He said if I ever got deported, he'd have his brother kill me and all this stuff. And so >> on the evening of May 28th, 2024, sheriff's deputies in Albuquerque were dispatched to a domestic incident. The weapon ended up being a milk jug. But when you learn how this ordeal ultimately ended, it's anything but funny. >> They're fighting. They're fighting. And I'm afraid that they're going to do something to my apartment. >> Do they have any weapons? >> Yes, he does. >> Okay. What kind of weapons does he have? >> A gun. >> What kind? >> A a gun? >> Yeah. What kind? >> I don't know. I don't know anything about weapons. >> He's been fighting with his girlfriend. >> Okay. >> And um I told him that they didn't stop. I was going to call the cops, but um they stopped. Now, >> there is a report of a possible domestic violence, so we still have to investigate. I apologize. >> Hopefully, you guys still need to go in. >> Yeah, >> you also have to go talk to them. >> Okay. >> Anytime there's a report of a possible domestic violence, we have to investigate >> in there in the back. >> Yeah, I'll go to >> Sheriff's office. >> Yes, sir. >> Can you come and speak with me, please? >> Okay. >> So, what's going on? >> Oh, no. Oh, these people coming already. >> So, you guys were arguing? >> Yeah. >> What was what was going on? Why were you guys arguing? >> Honestly, no have idea. I just want to calm down and calm down. But no, she wanted [music] >> Okay. So, how how did this all start? >> When did this start? >> Not even know. You know what? We talk and and she she talk so loud. No problem. She bought the house. >> Okay. So, >> just get a second figure. Got into an argument. Um, >> I came over here to help him move. But, >> um, we got into a little argument. I kept telling him how he doesn't get his stuff together cuz he's going through this eviction, you know, maybe he didn't want to listen to me. Like, he just focusing on what's important. He's getting evicted tomorrow, you know? And I kept telling him like, "You need to focus on what's important. You haven't even packed up nothing." I just like, "Yeah." We started talking to each other and I was just I just told him like you're >> What do you mean by talking? >> For example, he's like, "Oh, you just want to leave. You just want to leave cuz all you do is cheat on me." Blah blah blah. And I was like, "Boy, you're nothing but an I'm not going to deal with this [ __ ] I'm going to play your games tonight. I'm going to go home." He would be in my house packing up your apartment. I'm going to leave, you know? And then um he just looked at me and he like grabbed the he had the milk jug in his hand and he just like he hit me once with the milk jug and then he pour the whole milk jug on my hand like the whole way I was full of milk. >> Okay. >> And like um I just started crying and I was holding my head and I did and that's why I said I do feel bad cuz I did start banging on the neighbor's wall like really crazy. I was like yeah cuz I was scared. >> Sure. All right. We'll have you talk talk with me over here and my partner. Okay. >> That doesn't help me at all. You just said that. >> What did I say, sir? What do you want me to say? Do you want me to say something? >> No, but I'm trying to figure out what was going on. Why were you guys saying >> you guys are arguing? >> But we don't. >> Hey, dude. Let's knock it off. You're going to listen to my partner. You're going to answer his questions. You're going to knock it off right now. Stop talking over him and listen to him. Do you understand me? >> Okay. He's going to talk to you and you're going to answer the questions. >> I do. >> Okay. So earlier this evening, >> we were called because you guys were heard arguing in your place. Okay, we >> Okay. >> What were you guys arguing about? What happened? What what started the argument? >> And um I told him just let me get my stuff in. Leave. I'll leave. You know what I mean? I'll leave in peace [music] and I'll never call you again and that be that. And he was just like he was just acting weird. And he's like he's so freaking weird tonight. And he was he didn't want to let me leave. He put the um table in front of this door and then he put something else in front of that door and I couldn't get out of the apartment. >> Okay. So, he didn't allow you to leave at all? >> No. >> Did he hit you any other times? >> No. He used to be with the knuckles on my head and then he just busted everywhere. Everywhere. >> And it was right here on the side of your head. >> Yeah. Like this whole side of my body. >> Did you ever try to leave? >> Um yeah, actually after I wanted to leave and he he like both doors. Did you try to leave after you locked the door? >> No, cuz I know you swung at me. >> Huh? No, don't look at her. Look at me. >> I find it hard to believe that you guys were just arguing because she was talking too loud. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> She called somebody and I open the door and she went deeply that way. I open the door. I don't want to be accusing for nothing because when she getting mad like she know >> what was what were you arguing about? >> I don't even know. That's fair. You want I don't understand nothing. I don't know. >> We're going to talk with her, too. >> You can sit down right there. You got us. >> I'll get it. Yeah, [snorts] >> cuz we're going to talk to her, too, dude. So, We just got to talk with both you guys. Okay. >> Okay. Are you sure? What's your name? >> How do you uh >> 16? >> Got it. Go ahead and stand up for me, sir. >> Yes, sir. >> Stand up. Turn around facing my partner. >> When I arrest him. >> Facing around my partner. >> Okay. You want to arrest? Just give me a second. Okay. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Where's your ID from? >> I don't have any Mexico driver's license. >> Yeah. >> You are under arrest. >> Oh my god. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Huh? Hey, can I >> do you understand right? >> So, this is what I'm going to ask you. Okay. >> So, we were talking with your girlfriend over there. >> Okay. >> And she said when you guys were arguing that you hit her on the side of the head with a milk jug. >> Okay. Did you hit her on the side of the head with the milk jug? >> No. No. I hit it with the what? >> You hit her on the side of the head with the milk jug. >> No, no, I don't. >> I throw the milk. Yes, but not throw to her. >> You threw the milk. Where did you >> But not to her. You know the milk get open because have a hole in the in No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I >> Why is she covered in milk then? >> Huh? >> Why was she covered in milk? Well, she covered in milk because the milk chop it in the in the table and got to her but not that milk. >> No, no, no, no, no, no, no. >> Dude, she's covered in milk. Why did you hit her in the head with the milk? >> No. I'm not. >> Do you want to speak with the victim's advocate? >> Like one time he told me that if I ever got him deported that cuz he's from Guatemala. He said if I ever got him deported, he'd have his brothers kill me and all this stuff. I think so. >> Do you want to speak with the victim's advocate tonight? >> That'd be nice. Or what would they do though? >> They can fill out an emergency restraining order. >> Do you want that? >> Yeah, that'd be nice. He's probably going to be out tomorrow. >> We are in peace right now. I don't know. >> And why is she covered in milk? >> I thought they hit the the when I had the the the jaw in my hand, I I don't know the table and the milk dropped it to her. But no, I didn't throw it. >> That doesn't make any sense, dude. >> If you drop if I hit the the the table over here, the milk go to her. Not throw it to her. >> Okay. Mm-m. >> So, when she was trying to leave, cuz she told you she was going to leave, >> did you? >> No. She never tried to leave. >> Did you block both doors? >> No. No. No. No. No. No. Wait. No. >> Why? Why was the table in front of the door? >> Okay. The table is there because she said she went to pass over there and we moved the table there because there's a lot of milk in the floor. >> That doesn't make any sense. >> I move the table to the door. >> So, you move it in front of the door. >> Yeah. But it's not me, sir. When You know what? I just clean the apartment. She want she want to leave. Why she don't want to outside? Why she don't want to the other door? It's not make sense. I I holding her that's why I open the door when when she started feeling because you know what the second time the police come because she said I I holding and I I holding her inside house. No, I'm not. I'm not. >> I'm just trying to figure out what's going on, dude. Because your girlfriend had milk over her head and her hair. >> And I got me too because of me jumping me, too. But I didn't throw I didn't throw it. And I and I told her and I told her, "Calm down. The neighbor going to call the police. Please do not." >> So this emergency order of protection will expire 72 hours from date and time. Um all right. You must not abuse, ask, or cause other persons to abuse a petitioner, which is or any of her household members. Okay. So anybody that she's family with. This is this judge saying that you cannot contact her or anything. >> Oh, I don't know. and Yovio Roas Hungos was arrested and charged with battery. Unfortunately, this didn't stop him. Yunkos was quickly released from jail and a week later, he tracked down the victim, kidnapped her, battered her, and assaulted her. Soio Rodunkos was arrested again and charged with multiple felonies. As part of a plea agreement, Seinovio Roodos was found guilty of criminal false imprisonment and battery against a household member. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison with additional time on probation. It appears the deputies did everything they could to protect the victim. In the comment section, let us know if you think the jail should have allowed federal immigration officials the opportunity to put a detainer on defendant before he was released from custody following his first arrest. How do you think the criminal justice system handled this case? >> [music]
