went nuts as stuff hearing stuff. She sat in that bed was talking to people that's dead telling me that my son walked by the door and left with some people. He was in his room sleeping. Uh she did believe she got and I still was 50/50 on that because she's mental, but hey, happened. So, I didn't say it was 100%, but I didn't say I didn't believe her either, but there was never no evidence. No, nobody, nothing. I don't know what to do. >> So, I'm seeing damage and chips on this door. Is that old or is that new? >> Uh, this is from previous right here. This all right here is from the day. Uh, the door being broke off, >> like marks and stuff. Probably from that rubber hammer there, >> I would say. >> Okay. So, she had the hammer there. >> This one here. So, she's trying to hit the door with this that hammer. I don't know you guys anything else. and let me move on my life. Get out the prison. Get the Get out. Get the out. Get out. >> That's her trying to break down the door. >> I can see the doororknob moving. >> But all during that she was doing threats and stuff. You just don't hear it clear. >> Um we we have dispatch recordings too that we can get. >> Oh, she heard it and she said, "I'll stay in room." I stay in the room. Once enough evidence was collected, officers prepared to take Tamara to the station completely unprepared for what was about to happen next. For him to have with my best friend behind my back for 12 years, for him to get caught doing it multiple times, he got caught. And then his friend told me, "He's cheating on you." And I, well, again, he's cheating on me again. It never stopped is what he said to me. It never stopped. For 16 years, he continued to hurt me. And I [snorts] never found out about it. This all happened because I was ragged by that neighbor there and the trauma caused all these memories to come back. I gave you a son and I gave you my whole life and have been the only person that's ever been faithful to you and cared about you truly. And I do love him and I don't know how not to love him. But it's not right for him to walk away from me and not even give me 5 minutes to express the things that he said to me and the things that he still says to me about her or the things that he told me, you know, why he cheated on me cuz I was mean to him apparently. Tamara keeps throwing out every excuse in the book, but these officers aren't buying any of them. But when she finally realizes the jig is up, she begins gaslighting the officers. >> The reason you're here is for domestic violence by threats. >> And I didn't do anything wrong. >> He was on the phone with dispatch on 911. >> I didn't threaten him, though. I was screaming. He wouldn't open the door or leave or even give me a comment. Like there's nothing. It's like he don't I don't know. How do you do something to somebody and justify not even giving that person an explanation, not answering that person, just completely ignoring that person. And all I want is for him to have a conversation with me. You don't have to act like a little kid and put your fingers in your ears. You don't have to threaten me with the police. You don't have to threaten to leave me like you have some kind of power over me. I did have an attitude problem. I didn't always get up and cook or clean. I wasn't always the nicest to him. But to try and justify your actions by telling me that you cheated on me because I was mean to you. >> You were heard on 911 threatening bodily harm to him. Yes. >> No. That's what we >> They must not have heard what the I said. My I was screaming and I was going crazy because I felt like I was having a stroke at the time and for some reason my like voice kept acting really weird and I really did think I had a stroke and I wanted him to come and actually check on me. Who knows how this would have ended had Chris not barricaded himself in his bedroom. Because now the only barricades tomorrow will see are the metal bars of her jail cell facing charges of domestic violence, aggravated menacing, and resisting arrest. Tamara thought delusion would be her ultimate escape. But Laura thought screaming would be hers. I haven't done anything wrong. This man has mental illness problems. It has been documented. >> Yeah. He's the one cooperating and you're not. >> Uhhuh. >> On June 12th, 2024, officers in Charlotte County arrived at a residence. After a man called 911 stating that his wife had attacked him and trashed their home, [music] but nothing could have prepared the officers for what happened when they arrived. >> I'm good. >> What's going on? No, nothing. I'm sitting in my car because this man is torn my house into Schles this evening. >> So, did you call us or did he call us? I think he called us. >> He called you. I I think. >> So, what did he call us for? >> Uh, you're going to have to ask him that. I don't know. >> Okay. So, what's going on tonight? >> Go ask him. He called you. >> She's He's talking to him over there. I'm trying to talk to you and find out what's going on. >> Okay. What happened to your finger there? >> What happened to my finger? >> Yeah, your finger right here is all torn up. >> Where? >> Right there. It's all bloody. >> Where? My finger's not wet. So that uh that's from uh fighting him off. >> Okay. Fighting him off. How? >> Just leave me alone. Okay. I have nothing to say. I have no nothing to say. He called you. I have nothing to say. >> We're investigating a crime right now. >> What's the crime? >> He's alleging that you were battering him and throwing stuff at him and hitting him. >> Correct. He has put his hands around my neck several times. >> Okay. So, that's what I'm here. >> Torn my house apart. >> That's what I'm here trying to talk to you about. >> I I don't want to talk. It took all of two seconds to [music] realize why the husband called the officers for help, but let's leave that up to him to tell us why. >> When I went to uh got out of the shower and um I went to grab the sheets, which is in the third bedroom, and brought them back brought him back over. As soon as I started putting them on the bed, put um uh she got on top of the bed. She she got on top of the bed, said, "You are not going to say you're not going to freaking sleep in this bed." [ __ ] I as I'm trying to put the she sheets on. She's she's just screaming screaming at me. I said, "All right, I'm done with this. Okay, take the room. Take the bed. I do not care." Uh I just started slowly moving my stuff stuff out. She's following me around the house, screaming at me that why are you doing this to me? Why are you doing this to me? And then she proceeded to freaking start throw throwing things at me. >> And what did she throw at you? uh a case of freaking a case of what was left of twisted tea or a full beer can a full beer can freaking do. And as I I went back in to try to take my TV off the wall, she's like, "You're not taking that." I like and she's just like that's I'm like, "That's my TV." She went into the bedroom where I'm moving in all my stuff, proceeded to grab all the cords that I've already unplugged to before I take it off the wall. Open the door. Chuck him somewhere in the yard here. >> The husband's distress was clear from the off. And based on what we're about to see, it's safe to say he wasn't exaggerating. >> Do it. >> What? >> You broke the door >> in that video. >> Yeah. When Yeah. She she kicked the door open and busted it right off the >> but as she was throwing my [ __ ] out. >> Now when she was throwing the bottles and stuff like that >> the boss is still in front of me. >> Did it actually make Did it make contact with you or was it just thrown in your general direction? >> It the debris hit me. I think it was meant to hit me but her hand eye coordination wasn't that good. If you come near me and arrest me for him attacking me, I don't know what kind of hell has come down on you. >> How do I know he attacked you? You're not wanting to provide a statement or anything. >> I am not going to provide any statement to any person on the Paguorta Police Department. I've called you several times when this man has attacked me and no one has helped me. >> So, just for clarification, we're actually Charlotte County. We're not punaga. With Laura showing no signs of cooperating, the officers were left with no other choice but to take the next step. [music] But as expected, Laura won't make that easy. >> Turn off the car. >> Get out of the car. >> No. >> Get out of the car. >> I'm not going to tell you again. Get out of the car. >> You're standing in front of my car with >> Yeah. And we're telling you to get out and you're not getting out. >> I'm a criminal. I have not done anything wrong. >> Well, you're resisting. I'm not resisting. >> Yeah, you are. >> What crime have I committed? >> Battery. That's what you commit. >> I have not. >> The last thing we want to do is break that window. And >> if you break my window, that's on you. You do what you have to do. I have not done anything wrong. I've not done anything wrong that been accused of something that you have done nothing to figure out if it's true or not. Have you? You >> I have. But you don't want you don't want to cooperate out of my car. I'm in place. I'm scared. I'm scared. You don't want to cooperate. >> Threatening me. >> I'm not threatening you. >> You threatened to break my window out. >> I didn't say that. >> Yes, you did. >> I said that if you >> make me break this window out. >> Yeah, I said that because you are resisting. You are resisting. >> What crime have I committed? >> I already told you. Battery. >> Prove it. >> Uh, he has marks all over his body. So do I. >> I don't see nothing on you. >> So do I. >> I don't see anything on you. >> He also has bipolar and several mental issues. >> Well, he's perfectly calm. >> He's perfectly calm. >> He's perfectly calm and cooperating. >> He's cooperating with the investigation and you are not. I am. Am I under arrest? >> Yes, you are. >> I am not. >> Yes, you are. >> Laura is somehow still convinced that she is in charge. So, officers naturally decide to give her a crash course in how the real law works. >> Listen to me. Look, I'm with the K9 unit. You want to get bit by a dog? Get your ass out of the car right now. You have until I go get my dog. I'm going to break this window and you're going to bit by a dog. You will be bit by a dog. >> I will not get out of my car. And there's some canine here with a with a dog trying to threaten to get me out of my car. Please come over to my house right now. >> There is no stopping. >> Stop it. >> No, you're not going to tell me what to do. >> I have dealt with a psycho all night. I'm not doing it with the police department. >> We're not psychos. You're the You're the No, I'm not. >> You're acting like one. I've had a man beat the [ __ ] out of me tonight and you're standing at my window doing the same thing he did. >> Okay, then come out here and talk to us. >> No. >> Okay. >> Please do not touch me. I would like to go stand with my sister and my mom. >> Right now, you're gonna be placed under arrest. >> For what? >> Let it go. Let it go. >> Why are you arresting me? >> We're gonna allow you to talk to your mom. I would just talk to your mom. >> If you want to speak to your mom and your sister, if you want We don't have to allow you to do that. We can tell your mom and sister to leave. You're an adult. They have no business being here. Actually, 100%. We can tell them to leave. >> I've asked them to come for my protection. >> It doesn't matter what you ask. >> I've been battered in my home. >> Okay. Then why didn't you get out and give that statement? >> Because you guys are being very threatening and you're arresting me and you're not listening to me. before that when they actually >> they're not listening to me. I have been attacked repeatedly. For you all to be arresting me is an injustice and I will I will I do not I do not think this is okay. >> Please be calm. You have to go before the judge tomorrow. You will be arraigned tomorrow. Call me after that. There's not anything I can do tonight that I haven't already done. As it turns out, crying for mommy won't save you from your own bad behavior. But Laura learned that the hard way when she was charged with resisting arrest and domestic violence. Next, learn why you shouldn't laugh after assaulting your boyfriend. >> That a female was hanging on the shirt of a male and there is screaming. So, >> on July 15th, 2022, police went searching for a couple after multiple 911 calls reported a woman attacking a man. Cops arrived to find a seemingly random man walking on the sidewalk. Thinking he might have seen something, cops stopped to question him about it, but nothing could have prepared them for what he was about to say. >> Good. Hey, were you just walking with a with a girl? >> Huh? >> Were you walking with a girl down P Street or nothing like that? >> Okay, we got a call. It's a guy possibly getting smacked around by a girl in a pink shirt. So, we're just checking their ears. >> Someone down there, but >> you saw somebody down there? >> Pink shirt. >> What's all the scratches on your neck, man? >> Right here? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. What's your Do you have an ID on you, bro? >> I don't. >> You don't? What's your name, man? >> I I don't need to tell you. >> Yeah. >> Look, bro. I mean, it doesn't need to be complicated, man. I didn't break the laws. I didn't. >> I know, but I have a lawful reason to stop you. Okay. What? >> Because we got dispatched. You match the description of the guy that was getting beat up by a girl. Okay. You have injuries on your neck. All right. >> It don't matter. >> It does matter. >> Officers immediately took note of these scratches all over his neck. But instead of seeking help, he was trying to actively avoid speaking to them about it. But the harder officers pushed him for details, the more suspicious they got. >> I mean, I don't understand why it's so hard to give you to give me your name. If you don't want to do anything about this, we'll I mean, I can go down there and try to figure a statement. >> Listen to me. Listen. >> I ain't pressing no charges. So, what are you guys going to do? Just take my name and anymore >> or not take your name and take you straight to jail for concealing your identity? >> Concealing my identity? >> That is that in itself is a crime because you are committing a crime. >> You want to guys want to follow me? No, I I don't want to I don't want >> hitting me. I'll show you guys where to go. >> No, I want to stay right here. >> Why? You guys are You guys are talking to me, but you don't want to talk to the person that's committing a crime. >> That's why you guys are up. >> But I am talking to the commercial the person that's committing the crime. >> I can't commit no crime. So, we go in the car. Once we get down there, once we in the car, I'll tell you my name. We go down there and we can talk to the person that's committing the crime room. >> All right, let's go do that. Then, >> while he's busy playing defense attorney for [music] his girlfriend, backup officers arrive to get her side of the story. and what she tells them deserves an Oscar nomination. >> And so what's going on between you two? >> Just a verbal argument, but like you said, we're both at my mom's trunk right now. It was nothing extravagant. >> Jay, it's more than a verbal argument cuz we had people calling in saying that a female was hanging on the shirt of a male >> like that. >> And there is screaming. So >> I scratch myself. I do get pretty crazy myself. I put nothing on him. So, I know in my law enforcement and my dictionary and stuff, you guys can't charge anything. >> When someone batters another person in a domestic violence >> see that or did they just hear us arguing cuz I yell I yelled like a mother. I ain't going to lie. It's not even him competing. It's me. I will completely say that. I'll go to jail right now for that. >> Okay, that's me. Weird flex, but okay. And just when the officers moved in to fulfill her wish, she decided to do the unthinkable. >> YOU'RE A BALL THAT FAT. WHY THE [screaming] respectfully do not like that. >> I'm telling you, respectfully, do not touch her like that. >> TRIES TO KICK ME. SHE JUST BROKE MY GLASSES. >> Chill the out for real. >> Let go. >> Let go. >> Stop. >> My uncle Rodriguez, mother. See what the happened. >> Stop. you ain't. >> She really thought screaming about her uncle being a cop would get her out of trouble. But when that didn't work as intended, she decided to switch tactics, just not in the way anyone expected. You >> don't. >> No. Why? What are you doing? >> Can't stay in a relationship long enough. [laughter] >> All right. All right. Bye. Have a seat. >> Okay, you can >> I want I don't want to make my mom feel weird. I'm saying she's supposed to cut my hair and my boyfriend's there. She's a barber. You are more than welcome to stop by, walk in, anything you want. She already told me. >> Okay. So, come back. >> What do you want me to say? How much you want me to pay you? How much? What's worth it for you? What? What do you want? Oh, don't talk like that. You'll just get yourself in more trouble. >> Hey, knock it off. You going to let me out or not? >> As it turns out, even when your uncle is a police officer, you still face the consequences for your actions. But she found that out the hard way when she was charged with criminal damage to property, assault on a peace officer, battery on a peace officer, and domestic battery. But this boyfriend beater thought she wasn't arrestable. [music] >> Stop. >> Wait, stop. >> OH, WAIT. STOP. WHAT? GET AWAY FROM ME. Don't >> Don't touch the car. >> Back on March 1st, 2023, police in Ohio received an urgent call from a man stating that his wife destroyed his car over a minor argument. But when cops arrived on the scene, nothing could have prepared them for how serious the situation was about to get. >> She's flipping out again today. So, I'm trying to leave. She wants me to take her to Walgreens to get a glucose monitor. I said, "You had to have a prescription for today. Turn this way so she can't hear. I'm sorry." She climbed up on top of the car again, beat the car. So, this is that's the hood. She just did all this just now. The hood kicked the side of it up on the roof. Dents all over the back of it. trunks, beating it with her phone. I've got video of her on top of it. She wouldn't let me leave. I want to go to work. >> Hanging on top of it. Said, you know, take me to Walgreens. Refuses to get off unless I take her to Walgreens. Threw her cereal on the car. She make any comments about self or anything like that? >> No. She said she wanted to kill me. >> The second those words left his mouth, officers knew this situation was anything but a joke. But before the officers could inquire further, the man whips out his phone and shows them this. >> What she say? I'm going to have your head on a platter. So what I'm doing right now, if I can leave, I'm going to file protective order. >> Cuz you have one for the kids. >> I've got one for the kids. I'm adding myself. >> Here it is. >> I'm going to have your head. >> Were you in fear for your safety at that time? Uh well, when she was on the car in Poland, you know. >> Okay. So, you weren't in fear for your safety reference. >> Not at that point because I was in the garage and she was standing out here at night. I'm afraid for my life. Um I spend the whole time in the basement. So, that's at this point that's why I'm going to add myself to the protective order. While the man showed officers the evidence on his phone, backup officers got a mouthful of Mindy's yap session while Mindy had no idea she was digging her own grave with every [music] single sentence. >> So, did it get physical today? >> I don't remember. >> You don't remember? >> Yeah, kind of did because then he comes at me and I'm going to face up if he comes at me. >> It kind of did. Can you explain? because it hit the car and then he came at me and then I tried to get the phone out of my face because I can't have someone badgering me trying to record me all the damn time. He's already done that. This is all he does is watch that. The wife can't have a relationship when you just watch the damn >> Do you know why he was recording you or anything? >> Yeah, because I'm acting up. I know why he's recording me. Like I'm on top of the car. I want to go to the store, sir. That's it. >> Did you rip out a camera or something? >> He keeps putting his stuff up there. He keeps wanting places to record me and I'm tired of that. I'm going to take it down every time. I don't need no damn camera mic. I don't need nothing. I'm going to take the locks off the door. I'm afraid of him. >> The moment Mindy realizes that she snitched on [music] herself, she scrambled to flip the script and play the victim. But officers aren't buying a single word, which sent Mindy on an absolute rampage. When I got home from the hospital, he put his hands in here on me to get me. Then he walked away and said, "I'm calling the cops to get a protection order on you." I said, "Mother, you just put your hands in here on me." >> So, where were you guys at when he was recording you? >> Out here. >> Where at out here? >> I don't know. I tried to bring it all out here so everybody can see my questions. Anything I ask him, I try to open my door. I want to open my door so people can hear how many times I have to ask him and how much I have to beg and how long I have to wait. >> Okay. So, when he was recording you, what exactly were you doing? >> I don't know. yelling at him and get that phone out of my face. >> And then what did you do? >> Smack that out. >> Did you? >> I don't want to come at him. I don't want to hurt him. >> Did you hit him? >> No. If he comes at me, I'm going to smack you out of the way. >> Did he hit you? >> Not that I remember or know. >> Did he make any threats to you? >> Not that I remember or know of except >> Did you make any threats to him? >> No. >> I'll hit you if you don't get out of my way or get away from me. >> Yeah. >> What were her words again? >> That she's going to have my head on a platter or something along those lines. >> What did What did you interpret that as? Well, I think she wants to try to kill me, honestly. Okay. Like I said, I've removed all weapons and everything from the house for my protection. >> Did you perceive that as a threat to you? >> It sound like a threat to me. >> I want a lawyer. I want to sue him for mental, physical, and emotional abuse. I want to file calm down. >> He tells me my kids don't want nothing to do with me. He's ran his mouth to my kids why I'm a surviving woman after surgery. He didn't help bring me up. He didn't even hardly bring me food in the room when I was on my deathbed. This man right here is disgusting. >> When Mindy saw the officers were acting like rational adults, she took it as a personal challenge and proceeded to do the unthinkable. >> Go ahead. Turn around. Put your hands on the car for me. Okay. >> No. Why? Tell me why. >> You're under arrest for messing around. Turn around. For what? TURN AROUND. >> PUT your hands behind your back. Put your hands BEHIND YOUR BACK. OW, YOU'RE HURTING ME. Don't hurt me. Please don't hurt me. Please. I don't want to bite you. Don't hurt me. >> I bite you, sir. I love you. >> Stand up. >> Hurting. >> Spit the grass out. >> Why? I don't want to. >> Why did you eat grass? >> Because my husband's [ __ ] with me. >> Are you going to spit it out or do you want to leave it in your mouth? >> I don't want to leave it. >> Okay. >> No, I want you to take it out. That's it. >> As if one Mindy wasn't enough of a headache, her mother and sister pull up and it becomes painfully obvious why she is the way she is. >> She played right into his hands because she's an addict. He's got her on opioids and had her on opioids and we didn't even know about it for like he didn't even tell us until like a year and a half ago. He hid her addiction so he could control her because she wants a divorce from him and he was not going to let her go. And I'll tell you something else, too. I know he's got an insurance policy on her, too. He's waiting for her to her to die. And I'll tell you something else, too. He don't want us on this property cuz he's got a little black box in the woods that he keeps on a leash and he pulls it out at night all the freaking time cuz he's drugging her with something. >> Both his nurses, both of his parents are nurses, psychiatric nurses. He's not a stupid man. He's been in the Air Force. He knows what he's doing. He's manipulating the system so that he can destroy her. That's what he's doing. >> If there was an award for the worst rescue attempt, these two just won gold because instead of bailing Mindy out, they helped lock in her charges. Domestic violence and resisting arrest.
