I'm not doing anything to resist. I'm just being black on Southwest and they promised I would get arrested and this is the problem. >> On December 1st, 2025, Nashville airport officers were called to a gate after a passenger was removed from a Southwest flight for disruptive behavior on board. She says she was removed for being black. The officer says she was removed for what she did on the plane, then for refusing to leave the secure area without a valid boarding pass. Both of those things can be examined and both deserve honest analysis. This is proof on record. >> It started out she went she went to the front lab. She opened the door and there's a kid peeing. The flight attendant stopped her and was like, "Hey, you cannot enter there's a kid inside." Then she automatically took her phone out and was like, "I'm going to record you. What's your name? You can't be doing this." Blah blah blah blah. She took her seat all the way in the back, bumped into people beside her, like just randomly just hitting the person beside her, older couple, made them move out the way. Then she requested a hot tea from the flight attendant in the back. She went to the galley and said, "I want to watch you make that my hot tea." So she's all the strange shenanigans going on. So for safety reasons and everything she's done, we're not comfortable. >> What did she do when she got off? >> Oh, she was acting a fool. She's like as soon as she as soon as I approached her, she took her phone out saying, "I'm not comfortable with you. You're white, I'm black. I need to speak to somebody else." >> Her main thing is always that's what she equated all of it to is that they charged her for her drinks and didn't charge the other people for her drinks. She had two drinks according to the flight attendant. >> And she's only recording what she wants to record. Obviously no interactions being recorded, just picks up the phone, "I'm being harassed." That's what she puts on there. I'm not sure if it's something mental. She also had two drinks on board. I don't know if it made an impact on her or anything like that, but >> But we were just trying to have a conversation. >> And I can give her the opportunity to speak to her and I stepped back. >> There's two sides and we're I'm like she's like, "No, there's not two sides." I was like, "Well, wait. First of all, there's three cuz everybody's trying to win their own side." We couldn't even have a conversation. >> So she just needs to be escorted off the plane. She's not flying again, all right? Okay. Thank you. Yeah, all right. She's being denied the service. Hey, how's it going, man? >> So, we knew you guys were looking into that for me. I don't know how I knew it. >> We just got a call about you. >> What did I do? >> So, that's what we're trying to figure out, right? So, >> I'm just trying to explain what happened was, let me just show you. They won't look at it. One, the airline, I was harassed by people who weren't my race, and I recorded, not them, just me being mistreated. >> Okay, so are these other passengers or is it airline employees or something? >> It was both. So, then I asked the airline employees in my notes for two names. When I got off the airline, they of course called their supervisors, like I would do. I'm going home to go to work tomorrow. I would call my supervisor and say, I know I did wrong, let me make the person a bad guy. Unfortunately for them, I recorded and I said I said I recorded. Even if they said I did, I didn't do it. If somebody wants to watch a recording, I'm not a person to be taken off the airline. >> This was all verbal, nothing physical? >> I never If you think >> No, I'm just asking. I'm not saying you did anything. >> All I asked them was to tell me what I did other than >> Yeah, so do you have a a connecting flight somewhere? Are you going to >> He said I'm going to So, he's decided that without any evidence, I never even talked to him. He looked at me, hurried with a quiet sentence said before I even got off the flight. Just like I walked out the bathroom, recognized that you guys were here for me. This is the level of treatment. No one is listening to like how I was treated on this flight. I never touched anybody. I never harassed anybody. I never cussed anybody. And I know how not to cuss and go crazy on anybody there. >> So, unfortunately, it is up to the airline whether they want to let you fly or not. >> the airline. It was this Even if I were buying another airline ticket and I didn't want to go to Southwest, this guy is creating a campaign to bother me throughout this airport. So, I went to the bathroom. I could have been buying another ticket to another airline, not the airport. I didn't even say airport. I want their information for this level. Can you guys watch the video? >> that's something that you'd have to bring up with their customer service. >> But I was trying to ask them how to do it. I already have a bought ticket. >> We can give you the information on how to do that. >> But I asked them that an hour ago. They're trying to waste my time. This guy is single-handedly deciding that I wasn't going to be on my knees. >> this guy? >> Can we go up front and call the police? Can we go and talk? But it was I didn't talk any differently than I'm talking now. And the police don't make me talk better. I don't have that >> I get it. I understand. >> This is outright harassment from the plane and when the guy said, "Mark, she won't get on the next flight." I have it on recording. >> Okay. >> When someone says that as a flight attendant, not based off of anything I did, based off of me saying that I'm going to complain about what's going on there. They just beat me to the punch. >> So, I know that's frustrating, but they can do that. Like Officer Grady here was saying >> I still get a reason? >> They don't have to give you a reason. That's the thing. >> No, no, they can't just deny me. >> They can. They can enforce it. >> No, no, but I want my money back then. I I get to buy a ticket. >> Like we're saying, that's something you'd have to bring up with their customer service. >> I'm going to go to customer service. Walk with me so I can go to customer service. >> front. >> Let's go to customer service over there. >> It's not It's not an option right now. Talking to them down there is not >> They decided They decided it. No, I didn't They don't You guys are the police. >> They just said that. We don't work for Southwest. We work for the airport. And the airport is a contractor of the airport and they decided that you're not making flight with Southwest. So, we can go up to the ticket counter. They don't have to give a reason. >> But they got to give me my money back. >> We can do it up at front. They have the same capabilities up front. But as of right now, they have voided the ticket for So, we're going to go up >> even know my name. >> We're going to go up front and get your money. >> He doesn't know my name to void a ticket. So, we can still talk. You guys don't know my name. >> They have that information because >> They do not have that information. They do not. You guys saw a black girl with a green jacket. The description came out there. It's like I knew that you were the police. This is a lie like that's a lie. >> Can we go up front and deal with it so that we're not going to have to >> to go talk to them and get my money back. >> We're going to deal with it. >> So, I can't get on that plane. >> You cannot. >> I don't know who said no. >> Because they denied you boarding. >> they? It was just THE ONE GUY. >> you boarding. That's who denied you boarding. >> He never denied me boarding. He denied me boarding. >> That's That's what they have told us. >> It is outright racism that I was denied boarding. Did you You see the videos of what >> We We can get names for you if you want to file a complaint with Southwest, too. >> But I got to get to work tomorrow. >> Then it's fine. >> Let's go. >> Okay. >> Don't think that I would have done that if I didn't have a problem with >> We can get your vehicle in the other >> Is it good that you guys are here? This is clearly a black move. I know you guys are national. It's a witch mob. >> The flight attendant's account covers several incidents on the plane, recording a child in a bathroom, bumping into passengers unprompted, demanding to watch her tea being made in the galley, two drinks on board, verbal confrontations with crew. The flight attendant's conclusion is that for safety reasons they were not comfortable with her on the aircraft. Her account is different. She says she was charged for drinks that other passengers were not charged for. She says she recorded herself being mistreated, not other people. She says everything was verbal and nothing physical happened. She says she was told before she even got off the plane that she would not be on the next flight, based not on what she did, but on her saying she was going to complain about Southwest. The officer explains the legal reality clearly and correctly. Southwest is a private airline. Under federal aviation regulations and standard contract of carriage rules, a carrier can deny boarding without providing a specific reason. The denied passenger's remedy is civil, not criminal. She is owed a refund. She may have a discrimination complaint if she can substantiate it, but she cannot stay in the secure area without a valid boarding pass. That is the legal line, and it is the only one the officers can enforce. >> You got to know that man. >> You guys are a witch mob. This is a witch. This is a witch. This is what you do to black people when you don't like how they act. >> Please. >> Okay, I'm sorry guys. >> We're just walking this way. No, ma'am. We're just trying to walk We're trying to escort you. >> I won't talk to you. Everybody watch. I'll walk with you nicely. I'm not a I'm not a I don't got to walk with you. I'm not detained, so walk. >> Still maintain camera. She is extremely verbally combative at the moment. So we're going to the ticket counter right now So, you >> ain't got to leave the airport, right? You can get your >> Ma'am, so >> I got to buy a ticket on another airline. I'm calling >> So, we do that up front. There's plenty of plenty of airlines out there. You can go You can't be back here without a valid boarding pass, okay? >> [music] >> Yes, but as of right now, you don't have a valid boarding pass. >> And I do. >> So, you do not have a boarding pass. You don't need Cuz that was >> What airline? >> United. >> You bought another ticket? She bought you another ticket? >> Yes, who you think this is? >> I'm just What gate is that at? >> It says B >> We're just trying to help you out. We're trying to get you get you get you a new flight. I I believe you. We we believe you, but we can't do anything about that. >> I do. >> Mhm. I got you. Okay. You have to make sure you have a boarding pass. And that's something you can definitely take up with Southwest. Like we're saying, we're we're not trying to arrest you. So, like I said, we just have to confirm you got that new boarding pass, and we'll be out of your hair, okay? You're right, I'm not I'm not your life guide, but you have to have an active boarding pass to back here. So, to be on the secure side of the airport That's with Southwest, that has nothing to do with That's up to Southwest discretion. That has nothing to do with us. Well, you understand we we didn't deny you boarding. Today We would have to talk to them to know that, and that would have to take place up front up front. I know. At the ticket counter up front. No, ma'am. It would have would have been disorderly conduct depending on your behavior. So, that's based on your behavior. I'm saying if it escalates, that would that's what it would be called. No, ma'am. I'm just trying to talk to you person to person. I'm just trying to talk to you person to person. I don't look at you any other way like I would anyone else. Well, like we're saying, that's that's a that's a Southwest call, right? That's something that you have to talk to the ticket counter about. You're already harassing me at this point. I'm asking you to leave. Southwest has already got you to get away. I missed my flight. Why don't you leave and let me go? They don't know who I am. You guys can't do You can't make me a criminal with a civil issue. I paid my money. You're trying to make me a criminal. You're escalating the situation and trying to criminalize it. I don't have time for this. >> Officers offered to walk her to the ticket counter, get her money back, get names for a formal complaint, get her to her connecting flight on another airline. Her mother has already purchased a replacement ticket on United. She refuses to walk. She says she is not detained. She is right about that initially. She is not detained yet, but she is also on the secure side of the airport without a valid boarding pass. That is not a gray area. The secure area of a federally regulated airport requires a valid boarding pass for every person beyond the security checkpoint. That requirement exists under federal regulation, not just airport policy. She keeps saying it is not the law. It is. The officers give her multiple opportunities and multiple explanations. She has a United ticket. They can verify it. She can stay on the secure side, but she will not show the confirmation. She will not walk to the counter. She will not do anything she is asked. >> I want to go home. Southwest wants you to get down. >> All right, then. I'm going to give you one more option right now. We need to walk to the non-secure side, and if we do not walk to the non-secure >> and I'm asking these people to leave me alone. I have a ticket to get on Southwest Airlines flight. I'm asking to leave me alone so I can go on the airline. If I can't get on the airline, let me not get on the airline. >> I'm giving you one last option. >> What is my last option? >> We need to walk to the non-secure side. As of right now, yes. >> No, I'm not. For what? For having a ticket? >> Listen, at this point, we've given you multiple warnings that we need to leave. You've refused to leave. That doesn't matter. If you continue to refuse to leave, you will go to jail for criminal trespassing. >> How? >> Because you're you're refusing our lawful order to leave this area, right? >> Why would I leave the secure when I have a ticket to be here? >> You do not cuz you have been denied boarding. >> I haven't I got to go get I got to go board to be denied boarding. You're denying me boarding. You don't work for Southwest. He got on the phone and claimed he worked for Southwest. He's claiming that he no lawyer. Let me go to the boarding and see if I got denied boarding. >> No, ma'am. >> Well, who denied me boarding? Is it the police or Southwest? >> It's Southwest Airlines. I can >> No, they have not denied me boarding. No, they have not. I'm not going to board. So, I want to go to board to be denied boarding. >> If we do not exit the secure area >> Well, what am I being denied boarding? What am I Please don't touch me. Make sure you back up off of me. >> I'm giving you this option. >> I don't have an option. >> This is the last option. I'm telling you will end up in jail. That's you're going to be denied boarding. >> I bought two tickets. Can we buy another one from another airline? Do you want to see me work for another airline? >> No. >> I got it. >> We're past that point right now. >> So, hold on. I can't buy it all? >> Not with Southwest. >> I'm going to buy it from another airport. >> Then you need to exit the secure side. >> know. But, I still have a ticket for Southwest. I'm still secure in here. My baggage is still on the airplane. >> Okay. Go and stand up. Turn around and face the wall. >> I got it. I got it. I'll go. I'll go. I'll go. >> All right. Now, now we're past that point. Put your back up. >> He don't do this to me. It's two tickets I bought. All I did was try to buy a ticket on my phone. He grabbed my phone and my cell phone. >> Get out of the area now. Yes. >> Can you not Can you not go through my belongings? I'm not I'm only saying. >> You're under arrest. >> I'm not arrested. What did I do wrong? >> Under arrest for trespassing. >> I'm not trespassing. I have a ticket. I'm in the airline I'm talking to the customer service and I gave everybody information and there is black people out in Nashville. >> No. >> Is there a body camera on? >> There is. >> Okay. So, I you're putting this on me. I stand down so I can buy a ticket. My mother bought two tickets. Out of Southwest, it's not illegal for me to buy a ticket. It's not illegal >> It's not illegal for me to buy a plane ticket. They got out of patience. They don't work for the airline. They don't work for the I'm going to be in front of the camera at all times. >> You're in front of the camera right now. >> I I to be in front of the camera at all times. I have not done anything to resist. I've been nice to you guys. I've only asked Okay, I I won't do anything wrong. I've not done anything to resist. I'm just being black on Southwest and they promised I would get arrested and this is the promise. I have it on camera. I asked him he's shaking cuz he knows he's wrong. You know you're wrong >> I have to search you. >> I'm I'm You can search. I have my hands in the air. >> So, please spread your legs slightly. >> a woman. I need a woman. I'm not spreading my legs. I'm not spreading my legs. It's against my religion. You can do anything. You can look. I will not be >> Spread your legs where you are. >> That's as much as I can do. I will not spread my legs. I'm a whole woman. But, what am I But, you guys are ridiculous. This is You guys are really going to arrest me? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Wow. Give me my passport back. >> Ma'am, stop pulling away >> I'm not pulling away from you. I'm asking for my belongings. >> You will get them at booking when you are released from jail. >> Do not touch me. You're racist. I would never let a kid touch me. And you know you're wrong. You know you're wrong for this. What you doing? >> The officer gives her the final warning clearly. Walk to the non-secure side or be arrested for criminal trespass. She refuses. She says she has a ticket. She says she cannot be trespassing. She says she wants to go to the boarding gate. Her Southwest boarding pass was voided when she was denied boarding. Her United ticket had not been confirmed to officers yet at the point of arrest. Without a confirmed valid boarding pass, she has no legal right to remain on the secure side of the airport. That is not a racial determination. That is an access determination based on documentation. She is arrested for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. She says she is just being black on Southwest and she says they promised she would get arrested. Here is is Proof on Record will say directly about that. The racial disparity claim on the plane is a legitimate civil rights question that a court and Southwest's own investigation should answer. If she was charged for drinks other passengers were not charged for, that is worth documenting. If a flight attendant said she would not make the next flight based on a complaint rather than conduct, that is worth documenting. She documented it. That documentation belongs in a civil complaint with Southwest and potentially with the Department of Transportation. But that civil question does not resolve the criminal trespass question at the airport. The officers on scene cannot adjudicate what happened on the plane. They can only enforce the access rules of the secure area. And those rules apply regardless of why someone's boarding pass was voided. She was charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. As of March 30, 2026, the case had not been formally resolved. Nothing in this video is legal advice. We are not practicing attorneys. All commentary is for education, awareness, and accountability. This is Proof on Record.
