It looks like he either goes in the garage or just hangs out by the door that goes into the garage. >> And then we see him walk back by the shed and we never see him leave. So, like I was going to go take a peek around the bushes and stuff, but I'm like, >> the only thing is I saw your shed doors closed down. Is it is your full fence even back there? >> Fenced. Yeah. You got the big privacy fence in the back. >> Before officers even locate the suspect, they speak with the homeowner who can only tell them that someone was seen entering the backyard. There's no clear indication of where he went or whether he's still on the property. Officers start searching, but what they discover next is terrifying. Hey, stop. Let me see your hands. Back up. >> 9443. Hold the air. Give me another officer. >> No. No. No. >> Relax. >> Relax. Stop. Stop right now. >> Stop. Stop. I'm going tase you. Stop. Drop it. Drop it. Drop it. >> Drop it. He's holding a large metal spike in a piece of wood, and instead of backing down, he starts moving toward the officers. Officers deploy their tasers, but even that doesn't immediately stop Mahia. He pulls the probes out and continues resisting. >> Let me see your hands. >> Get inside. Get inside. Stop. I don't wash you. Stop. >> No. No. No. No. >> Stop. >> Let me see your hands. >> Stop. >> No. No. Shut up. >> 943. It's a large metal pipe. I have a gun point in the backyard. Okay, >> now the situation takes another turn. Majia throws a brick, striking one of the officers in the chest before grabbing the spike and wood again. Officers draw their firearms and order him to drop the weapons, making it clear that the next few seconds could determine how this encounter ends. How many times you shoot? >> Um, shot twice. >> Okay. Yeah, I got three of them. I got three probes. So, I need >> He just He says he just got so much just keep saying you guys were going to bury him alive. Okay. Around here, I appreciate you guys coming out. >> And then when you were following the officer back there, >> I went and met the officer out front, told him what we had seen. And I just said, you know, obviously we have a lot of landscaping someone could hide behind, I said, so if you could just take a look. So he's like, yeah, no problem. And then literally we walked down the sidewalk into the yard and as soon as we got like right just in front of the shed and then around the corner the guy just came running out with the piece of wood from the we have a stack wood for the fire pit and in one hand and then the you know the fence post in the other hand and he was like yelling he charged the officers. >> Yeah. He didn't tase him right away. He said hey I'm going to tase >> I'm going to tase you. But the guy speaks the guy's obviously speaking Spanish. The officer is speaking English. So I mean I don't know if he understood Taz, but like he was he was very clearly attacking somebody. So yeah, that wasn't >> okay. >> Once Mahia is finally taken into custody, officers begin sorting out exactly what happened and what they were dealing with. Investigators later learned the property after smoking crystal methamphetamine. And he admitted that he threw the brick after becoming enraged when he saw the officers. There you go. I have to keep those things. All right.
