12 is third here. Hit hit hit hit. Rolled over. He's got a gun. He's got a gun. >> November 14th, 2025, [music] 12:56 p.m., Detroit, Michigan. A string of a dozen shootings over roughly a week have Detroit residents on edge. Detroit police [music] and ATF believe a single man, Terrence Davis, is responsible for them all. Police say he has shot into a dozen homes and vehicles over the last week. A Detroit Police Department helicopter watches overhead as a joint Detroit Police, Michigan State [music] Police, and ATF team move to take Davis into custody. As officers approach, Davis flees the scene and a chaotic chase through the streets of Detroit begins. >> He's running in the car, guys. Yes, one's in the car. I'll call it out. >> Initially, police elect not to follow Davis, instead having the helicopter monitor the situation from above. >> No DPD units show. [ __ ] the area. Call it out. Do not engage in the pursuit. >> Immediately after fleeing the scene, Davis stops in front of this [music] building. As he sits in his idling car, helicopter units spot a man in a black jacket and a red hoodie approach the vehicle. >> Somebody's coming up to the car, black male. Black jacket, red hoodie inside of it. Looks like he came up to the car, grabbed something, and went inside. He's back on the move now. >> The officer in the helicopter says it looks as though Davis hands something off, but from our investigation, [music] it looks as though the individual hands something to Davis. What they exchanged is still unknown to police and ATF. If you think you know, let us know in the comments. After narrowly escaping police at his first stop, Davis makes a second stop [music] at a liquor store and appears to meet with another individual who looks as though he also hands something to Davis. >> He's pulling into the liquor store parking lot. He's parked. He's still in the vehicle right now. You got a guy coming up to the to the car. He just handed off something to another black male wearing a blue coat. And now he's backed away again on the liberal side. He handed something off to that gentleman. >> It's difficult to tell for [music] certain, but it again appears as though an individual approaches the vehicle, reaches out, and hands something to Davis. The contents of this second exchange are also unknown to police and ATF. If you have any guesses, let us know in the comments. Now, back on the move, Davis pulls into a gas station and attempts to carjack a man pumping gas. Luckily, the man is able to escape the situation and Davis pulls off. But just moments later, with officers just behind him, Davis stops a man on the street and orders him out of his vehicle at gunpoint. >> All right, he's blocked in. He's out on foot. He's running. Nope, he's uh jumped into another vehicle. He's in another vehicle right now. Nope. All right, he just carjacked somebody. Yeah. All right, so we're in a new vehicle. It's going to be a uh blue Looks like a Chevy Tahoe. >> Here in slow motion, you can see Davis reaching out the driver's [music] side window and firing at police as multiple units now actively pursue him. With Davis heading towards [music] the downtown area, officers have decided they've seen enough. And when Davis turns off the main road, they take their opportunity to end the chase >> [music] >> and attempt to pit maneuver. >> If you could, keep this track clear. Return They just pitted him. Roll over, Martin Luther King. Roll over, Martin Luther King. >> Here it is again, from the dashcam of the lead vehicle. And once more, from the dash cam of the trailing vehicle. >> He's got a gun. He's got a gun. >> As Davis flees on foot, [music] officers begin to close in on him and he's quickly running out of options. >> He's out on foot. West bound, Martin Luther King. >> After fleeing the flipped SUV, Davis refused commands to drop his weapon and turned toward Detroit police officers, [music] prompting them to open fire. >> Shots fired. Shots fired. Shots fired. Suspect down. Suspect down. Roll EMS. Martin Luther King Boulevard and Cass Drive. Suspect is down. Roll EMS. >> Davis was struck multiple times and was transported to a local Detroit hospital in critical condition. He ultimately survived his injuries and when stabilized was released directly into federal custody. A federal grand jury indicted Davis on several felonies. He is currently facing carjacking, assault, and attempted murder of a federal officer and various weapons offenses, including being a felon in possession of a firearm. He faces a total combined sentence of life in prison if convicted on all charges. What do you think? As a juror, would you sentence Davis to prison for life? What was handed to him by the two unidentified individuals? Let us know what you think in the comments and thank you for watching this episode of Justice in America. Stay safe.
