we learned from a young age that calling 911 is only reserved for emergencies but what happens when tricksters think they can prank call the police and report that somebody was at Walmart the call that came to us was that he was screaming pledging his allegiance to Isis and waving his phones around that's a very big different picture than I'm not going down the elevator here are seven times what prank calling 911 went horribly wrong beginning with the case of 16-year-old Ian who on September 15th of 2023 was apprehended at a local Wawa after issuing a fake bomb threat when police got there the suspect was nowhere to be found but a man claiming to be Ian's friend spoke to the officer okay so tell them the come over here what direction did he go towards like yeah he went that way so he went South on on Canon yes sir okay is it a newer Jeep older Jeep uh it's an old Jeep okay why did he say that I'm not sure he was just trying to be funny how old is he oh he's 16 16 okay what did something funny and then he just he did out he said he didn't say bomb he said bong but still still I just want to leten you because he's being a idiot where is he at he's in my car you're not under arrest you're just being detained yeah you're just being entertained right now okay honestly I'll just tell you my friend's a idiot he lives in Tampa and he basically thought it would be funny to say oh we have a bomb not a bomb a bomb uh and we're outside in a reged Jeep and out in inside of store no he called and said CU our friend was in a red Jeep and he said something literally called wa and said that we're just sitting in called the called The W we're like dude what the he he ran because he's not trying to like he's not trying to get shot I'm so sorry about it was it was him yeah I I didn't know what he told you when I got out of the car we're just like we're just like bro go talking in a country accent but it was probably fake and he was like it sounds fake yeah the O sounds fake like a bomb or a bomb think know after getting accounts from each of the witnesses the officer went to speak with the suspect about what the hell he was thinking and his answer he was just kidding did to a juvenile detention center and charged with giving a false ID to police and making a false bomb threat and we're only getting started this next insane caller falsely reported a hostage situation at a McDonald's while waiting for a job interview why would I call Y and Dy myself on April the 7th of 2023 dispatch received a call from a woman claiming that she and five other other people were being held at gunpoint inside of McDonald's the suspect was reportedly angry that his order was incorrect and was threatening to shoot everyone minutes later an officer responded to the McDonald's and entered the restaurant to find everything inside was completely [Applause] normal hey [Music] you got you going slow everybody down anybody in the bathroom [Music] got looking for did y'all have a disturbance here of any kind like somebody threatening with a gun messed up we don't know we're trying to figure that out we just got we got this McDonald's but we're trying to make sure it's the right one for not this one get a good location but it was that McDonald's unbeknownst to the officers an 18-year-old named Tiara Everett actually had made the fake 911 call and she was still inside the restaurant waiting to be called up for a job interview they have somebody public service with her in the restaurant wow I don't know I need to know which one to go what's your [Music] name stage keep m hey how you doing okay all right so this number that I'm calling from is this the number that called in reference to that uh hostage at uh McDonald yes sir it is it's the same number yes sir it is well let this that one know we got the person who made the call you you you have the person that made the call well this is her phone okay so you have her phone but do you have her yes she's here I got the phone from her so this is the phone this the number right here that came from that uh came from that call that made the original calls yes sir it is well thank you do you have or anything well we fin do something to after using Tiara's phone to verify she had made the call the Officers promptly went over to confront her you got some ID on your ma you got some ID on yeah I got my ID it what you want right what is it me yeah a little bit a little bit or a lot of bit yeah look what you talking about huh I just got here for interview I know I a go for no I'm not doing and then you call y'all and describe myself that's stupid you let anybody use your phone don't nobody use my phone yeah she got anything came back here that Ain me come back on that huh it a me why would I call Y and would just set their phone down and go to the bathroom the officers were equally skeptical about her story so they checked the surveillance cameras to verify I left everything right here I take my bathroom left there on the table that's crazy so there she sit still her purse is she she's real calm she yeah now she's a little shaky but you can see her s there the whole time that's why I got this I haven't seen going to move you up and we're back at 1649 so she's lying to yall she say she move do you have to make reservation and uh come for the interview mm so she was supposed to be here for but we know why this next suspect made her false report in order to distract officers from her own arrest she's on the phone when I saw her back here on December the 2nd of 2022 police made their way to a residence looking for a couple each with two warrants for their arrest 34-year-old Kaylee William schaer and Justin garbett when police arrived they could see Kaylee inside the house talking on the phone phone but she wouldn't answer the door meanwhile dispatch received another 911 call 911 what's the location of your emergency um I just had a call from my daughter she's at a Walmart and tell us she said there's someone in there with a gun okay and what's he doing with the gun she doesn't know she freaked out in the bathroom lock the door did she get a description of him um he said he a white guy short blonde hair black pants okay and how did she know how did she see that I don't know I don't know she just called me okay hold on hold on one second okay and how did you describe him so why did our Dispatch Center receive a 911 call stating that she received a phone call from her daughter who was at Tomo Walmart and said that there was a man that walked into Walmart with a gun I calling you I was wondering who the number was yeah that's the number that called because you called from this number why did you call 911 and report that somebody was at Walmart with a gun well I was told that but I was in a hurry I I didn't even do it I to be honest with you I've had had about 5 minutes of a blackout since you guys have been here and remember nothing okay so back up let's back up to when we when we knocked on the door and make contact with you here you the police were here and we were going to come in to arrest you yep I was on the phone with Justin why did you call 911 and report that your daughter called you to report that there was a man at the Toma Walmart with a gun how because I was panicking okay do you know that that's a crime and that's called swatting no I did sorry I don't even know I'm more concerned with the fact that you called 911 to report that somebody was at Walmart with a gun as the officers continued to grill the suspect about her actions her excuses became more and more weird and convoluted at one point they checked her call log and it showed that she had called her boyfriend while the officers were outside that elicits one a large amount of resources to respond to a place two it's a false police report okay yes you're inciting Panic yes okay and three it's a crime I'm sorry I didn't I don't even remember doing it I don't even remember I'm sorry I I wish I could tell you I remember doing it and I don't so you don't remember dialing 911 and then talking to a dis I have it on my call log okay it was not even a full minute okay that was a pretty short conversation according to my dispatcher and then my aunt called me this is my boyfriend is that Justin yeah okay so at 1:25 you talk for 4 minutes yep okay so go back and then at 1:30 so 5 minutes later full 5 minutes soon I got off the phone as soon as you got off the phone you made a one minute phone call to him is Justin in the garage no Justin's not here positive cuz I'm positive his gave us permission to check the property he can check the garage he's not here during the investigation the officers noticed that Kaylee kept peeking out the window at the shed in the backyard leading them to request a search the suspect's grandmother gave the officers permission and they made their way to the backyard yeah I was watching that call on the way over too that back this next suspect who thought that she could use the emergency hotline for her own personal problems you're helping people to get children out out there and help them on April the 2nd of 2023 a woman who had a history of abusing Emergency Services called 911 concerning problems she was having with a cleaning service the sergeant immediately informed her that her issue was not an emergency and ended the call in response she began calling back every few minutes to yell profanities and accusations that their Sergeant was faking his identity she was warned several times to stop calling and elevator on July the 26th of 2022 officers received a call from a comfort in concerning a female guest who was repeatedly calling police dispatch on the hotel front desk screaming and making threats she also made several claims that she had weapons with her and that she was going to fight someone the suspect was later identified as 42-year-old April ail Garcia got it April what is going on I keep I'm I keep hearing things can we come in and I can't call I can't call out okay and this is what's been happening all day why why are you saying that you have weapons do you have weapons because I have cuz I'm scared I keep hearing stuff I I can't call 911 911 calls are going through they've had multiple I don't feel safe okay what has changed since we were last year oh no I just got these bad past 2 and a half hours prank and said that he was about to kill me listen to me someone called the 911 Center and said with your name that you wanted to hurt your family and hurt yourself so we came Darren was just as guilty of his share of questionable Behavior regardless the report was determined to be false and Darren was released and escorted back to his home the officers parted way with the
