people really think they can take on the cops what isn't surprising is when those people end up in either handcuffs or an ambulance hey chill out what happened hey hey don't chill out chill chill here are eight examples of what happens when you try to assault the police beginning with a case of 34-year-old charlanda peoples who on July the 8th of 2022 would be stopped by police for matching the description of a robbery suspect when the responding officer approached charlando in downtown Cincinnati Ohio he immediately began acting erratically down stay down stay down St hold on a second let struck him dead in the face with the metal pole that he was holding the officer realized only moments later that he was bleeding profusely from the head but he still had a violent and dangerous the right state of mind and not responding to any deescalation tactics the officers knew that going Hands-On with him wouldn't end well so they continued following him down the street until enough for which he had to undergo reconstructive surgery charlando would be charged with resisting arrest obstruction assault attempted murder and two counts each of criminal damaging robbery and felonious assault a year later he was found not guilty by reason of insanity Char Lando's conduct could have easily cost him his life much like 46-year-old Edgar de Leon who didn't live to tell the story stop stop dude what are you doing on May the 3rd of 2023 police were called to a residence in reference to an intoxicated man who was threatening his family with a gun when the officers arrived the suspect Edgar Deon remained inside the home while the officer spoke to his brother outside cor this is my dad's house they're in Mexico right now he's my brother oh he's your brother so I came over to check on him and he just since this morning he beener I mean but he's not causing harm to anybody oroke window call I don't know I I told him I mean I think he's he said going through someu yeah he said he drank a whole bottle of like an hour or so so he's probably he's probably drunk I don't know I don't if he takes drunk I think he takes like anxiety and stuff like that how dod he break that window save Edgar's life but he died on the scene shortly after the officers involved would be placed on administrative leave while it was being investigated while Edgar didn't even get the chance to assault the officers Steve menz assaulted an officer a biker and other drivers and a complete stranger before he was taken down stop 146 income he has there's a biker no he just on August the 3rd of 2023 a woman contacted police reporting that a man had taken her keys and sped off in her white SUV after getting a description of the vehicle an officer spotted the SUV a short while later driving down Highway 63 104 in my location I'm going um going to be going south on 63 we're almost to I25 if somebody can set up some spikes right there he's on the opposite lane of travel right now he is all over lie and as a result of the incident both responding officers were terminated a year later thankfully Kenneth remained relative ly calm during the interaction but when a suspect becomes violent an encounter can quickly turn into a fight to the death get off my gun get off my gun on May the 11th of 2023 police were alerted to a stolen U-Haul truck that was picked up by a license plate camera on Richmond Highway a short while later an officer spotted Ed the stolen truck pulling into a gas station and followed in behind [Music] it Hey sir driving to U-Haul yeah yeah can you talk to me real quick over here right we're going go man what did I do I said what did I do all right this right here all right right being detained okay report this report stolen why since when you're not in a struggle with Brandon but was not shot by his fellow officers he would be patched up and cleared from the hospital shortly after that's a hard lesson to learn and 30-year-old Alonzo pige is about to learn his own lesson about lunging at officers I get on the ground you're under arrest hey do not do not do that [ __ ] stop quit quit I'm right here do not swing at me on May the 18th of 2023 police responded to a report of a homeless man who had threatened and spat at a security guard in Spokane Washington while responding to that call police received another call from a few blocks away reporting the same man for assaulting several people officers quickly arrived at the scene and confronted the suspect identified as Alonzo pige once that one I'm with him East down on second approaching division hey get on the ground now on the ground I already talked to on the ground now why on the ground because right now you're being detained get on the ground or you will be I to them Alonzo's head the cell phone camera footage seen in the corner of the screen quickly became the source of much controversy as it appears that the officer is using unnecessary Force but what the cell phone footage didn't capture was Alonzo threatening the officer and resisting detainment prompting the officer to react knock it off hand on your back hand on your [Music] back slow it down one Johnny
