regretted it meet 33-year-old Joshua kavod who on June the 29th of 2022 was reported to police for stabbing someone at the local Steward shop two off officers responded and found Joshua outside of the store acting strangely and making threatening statements what's up me trust my poet okay where's uh where's the knife I can't give you okay I need you to take it out of your pocket and give it to me right now sir I need you to take the knife out of your pocket it's not proper sir I need you to take the knife out of your pocket yes no within moments of Joshua charging at the primary officer with the knife her backup officer fired two rounds into him dropping him to the ground and once the shock and adrenaline wore off the officers immediately sprang into action and rendered Medical Aid to the suspect I need somebody's shirt somebody can somebody give me their shirt please where did you hit him a in the chest sir despite their efforts and efforts of medical staff Joshua was later pronounced dead at the hospital this next suspect is extremely lucky he didn't end up the same way after stabbing an officer in the neck come on I'm going to put you in handc for now okay God on October the 11th of 2020 officers were called to a residence to assist Grace Point medical staff with the involuntary mental evaluation of 21-year-old Nicholas Ferguson officers arrived and supervised the process which was going smoothly that is until Nicholas was informed that he was going to be Baker acted or involuntarily admitted into a hospital for a more thorough evaluation in response Nicholas hightailed it out of the house and led an officer on a foot pursuit that ended in a wooded area why are you running dude 231 are you scared yeah look running is not gonna help all right one I run a lot okay on side Char I'm here with him hold on look we're going to walk back okay okay now the thing of it is you're still not in trouble but obviously I can't trust you not to run anywhere all right so come on come on I'm going to put you in handc for now okay okay as Deputy Charles Williams attempted to take Nicolas into custody the suspect suddenly produced a knife from his pocket and stabbed the deputy in the side of the neck Nicholas then attempted to flee on foot once again but Deputy Williams stayed hot on his heels he shot he's got a knife hey stop stop stop it stop stop right now I Nicholas on the other hand was taken into custody and booked into jail on charges of attempted felony murder of a police officer and resisting an officer without violence this next suspect also thought that he could escape the law by knifing an officer in the face and quickly learned otherwise drop it on January the 9th of 2022 police responded to genese Street for reports of a man with a gun when officers got to the scene and approached the suspect 23-year-old Orlando Taylor III he immediately be began fleeing on foot drop it drop it drop it drop it [Music] oh you all right during the pursuit Orlando lunged at officer Ariel Falon with a knife and stabbed him in the face before running away however when he realized the officers weren't going to give up Chase he then turned around the face them head on [ __ ] y I got stabbed in start us another car running towards Liberty start a seven drop the weapon drop the weapon drop it drop the weapon drop it drop the weapon drop it drop the weapon drop it shot fired shots fire Orlando would be pronounced dead at the scene while the officer was transported to the hospital hospital and treated for his Stab Wound but if you thought that officer was caught off guard that's nothing compared to the next suspect who ambushed a group of officers right at his front door hey what up let me see your hand let me see your hand on August the 23rd of 20124 police responded to a residence where a man had reportedly assaulted his father and threatened to kill him upon arrival the suspect 32-year-old William Frick answered the door wielding two knives hey's up let me see your hands let me see your hands you what the he's got yeah drop the knife drop the knife yeah drop the KN drop the knif this drop the KN drop the knife I'm going to spray you drop the I don't give a what you do pie of better kill me now what else you got on you now what else you got on you now get piece of stomach stomach now I can do anything you get on your he he punched me in the face after being dragged from the porch and placed under arrest William was transported to the hospital with minor injuries along with a few other officers and upon release he was booked into the local jail on charges of second degree threatening attempted first deegree assault third degree assault on an elderly victim disorderly conduct assault on a police officer two counts of carrying a dangerous weapon and one count of payment card theft since he'd also stolen an ATM card from the victim despite his unpredictable Behavior he didn't put officers in as much danger as this next suspect who chased the police around her home with a knife KN KN knif on April the 29th of 2022 34-year-old Jamie FEI contacted police stating that she and her boyfriend were in the midst of an altercation because he was allegedly being unfaithful and wouldn't show her his phone moreover the altercation was transpiring right in front of their children when officers arrived and spoke to the parties they learned that jimie was actually the aggressor in the altercation and when she became combative with them the officers attempted to take her into custody but she clearly did not plan officer escaped the ordeal unharmed however Jamie was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived subsequent interviews with her family revealed that she'd struggled with her mental health for nearly 20 years and that her relationship was on the brink of collapse because of it but if Jim's case was that of a mental breakdown I don't really know what the call this next incident 3236 he's got a KN on April the 24th of 2021 an officer on patrol ran the license plate of a white BMW to find that the plates were registered to a 1998 Chevy at which point the officer initiates a traffic stop and the driver pulls over without any incident the driver was cooperative threw out and didn't cause any issues at all the passenger however decided it would be a great idea to suddenly hop out of the car and begin running running around with two butcher knives hey stay in the car drop the knife give me the air uh Clarksville Pike 3236 he's got a knife get out of the car get out of the car drop the knife immediately requested and arrived to transport the victim to the hospital but he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving if you think jacking a patrol car is insane you have to see this next erratic suspect who set a victim's car on fire instead on March the 9th of 2021 26-year-old Brian Beach Set Fire To His now ex-girlfriend's car following an argument and two days later officers caught up to him and tried to question him about the events of the day but in the middle of the conversation he turned heel and hauled ass down the street he's he's armed with a knife suicide by cop what's the address armed with a knife what I'm going taser what is it behind three Maple Court he's cutting his throat stop man stop please stop stop stop he's trying to come tell tase him tase him stop stop us stop [Music] stop he threw it he threw it over here I've got him I got him here we're getting a med kit coming man just breathe get the med kit an ambulance arrived a short time later and transported Brian to the hospital where he successfully was treated for multiple gunshot wounds upon his release he was booked into jail on charges of arson fleeing or evading resisting arrest third deegree assault and attempted murder of a police officer however he took a plea deal and was only given probation for his crimes at least we can say that he didn't cause as much damage as the next suspect who chopped up half of his family before being apprehended by police trying to go on December the 3rd of 2023 officers responded to a home on beach 22nd Street where a man had reportedly stabbed multiple people and when they arrived at the reported residence they witnessed 38-year-old Courtney Gordon walking down the driveway with what appeared to be luggage police I don't know huh I don't know I don't know you tell me I don't know you live here yeah where you live trying to go somewhere Courtney had managed to slice both officers before being shot down and was pronounced dead later at the hospital but the real shock would come from what the officers found inside of the reported residence as it turned out Courtney had brutally attacked seven family members with a knife leaving an 11-year-old 12-year-old 34-year-old and 44-year-old dead and an elderly woman in critical condition and ultimately none of them could say that the attack was completely unexpected but the next officer could never have predicted that he'd walk away from this next case with a stab wound to the head do me a favor put your hands your back okay on August the 25th of 2023 25-year-old Sandra Lopez AOA and her brother contacted the police separately both alleging that they were being attacked by the other police arrived and after a brief conversation with both complaintants the officers determined that Sandra was the primary aggressor and that she would be placed under arrest but when they went to do so she responded with deadly force can I like tell my part that's what I was going to ask you about oh okay um so it it was just really him not like touch your G or something keep actually on his holster it's something that we do it's nothing it's not like no I'm asking you I'm going keep it here I'm just resting my hand I'm not holding my gun it's not even on the gun I'm just holding on give me a favor put your hands [Music] back hey are you good yeah Sandra had managed to grab a steak knife on off the couch and stabed one of the officers in the top of the head before his partner struck her multiple times with gunfire and she was pronounced dead soon after the injured officer was taken to the hospital and treated for a deep laceration to the head and interviews with a family later revealed that Sandra had no history of Mental Illness but we can't say the same for the next suspect who was suffering an intense psychotic episode when the officers arrived no you can hear these people and I hear them too I understand you hear them and I do not hear them I'm sorry on October the 13th of 2022 a mother contacted police reporting that her 29-year-old son Tyler Patrick was being delusional yelling and banging on Windows but when officers arrived and confronted Tyler he claimed that he wasn't the problem but rather that there were Intruders in his home hi Tyler what's going on I see the other hand all right m's on what you what's going on today am I feeling it are you off your meds we've talked before remember you recognize me no no not at all you used to have braid didn't you no yeah you used to have yeah went braid what's going on today here you sit down want sit down you want me to talk to Mom I mean I'm going uh put it in L terms uh what you about to take me to jail for something I'm not taking any to jail at all what's up I'm I'm just trying to figure out why are we here um um um um I don't know what to say yeah you do I mean something's wrong I can tell I can look in your face and tell you something's wrong it is I know at the same time it's not what you think either are you feeling like homicidal suicidal I don't know how I'm feeling on right now okay well that's why I'm here to talk to you please cuz I don't know what she just called you for and I ain't really do nothing to her do you want me to ask Mom what's going on mom she saying I I don't know he's delusional okay he's delusional and you have a history of that no no no got some like little home invasion and stuff going on they probably quiet and you can't hear them all the way you think there's someone in the house I mean they quiet right now yes there somebody in the officers had offered to step inside and check the home for intruders to which Patrick agreed once they were there Tyler only seemed to become more agitated which led to a tense argument about his mental health conditions call the call vs could hear you saying I'm not playing it's a home invasion in here you were going to don't play like I'm not going to kill all of you I'm not okay and I'm seriously not so you are feeling a little homicidal a little bit I'm telling you it's a home invasion well if you sit down I'll go look in the Attic if you want me to I mean I'll check with you can go medication so so you don't hear those people talking on the side I've been here with social workers before you don't hear that um you're hearing things that aren't here I hate to tell you that I don't Grand View or May Valley I going out like that you got to get help honey you need help you can't stay in this house with me the best help you can do is pay attention to what I'm hearing too cuz ain't hear them and I do not hear them I'm sorry I dude I don't want to hear them Tyler continued to refuse psychiatric treatment but since the state of Ohio allows for the involuntary hospitalization of mentally ill persons he wasn't going to have a choice in the matter so can we go to the hospital they can you can talk to them if they don't think that anything's wrong or anything then they're going to let you out okay I'm not going to a hospital if you can hear people talking and you can hear them outside I can't hear them dude I can't hear them okay then well we got to take you brother okay you need help Tyler I can't do it no more how long you been living here with your mom it be a year in December go the same way remember how you talked about your head how can you not I mean you look in neck the following year Tyler pleaded guilty to four counts of fonus assault one count of obstruction and one count of resisting and as a result he was sentenced to 8 to 12 years in prison if you
