You're wanted out of Georgia for murder. Keys out ignition and step out of the vehicle for me, please. Do what we're asking you to do. Relax. Spread your feet. Damn. He had a zero. This is what you were trying to do. Are you dumb? On March 21st, 2021, deputies with the Flaggler County Sheriff's Office conducted a routine traffic stop in a Waw Wa parking lot after observing a vehicle speeding. What began as a simple inquiry quickly escalated into a tense confrontation when officers detected the strong odor of marijuana and attempted to search the vehicle and its occupants. One of the passengers, later identified as 18-year-old Shaquan, began resisting commands and created a volatile situation. As officers attempted to detain him, a physical struggle broke out, resulting in shouts of, "He's reaching for a pistol." and a frantic attempt to secure control of the scene. This incident was captured entirely on body camera footage from multiple officers on scene. That's Yeah. Yeah. Do me a favor. Don't use your phone. Okay. It's an officer safety thing. One of the most dangerous things we do are traffic stops. If anything, it's probably just some stuff in a like little roaches. Okay. And that's it. Okay. Probably. Okay. All right. All right. Just real quick, bud. And like I seen the ghost in the median and like they only cut the lights on out the blue and red lights. Yeah. And so I got over a lane. Yeah. And then like I just pulled into Wawwa. As soon as I pulled up to Wawa to the tape, like stop the car and everything, that's when the lights got cut off. Okay. And then that's when she said I was speeding and said that asked if I knew the speed limit and whole just like other stuff if I ever been pulled up for a speed ticket. I told her, I know this five this Eway 100 is 55 and I know that you allowed to do at least either 527 miles over but not exceedingly, you know, that's at least what I read in the last book. But, uh, I asked her, you know, what made her just hit the light soon as I stopped cuz she she literally didn't hit him until I I stop and I Is it your car? Yeah. I opened the door and as soon as I was open door to get out, that's when she like closed the door. So I asked she said it was then she said it was a traffic stop but my confusion was why they didn't hit the lights when she see me speeding or whatever. She's going to determine where a safe spot is to pull you over. It's a lot safer to pull you over here than it would be on the side of the road. But is that your backpack in the car? Yeah, I was about to go to my uh girlfriend's house. Oh, okay. Okay. So, you just packed like an overnight bag or whatever. Has your little brother going with you? Oh, no. We were just going to get some snacks. And then you were going to take him home? Yeah. Okay. Does he own a gun? Uh, no. Not that I know. Not that you know of. Okay. So, he didn't tell you anything about the gun in his car in his waistband. You didn't know he had a gun? Has he ever been arrested before? No. No. I found a gun on him. Yeah. You ever been arrested before? Not for nothing serious. What's that? Not for nothing serious. Not like what? Last time I got it was resisting. But it was a resisting arrest. Yeah. But it just constrained resisting with violence or without violence? No. Without? Without. Okay. And now was that here? No racetrack. Okay. But he was here in the county. Yeah. Okay. But I ain't Yeah. I don't like I I don't be in a cop back in the cop car like that until I Oh, okay. But I told him Oh, did you get arrested with uh what's his name over there? Little Spanish dude. What's his name? You don't know his name? I'm saying it's a lot of Spanish. You talking about Who did you get arrested with? You said I got arrested. Okay. what you did, right? That's what you're talking about, right? What? And two other guys got arrested over there. All I know is I got arrested. I don't know who you talking about. You weren't with two other guys? I don't know. I didn't say I was You don't know? Okay. I didn't say I was with anybody. I just I got Okay. And that could have been last week, but I don't identify. Well, I told um All right. You want to play games in what? I'm not. It don't matter to me. Playing games about Wait, you I thought you were trying to talk about something else. Well, you brought that up and that's why I asked if I've been arrested before. I said correct. And that's it. That's all you asked. I said, "Yeah, that's it. You talking about something else?" Do you have a medical marijuana card or anything like that? No. Okay. Are those your blunts in the ashtray there? They're from a while ago. Okay. Anything else in the car that you know of? or whatever probably like not even like Okay. Okay. I just recently Okay. All right. Do you have any ID in the car with you, bro? Not at all. Okay. All I need to know right now is if you want to go to the hospital or not. You got cuts on your knees. Okay. [Applause] Spell your first name. Listen, you got to start talking because if you don't start cooperating, I'm going to charge you I'm going to charge you an additional charge of obstruction. Okay? What is How do you spell your first name? You've already given us enough trouble. I'm I'm trying to make this easy on you. Give me the spell your first name for me. Huh? And then and then you get the additional charge. Do you really want to make your life a little more difficult than it already is? You put yourself in a real bad spot here. There's a couple burnt roaches in the ashtray, whatever. They ask him if they have medical marijuana cards. They both say no. Ask him to step out. Justin steps out. He's very cooperative. From what I gathered, the other individual went to get out. And as soon as he got out, the fight was on. He was fighting with both of them. They're wrestling around on the ground. Lo and behold, he's got a gun in his waistband. Bill. He does. Correct. Oh, hell to the dog. So, that's where we're at right now. Um, they're they're continuing their investigation. Yeah. You're going to deal with our charges, our local charges, and then they're going to come pick you up and transport you back. We haven't figured all that out yet, but um it's going to be resisting resisting arrest for sure. Carrying a concealed weapon for sure. And if you're Are you a convicted felon? I know what you said. And if you have a firearm and you're a convicted felon, that's an additional charge. That's all I'm saying. So, I don't know about that yet. Okay.
