[Music] hey how's it going I don't know are you in front of G or behind how are you [Music] [Music] [Music] SM did you look at him no hey all these small you cut all the Ching straps or pop all the chin straps on yeah I no idea huh is that how you do it some people do little short there [Music] oh awfully [Music] close making [Music] it that one's closer than that one I mess with [Music] uh I haven't weighed those yet okay have you weighed these already that's all wa but I can you want to add that one okay that one's okay yep [Music] good uh not yet oh we can weigh them but they're going to go with me up they're looking up you know I'm St them out they look down I did that yeah we need to wait [Music] on one you one first 28 lb so thoseo G is uh 63 seized [Applause] you want I I will need one but not right now thank you so so what's what do you think the problem is there I I think maybe I just need a better better okay but I think I threw maybe I got a big snarl yesterday and okay I was just throwing some there was a big tangle I was just throwing some fish on the boat and I kind of got all messed up with the her you know so but you got a big bunch of them all at once well it was two lines two L together how many spreads are you fishing um well four l and I got like about 12 or 15 on each one okay so that's enough to make a big mess didn't lose a bunch of gear but it was like you know reset kind of right right right trying not to crash okay so you fish today or yeah I fish today and yesterday yeah I fish uh I started on Saturday okay fish every day five days yeah okay how many you end up with total uh that was 60 seven with the short ones okay any fish on board at all no okay none nothing no Rockfish no link HUD nothing nothing okay all right is your permit card up here then it looks like [Music] yeah cool my measuring device what do you use I just made a line in my trough okay I was thinking maybe when it's in the trough the tail lays down or something is this a new boat for you then yeah how how new this winter or I've had it 3 years but I don't fish it very often cuz it I just got it like kind of working okay [Music] so so nothing in any of these tot scale uh got ice in it okay and then the hold this got ice in it also just balast on if I take a look yeah yeah you can it's hard to see lots of clean ice in there cool that's okay we're good and then this is just new ice or yeah all ready for the next load huh and what do you use to measure that yeah I put a line right here so let put right here I can tell you what what probably your issue is cuz I've seen it before um it's the measuring in a V like that um so you put their head on this end yeah hey hey hey you don't want to get sprayed when it's not raining don't have to your Mark's slightly short oh that's the problem well that wouldn't explain what I'm seeing but uh the other thing that happens is when you put them in a in a V Notch like this um it pinches the tail right so makes the tail flatten out and when you measure them you don't get to do that so you kind of you could use that as a as a basic Checker but if they're close you need something oh flat something they actually saw them at Murray's um uh you know you can make it yourself but uh something with a vertical surface and you know at least 28 in long um and wide enough to fit the tail so probably need it to be 6 in wide um okay so or you can do it a lot of people have a spot on their deck that's got a vertical surface and is a good like yeah I just do right there it's like from your kind of like rough so that's why I I don't know I guess I just get it make something though like you said uh I mean yeah you could you could have a little piece of plastic back there to lay them on and use a one of your one of your bleeder boxes or you know yeah however you want to do it going to do something yeah I I would um you got your ID handy and uh yeah all right well unfortunately we got to write a citation for having undersized fish so I mean you seems like you understand the the issues there yeah um and you got several of them so four to be exact um none of them are like extremely extremely under but uh but they're under I so and I there was one more that was slightly under that I gave you I'm not I'm not interested in splitting hairs so yeah I'm okay so that's a summons for having undersized King Salmon what it says on there is that you had four undersized King Salmon less than 28 in and you need to show up and court on the 20th at 230 okay um and like we talked about if you need to change that you can you can talk to the court about that uh but otherwise they'll expect you to be in a chair there okay okay um yeah any questions for me since you're sort of you're not new to this but uh well new to being the I guess was like my big question cuz like I I know like sometimes you put it on there and like one tip of the tail is over it's all you need and like you but you don't get to pinch it and you don't get to you know bend the fish to make it make the tail out same thing with the chin straps even if they're cut I'm just going to turn it back into a fish I'm not going to measure it with the chin sticking way out there or no I I don't think it matters but uh um yeah some some guys leave them leave them attached some don't so the question was that whether you did that on those ones on purpose or oh no I do you just do it did it on all I thought that's just how you did it but I don't know honestly these days don't know what the plants want I know when I was when I was a kid there were plants that would number two fish for that oh right but I don't think they care anymore at all so no they definitely don't care now but like I never like trolled before I got a troller so yeah I don't know right yeah no definitely a different deal so okay um well well yeah we'll see you on the on the 20th and you won't be seeing me doing this again okay
