On February 18th, 2025, officers with the Lawrence Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle parked in a fire lane outside a Walmart on Pendleton Pike. When the first officer arrived, the driver stepped out of his vehicle and walked directly up to the patrol car. Within moments, the interaction shifted from a routine parking issue to a physical confrontation. All captured on body camera. >> Say what? >> I don't know why. However, after reviewing the incident, the Marian County Prosecutor's Office declined to file charges. Following the release of the bodywn camera footage, the two officers involved were placed on administrative leave pending an internal review. As of the latest public reports, no disciplinary action has been announced. Court records show William is currently facing additional pending cases. We'll continue to monitor any developments.
