After multiple commands and several chances to cooperate, the deputy orders him out of the vehicle. As the deputy tries to gain control, both men end up on the ground struggling. During the fight, the deputy deploys his taser, but Beick continues resisting. What started as an argument over a speeding stop has now [music] become a fight on the side of the road. >> I didn't do nothing, man. Come on. Please don't do it. Look at me. That hurt. >> Forget your hat. Ow. Okay. What do you think? >> Get in the car. [ __ ] >> God damn it. 277. Heavy, heavy messing rod. I think I broke my wrist. >> Now the danger level jumps. During the struggle, the deputy attempts to use his taser, but investigators say Bile slaps it out of his hand. Then, while the deputy is trying to recover it, BC allegedly reaches for the deputy's firearm. Fortunately, the holster lock prevents him from getting the weapon. Investigators also noted that Buick was already on probation at the time of the incident for a prior drugrelated offense. Had that lock failed, this encounter could have ended very differently. Does anybody else want to fight? >> No, sir. >> Get out of the car. >> Turn and face the car. Hands behind your back. >> Cal down. >> That's fine. >> All right. Stay on the phone. >> Have a seat. Just sit up. All the way on your butt. >> You're not under arrest. You can leave your phone on. >> I got I got a miss from me. >> That's fine. I'm not worried about it right now, man. Okay. He got He got >> I got to risk my >> All right. I'm going to put you in my car then. Okay. >> Can you just let the tailgate down? >> No. Ow. >> Go ahead and spit your uh spit your cigarette out for me. Okay. [panting] >> Have a seat right there for me. Okay. The deputy moves him into the patrol vehicle and then begin speaking with the other passengers to sort out exactly what happened during the struggle. By the end of the encounter, the deputy has suffered a large contusion to his forearm that requires hospital evaluation. All of it stemmed from what began as a simple speeding stop. >> Where's your ID? >> Where's your Which pocket? >> Can you reach it? >> No, sir. These handcuffs are really tight. >> What's his name? >> Um, the driver. >> Yeah, the dude that I fought with. >> Um, Ryan. >> Ryan what? >> Um, I'm not sure. I know. Just Ryan. >> How do you know him? >> Uh, he's a friend of m. So, I've got three people in a car who have absolutely no idea who who the other is. >> That's just a drink packet, sir. >> I That's It's I'm not worried about it right now. >> And my aunt is on the phone. The owner. >> That's fine. I don't care. >> Here. Put your hands together for me. I'm going to put them in the front. Okay. >> You'll get all the paperwork. Stop talking. Stop talking. Stop talking. >> Stop talking. All this and you were just going to get a warning for speed. >> I don't want the >> I don't care what you were thinking. This radar is certified in the state of Florida. It says you're doing 54 in a 35 miles per hour zone. >> What is your name? Fine. Whatever. Okay. >> That's fine. Ryan Scott Benjamin Beelik 24 was arrested and charged with resisting an officer, obstructing police, attempted deprivation of a weapon, violation of probation, possession of meth. So, what do you think? Did this situation become dangerous when the struggle started or when investigators say BC attempted to grab the deputy's firearm? Let me know in the comments.
