been having some calls with him and some
other things I wanted to uh see about
getting Publix their cart back but he
decided to take it another way he darn
near consider committed assault he
stepped towards me he did commit I saw

now he did this when I pulled my Taser
cuz I taser displayed first to make sure
you know mainly for Carlo's safety since
Carlo uh you know trying to not get
Carlo to have to jump in you know I
think very so I saw I was over here I'm
going to go back and watch my body
camera yeah I think he stepped towards
me and you saw it as well would you be
willing to give me an affidavit I know
that's not what you thought you would do

and we've been getting some calls over
the last few weeks about people yelling

identify him I have reasonable
suspicions he's in possession I saw him
with the shopping cart he he left the
shopping cart to come to the beach and
it's clearly I confirmed I confirmed I
had the green but then I confirmed the
logo before I made contact with him I
actually made a consensual encounter at
first but then asked for his ID
exploitive exploitive he actually
stepped toward me like he was going to
do something and that's when I asked
Carlo to stand back about 20 ft and
being that I had her ride along I went
taser display bald up fist and
everything he had bald up fists took a
step towards me uh I went taser display
but then I was only I was this close to
him about me to Carlo I thought a taser
would be excessive so I put it back in
and went hands on with no uh but after I
went taser on he took another step
towards me I grabbed him and then there
was no no no resisting after that I saw
when he went like this cuz I was over
here all right I saw the other Beach
comers coming and going he has no
injuries like I said it was just uh it
was just a

this suspect was charged with simple
assault resisting and possession of
stolen property the officer still has
his job and hasn't lost even one single
thing since the incident he is innocent
until proven guilty in a court of law
officer interacts with a man he sees him
pushing a shopping cart along the beach
you don't see that every day he has
Reasonable Suspicion to stop the man and
what is reasonable suspicion right it is
facts and circumstances that would lead
one to believe that a crime has been
committed or is being committed the man
admits to having the shopping cart and
tells the officer that while they are
speaking you know the spontaneous
utterance right he then approaches the
officer and you know kind of hostile
kind of you know tense officer takes out
his taser the man backs up the officer
puts his taser away okay that's what
you're supposed to do it's very
important in the force continuum to go
where you're supposed to go if they are
up here we have to unfortunately go up
here if they go down here then
fortunately we can go back down here
places the man under arrest the man is
yelling and screaming but he doesn't
really do anything that would warrant
you know any physical force to be really
used get the Ride Along out of the way
so that he's safe and everything worked
out okay now this officer did a fabulous
job and everything went well and that's
what you want at the end of the day and
I would love to work with this officer
he did an amazing job all right
