[Music] What's uh around 12:30 a.m. on November 22nd, 2024, officers with the Hoboken Police Department were dispatched to the vicinity of Seventh Street and Clinton Street on report of a possibly intoxicated female who had fled the scene of a car crash. Sergeant Sodto, his patrol car and contact with the driver on Seventh Street and she was identified as Olivia Regina. She was asked to exit the vehicle and the officers immediately observed indicators of impairment. It would later be determined that Olivia's 2009 Honda Civic struck a 2024 Subaru Outback. All right. involved officer Ricky Trupner escorted Olivia over to the sidewalk and asked her to perform field sobriety exercises. He started with the horizontal gaze nestagmas HGN test. During the HGN test, Officer Trupner observed the lack of smooth pursuit, distinct and sustained nestagmas at maximum deviation and the onset of nestagmas prior to 45°. The second exercise was the walk and turn test. During the walk and turn test, Olivia did not touch heel to toe on each step while taking an incorrect number of steps. The final exercise was the one leg stand test. During the one leg stand test, Olivia failed to raise her foot in the proper fashion and put her foot down before the test was complete. It's at least obvious to me that you clearly are under the influence. Um, I had one drink, but like that's Okay. Olivia was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. After she was placed under arrest, the vehicle was impounded for a 12-hour hold according to John's law. After the officers were finished with their paperwork, Olivia was released to a sober adult after he signed the potential Chevy warning form in Olivia's behalf.
