Stop. You're under arrest. Stop. You're under arrest. You're going to get ted. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. >> Put your hands on your head. >> THESE HANDCUFFS ARE TOO TIGHT. YOU EVIL. When people get uncontrollable, delusional, or mad in front of a body cam, chances are the internet will see it. >> Now, nobody. >> So, today we gathered 3 hours worth of the best body cam moments when people challenged the law and definitely got sufficient schooling. It was around midday on November 5th of 2022 when the Columbus police were called to a local laundromat. Most people just go to the laundromat, get their clothes done, and go home. However, this next Karen saw her laundry trip as the perfect chance to make a massive scene. What's even worse is that she had five kids with her. All of them witnessing her crazy Karen antics. >> I have a very iate customer. My boss was just in here and she wants her removed off the property and I know when I go to tell her to leave it's going to cause a big scene because she's being really irate and >> okay >> violent and disrespectful and we >> and how is she being how is she being violent? >> Um she's like yeah well not like violent violent like physically but like yelling across the room pressing people talking about cuz I'm in black and all this other stuff like bro just can you leave like can you get off the property? The employee could spot the Karen from a mile away and knew she would put up a fight if she was asked to leave. It's for this reason that the laundromat decided to call in the police. The moment the cops walked into the laundromat, it was perfectly obvious who the Karen was. >> Hi. How are you? >> Great. How are you? >> Good. So, >> I want to get my money back. >> No. >> So, what what you want? I saw the white people. I don't know if the white came because I'm black. I don't give a I'm washing my clothes with my great dads in there. So, what's up? >> Okay. Well, you're going to have to leave. >> Well, I need some of my money back, too. >> You're going to have to call the management on that. >> Well, I'm Well, where why am I leaving? And my phones are in the dryer. >> Cuz I'm black. >> No, it has nothing to do with that. >> Yeah, it has to be. I'm the only black person in here. >> The woman is the only black person in the laundromat, but she's also the only one making a scene. It may have escaped her notice, but the issue here isn't her race. It's the fact that she's acting like a total Karen. She's creating such a scene that none of the other patrons can do their own laundry in peace. >> Why am I here? Because I'm black. >> You're being asked to leave by management. Has nothing to do with us. >> Listen. >> Okay. Get your stuff and go. >> You want with my Let me put my money back. >> I paid 5 10 I paid $20. Y'all asking me to leave. >> That's something to take up with their management. Well, give me your management number. >> I'll get you that. But you need to get your stuff and let's >> I'M LEAVING RACING BOTH AND BLACK people and we got a white one in front of us. A white one, right? A Mexican one. >> Oh, Mexican. >> You Mexican. >> It's pretty ironic that she continues to complain about being racially profiled, but in the next breath, she shouts racial insults and slurs at the cops. Karens like these are a big part of why cops have such a difficult job. I ain't talking. >> SO WHY YOU COMING OVER HERE? >> Making sure you're DOING WHAT YOU >> YEAH. YOU AIN'T MY DADDY EITHER. DONE. >> YOU CAN'T MAKE me do [ __ ] You ain't my daddy. >> YOU HEY, BRING ME MY PHONE SO I CAN CALL the police. >> Let's go. >> No, I'm going call the police first. >> Leave in handcuffs. GET >> COME ON, Y'ALL. GET OVER HERE. >> MIA, come and call the police on me. >> So, come over here. >> We got the Mexicans over here on her ass. >> Do not call the police. Call the police. That's my phone. >> No, we are THE POLICE. >> THAT'S MY PHONE. CALL THE POLICE. >> Do not call the police. >> Call the police. Put them on speaker. Put it on speaker. >> Let's go. >> Let go. I'm getting my clothes. >> Come on, daddy. Get the rest of our clothes. I ain't leaving no clothes here for these Mexicans. >> They need our clothes. Hello. >> Yes. Can you send the police to this business, please? >> What's the address? I'm about to launch her back on the damage. >> In yet another moronic move, the woman decides to call the cops. It's not like new cops are going to arrive at the scene and suddenly take her side, especially when she keeps being so volatile and insults people for being Mexican. Not only is this Karen proving that she's an awful person, but she's also losing any credibility to her side of the story by acting like a crazy person. >> No, MA'AM. THEY BEING RUDE AND I HAVE FIVE KIDS WITH ME AND I AM VERY SCARED. I'M HELL NO. I'm very scared in this office. >> Please write your name and your badge number. HE SAID HE'S NOT DOING IT, MA'AM. I JUST ASKED HIM FOR HIS BADGE NUMBER. HE SAID HE'S NOT DOING it right here. >> Please, Lord, cuz I have FIVE KIDS WITH ME AND I AM VERY SCARED OF this officer. Now, >> please shut the baby. Give me that number so I CAN CALL AND REPORT THIS UM PLACE. Excuse me, ma'am. Can I have the number? >> Let's go get your stuff and let's go outside. >> I got my stuff. >> I'm going to start walking outside. >> I got my stuff. >> The cops try their best to keep their calm while the Karen goes on a shouting rampage. It's definitely not easy. But now the woman's clothes are out of the dryer and she can finally be escorted away. If she doesn't stop her annex pretty soon though, she might land herself in handcuffs in front of her kids. >> Uh this says, "Let me see. I don't see no address on this business. 390 West Broad. >> It's 39 West Broad. >> 3090. >> 3090 West Broad. >> Y'all get that number from me from the white girl? >> Y'all got the business number for me? >> Over there. >> Over where? >> Take a picture with your phone. >> No, listen. I was just in the bathroom at Washington and all of a sudden I was racing by this police officer that's coming in here yelling at me, being disrespectful in front of my kids. It's a foreigner. It's a Mexican. He's a Mexican and I'm at this gas station where all these foreigners are legal. I'm legal. They about to be legal. I'm about to shut this. Hold on. Go ahead. I'm about to shut it down so they >> Yes. I'm right here listening. I got this officer in my face being real threat. >> At last, she's no longer inside the laundry mat bothering the people. This doesn't mean she's calmed down, though. Running her mouth got her kicked out of the laundry mat, but this didn't seem to teach her any kind of lesson at all. On a side note, it seems like she brought six months worth of laundry in one go. >> You need to have car seats for these kids. >> They ain't getting in the car. Somebody coming to get them. >> Somebody coming to get them. They ain't getting in the car. We'll walk before we get in the car. Did come back. Come back. >> See right here. >> You can walk away. >> Pay attention. Watch me walk away. >> I want to walk. >> You better. battery wash cuz all you can do is get away from you. >> The officer noticed that the woman doesn't have the correct car seats for her kids, but she's quick to have an excuse for everything. Thankfully, she was now loading her bags of laundry into her car, hopefully to never return. The woman was not arrested, but it wouldn't be surprising if she was banned from this laundromat. Officer Kevin Jerome was called to the scene after a taxi drove away with someone's luggage because he couldn't pay for the ride. The officer made a report of the situation and went to tell the victim that the conflict was a civil matter between him and the taxi company. However, when he turned around, a female named Destiny Tora Hawkins hopped in his car and sped away. >> Katie got in your car. >> What? >> 60. A girl just got in 60 and took off. She's northbound Woodward. It was a black guy with an afro. >> No, it was a It was a female. >> It was a female >> with a white t-shirt or something. I thought it was a male. >> Damn. >> It looked like a black female short afro. >> Yeah. >> I seen her walk across the woodward. I was talking to the gentleman on my run. I had my back turned. Another gentleman just said, "Hey, that girl just got in your car. Officer John Heath was in pursuit of the stolen vehicle and was one of the first officers on the scene when Destiny Hawkins crashed the cop car. Destiny's adventure was cut short by an 80 plus mileph encounter with the rear end of a GMC Yukon at the intersection of 7M and Stole in Detroit. in the car still. >> Get the out of the car now. >> Get the out of the car, you wonder. >> Come here. Ferndale in custody. >> Give me your hand. >> Vehicle sec. >> Got him. Anyone else in the car? I don't see anyone else. >> I don't think so. Let me sneak through. >> We need rescue. >> Yes, we need rescue for 11. >> The suspect is placed in cuffs and taken to the backseat of a different cop car. The officers make sure to let her know that what she did was extremely dangerous and that she put many lives in danger because she wanted to go for a joy ride. Destiny hit speeds of up to 100 mph in a 35 mph zone and 92 mph in a 25 mph zone. And this caused multiple accidents. >> All the cars involved in the accident. >> Yes, sir. Just so we made sure DPD on scene. >> I didn't see them. They're not. But he um >> How many crashes are there? Is that >> one there, one here? >> Two cars over there. Four. >> Yeah, >> I got her license right here. I ran her already. You want me to send her offs? No. >> You okay? >> Yes. We need rescue for uh the two involved the other crash. We want to let DPD know. >> I'm DPD is >> I'm going to have an ambulance come check you out. Okay. >> Do you have your driver's license so I can start writing down who I'm talking to? Luckily for everyone involved in the accidents, no one was seriously injured. The officer takes a statement from the man who was in the GMC and the driver of the black Toyota. He makes sure they're okay and lets them know that an ambulance is on the way to the scene to check them out. One of the officers on the scene explains to the captain what happened, how Destiny got possession of the vehicle, and what he did to catch up to her. >> What did you what do you know? >> I was working on that arrest report and THEN na Woodward and I said, "What does he got?" And then he says, "Okay, 60 stolen northbound on Woodward." >> He was out talking with somebody. >> Was the vehicle in a traffic lane with the emergency equipment on it? >> I I don't know. He was out talking to somebody. So, I don't know if it was in the parking lane or if it was in the traffic lane. I don't know. >> Somebody like >> And the dude, one of the >> investigated related. >> He was he was dispatching something. I think it was a medical or a suspicious person. Yeah. >> So, yeah. And then when they said it was on 696, I was just getting on And they said it was going north on 75. I was just on the ramp past the point of being able to correct and they're like, "No, it's going south." So then I had to go to 11 mile. Then I made it back when we're blocking 9 mile. >> The ABL wasn't worth a >> No, it's not real time. >> Officer Kevin Jerome arrives on the scene to find his poor cop car smashed. Before making his way to the captain, he tells the other officer what happened and how his car was stolen in the blink of an eye. Dude, I was at the bus stop talking to someone about his luggage being stolen. >> She just runs and jumps in, huh? >> She walked across Woodwork and got in it and some dude was like, "Hey, she just got in your car." >> Yeah, she has short hair. 24 years ago 63. Is it drivable or do we need more answers? >> Sidewalk, guys, please. >> When Destiny got to jail, they asked her why she stole the cop car. She said she just wanted to have a little fun. Endangering lives isn't a way to have some fun, though. And Destiny Hawkins is not going to have fun while she's in prison. The 24year-old was taken to the Oakland County Jail with a $250,000 cash bond for felony charges of autotheft and thirdderee fleeing and eluding. Even the most casual traffic stops can lead to the uncovering of something illegal. On January 30th, 2024, police were making a standard check of a car with dark window tents. When the driver opened his windows, the police noticed a very familiar scent. Despite this, the officers start out the conversation casually. >> All right, here. Put it up just a little bit. I'll check the front and the back just so you know if they're legal or illegal. There you go. Stop. All right, so that's 13. And so your front one has to be 28 or higher. So the front's illegal. And then just put this one up just a little bit. And that's five. So all right. Hang. You got >> All right, Michael. Can you step out over there? You don't have a medical marijuana card or nothing like that? >> All right. Can you hop out over there for me? >> I'm going explain it to you. Hop out on this side. >> Do you have any marijuana or anything like that? When's the last time someone smokes in there? Is it racing to put this up in the trunk? >> Did you notice how the officer started off lightly and then confronted him directly about the marijuana smell? It appears to be the appropriate tactic in this case. The suspect identified as Michael Underwood is visibly nervous. The officer proceeds to pat him down. Now watch as he makes a little slip during the questioning. >> You have anything on you we need to know about her in the car? >> No, sir. Why in the car? >> Cuz the car smells like marijuana. >> I knew it doesn't smell like marijuana. Smoke marijuana. >> It does smell like marijuana. >> Regular search, >> right? For the odor of marijuana coming out of the vehicle. So we can search you in the vehicle. >> Bro, I know you don't smoke marijuana. >> You can search it. Go ahead. >> Marij. It's just crazy how y'all trying to search me. I hate when y'all do that. >> Yeah, but still trying to search me. >> Yeah, we are searching. It's pretty basic stuff here. >> Yeah, but I want to record it. That's fine. It's fine. We're recording it, too. Okay. One here, one there. >> I ain't doing nothing. I'm ready to search my search for nothing. Please smell me. I know you. >> Okay. We're allowed to search you and the vehicle if we smell the odor of marijuana. Okay. You don't have medical marijuana. >> I don't even smoke in a car. I don't even smoke. >> As the search continues, Michael visibly becomes more nervous with each second. The officers will have to detain him to prevent a possible getaway or other illegal actions. But as the search goes on, the cops realize that the suspect has a history. At the same time, he'll attempt to employ a little distraction. >> Was it Did I pull you over by >> You pulled me over by 100? >> Okay. I didn't smell marijuana that time. >> Yeah, you had >> a K9 came and a K9 alerted on the vehicle, didn't they? Huh? Right. >> I didn't even worry about it. >> You were freaking out, man. >> Yeah, the K9 truck came. >> Okay. So, I didn't smell marijuana that time. I'm not doing anything wrong, bro. >> For what? You're just being detained. You're just being detained. All right. >> Okay. He's trying to do a search of you. Okay. >> We don't want any problems either. Okay. >> I haven't done anything wrong, bro. Y'all violate my right. >> Okay. We're not violating any rights. Okay. Let me lock these so they don't uh so they don't tense up on you. All right. You ask them if you have anything as rush. He says, "All right, Michael. This goes this goes a couple different ways." >> But this goes a couple different ways, Michael. >> Yeah. But still, I don't have anything. That's what I'm trying to tell you. You grab my >> Well, that's that's a a certain groin. >> I respect that, bro. But you going to grab my I'm trying to tell you. >> That's crazy, man. >> Yeah, you grab my neck. That's what you expect, bro. You grab my >> So far, things aren't looking good for Michael. Now, the cops will proceed to search his vehicle, and it's no surprise that they'll make a few other important discoveries. But, as it also turned out, he was hiding a little something on himself as well. >> This illegal What are the sandwich bags for? You're saying that your car doesn't smell like weed, but here's a little piece of it's in your car. >> The little piece of that I found over there I put in here. Every time we went to search him, that's when he started like freaking out like where to spread his legs and stuff. All right, we did find the um in the car with a little bit of Okay, so face car, I'm going to do a thorough thorough search. I know you were already upset about him grabbing nuts and stuff like that, but that's what we got to do. Okay, >> it's right there. It's right here in the front. It's right here. Feel it right here. Feel it right here. Right here. Right there. >> All right. What's in there? Got to pull it out. >> What? >> Whatever's right here in your pants. There's something in your pants. Right there. Right at your crotch. Right at your crotch. When I went like this, you could feel it, isn't it? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. It's right there. Yeah. No. No. It was in his crotch. When I went like this, that's when I felt it. The blade of my hand. >> What's in your mouth? Huh? Open your mouth. >> None of my mouth, bro. Get your hand out of my mouth. >> You were chewing. I didn't know what you were chewing on. Hey. >> That's why we checked the crotch. Cuz of that. >> We doing all that money. We're doing all that for nothing. >> Jackpot. After finding he had some previous offenses, it was a good call for them to start a thorough search on him and the vehicle. That white substance in the sandwich bag was later identified as cocaine. This routine traffic stop is slowly turning into a nightmare for Michael. >> Touch it real quick. It's multiple different ones. >> Yeah. Right here. >> Okay. It's a nice crack cookie. When you start touching it, he wasn't flinching, so I knew it wasn't his area. >> Felt the sharp edge of it. >> Yeah. Well, you know, just the difference of him tip being squeezed and >> that's what he kept saying every time Alto would get in there. He was like, "Oh, you're my dude. You're my dick." But >> he wasn't moving or nothing like he was just saying it just to say. >> Yeah. >> Oh, this all might be caffons, actually. Maybe not. No, he's got some loose caffons here, too. Well, >> yeah. >> We'll deal with it. >> Yeah, it's the the cathode stuff. Oh, how much money does he got? This was in the car. 1 2 4 10 415. Maybe 415 515. >> Michael's already in big trouble. But believe it or not, he's going to make things even worse for himself. If you ever find yourself in a police car, you should know that there's probably a camera in there. But Michael didn't know this, and he managed to get himself another felony charge. He's He's seizing the car and the money cuz the dope. All right. >> He's doing what? >> Seizing it. Like taking it for sheriff's office. It's not that he lost it. It's just that we're taking it. We're giving you paperwork right now that explains how to get it back. >> He's seizing the car. >> The car money. >> Why would he do that? The car is not even my name. >> Because it's been stopped before, but in it. That's our policy now. Okay. I don't know when and where. I wasn't there for any of that. So, >> what are you taking money for? >> Cuz it's tied into dope money. That's what Listen, that's what that's what you season it for. Okay? To be honest with you, I don't care if it is or isn't. It ain't my I'm not the one doing it. I just have to do the paperwork. Okay. >> Season the car and the money. I already know how they try to play. They try to make you pay to get the car. They good at scheming. What do you What are you seizing the car for? You holding the car for what? It's not my car. It's my uncle car. >> Michael's erratic behavior and his attempt to hide or get rid of the drugs on his person have made things considerably worse. And his case was brimming with more charges. He was later charged with one felony count of possession of cocaine with intent to sell, two counts of tampering with physical evidence, and one misdemeanor count of use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Prior to the incident, he'd been booked on drug charges five times. We have a crazy man who didn't really steal a cop car, but was busted trying to steal a train. In Columbus, Ohio, on June 7th, 2023, Columbus officers received a distress call from the Norfick Southern Railroad Police Department reporting that a person was lying on the railroad tracks. And as the train approached, he managed to evade the locomotive, but he then started throwing rocks, breaking windows, and finally climbing a top the engine. Here's what happened when officers arrived on the scene. >> Drop the [ __ ] hammer now. Drop it. >> About whatever your mouth. >> Drop it. Drop all of it. Drop it on the ground. Everything on you now. Drop it all. >> Going to blow up. >> Drop all of it. >> No. >> Drop it down. >> Throw it at the car. >> Drop it down. What you going to do? You think you going to kill me? I'm Jesus. Don't kill Jesus. >> Drop it down, sir. >> You believe? Pray in front of me now and I'll hand it to you. >> No. Drop it down. >> You What is you a plus, [ __ ] Drop it. >> We have MCR. >> Hey, you interrogated when I land. >> Hey, get a taser out. >> You think the taser going to stop you? Calm down, sir. >> Calm down. >> Calm down. >> Calm down. >> I'm not playing with games with you, buddy. >> Right now, you are. >> Are you going to shoot me with my hands down? >> Put the flares down. >> Put the flares down. >> Put the flares down. >> Put your hands down. As you saw in the video, the officer called in for MCR, the mobile crisis response unit. This is a special unit in the police department that's trained to deal with mentally unstable people or calls related to substance abuse. The suspect decides that he's done with talking and he jumps off the front and goes inside the train. The officers quickly follow behind him. Hey, come on out again, bud. >> What? >> I don't know what the he has, dude. >> Yeah, but if he's lighting them, open it up. working in your bedroom. >> The officers know that the suspect is armed. He had a hammer that he threw to the ground and still had flares in his hands when he entered the train again. These flares could be used to burn or to blind the officers. And since the suspect has already been inside the train previously, they don't know if he's hidden any other dangerous weapons inside. The officers walk around and enter from another entrance. Where you at? Move to the move here. >> A second group of officers arrive on the scene and open the door from where the suspect initially entered. The suspect was right at the door, so the officers didn't even have to go into the train to pull him out. >> Let me see your That's a flare. Hey, what's up, man? Let me see your hands. Give me your gun. Okay, I'm here. Get the out. Don't kill me. Don't kill me. Don't kill me. Don't kill me. Don't kill me. >> Search. >> I'm lying. This a publicity stop. All the world will listen. Muslims, we're not evil. >> We both right. >> Get a hold of him. Don't stop moving. Set the porn officer off. >> Quick. >> I just don't How do we get him down? >> If I don't move him down, >> is there an officer down there? Stop. >> I got it. >> Hey, we got stairs over here. >> Hang on. >> Go. >> We're going to have to pass him down. We're not going to have to hit him down. >> Yeah. >> My leg. >> The officers helped the suspect off of the train, but it was a much harder ordeal for the officers than they had anticipated. They were afraid that the suspect might push an officer down or maybe make a break for it. Instead, before getting off the train, the suspect simply asked really random questions. >> You want to be the president, Trump, or who? >> Who's the sheriff of Columbus police? >> Don't kill me. Walk. Y'all put me in jail. 6 years unjustly. 6 years unjustly. Mark Collins. Don't call Mark Collins. Let me face my accuser. You never never let me taste my juices. Stand here. Spread your feet. I'll go butt naked. Don't look at my dog though. I'm just looking at that around his back here. Cut the clothes off me and the Y'all should have a machine that could build this. >> All right, >> sit down. >> Why is all these people have cars? >> All right, sit back for us. >> Put your feet in the car, sir. force become stronger. >> Mother, >> this seat belt's >> sadly we don't know what the suspect was charged with or what happened to him after he went to jail, but it is presumed that this was an MCR case and that the suspect was not in his right mind. When officers receive late night calls to Aspbury Park, it only means one thing, trouble. And there's no doubt that the young Karen in this topic was up to no good. The officers were dispatched to a physical altercation in the street, and they were met with an obnoxious blonde model blaring music from her car. Unfortunately, things would only go downhill from here. >> Miss, >> what are you doing? >> Just nothing. I'm leaving. >> What are you doing here? I just drove past and they wanted to fight me cuz I'm white. >> Do me a favor. Turn your car off. >> I'm I'm white myself. That doesn't make sense. They would hate me, too. >> All right. It doesn't out at 29. >> Which one? Who's the caller? Hey, hold on. Hold on. Who's the caller? >> I don't know. I believe there are them in front. I didn't call them cuz she wants to like fight me and she got out the car and I'm with my kid. All right, you guys. >> Yeah, I'm coming from Atlantic City to come fight this girl. >> We're having a party. We're just started. I just got here. I haven't even drank. I just got here. I picked up my friends, >> right? And I'm dressed for the occasion. Thank god. >> And she came out the car and I'm talking to my friend cuz he just got here. So, I'm like, "Hey, you just got here." And she is like, "What are you doing?" I'm like, >> "No, she was doing this weird." >> And then I stopped. And >> does anyone know where this lady's coming from? The cops can't talk to the witness in peace without the blonde Karen chiming in. Her constant sarcasm is definitely not going down well. Her reasoning for getting out and confronting these people is absolutely ludicrous, too. And we can't see how anyone would take her seriously. >> What brings you to Asbury Park? >> Just I was driving by. >> Let's Let's be Let's start honesty. Okay. >> Okay. >> What are you doing here in Asbury Park? >> I have no family. >> You have no family? So, what brings you to Asbury Park from our >> Let's be honest. Let's be honest. >> All right. Chipotle. Look me up. >> Chipotle. >> Yep. AP. >> You want to try again? >> No. No, I'm not. >> You've been arrested before? >> Yeah. >> For what? >> Assault. >> What else? >> Officer. >> Okay. What else? >> That's it. >> No narcotics. >> No. >> No. >> Go ahead. >> All you want. >> Okay. >> My consent. Anyone? >> Is that an open container of alcoholic beverage under your seat? >> No. >> Oh, it looks like it. >> Not open. >> Closed. >> No, the one under your seat. >> It's a rental. >> Yeah, but you're still sole proprietor of the vehicle. >> Okay. But I don't drink beer. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Okay. And what? >> What else is in the car? >> Her attitude definitely doesn't sit well with the cops. And her stupid excuses aren't getting her anywhere. We highly doubt that a rental company would give you a car with an open bottle of beer under the seat. In any case, now that the cops know she has a history of assaulting police officers, they know they have to be on high alert. >> I'm not lying, officer. I'm telling you, they whistled. They were like made me want to fight. So, >> how'd you get over here? >> I just drove. >> What were you doing over here? I was just driving cuz my mind I have Look, you can look my history up. Look, you can look my history up. I have up history. >> Okay. I just like need to be mindless sometimes. >> It's better than beating an officer up. >> No, Karen. Assaulting random strangers on the street is definitely not better than assaulting an officer. Ideally, you shouldn't do either. Her strange reasoning of needing to be mindless certainly does not excuse her behavior. It seems that the poor people she had the altercation with were attacked unprovoked as well. >> What's the name on this? >> Yeah. What is it? >> I'm looking on what? >> Your driver's license. >> Yeah. >> Just telling you anything fruitful? >> No, not at all. >> I just >> Okay, miss. >> One second. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You can see me. You can see you're over here. Am I moving? >> You are moving. >> Okay, good. You can see me. >> Listen, just stay over here. Okay. >> Stay over here. I don't want to place you under arrest. >> I need arrest. I need you to say it out loud. Say it out loud. >> You're going to be placed under arrest if you don't comply. You understand that? >> All right. I understand. I understand. >> All right. Stop walking around then. >> I don't care who you're calling. >> And the voicemail that has not been set up yet. Her behavior is quickly escalating. And while the cops don't want to put her in cuffs, she doesn't really give him much choice. She starts acting erratic and expects the person on the phone to magically make the cops disappear. When she redials, it goes to voicemail. And we're getting some serious secondhand embarrassment for her part. >> You guys are dummies. Look around. There's aing couch full of bed bugs and mics. You guys are okay with that. That's up. You're up. You'reed up. You're up. >> Listen. Stop making a scene. >> No. >> Before you get locked up. >> What scene? >> Stop making a scene. >> Okay. What? What am I going to get locked up for? Stop making a scene. >> Oh my god. I'm so disorderly. You're right. I'm so what everybody in their houses are doing right now. >> Let me [ __ ] make a video of myself. >> Let me take a video of myself. Yes. >> Nice. There's kids around here and you're making a scene. That's very nice. Good job. >> Kids. >> You're making this more difficult job. Put your hand closer. >> Put your hand closer to my face. >> Karma. Karma. Karma. >> Where are you going? >> The cops are already getting tired of her bratty behavior. As it turns out, this would be the first of many nonsensical ramblings coming out of her mouth. She takes turns trying to swear at all the officers who've gathered here and even starts waving her hand in one officer's face. This is going way over the line. >> You're under arrest. What the [ __ ] >> You're under arrest. You keep [ __ ] around. You're not listening. >> You don't listen. How old are you? >> Then act like it. >> I don't know what your deal is tonight. >> Mine. >> You just want You just want the attention. Well, guess what? Now you got it. Okay, let's go. Let me go back here. >> You're wrong. >> Okay. You got yourself. >> I got you. They don't work. The cops have reached the limit of their patience with her, and it's so satisfying to see this entitled Karen being placed in handcuffs. That's what you get for treating the cops like you're running the show. Unfortunately, she would not learn her lesson, and there's a world of drama the cops would still have to deal with. >> He's a dick. His small >> Yo yo yo yo yo yo yo hey yo, you're hurting me. OW. >> Stop going away. You're hurting me. >> Why are you doing that? Why are you doing that? >> Sit in the car. Sit in the car. THERE YOU GO. >> SIT IN THE CAR. >> What am I doing wrong? >> You're not sitting down. >> I'm 110 lb. >> I'm going to have uh one female, 41. From being aggressive with the cops to claiming that they're hurting her, this woman truly pulls out all the stops. It's clear that the officer was not roughousing her by any means. And if the cops are hurting her, it's entirely her own fault. Loading her into the cop car was not an easy feat, and her complaints were not about to stop anytime soon. >> Giving you two stars of Uber sign. >> You think you're in an Uber right now? >> Huh? >> You think you're in an Uber right now? >> No. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Yeah. Then you don't say >> no. No, it's not that [ __ ] say that. >> Okay. >> You suck at driving. >> I do? >> Yeah. >> People said you suck at driving. >> People said you suck at driving. >> Me? >> Yeah. >> We're not sure if the woman is purposefully trying to irk the cop or if she really is in such an incoherent state of mind. With everything we've seen so far, we can confidently guess how the rest of the investigation's going to go once they arrive at the police station. >> Now, my head's bleeding. >> No, it's not. Where? >> I can't. >> Step out. Your head. >> Yeah. >> Step out. It's not bleeding, but Okay. Feel it. >> Huh? I'm not feeling it. I don't even feel it. There's no blood. >> Bleeding. >> It's not bleeding. >> Bleeding. >> You're not bleeding. >> I'm bleeding. I need medical attention. >> Okay, step out. >> Can't. >> Yeah, you can. >> No, I can't. My head hurts. My head hurts. >> All of a sudden? >> Yes, it is. >> All of a sudden. Okay, come inside. We'll we'll call first aid. >> I had so many. >> You want to go to the hospital? >> Yeah. >> Okay, that's fine. Come on. You got to get out of here. >> Okay, >> let's go. >> All right. Feel my head. >> No, >> it hurts. >> Not feeling your head. Come on. >> Okay, so then put gloves on. Please, please. I'm being >> 8376. >> Get the out of the car. >> Look at this. >> Stop. >> No. Look at my [ __ ] back. >> I see it. >> I'm hurt. that's been there. >> I'm telling you, I'm hurt. Please. >> Okay, let's go. >> Figning injury is one of the quickest ways to get on anyone's nerves. And the cop's not buying her story for a single second. She'll obviously receive the medical attention she's requesting, but she seems to just be getting a kick out of being difficult. >> Go. Come on. >> Stop. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. I'm telling you. Stop. You hurt my knee. >> What are you talking about? >> You hurt my knee. >> How long are you going to keep this episode up for? You hurt my knees. Seriously, face up. Just Just like give me a breath. I need breathing, please. I can't even breathe. >> All right. Well, we get inside. I could take those off. >> No, it's not about that. >> Well, it's hot in here still. Can we go inside? >> I'm getting beat up by four different people now at this point. Please stop. Please stop. >> Come on. We got to go inside. >> Bye. I don't know where the I am. My phone will show you everything. I have the GPS on. >> All right. Come on. Come on. We're not going to have an episode here. I have everything. Let's talk inside. Come on. >> Please stop grabbing me. >> Stop pulling away then and walk with me. You're 25 years old. You're hurting me. >> I got I got to help you because you're not listening. So, come on. Let's go. Walk. Come on. Let's walk. Come on. Walk. >> No. My elbow hurts. >> Oh, everything hurts. Let's go. No. This is This is ridiculous. I'm not playing this game all day. Let's go. Stop pulling away. Stop pulling away. Finally getting her out of the cop car was unfortunately a false sense of progress. And at one stage, she even requested a stretcher. Reality check. This is not some sort of five-star hotel. And the Karen was definitely pushing her luck. Everything from her knees to her elbow hurts. So much so that she apparently can't even take two steps. >> What do you want? >> You're not on drugs? You're kidding, right? Do I look that stupid? >> I'll take a piss test on your face. Uh, no. Absolutely not. That's disgusting. >> Yeah. Golden chow. >> That's disgusting. All right, stand up so I can take those off. >> Relax you. I want to punch you in the face. You got to take the ring off. >> The Karen decides to make a super vulgar comment to the cop. This is not only gross, but it also proves the cop's point that she has to be on some sort of drug or substance. No normal person acts this way, at least not from what we've seen. Thankfully, the officer's suffering would soon come to an end. >> Can you check the back of my head? >> I have a concussion. >> I feel >> No, no, no. Up here. >> Stop your hand. Move your hand. >> I went to nursing school. >> Okay. I don't see anything wrong. No, no. I'm telling you, please. >> What? Help me do it again. I'm trying to >> brown eyes. >> Okay. Where? >> All right. Right. >> Like this hurts >> here. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> All right. All right. >> You got me. >> There's no blood. >> There's no blood. >> No blood doesn't mean no. >> I know. I'm just saying. But you said you were bleeding before. I'm telling you that there was no blood. >> I felt that he was bleeding. >> Okay. Well, there's no blood. Oh, it feels like external trauma. >> Okay. >> She finally gets the officer to check the back of her head. Big surprise. There were no injuries or bleeding, but you could have easily guessed that as well. Her changes in demeanor and her angry facial expressions are quite unsettling, though, and we can guess that she definitely has some mental issues that need to be addressed. >> Officer. >> Uh-huh. >> Can I get a phone call, please? >> No, cuz you're going to be released on summons and you're going to be out of here soon. >> You're going to be out of here soon? >> No. No. No, no. I need my car, my keys, my phone, and then I need to be out of here. If you cannot guarantee me that, then my genie, I guarantee you, please give me a phone call right now. >> County vehicles removed. >> Give me a phone call. >> It's not good. This woman is really just looking for reasons to be difficult now since she angrily demands all her possessions right after the cop informs her that she'd be out of there soon. We feel sorry for all the people who need to deal with her next. Judging by her track record, this won't be the last time she gets into legal trouble. >> This is your property. >> Can you sign right there? >> Um when my lawyer is present. >> Okay. So, you don't want to resign. You don't want to sign this? >> Not yet. No. >> Okay. This is not going to incriminate you or anything. your property. >> Okay. So, you refused to sign it. >> Is that correct? >> No, not refusing. >> What do you call it? >> Can I call my lawyer? >> Not right now. >> You said no phone call. >> Yeah. >> You want to sign this or not? >> You don't. >> Here's the uh to shoot vehicle. >> The fact that she doesn't even want to sign the document to confirm her own property just makes her look like an idiot. When the second cop comes in, she starts ranting again. They had no choice but to ignore the woman and talk over her. Thankfully, she was just about ready to leave. The woman was released on a court summon. She was charged with resisting and having an open container of alcohol in her car. Only a few months later, she would be arrested for DUI. On October 10th, 2022, the police noticed a car with an illegal license plate stuck to its back window. The police prepared for a routine traffic stop, but it would turn into something far more deserving of their attention. All because of the driver's unpleasant attitude. >> Here, what's your first name? >> Moana. >> How do you spell that? >> J. >> Is your license out of Florida or Ohio? >> Ohio. >> Ohio. Okay. All right. Stay tight. One second. She She knows she's not supposed to be driving. She got She already has gotten stopped for this. >> What's she doing in there, too? >> So, she got she's gotten issued a citation for this October 1st, so 6 days ago. >> She got an attitude, too. the initiative. >> First thing that isn't >> Oh, yeah. No, it's not the It's not the fact of the matter of knowledge or not. It's the fact of the matter of our of 1015ing on this. B is out here with us, so I'll go grab her so we can go up there cuz B is going to do a female P and then we'll do our inventory of the vehicle and everything. >> The suspect identified by the officer as Tana is already showing a bit of an attitude. Upon checking the database, the officer finds that she's already been issued a citation for the license plate issue and also notes her sassy demeanor. After confirming this, the next step is to conduct a search on the suspect and check what's in her vehicle. But it seems like Tana has other plans. Thomas um my proof that I'm valid and my insurance and all that. I just wanted to make sure you guys >> go ahead and step out of the vehicle for me. >> Uh for what? >> Step out of the vehicle for me and I'll explain everything to you. Um, well, >> if you step out of the vehicle now, that's an order. >> If you don't, I will take you out of the vehicle. >> Why do Why are you acting like this over a license plate? >> It's not over a license plate. Please step out of the vehicle. >> What's What do you mean? >> Miss Thomas, please step out of the vehicle. >> This is your last warning. Please step out of the vehicle before I remove you from being rude. >> Cuz you're not complying at this point. >> I'm trying to ask what what >> I told you. I'll explain that to you when you step out of the vehicle. >> I don't feel comfortable stepping out of the vehicle. >> Okay. Please step out of the vehicle. You're being placed under arrest. How's that? For what? >> Driving while license suspended on the first you >> No, my license is not suspended. I just tried to show you that. >> Your license still is suspended out of Ohio. You were >> I just tried to show you that. I literally Okay, as of right now, you're being detained. How's that? >> Are youing serious? My license valid. I'm calling my insurance agent right now. Like right now. I'm not stepping out of the vehicle. Bro, please don't touch me. Hey, PLEASE DON'T TOUCH ME. HEY, WHAT THE >> stand up? Put your hands ON YOUR BACK. PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND your back. >> You're now being charged resisting. >> I'm not resisting. >> Toana repeatedly refused to step out of the vehicle, wearing the officer's patience thin. Instead of calmly following the issued orders, she argued and displayed frustration, even when warned that there would be consequences. This is already considered resisting arrest. But she's not stopping there. >> No, please don't touch me. Please don't touch me. Please don't touch me. Please don't touch my phone. I'm recording this situation. >> That's fine. I'm putting your phone down cuz you're not under arrest for resistance. >> Please stop. >> No. >> Oh my god. Why are you guys like this? >> 41. You're susceptible. 105. >> I just tried to show you THAT I'M VALID. I LITERALLY just vehicle. >> Because of what? I told you why. WANT TO KNOW WHY I told you why? >> And I was just I literally JUST FLAGGED YOU GUYS DOWN TO SHOW YOU MY PAPERWORK. >> I LITERALLY TOLD YOU. >> Are you serious? I have been very compliant. >> No. When I tell you to step out of a VEHICLE >> WHEN YOU'RE NOT TELLING A PERSON WHY THAT'S illegal anything that I need to be aware about. >> No. No. I mean, what do I have on me? >> I just have to check before you go to the jail. >> The female officer begins patting Toana down and also informs her that her car will be towed. Tana didn't take this lightly at first. However, all of a sudden, she drops her attitude. Now, we can watch her act like a victim. >> Can I please call somebody so they can come get my car? >> Toad. Please stop. That's my That's my livelihood. >> Seriously, turn the car. >> Oh my god. You guys are crazy. >> No. >> DO YOU NOT REALIZE? >> NO. I WAS TRYING. >> I made the situation worse for you. >> I was talking to you. >> No. >> That's bull. >> That's not bull. >> It is when you have proof that I'm open. >> Can you please let me call somebody to get my truck, PLEASE? THAT IS MY ONLY WAY TO WORK. Please >> in the vehicle. Oh my god. Please. I'm begging you. This is my life. In the vehicle. I don't live here. >> In the vehicle. Stop making this worse for yourself. You're already getting charged and RESISTING CHARGE. >> ALL I WANT to do is cause someone to get my vehicle. Please >> by resisting me and resisting my orders and then trying to pull away from us. I am not going to work with you on that. >> You make my job harder. I am not going to be nice. >> Think about why I did. Okay. I It doesn't matter why. I gave you a lawful order to exit the vehicle. >> Please listen. Please. Please listen to me. That's all I'm asking you. Please speak. You can sit in the vehicle while you speak. >> Look, I just got out of living out of my vehicle. I just came down here, okay? I just found out that I was unknowingly driving while under suspension. I fixed that [ __ ] yesterday. >> Tana continues arguing, claiming she has paperwork in her phone that'll prove the original issue had already been solved. Even if that were true, refusing to comply with an officer's lawful order will still get you arrested. Despite the victim act, she still claims she's in the right and adds a few not so believable claims. >> I was told to show you guys paperwork if I get pulled over and that is what I was trying to do. >> Here's the deal, though. When I'm telling you to exit the vehicle, cuz I have a lawful reason because on my end, >> but you didn't tell me. >> You can't just tell somebody get >> I can't tell you. Yes, I can. >> No, you can't. That's that's illegal. >> Okay. Have you been a police officer or a lawyer? >> Actually, I have plenty of friends who are officers. >> Have you? >> Doesn't matter if I train. Yes, actually I have gone through legal training. I was going to be aing lawyer. >> Okay, then you should know when an officer gives you a lawful order. I even told you whatever. >> I even told you you're being placed under arrest. >> The officer has had enough. So, he orders Tana to put her legs inside the vehicle. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, all of her screaming turned into intense sobbing. >> Put your legs inside. Please let me cause your legs inside the vehicle. Please put your legs. Please, I am begging you. Let me cause your legs inside the vehicle before I go on the other side and I pull you through the vehicle and MAKE YOU BEGGING YOU. I JUST WANT TO CAUSE >> PUT YOUR LEGS IN THE CAR. >> This is I just Please. >> Legs in the car. >> Please. >> Legs in the car. >> Legs in the car. >> I'm only asking to let somebody get my vehicle. Please. >> Your car is being towed. I've already called the record. >> Why would you do that? Please. >> Because you've already tried to freaking resist on us. That's why. Not listening. >> No. Because legs IN THE CAR. ARRESTING ME FOR some false. >> No. For drawing a license suspended with knowledge and resisting arrest inside the vehicle >> suspended oncoming traffic. Okay. >> It's never a good idea to disrespect the cops when they ask you to do something. It always backfires. Finally, she gives in and admits that she has a little something on her that she's not supposed to. It'll now be clear why she acted the way she did in the first place. >> Ma'am, really quick, is there anything officers are going to find in that vehicle? Cuz it's better that you say so now. >> It's better that you say so now. >> Anything. I mean, I got stuff in my book bag just cuz I smoke. But I haven't been smoking. There's no in there. I just need somebody to please get my vehicle. Please. Please. I have no other transportation. >> Is it the book bag that she's looking at right now that has it? >> No, that's that's my wallet. That's what I told her to get. I just need my phone and my wallet, please. >> Okay. But there's weed in your book bag. >> No, there's not weed in my book bag. There's a grinder. That's it. >> Okay, there's a grinder, but there's they're not going to find anything else. >> No, >> I just Please let me call somebody to get my vehicle, please. >> The officers now have to discuss the situation and make a decision. They noted that she had a previous offense. After this, Tana still kept trying to convince the cops to feel some sympathy for her, but with her history and the way she acted, the cops couldn't offer her much. >> She's suspended and we issued her a citation for without knowledge less literally 6 days ago. And >> she's driving again. >> Yep. That's okay. >> Can you please let me call my insurance guy, please? >> Grab your ID and wallet and your phone. >> Can you grab my phone so he can call my insurance agent? >> Please, >> I will give you the code to my phone so you can call my agent, please. >> Hold on. Your car's getting towed. You're going to jail regardless. >> I And I'm trying to show you I'm innocent and you're taking me to jail for nothing >> because you still resisted. That's the issue. No, you said I was resisting because I'm trying to show you I'm innocent and you didn't like that. >> Swear she's innocent. Her license is not running. >> You know what? Should have some kind of proof that it is. >> She's trying to say my insurance agent said you insurance agents don't have that. >> Toana was in trouble from the very start, having been caught behind the steering wheel only 6 days after a citation. Toana was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting without violence, and driving on a suspended license. Had she been polite and compliant from the start, she would have been far better off. On the 11th of November 2023, officers responded to a call about a theft happening at a local gas station in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Cody Anderson was trying to buy some cigarettes, but he didn't have his ID with him, so they couldn't sell him any. He responded by grabbing the cigarettes from the employee and running out of the store. The officers arrived on the scene and immediately talked to the store employee. Basically what happened is he came in, he wanted to buy two cartons of cigarettes. And I said, "Can I see your ID?" Cuz he looked younger. I didn't recognize him. He goes, "I don't have my ID." I'm like, "I'm sorry, I cannot sell them to you." And he's like, "I'll do anything. What do you want? How much is it going to cost? What do you want?" I said, "I can't sell them to you." He like grabbed them from my hands and took off running out the door. So, I started chasing him and then I'm like, "I'm not supposed to do that." Adrenaline was flowing and so I said, "I'm calling the cops." Well, then Tony said he did drop a $100 bill out there. >> It's not 100 bucks. >> I have no idea. What does it cost? >> It's like 200. >> Oh, really? >> Oh, yeah. >> Do you have any video of the guy? >> Larry's reaching for the cigarettes. Mary grabbed them. Mary after him. >> I'll see if I can identify him and, you know, have him come back and pay for the rest. >> 25 minutes later, Cody decided to do something even crazier. He ran his car through a locked gate of the Lacrosse Regional Airport. Workers at the airport said they saw him doing multiple donuts around one of the airplanes and then driving down the runway before he stopped close to a small jet. >> He got on the jet. >> He got on the jet. >> 94. I copy that. He also did a display of knives and I believe he's going to be my theft suspect from Quick Magic Vehicle. >> Airplane's ready to start. You ready? I could hit the door one time. >> Well, let's wait till we get enough people here. Well, he's got a knife on a plane. >> No, but he has access and he hasn't powered up. >> Can you shut it off from here? >> No. >> Yeah. Go right through it. He actually just sold two cartons. He's up in the window. >> He's putting his on. Hey, >> open the door. Open the door. Open the door. >> Come out. >> Get out now. >> I'm going to be >> Get out now. >> Open it again. I'm going to be back and come out. I don't have another cartridge. >> Come out now. Show me your hands. >> You have a taser cartridge. >> Show me your hands now. >> I've been practicing. >> Come here. >> Show me your firstart. >> Police. Show me your hands now. >> I'll take lethal cover. >> Let's move this way. Move this way so you got lethal. >> POLICE. COME OUT NOW. >> I CAN'T SEE HIM FROM THERE. >> I can see him over here. >> The officers were able to hit Cody once with a beanag round, but he continued to wave around his knife. One of the officers sneaks up to the plane and deploys a can of pepper spray in an attempt to get Cody out of the plane. However, that only made Cody even more erratic. And then he said something to the officers that no one could have expected. >> Police, come out now. >> I will cut you. I am a suicide bomber. >> You're under arrest. Come out. >> Allah Akbar. >> There's no vehicle button. >> I don't for saying Allah Akbar and that he's a suicide bomber. >> Come out with your hands out. Do it now, sir. I just want to talk and see what's going on. Come on. afraid for my entire life. >> All right, come down there. We're going to talk. Okay, >> I'm going to cut my wrist. >> Sir, step out of the plate. >> Don't Don't force Don't force it right now. >> Yep. Hughes is coming. K9. >> I don't feel deployment in there or not, but >> with the knife. >> I know. >> Do you guys have any uh other gas options or not? >> Not down at the department. >> Hey, what's your name, sir? >> Bobby. >> Bobby. Police department. Can you step out, sir? We just want to help you out. Come on. >> We need gas or something. He's in their basement with a knife. It's fine. >> Can you step out and talk to us, please? Drop the knife. >> He's got the knife in his right hand. >> Drop the knife. >> Left hand. Left hand. >> Sir, we don't want to hurt you. Just come out. We want to talk. No one wants to hurt you, >> sir. Drop the knife and come out, sir. >> What? If you shut the door, [ __ ] pilot. I won't blow it up here. >> If he moves across that door, bag him. >> Why don't you step out of the car and we'll talk. Okay. What's your name, bud? >> Bag him again. Bag him again. Bag him again. Did he drop the knife? I can't see it. >> I can't tell. >> No, it's still in his hand. still in his hand. >> Drop the knife. >> Cody, just come out, man. >> Sir, come out. You won't be hurt. >> Just come out. We don't want to hurt you. >> Right back to the right. >> Yeah, when he when he crossed, don't worry, he bean bagged him, hit him good, but he still got the knife. >> The officers tell Cody that he won't be harmed if he comes out of the plane with his hands in the air. Now, with everything Cody said, it's possible that he's either under the influence of alcohol or or he has a mental health issue. Either way, the officers have to get him off the plane and into cuffs. >> Hands up. Hands empty, Cody. Just step out here. >> Promise not to shoot. >> We will not shoot you. We will not hurt you if you come out with your hands up. Empty. Thank you. >> You just threw something else, too. >> It's on the top step. All right, let's see your hands, buddy, and just walk out. >> Oh, you just come out. Keep your hands up, buddy. Okay, >> drop. Drop it. Just drop it. Drop it. >> Come on out. Let's see your hands. Let's see your hands. >> Come on, bud. Just your hands. >> Drop it. >> Hands. Hands. Hands. >> Drop it. >> Show your hands now. >> Go around. >> Another taser. >> Drop it now. >> To the left. >> Go up for the Go for the shield. If you're going to tase him, >> tase him. >> Pull us down here. Slow it down. >> Cody, where are you from? >> I don't like them. I don't like them. >> How do we end up here today? Can you talk to me? What's your plan today? Do you have any explosives with you? What What kind of explosives do you have? C4. Where did you get that? >> Government. >> Cody threatened to blow the airplane up with C4 explosives, which he claimed he got from the government. He told the officers that he had a dead man switch and two handguns on the plane. Cody tells the officers that he'll give them the switch if they allow him to go to the bathroom first. >> We can't let you take it, but we can get you to a bathroom. We can uh can have you come down here and then we can get you to a bathroom. I can tell you that. There's one right in the hanger. >> All you got to do is back off so I can take the switch. Back up 30 ft. >> Well, you can only back up if you're starting to come out, though. But come on. You're not moving, man. >> Because I got shot in the leg. >> Okay. Well, we'll get you some help for that, but we got to have you move if we move. Okay. Come to the top of the stairs. >> Come to the top. >> Up and I'll give you the bomb. >> Okay. Come to the top of the stairs. No. >> Come on. >> No. >> We're back pretty far, man. >> Back off. I'll give you the bomb. >> Well, we backed up and you didn't come to the stairs. >> You're still within range of C4, so you didn't really >> Okay. You can't back off that far. We'll take two more steps back if you come to the top of the stairs. Okay, Cody. We're going to throw you a little camera to look at. Okay. You can talk to it. All right. It's going to be right in the middle here. >> According to the staff here, there's not not anybody else. Cody says Cody. >> Cody, >> let's keep keep lethal in there though. Somebody if he does have a gun. >> Cody, I can't hear you. You got to come to the stairs. >> They're all shot. >> Come on out, brother. We'll get you to the bathroom. >> He just stole two burns of cigarettes from truck. >> Same suspect. >> You can clear. >> The officers talk a bit and realize that there's an even bigger problem at the moment. If Cody even has a slight idea of how to fly a plane, he could easily turn the plane and take off. Luckily, workers at the airport realize that they can disable the jet's battery at the back of the plane. And all the officers have to do now is get Cody off that plane without anyone getting hurt. >> Your hands, we don't want to hurt you. Okay? Stand up for me. We got to stabilize. We got a spot. Clear the rest quick. Is there a back cigarettes here? >> There's my stolen cigarettes. >> Yep. Found my stolen cigarettes. He's my my suspect in my cigarette. >> You guys check for tas. I don't know where they're at. >> I don't know if they hit them or not. I get that cover shot. >> Cody got six charges after this incident with felony counts of attempted carjacking with a weapon, attempted robbery with threat of force, making terrorist threats, bomb scares, failure to comply, and misdemeanor criminal damages to property. Lacrosse officers gave this case to the FBI, so Cody might even get more charges added. Cody Anderson's cash bond was set at $500,000. And as of right now, Cody might get a plea deal and be sent to the Mandota State Hospital. We're heading to Ohio, and a girlfriend who's as wild as the state's reputation in modern-day internet culture. In November 2023, a worried mother called the authorities to check up on her son. He hadn't been in contact with the family for some time, and the mother thought the girlfriend may have turned off his phone. The police arrived, and the man said he had simply lost the device. However, not long after, the man's sister checked up on him and found that the girlfriend had taken the man's phone and laptop. The cops arrived and encountered the man, his abusive girlfriend, and his sister at the residence. >> I told you I'm trying to be nice, >> Austin. You have his stuff. >> I don't have his stuff. >> Stuff. I asked you to get your nicely. >> Austin, I have stuff is everywhere. Austin. Austin. No, you don't. >> Austin, they're trying to separate us again if I get to stay with them. Listen, you two can step outside together. Come here. >> But everybody, Austin, protect our stuff. Make everybody come outside. Austin, everybody, don't leave anybody in here alone with your stuff. I'm trying to protect both of our >> Austin. They're trying to separate us. >> Let me take the sister. Okay. >> Let me take the sister. Come out here. >> They're trying to separate us. Look, not separate us. >> Do me a favor. Step downstairs for me. I'll come back down here. Talk to you in a minute. >> Isn't that bad? She won't get back. His computer is together. He's already plugging in. Is it all they care about is your computer and your phone. Think about it. >> Because that's >> that's all >> mine. That's >> your sister up. Back up. >> Why does care about your computer phone? Why? >> Because that's >> this is what you can have, >> you know. Why do you tell them where it's at? I don't. He was getting ready to plug it in. Why are you separated? >> Austin, you're protecting Austin. >> In the very first minute, we're already seeing so many red flags here. One of the officers is taking the man outside the residence while they're dealing with a woman. However, pay close attention to her actions all throughout this segment as she'll do anything to try and manipulate her boyfriend and the officers all throughout the process. As the girlfriend is still causing a scene, the officer talks to the man candidly and calmly. >> Do you want her in the house with you, >> Austin? >> I was just trying to help her to get >> Do you want her to stay in the house with you? >> What the hell out going on? >> I need to figure out them to leave. not celebrate us. Austin, >> you want them to stay or do you want her to leave Austin? Your family didn't even want you to spend Thanksgiving this year. You want to spend Thanksgiving together. Austin said you believe. Stop talking, but stop talking. >> Listen. Listen. >> Last time. Stop talking for 5 minutes and let me talk to him. You got me. Listen. >> Can you talk to us together? >> No. I'm talking to Austin >> cuz this is in Austin. Exactly. Look, we could never be together. Why? >> Just wait. I am talking to him. I'm not trying to take >> I'm not trying to take him away on either. >> If you just wait. If you wait 5 minutes and let me talk to Austin. >> If you ever needed a real definition of what a gas lighter is, this woman might be the perfect example. There's a lot to unpack here. And the man, Austin, is visibly fed up by all this. The cops are doing their best to calm the woman down, but there seems to be no reasoning with her. She just keeps talking over them, trying to emotionally manipulate everyone in sight. The officer calmly talks to Austin and very reasonably presents the situation and some of the rational options in front of him. But the woman's just not backing down. >> This is your place. You tell me what you want. >> Austin, get rid of the >> And that's what's going to happen if I don't get >> You just don't know what you want. >> No, we're not. Why does this involve property involve his safety? All you care about is property and not his safety. >> Listen, I'm going to tell you one more time. Okay? >> I need you to calm down. >> All I care about is your property, not your safety. >> Think about it. That's all everybody's asking for is your property. >> Last name then, Austin, please come back for me. >> She's probably going to get a little bit cuz I'm going to take him downstairs. Come on. >> Let's go downstairs and talk. >> Don't separate us. >> I'm not I'm not trying to take you away from your place. I just want to take you downstairs so then you can actually talk to me without her. All right. save me. They call me and then you if you settle down right now if you don't leave my side come to me. Don't leave me. >> Don't go down there. Don't go down there. Don't leave me. Austin, please don't leave. >> It's very likely that Austin feels some emotional attachment to this woman. At the same time, he also feels very conflicted and is by now aware that his girlfriend's extremely manipulative. Apart from talking non-stop and playing a victim, notice the tone of her voice and how she's trying to play into his emotions. Her next line is just borderline comedic. Fortunately, the cops are handling this. And Austin's sister is also there to talk some sense into him. >> Hey, listen. >> He's trying to block our flight. >> Will you listen to me? >> Austin, remember your dad wants to talk to you who you've been missing for 24 hours. I have >> a dog. >> You're good. See, she might freak out for a minute. If you want to go get down there and talk, go ahead and go down and talk. >> Just don't quit freaking out. Settle down. And >> as long as you stay here, Austin, >> he's going to go talk to his dad on the phone. >> Why do they want to separate us? They won't even let me out to you. You have to come to me. Can I stay Austin? Look at me. >> Don't give it to them, Austin. Don't show them where it's at. >> Listen, >> don't show him yet. Can I come in? Austin. >> Austin. Austin, don't show them. You have to plug my phone in. Austin, >> there's no question. It's always good for the cops to have cameras on them. Apart from sharing these stories with the world, it's also possible to review any culprit's words and actions. The woman mentioned that Austin should not show something to the police and that he should first plug her phone in. This is just another one of those red flags that's not going to help her. However, the woman keeps escalating the situation. And now she's going to get even more persistent. >> Don't Don't shut THE DOOR, AUSTIN. AUSTIN, NO. AUSTIN, NO. AUSTIN, HE'S SMILING. LET ME IN. LET ME IN. AUSTIN, >> JUST CALM DOWN. >> AUSTIN. AUSTIN, YOU'RE SMILING. LET me in. Don't give it to him. No. YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN HURT. >> PUT YOUR HANDS on me. YOU'RE GOING TO GET AUSTIN. AUSTIN, AUSTIN, YOU HAVE TO SAVE ME. AUSTIN, DON'T GIVE UP. What the is going on? >> Austin. Austin. >> Five. You want to head this way? >> AUSTIN, COME ON. THEY'RE GONNA TAKE ME AWAY. HE SAID I COULD STAY. I'M ROMAN DOWN. HE SAID I COULD STAY. >> LISTEN. Just calm down. Calm down. >> Austin, open the door. >> Open the door. AUSTIN, I CAN'T SEE YOU. LET GO. LET HIM OPEN THE DOOR. >> NO. The door's not open. >> Austin. Austin, please don't show them. Austin, THEY JUST GOT US SEPARATED. THEY GOT ME ON THE OUTSIDE AND YOU ON THE INSIDE. >> WE clearly cannot see the cop's face, but whether he was smiling or not, as the woman keeps saying, isn't really important. This was yet another one of her attempts to keep pushing her narrative and manipulate Austin. However, she's getting really desperate, and it's not working out for her. With each new word she utters, the cops get more annoyed. Although, they're still trying to solve things than Icewing. >> You're not allowed TO DO THIS. YOU HAVE TO LET US SEE EACH OTHER. YOU'RE BREAKING THE RULES, AUSTIN. AUSTIN. >> I just said that there. >> Okay, watch out. I'm going to go walk out. Austin, can I still say Austin? Can I come back in? >> Austin, can I come in? >> Austin, can I come in? >> Hey, listen. You're >> going to give me Austin, right? So, all you have to do is end this. >> Let come up. Who's on the phone? Come in the fun. Austin, can I come in? Watch out. They're going to My stuff's in there. >> Okay. They're going to talk. >> I need to get No one's going to talk. My dog's in there. Can I come in? Austin, >> they're not letting me in. >> You are right. >> Don't shut the door. >> Listen. >> Austin, AUSTIN, DON'T LEAVE ME. AUSTIN, DON'T SHUT THE DOOR. AUSTIN. >> HEY, STOP. >> NO. >> YOU JUST GRABBED ME. OKAY. >> EVERYBODY'S BEEN HURTING ME AND I DON'T KNOW WHY. >> NO ONE'S TOUCHING ME. >> AUSTIN, DO NOT SHOW YOUR SISTER. >> WELL, NOW she remembers that her dog's inside. On a serious note, she stoops to a new low by not wanting Austin to talk to his sister. On top of all this, she's really close to getting into physical contact with the officers. However, we can't help but chuckle at least a little bit at what she says next and how the cop responds. >> What the going on? WHAT IS GOING ON? >> I WANT to know what's going on with you. >> Me, too. >> Do you need help? >> Are you something going on? >> No. We're >> weeping. We're getting married. >> I'd like to talk to him, please. >> Well, Can I have a lighter? Please do not. Ma'am, >> maybe Austin listen. What I'm going to tell you is >> Okay. >> You're not going to tell me what to do first. You got that. Okay. You understand? >> I'm looking for a lighter. >> Smoke a cigarette. >> All right. >> Go downstairs. Smoke a cigarette. >> I'm not leaving Austin. >> Right now you are. >> Why? >> Because I'm telling you you're going to right now while they're talking. >> Okay. You are causing more of an issue right now than what needs to be. There's people in 10:03 is trying to sleep and they can't because you're out here yelling. >> We tried to get them off because they have kids stuff out here. >> At what point? The jacket. That's kid stuff. >> The only thing >> the rest of the stuff is attire. >> Although the whole background isn't entirely clear from the footage, it seems that the woman has a child or children from a previous partner. Anyhow, after some more shouting from her end and some back and forth with the cops, the woman once again goes full-on guilt tripping and tries to provoke Austin to act somehow. At the same time, the cops at the scene are getting seriously irritated with her behavior. >> Austin. Austin, this cop is trying TO MAKE ME GO DOWNSTAIRS. AUSTIN, ONLY YOU CAN MAKE ME LEAVE. >> BEFORE you lost, >> what the >> Oh, >> what is going on? >> I don't know what's going on. You tell me. Austin, YOU HAVE TO LET ME BACK IN, PLEASE. >> I can't tell you what's going on, >> but what I can tell you is you're really too close to me. If you would scoot back, >> can you get me a lighter? >> Yeah, if you want a lighter, I'll get you a lighter. >> Austin, can I have my stuff? >> Hang on. >> Austin, please give me my stuff. Austin. >> Austin, start taking me away. >> All right, let's go downstairs. >> Hi. >> Let's go downstairs. >> Come on. Let's go downstairs. >> My stuff. My dog. >> I'm going to ask you one more time to come downstairs. >> Can I have my stuff? >> Yes. You were going to wrong about it. >> We're going to get your stuff here. >> Okay. In a minute. >> Yes. Let's go downstairs. >> They're making me leave, Austin. >> We're not making you leave. We're just trying to separate you and go down there. >> Me, too. >> Okay. We're going to let you go downstairs and talk to the sergeant. >> I don't want to talk to that sergeant. >> That's what I want you to do. >> Why? >> Because >> Okay. In a minute, please. >> No, I want you to go downstairs. >> At this point, the woman continues to be defiant. And by the way, has anyone counted how many times she said Austin? Moving forward, the plot thickens a little as the woman's former husband appears at the scene. And maybe a bit unexpectedly, he's there to support Austin and shed more light on the situation. He's probably been through some of the same drama as well. Another cop is downstairs and addresses the new character in this story. >> Who are you to this situation? I'm her ex-husband where his mom posted on Facebook that he had been missing for a few hours and that she couldn't get a hold of him. I reached out to his mom and I've been talking on the phone with his mom. His mom's on the phone behind her. She just wanted me to come over to make sure that nothing happened to her daughter. She came over here to check on him. >> Is she over here? Who's over? >> Her her daughter is. She's >> Now, that's an interesting twist. The ex-husband is on Austin's side, and he's here to help support Austin's mother. Just to avoid confusion in this whole mess, the daughter he's mentioning here is Austin's sister, whom we saw earlier. Meanwhile, the girlfriend continues on with her show, and the cop who is downstairs comes to intervene. Even though he was a bit further away, he's also fed up with the scene she's making. >> Hey, stop it. He told you 15 times to sit right there. Just sit right THERE FOR 5 SECONDS. JUST SIT RIGHT THERE FOR 5 seconds. >> I just Okay. >> So, I can talk to him and you can figure out what's going on cuz you don't know what's going on obviously cuz you're freaking out. So, just give me a second. >> I haven't seen my friend in 2 years. >> I haven't seen him in two years. So, >> awesome. Like, listen to them. Do you see what they're saying? We're going to bring all your stuff out. >> All right, we're going to bring Can I still slide your butt back? Look, >> look. Where's the door going? Come out here and talk to me. Austin, >> Austin, >> Austin, >> stand back here. >> You're getting way too close. >> I am. >> Austin, they took my stuff. Austin, they took my bag. Austin, THEY TOOK MY BAGS AND MY PASSWORD. AUSTIN, they're not. >> YES, THEY DID. THEY'RE NOT IN HERE. AUSTIN. AUSTIN. My jack bag. My jack bag. My red bag. >> What is a jack bag? >> Austin, look at me. >> Austin. >> That's right. >> Austin, >> if you've been following this whatsoever, it's obvious that she's not capable of sitting still for even 5 seconds. Whatever the cops say, she repeats the same old narrative over and over again. But apart from causing a disturbance in the middle of the night, she's also once again getting in physical contact with the cops. It's nothing serious yet, but she's clearly stepping over the line here. >> Only you can stay. I CAN STAY. AUSTIN, I don't want to be >> Austin. YOU WON'T. IF YOU PROTECT ME, >> AUSTIN, YOU HAVE TO PROTECT ME. AUSTIN, >> MA'AM, WHAT IS YOUR NAME? What is your name? >> Austin. >> Austin. >> Austin. Tanya, >> Austin, >> you're not making your book. >> Austin, >> any of this any better? >> Austin, please. >> Can you make sure you got all your stuff? >> Hey, go where? He crashed my car. >> Right now, you need to make sure you have it all. >> You take the blame for your car. I know. >> I know. Austin, look at me. >> After a while, the woman's stuff has been removed from the residence by Austin and the cops. The guilt tripping routine isn't working out for her, and the cops have given her plenty of warnings at this point. And honestly, they've been more than patient with her. But everyone has their limits. >> Okay, you're you're you're treading on thin ice. >> Okay, >> stop touching him. Don't get in his face. >> You're not getting back in the apartment. He done told you. So, quit trying to push past him. >> Austin, I put gas in your truck. Can I put my stuff in your truck? Austin. Austin, I cannot carry all this and keep >> You know where you're at right now? >> Yes, I do. Austin, I'm in Ohio. Austin, >> what day is it? >> Austin, Thursday. >> Austin, exactly. I know where I'm at. Austin, >> that is >> Austin, listen to me. Austin, let me answer that. >> He doesn't want her. Get off the fork. Where do you want to go? >> Austin, can I put my stuff in your trunk? Can you take me somewhere safe? >> Where do you want to go? >> I want to take you to QUESTION. >> YES. YES. AUSTIN. YES. SHE JUST SAID NO. >> I'M GOING TO TELL YOU one more time. >> Don't touch me. >> Okay, enough is enough. Her stuff is now out and the cops have no choice but to drag her down. Since she's been warned so many times and won't leave the property, they've decided to take more drastic measures. But now that she's even more desperate, she won't go down that easily. Apart from kicking and screaming, she doubles down on her same old routine, all while getting cuffed. >> Will you still take me SOMEWHERE SAFE? AUSTIN, PLEASE BREAK MY ARM. AUSTIN, >> PUT YOUR HAND BEHIND YOUR BACK, PLEASE. >> AUSTIN, LOOK WHAT they're doing. >> Why? Austin, LOOK AT THIS. LOOK WHAT THEY'RE DOING. AUSTIN, LOOK WHAT THEY'RE DOING. THE AFTERLIFE. AUSTIN, PROTECT ME. AUSTIN, please look at me. Please look at me. I >> Austin. Austin, look. >> He said he would TAKE ME SOMEWHERE SAFE. AUSTIN, LOOK AT ME. Look what THEY'RE DOING RIGHT NOW. YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS. LOOK, AUSTIN. >> AUSTIN, LOOK. THAT ONE. >> Fortunately for Austin and the neighbors, the woman is finally being taken to the police car. But as they're trying to put her inside, it seems she has a few more tricks up her sleeve. So, she comes up with a new tactic. Suddenly, she realizes that she needs to pee. Perfect timing, HUH? >> GET IN THE CAR. >> TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON. >> Get in the car. >> I will. Let's do IT RIGHT NOW. >> AUSTIN. >> AUSTIN, PROTECT ME. >> You got the front. AUSTIN. AUSTIN really a hobble. >> Stop. >> Just stop. >> Then let me sit down. >> Well, you're trying to PUT YOU IN A CAR. >> I'M about to push back. >> I'm about to pee. >> I'm serious. I don't want to piss my pants. I'm being pissed. >> Get in the car. >> I just need to go and piss. >> We're not pissing. >> I have to pee. >> Just have a seat in my car. >> Sit down. >> You could have already took you to the bathroom. If you would just sat down, we would >> I didn't pee. Give us a second. >> I need to pee now. >> Whatever she's trying to pull off here, it's not going to work out. Come on. These are the same exact manipulating methods she's been using. And judging by what we saw, it seems that this is the only thing she knows how to do, and she's not even particularly good at it. Curiously, she keeps asking what's going on. And the cops make it clear that she's going to jail for disorderly conduct. But before she gets in the car, this woman makes one final scene. >> You want a PP? I HAVE TO PULL MY PANTS DOWN. >> NO, PEE RIGHT THERE. >> I CAN'T. I'M GOING TO PEE. >> Put in hold it. >> I >> And quit acting like a 2-year-old so we can get you in the car. >> Let me pee right here. I can't run nowhere, can I? I can't run anywhere. I can't run anywhere. I've done nothing. >> Got three of smokes in the truck exit. >> Are you done? >> AUSTIN. AUSTIN. GOD, please be. You're breaking my wrist. Please. >> Will then calm down. >> Let me get you in the backseat. >> Fine. Please. Please let me pee. CAN I PULL MY PANTS OUT right here? Please. >> No, you can't pull out. >> You're going to expose yourself and that's enough. >> I don't care. >> No. >> They finally managed to get her in the patrol car as she's taken into custody. The officers at the scene talk to Austin and try to clear things up. They also address the woman's wrecked car, which was something she blamed Austin for. Unsurprisingly, this turned out to be yet another lie. >> Where's her car at now? Add a tooling/p wreck a lot cuz she was trying to have tell me I wrecked her car and that's I the one driving which I was not. She was driving and we she trying get to somewhere where she had to go and she was thinking hadn't put the blame on me that I wrecked her car which I did not. >> Now that was one hell of a night shift for the cops. They'll definitely need some rest after this. The woman was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Whatever happened afterwards, we definitely feel bad for her cellmates. On a more positive note, Austin can finally feel at ease when La Mesa PD officer Matt Davis approached Mr. Johnson and asked him what he was doing. Mr. Johnson replied he was waiting for his friends who were just about to arrive in a car. When he saw the car approach, Johnson got up, but Officer Dus said he wasn't done with him yet. You can see Dagas grabbing the supposed suspect by his shirt, but it wasn't going to end there. >> Get the up off me, bro. You grabbing me for, bro. I already told you it's coming straight. You look goofy as hell, bro. Stop touching me, bro. Obviously, nobody's going nowhere. Hey, hey, hey. What' I tell you? I told you I was waiting for somebody to come here. They right here, bro. >> Oh my god. You're tough. Hey, you tough as you goofy as hell, bro. Hey, Mr. Disgill. You real big though, huh? Hey, you real big. Hey, you real big. Hey, you real tough. Okay. >> Thank you, bro. Thank you. >> Hey, where was I? Where were they at? Where was I at? Right there. I told you, bro. The ride the came, bro. The people came. I'm going to dip. >> Okay. >> Before Johnson dips, or at least tries to, let me just say that officer Dagas clearly overreacted. He had no real reason to detain or question a man that's just sitting around. Later, he'll try to think of dumb reasons to justify his actions and even try to pin bogus charges on Johnson. At this moment, other officers are responding to the location and things are about to escalate. Just to make things clear, let me play that back so you can clearly hear Johnson saying he was going to dip, which means go. Which officer Das seemed to understand. >> The people came. I'm going to dip. >> Okay. >> I have no reason to be detained by you, bro. >> Sit down. >> Stop. >> Sit down, bro. You see, as funny as hell, bro. Hey. Hey. That's fine, dude. On Twitter, [ __ ] >> You've already put my You've already put your hands on me, >> bro. I didn't put nothing on you, bro. It's on camera, so you can check it. It's all good. Hey, what we doing? What we doing? What we doing? Hey, look at my name. What we doing? What we doing, >> dude? I'm talking to you. Sit down. Sit down. >> I'm waiting for somebody to come. >> Okay. >> All right, bro. Tell them stop touching me, bro. First of all, stop. Back up out of here, bro. >> Listen to me, >> bro. Y'all hella goofy, bro. >> I'm talking to you and you smacked me, >> bro. Nobody smacked you, bro. Why I smacked you? >> You didn't? >> Why I smacked you? You didn't you didn't you didn't hit my arm. >> All right. But why are you grabbing me though? Why are you grabbing me? >> Because you keep trying to grab stand up. >> Bro, shut up. Quit talking to me, bro. I ain't got nothing to say to you, bro. >> All right. >> Okay. So, the suspect got a little worked up. But who wouldn't imagine sitting peacefully waiting for your friends and then a cop comes and starts badgering you for no reason. Officer Das will later claim that Johnson was smoking in a non-smoking area. There was no proof of him smoking at all. The camera footage doesn't show it, and there were no cigarette butts found in the area, so he was clearly lying. Mr. Johnson had every reason to be upset, and his friends were obviously on his side. >> Straight up. >> Goofy as hell, bro. >> I'm good, bro. I already know I'm good. >> Hey, if want to shoot me or do some weird out here right now, bro. >> You feel me? Be straight. >> Bro, dumb as >> bro. You see what's going on though, right? >> Came over to hang out, >> bro. For real. I'm waiting out here for my friends. I told you that. >> Hey. Hey. Did you look my name up already, bro? >> Did you look Hey Wait, what 24 stand for, too? >> Hey, what that stand for? Is that a gang? Is that a gang thing? >> Hey, you got 24 in your [ __ ] too. >> We're going to talk to you. >> All right, talk to me then. Give me these talking, bro. Ain't no deep breath. Ain't no coming down, bro. Y'all got six cops for no reason over here, bro. Y'all goofy as hell, >> bro. Over here talking about Are you smoking, bro? What's up, Mike? >> You boy. >> At that point, a spectator from behind calls out to Johnson, saying he's an attorney and telling him to stop berating the officers, as that will only make things worse. His friends tell him the same thing. So, he manages to calm down, at least a little bit. Speaking of his friends, let's see the situation from their angle. This is the footage from Officer Rascon's camera as he rushed to the scene. When he saw Dagas and the female officer had secured the suspect, he approached Johnson's friend who was getting agitated. >> What the bro? >> Do you know what's going on? >> I just got here, man. >> This fool is in the wrong. He tried to come up on him like he's not doing he's waiting for me to get back from the store, right? When I come back, instead of him just apologizing, being like, "Oh, you're right. I get it." He tries to grab him and choke him and put him on the thing. Obviously, the my friend is going to put his hands back. Like, no one's going to get choked and bro. Bro, this fool's in the wrong and he could just say that and let it go and instead he's trying to I don't know what the he's trying. >> We're just trying to figure out what's going on there, >> bro. He's being a whole bro. Oh my god. And you know you're wrong, bro. >> Nobody's getting anything across. So just take a deep breath and we'll talk to you. Okay, >> that was the voice of Officer Jensen, one of at least six officers who were nearby. They all converged at the location when Officer Dagas called them on the radio. For the most part, they did their jobs correctly and tried to deescalate things. She also tried to get information from Johnson's friend. >> Are you guys with him or are you guys picking him up or what happened? >> He is coming to my house. I was getting groceries at the store. You need a key to get in here. >> So obviously he can sit out here and wait. As we pull up, he's already questioning him like he's in the wrong. Like he's not supposed to be here, right? >> We're out talking to people. So it's just we're out talking to people. >> I get that. But that's fine. But when I pull up and he sees that he's in the wrong, instead of him just being like, "Okay, you know, you're right. I get it. Have a good day. Whatever. Do your thing." What does he try to do? put his hands on him first thing. >> I don't know who the does that, bro. Like, come on. >> Like, after I'm so mad, bro. My little the little kid on my skate team that I don't He just got killed by police in Long Beach. Guess what? Wrong identity. You guys want to do some like this, bro? Everybody want to abuse their power. That shit's up, bro. Not everybody needs to waste their time on some [ __ ] because one fool is feeling prideful. You feel me? Just cuz one person want to feel prideful, look at the disturbance caused. It seems obvious to everyone that officer Dagas messed up. He let his emotions and his prejudice get the best of him. From the suspect's perspective, this was a clear case of racial profiling. There's no evidence that Johnson ever slapped him or hit him. The camera footage doesn't show that at all. What it does show is that Dagas was the first to initiate physical contact. He probably felt that Johnson was out of place. And when the suspect didn't respond to his authority with humility and respect, he got agitated and escalated the situation. >> Hey, y'all part of the problem, too. Y'all just let like this do like that, too. Like, it's no issue. But it's all good. I already know what it is. Hey, I'm black as out here. That's what the issue is. It's all good. I get it. But, you know what I'm saying? You let that abuse a power like that. You know what I'm saying? Who knows who next? That's all I'm saying. I'm just standing here. You know what I'm saying? And I told him my homie was coming and he pulled up and he still want to beef up on me for what? >> Okay. Well, we're just going to >> Where's my Where? He looked at my name like 30 minutes ago. Bro, why am I still here? I don't got nothing on me. I'm doing nothing wrong. I'm being a citizen. >> So, you know what I'm saying? That's why that's why I'm frustrated. It's hot as hell. I'm sitting outside for no reason. I get it. You know what I'm saying? I understand. >> You really don't get it, though. You don't get it. >> I understand that you're frustrated. >> I feel like I understand you're being empathetic, and I I appreciate that. You know what I'm saying? But you don't get it, bro. You don't. >> I'm not trying to say that I know exactly how you feel, but I'm just saying that I understand you're frustrated. This clip was from the body cam worn by La Mesa PD officer A.G. Orgy, the woman you see here on the left. In this situation, she conducted herself admirably. She attempted to deescalate the situation and even empathize with the suspect. However, this cannot be said about Officer Dagas, who not only initiated the confrontation, but then managed to exacerbate the conflict. And now, he was about to make it worse by arresting the suspect on false charges. >> So, listen to me. You're being placed under arrest for G41C. Okay. >> Yep. All right. What's your 241c? >> Assault on a peace officer. >> Assault on an officer. Hey bet. Hey. Hey. Back. Hey. Hey. >> Hey. Hey. CALL. HEY. CALL JERRY. HEY, CALL JERRY. HEY, NICK. CALL JERRY. HEY. HEY. HEY. HEY. Call Jerry. Hey. Hey. Call Jerry. Nick. You're a >> Bro, you a straight, bro. >> Yeah. >> Hey, you a You're the one that hit me, >> bro. I didn't hit you, bro. You started grabbing me, bro. I told you to stop touching me, bro. You know what I'm saying? Assault the police off. You know it's not film, right? How far you think it's going to go? >> Those were some prophetic words there. Although Johnson couldn't have known how far it would go. This footage came out at the time of the already scheduled George Floyd protests. Several days of public outcry for justice turned into a much more serious situation. Apart from hooligans running wild at times, two women were shot by a cop with a pellet gun. And as a result of the shooting, one of them will probably lose her eye. Here's news coverage of the events. The move comes after days of protests that escalated at times to looting and destruction over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and a police confrontation in La Mesa. Body cam footage of the local incident was released earlier today and La Mesa city leaders took heat at a news conference. >> Well, the hotspots are out in downtown La Mesa where riers burned down two banks here over the weekend, but activists say they are still angry and today had an opportunity to come face to face with city officials. Activists blasting Laame Mesa city officials at a news conference organized to announce the release of body cam footage in the recent trolley station incident with a white police officer and a young black man. >> I thought we were going to uh have some light shed today or at least some transparency. Um unfortunately um I don't think we're going to receive that today. >> Well, that was not the end of it. Not by a long shot. An internal investigation concluded that Dagas had no reasonable suspicion to detain Johnson and that he lied about the encounter in his report. So, he was fired. After that, officer Dagas wound up in court over charges of falsifying his report. Then, the craziest thing happened. The jury found him not guilty, even though his own statements were contradictory. He said he saw Johnson smoking, but he also said the only things the suspect had were a cell phone and keys. Where were the cigars? He took the city to court to get his job back, but the appeals board upheld his firing. As for Mr. Johnson. He also went to court and sued the city of Lame Mesa and agreed to a settlement of $125,000. Daniel Barton was arrested for the first time in December 2022 by Milwaukee police after he stole a police vehicle. The suspect can be heard giggling as he drove off in the police officer's car who stopped him for a routine traffic stop. Looks like uh somebody just stole my vehicle. Heading uh northbound. >> Okay. Did you take your vehicle? >> Hey, vehicle 106 heading uh southbound on Holton Street. Light is still on. Uh my wife >> and telephone. We have GPS on that car. Yes, there's UPS on the car. What number do you say? 106 line Richards. The guys running west Richard. It's a white male, blue jacket, blue jeans. >> In the previous dash cam footage, we see Daniel get out of the car and make a break for it. The officers look around the area and find him inside one of the trash cans. The suspect is held at gunpoint by the officer, but he doesn't even seem to be phased. >> 855, come up to the ying saucer. Put your hands on your head. >> I don't have a case. I'm sorry. >> Now, after this, one might think Daniel Barton would stop stealing cop cars, but oh no. After the first incident, the 34year-old was released on bond. However, 6 months later, in March 2023, he stole another cop car from Shorewood Police. What? >> Is that your squad? >> What the? >> That's your squad. >> 908. Dispatch. Uh, someone just stole my squad. West capital. I love this. >> I get these throws. >> Can't take me nowhere. What are you doing? Why are you wasting your time? That's why >> Daniel Barton was deemed competent to face charges and was charged with misdemeanor car theft. Heather Worth, chief of Shorewood Police, states that they're conducting a review of their practices in the wake of all the car thefts. Some people want to be beautiful so much that they try to steal beauty products from big stores like Walmart, hoping they can get away with it. One such escapade ended up ending badly recently. This was a couple who were spotted taking cosmetic products and placing them in their personal bag. The officers were quick to respond and detain the suspects. >> Stop in the shade. Both you stop. I'm recording. Sit down right there. You're not free to go. You take off front and we're going to have an issue. Sit down. Stop. Sit down. I'm Sit down or I'm going to put you down. >> But if I get my Can I get my dog into the truck? >> Here's what's going to happen. >> I didn't do nothing. >> Sit down. >> Look, there's my purse. >> Sit down, sir. Or we're going to have an issue. >> Okay. I just >> on your butt. >> My dog is going to jump out the truck. >> Please. My dog. It's right there. Please. >> Is it the red truck in front? >> Yes. He's going to run away. >> Sit down and we'll handle the dog. >> Here's my purse. >> Do you understand? You're under you're being detained right now. >> Yes, I understand. You know why? >> They think you stole stuff from Walmart. >> I know that. I stole nothing. You're my purse. >> It's fine. Sit down on your booty. >> Please get my dog. >> Oh, we'll take care of the dog. >> Oh, please let me get my dog. Please. >> You don't understand. >> Sit down. >> Between the my dog is going to run away. There's nothing in my purse and I didn't do nothing. The woman is so frantic that you immediately know she's guilty. I mean, why did she leave the dog in the first place? My guess is that they have stolen property in the car and that she wants to get rid of it before the cops can find the goods. Right or wrong, these two give me the vibe that they're just hustlers who got caught. And now they're scrambling to get out of the situation. Watch as the woman tries to pull a fast one and get away. >> Please let me get my dog. Please >> don't resist, dude, cuz I won't. >> I'm not resisting. >> You guys are >> I got a broken collarbone. B, please don't don't trip my arm. Please don't smile. I just have I got broken collarbone. I got a broken collar. >> Please, please behind your back now. >> PLEASE DON'T LET MY dog into my dog. Please, >> sir. >> Please. Please don't let my dog. You're going to have an issue with me. >> I can't resist. I can look at my sit down now. Nobody. >> I just myself. Nobody's doing this. >> That was pure insanity. I just thought to myself, if I were the cop, I'd probably have to tase one of them sooner or later. Seems like it might have been justified. Both of them were unruly and they tried to get away the moment they were left alone. And the man started to angrily approach the officer while shouting at him. There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it. The officer then restrains the woman who seems to be cooperating a little bit more. Now that she's seen what happened to her hubby, of course, the suspects had their own side of the story. >> Nobody was trying to resist. Nobody was >> Dude, you wouldn't listen. >> Nobody was running from you. Nobody was resisting him. I saw >> I was trying to tell you, man. Like >> I was nothing but nice to you people. Stand up. >> I know. >> Stand up. Dude, my legs are >> my legs are numb from you shocking this right here. >> You guys sit. >> You probably noticed the blood on the backside of the male suspect's head. Looks like he hit his head when he was tased and dropped to the ground. For bald guys, even a minor hit can make your head bleed. So, although it was probably a hard hit, it doesn't necessarily mean that he's badly injured. >> Busting my head. I'm like, >> "We got a rescue coming. He's a He's a boxer. Nick, I'm assuming they haven't been searched yet. Hey, don't don't pull those cuz >> All right, Ken, stand up. >> You got any needles on you? >> No, man. >> Stand up. >> I My legs are down, dude. I can't stand up. Like, he just shocked the out of me. I lay on the ground and he's still just shocking the >> It goes 5 seconds. You can't stop it. >> My go You got any needles or anything on you? Yeah, I have no need. You don't have nothing else. >> Yes, he is. Okay. He just shocked out of me. I don't know, man. I'm not using like what the what what does using have anything to do with this? Like, >> well, you're you're starting to act all >> I bust my head open, man. My head is killing me. Like, what does drugs have anything to do with me busting my head open and my I'm dizzy and my legs are >> probably has something to do with why we got called to a retail theft, right? It usually all ties in together. Since the suspect can't stand up, the officer proceeds to search him while seated, but Ken is behaving strangely, and the cop suspects drugs may be involved. Actually, it wasn't drugs that the officer found in the vehicle. It was something else. >> What's up, pup? Yeah, I thought it was at first. It says DPMS on it. >> Can you stay? Make sure this dog didn't hop out. >> Well, that wasn't your ordinary gun. Not by a long shot. Now, I'm no expert, but it looked like an M4 assault rifle, and the way it was carelessly put in the trunk of the pickup truck is just stupid. Any kid could have peaked inside and grabbed it easily. The good thing is the dog was just fine. In the meantime, the suspects complain about the man's head bleeding. And the officer has a lesson that he wants to teach both of them. >> You see how back my back of my head is hot? >> What? Can you look at the back of my head? >> Yeah, it's bleeding. It's bleeding. Go to the hospital or whatever they >> Yeah, it's bleeding. How many times? You know what would have solved all that, gentlemen? Sir, ma'am. >> Yeah. >> What? What would have solved all that? >> I just wanted to check my dog >> if you sat down when I told you to sit down. Correct. >> I was just worried about him. >> What' I tell you? Didn't I tell you we'd have somebody check on your dog? >> I'm sorry. >> And we cannot follow instructions. Can we not? >> I'm sorry. >> I told you. Did I not tell you you guys were being detained? Did I not? What' I say you're being detained for? >> Amy, is this black bag yours? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> That's what she was carrying. Did I tell you you were not free to go? I told you you were being detained and not free to go. I was even polite enough to put those handcuffs in front of you, was I not, sir? Because of your shoulder injuries. >> No, nobody was. >> Sir, you started walking away. Then you came up on me hot because I tried to put her in handcuffs cuz she started walking away. >> All I was doing was talking to you. I wasn't hot. I wasn't aggressive. All I said >> you said, "Don't put her in handcuff." >> I said, "Please tell her don't throw her on her stomach. She has honey." >> She kept pulling away. >> There's always two sides to every coin, but here I think the evidence is clear. The footage shows that the man was agitated when he approached the officer and he was shouting on top of it. If the officer hadn't been alone, there would have been no need for the taser. But in this situation, it seems completely justified. The officer doesn't want to complicate things by calling animal control for Rocky, the dog. So, he thinks about letting the woman go, but that doesn't mean she's off the hook. >> Uh, my partner is going to search you. You're in custody now for resisting. I'm not saying you're necessarily going to jail. They didn't have to spray you or tase you or anything like that. I might be able to because of the dog thing. I might be able to release you cuz I don't really want to call animal control for your dog. >> Right. >> I'm going to adjust these since you were pulling away and fighting with me a little bit. >> I don't care if you take the truck and pound the truck right up my dog. I'm going to randomize you though. I'm going to ask you some questions. Honestly, go a long way. Okay. You copied. I don't necessarily have to take you to jail, right? Yeah. But >> I'm not saying I'm not going to. Please, I I've got kids right young in her school. >> The officer is obviously leading the suspect to a confession. He entices her by letting her go and going easy on her, provided she cooperates. After reading her, Miranda writes, "It's time for some questions." So far, she was adamant that they didn't do anything. I wonder if she'll start being honest. >> So, what what happened over at Walmart where these guys would think you would steal? >> I I don't know. I mean, I have a retail theft in the past, >> right? But I don't care about your past. All I care about right now. >> No, >> you weren't stealing. There's nothing going to be stolen in the truck. >> Put it No, >> you can't steal. >> Put stuff in his backpack. You put stuff in his backpack. >> No, in his bag. >> Yeah, >> I had a Walmart and he did it. >> Okay. >> Cuz I told him, "You need to go out there with the dog cuz I was worried about Rug. It's hot." >> Ry is Rucky Boy. >> Well, thieves will be thieves. Did you hear how she casually threw her partner in crime under the bus? She'd do anything to save her skin. And all this time, her dog, Rucky, was patiently waiting in the car, not knowing that when it's all said and done, he might actually be the one saving his owner from going to jail. >> What are we doing with the dog? Animal control or >> I don't know if the female's going to go to jail. >> Okay. >> Is he a friendly dog? >> So far, yeah. >> Hey, buddy. Get it going, bud. >> Who's a good boy? Come here. Come on, bud. Come on, bud. Come here. Fight. Good boy. Good boy. Come on. Mama. Here. Mama. Hi, buddy. Hi. Hi. You're mama. Hi, Birdie. Come here. I don't mama's in here. Okay, calm down. >> It's always nice to see animals reunited with their owners. I'm sure that if it weren't for Rucky, she'd be on her way to jail by now. At that point, Kenny was already under the bus. But then his partner made sure he stayed there. >> I know. I'm sorry. And what's he going away? He was right next to us >> for what? >> Um retail them. >> What? Yeah, he had he took eight years as the lawyer. If he's made his egos, he's gone. You know what I mean? So, I think he just got to a point like, you know what I mean? I guess he ke So, here's the deal. >> I'm going to forward charges for resisting. >> Okay. >> Okay. Cuz I'm going to be honest. I think if you would have stayed sat down, >> I know. >> Then Kenny wouldn't have been tased cuz Kenny wouldn't have think thought he could have run away and then Kenny wouldn't have seen me trying to put you on the ground and tased you and then >> I feel bad. >> Right. and then ran at me and then me think that I'm going to get overpowered or have to fight two people. >> I guess in my eyes I was thinking I'm not going nowhere. I'm not going to outrun you. I guess that's what I was thinking. You know what I mean? I just wanted to make sure he's okay. But >> but I told you. >> But you told me. I know. It was just happening so quick. You know what I mean? I didn't know what Kitty had done. >> So, how do you think I feel? >> I got this lady coming up to me saying, "Open your purse." And >> I didn't say open your purse. >> No, a lady in the store. >> So that's why she was so amped up. My guess is they were in on it together. However, Rucky saved her. And because Kenny was a repeat offender, he took the blame for the theft. The female suspect was released and was later charged with resisting arrest. Old Kenny, however, got retail theft, resisting arrest, and aggravated assault on a peace officer. It was the 9th of July, 2023, when cops were called to the scene of a local Kirkland neighborhood where a woman damaged her neighbor's property. Disputes like this over property lines are not something the police usually deal with, but things have already reached a boiling point. Someone was about to be escorted away in handcuffs, and it won't take you long to guess who. The police definitely had their hands full with this one. So, without further ado, let's get into it. >> Go inside. I'll be with you in a minute. >> Me? >> Yeah, you. >> I live here. >> Cool. Can you go inside for me? >> My home is being intruded upon. >> Okay. I'll be with you in a moment. I just want to separate you guys so there's no further disturbance. >> From who? >> You You're screaming as I'm walking up. >> Me and who? You are screaming as I walked up here. >> My home is being intruded upon and you're telling me to go inside. >> I'm I'm asking you to go. >> May I request a different officer, please? >> Sure. You can talk to Officer Valpone here if you don't like the way I'm treating you. >> The woman immediately gets defensive when the cops ask her to simply go inside, which is not a great start. She definitely has the crazy eyes, and we can already sense that we're going to be dealing with a seriously insane Karen. The situation is so trivial, and a bit of neighborly compromise could have solved everything. But alas, this Karen had no interest in playing nice today. >> Okay. >> She complained because the the hand supposed to be on her property. >> Okay. >> It's supposed to be on her propert. But I don't know. That's why I made my own. >> She says it's like too far over on her side. >> Their dogs pee [ __ ] All I do is just pour water on it and it only goes on the water side. So my dad put like something here to block it >> like a like this gutter thing. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Okay. >> Now that we know a bit of the backstory, we really can't blame the neighbors for taking things into their own hands. The fixture didn't cause any issues for the Karen and her husband, but she decided to go the violent route and physically break it down. The woman named Nancy clearly has no sense of consequence, but she was about to learn what happens when you mess with the cops. >> They built a fence back up onto my property and destroyed it. So, I was contacting the city >> to get it taken care of. Um, and then this curve is on my she's rolled her ankle multiple times. We're I you know it's on my property. We're taking it off my property. >> And don't please do not look at the line cuz they drew the line. >> The line is based on the property. >> Here's the thing. Property line disputes not a police matter. I know we're not that's also not a police matter. >> Well, if you Well, here's the thing is if you destroy it and it turns out it's their property, then >> Well, until then, it's not your matter either. Then >> you shaking your head and have an attitude towards me. I'm trying to figure out what's going on and you go like this and talking to me in that way. You're an adult head. I am a very respectful person. >> Well, then speak in a respectful tone. >> The officer can't have a normal conversation with the husband for 2 seconds without her chiming in. It doesn't take long for the cop to call her out on her disrespectful behavior. But little did he know that this would only be the start of her antics. By the way she's acting, you'd think the neighbors launched a personal attack on her. >> I'm not trying to be snotty. Well, you're acting that way and you're speaking in a snotty way. >> Well, if you've lived here long enough to have to put put up with this, I'm not trying to be snotty. >> Do you think when we're trying to figure out what's going on that making snark comments and speaking like that helps? >> I'm not trying to also at the same time to go back to China. >> You came up and told me at this moment because of this type of stuff, right? >> I mean, I mean, she's not trying to be rude to you guys, but heating up of like telling her to go back to China. That's a really messed up thing to say. Someone ends up getting arrested. >> So your decisions is based on my behavior. >> Oh my god. >> No. >> The cop is very straightforward and reprimands her. But as we could have guessed, this does not make much of a difference in her attitude. The insults that were flying between her and her neighbors definitely do not justify her behavior. However, the more the woman notices the cop isn't taking her side, the more she's freaking out. >> This was not laid by the HOA. >> Okay. Who was it by? >> Damn. That ain't going to be here. Okay. >> But then you can be that is if it is their property that they built and you destroy it, right? The Hold on a second. The property line thing. Is it We don't know. So now you're destroying someone else's property. >> Nope. It's on my property. >> You're being unreasonable at this point. Yes, I am not. >> Can I finish talking? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. They poured concrete there because you guys were urinating, defecating your yard. >> That is not the case. >> Okay. They put Anyways, they put that there. Correct. That's what you told me. They put that cement barrier there. Correct. >> What they did? Yes. So then that is the cement part is not your property. Correct. >> Correct. Someone has the right to put it on my property. >> Is it your property though? Do you know for sure? Do you have a legal document? >> Do you have a legal document that says that it's your property? >> My deed will more than definitely tell you this is the line. >> No matter how calmly the officer tries to explain to the woman why she's wrong, the logic still goes right over her head. The cherry on the cake is that she'd only filed the complaint with the HOA in the city a few days ago. This is not nearly enough time for things to be resolved, but her non-existent patience prompted her to take things into her own hands. >> Talking about an inch or two. >> Inch or two? >> No, it's like more than six. If I go onto your property being your next door neighbor and I go do the exact same polite with my neighbors, >> I am until I'm not. >> That doesn't make sense to me. >> Well, what law did I break? >> That's malicious mischief. >> Malicious. How about they maliciously built something off I have no legal documents to that's what you're missing. >> What is their legal document to build anything on my property legally physically as you can see attached to my property? >> There's two ways to resolve this issue today. >> Ma'am. Ma'am, look at me. There's two ways to resolve this issue today. You calm down or we may have to take you to jail. >> Why? What did I do? >> You committed the crime of malicious mischief. >> The iate woman is going to face some serious consequences for her unruly behavior. The cops are in for a wild ride with this Karen. Let's see what happens next. >> I don't know. Husband, how long what have you done to actually >> How much have you had to drink today? >> Too much. >> No. >> Too much. You've had too much to drink today. You're >> Why is it always me and my drinking? >> Well, let's see. You're the one destroying stuff. >> I didn't destroy it. I am removing something that is on my property. And it does never it does not always equate to me my drinking. >> I'm going to tell you how it's going to go right now. You are going to go inside. You are not going to cause a disturbance for the rest of the night. >> What disturbance have I caused? >> Um screaming racist remarks. >> Oh, and they haven't. >> I'm not saying they haven't. I'm saying that >> Why am I going inside and they're standing out here? >> Because they're not the ones screaming at the police in the parking lot. The attention of the unhinged woman is soon turned on the husband, and it's clear that the officers are becoming more and more annoyed by the minute. The poor husband tries in vain to shush her from where she was standing behind the cops. The woman's comment about every situation being about her drinking speaks volumes about her as a person. >> Go inside or you're going to jail. This is your last chance. Do you understand? >> I didn't do anything. >> Then go inside. Okay. Uh, >> my property is being intruded on and I'm getting ordered to go inside >> just right now. Just right now, please go inside. >> You guys, can I be taken to jail for yelling at them saying jail? >> You guys move your fence. Move your fence. >> Go inside your house. >> How about you guys do something about this? Please go inside. >> How? WHY AM I GETTING ORDERED TO GO INSIDE? My property is being intruded on. >> No, you're not. You never have. >> You never have. You never have. >> Dude, if I go to jail, it's your fault. It's your fault. >> Blaming her husband for her going to jail is also a typical Karen move since Karens never want to own up and take responsibility for their own actions. It's pretty rich that she can't resist the urge to berate the cops even as she's walking inside. >> I know. Hi, puppies. >> Sorry. I'm making sure it doesn't get physical because if it does not get her inside. >> I know. I really don't want to make this a thing. >> It's not I'm trying to Let me step >> She going to go to go inside. She's causing a public disturbance. Nancy, if you don't go inside, please your fault. >> IT'S YOUR FAULT. >> OKAY, IT'S my fault. Please go inside. >> Please go inside. >> Let me go. >> Since her deranged shouts can still be heard reverberating through the neighborhood. This meant that the cops were not able to just ignore the situation and she'd give them enough reason to take some pretty drastic steps to subdue her soon. >> Come here. You're under arrest. >> Why? >> Because I'm going in, sir. You're under arrest. >> For what? >> Cuz I'm already going. >> I'm not. >> Call mying lawyer. >> Congratulations. My kids are crying. >> Yeah, >> that's your fault. >> How is that my fault? YOU AIN'T DOING [ __ ] ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO. >> What am I not What am I doing? Do not kick me. >> Do not kick me. >> You stepped on me. >> She didn't mean to. >> YOU STEPPED ON ME NOW. GO AHEAD, TOSS ME. >> She didn't mean to. >> Go ahead, toss me on the ground. Go ahead, toss me. >> At this point, everything coming out of her mouth is senseless ranting, and we're already tired of her whining voice. The woman was nowhere near being tired, though. The officers definitely deserve a day off after this crazy Karen. >> Go ahead and get inside the apartment there. All right. I want to let you know that you're under arrest for malicious mischief in the third degree. And I'm still going to investigate whether we're going to arrest you for disorderly conduct. Okay. >> Yep. I home is, like I said, being intruded on. Okay. >> And this is what you get. Is this your quot? >> Uh, no. We >> to arrest somebody just because. >> Nancy, I'm going to be honest. I would have preferred to just leave and resolve the problem. I wish you would have. And I was going inside. I was just trying to have a smoke. I was seriously just trying to have a smoke and you came in into my little corner of where I was going to smoke and you arrested me. >> That is 100% correct. >> Trying to act like the victim now is not going to help this woman at all. But she still tries her luck. Thankfully for the cop, everything that she did was captured in highquality body camera footage, so he was definitely in the clear. >> Do me a favor and just stop talking. >> And not talking. Yeah, of course. That's what all you guys ever want. Stop talking. Stop talking. That's all you guys ever want. >> Let me know when you're ready. >> Ready for what? >> To read your rights to you. >> You have the right to remain silent. Anything. >> I didn't I WASN'T AWARE THAT I HAD ANY RIGHTS. >> You have the right TO REMAIN SILENT. ANYTHING. >> I HAVE RIGHTS AS A WHAT? MY [ __ ] PROPERTY IS being introducent with you while you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before questioning if you wish. >> Can you >> You can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. Do you understand those rights? >> Nope, I do not. >> Which part did you not understand? Or would you like to >> I do not I do not know why I'm arrested for protecting my home. I thought this was a stand your ground state. >> Before we talk any further, I need to understand that you understand your rights. >> I do not. It's no wonder that the woman doesn't understand her rights because she was screaming the whole time it was being read to her. Everything she's done since the cops arrived definitely proves that she's living in her own diluted world. >> And that's exactly what you're under arrest for. >> Well, you know what? That's great. You guys want to arrest people whose homes being intruded on? Kudos. >> It's really important that I make sure you understand your rights. >> Don't I don't understand. I have lost brain cells. I don't I tried. I really did. >> We can't argue with the woman's claim that she's lost brain cells. And we're pretty sure we've all lost a few of ours as well after listening to her senseless arguments. The cops soon realized that trying to talk to her is a completely lost calls and give up. In the police station, her craziness would be taken up another notch. We didn't think this was even possible. >> Okay. >> Yes. I have to put you in. >> Oh, yeah. You can put me in C. You can probably put me IN THE HOSPITAL, BUT I CAN'T. >> I can't. >> You're going to put her in cases behind your back. We're going to put you in cuffs so you don't hurt yourself. >> You would put me in cuffs again. Yeah. Go ahead. Go ahead. >> Oh, I'm resisting against you. >> You're not resisting. >> I AM NOT. I NEVER WAS. In the station, the woman starts seriously unraveling, posing a danger to herself and probably everyone around her. Due to concern about her mental state, it was decided to transfer her to a different facility. Not long after she was placed in the police car again, she started banging her head against the glass divider, prompting the officer to pull over. >> LET ME OUT. PUT ME IN THE HOSPITAL. NO. HELP. HELP. Let go. Help. LET GO. >> STOP. >> LET GO. I CAN'T BREATHE. >> GET OFF OF ME. I CAN'T BREATHE. GET STUFF OFF OF ME. >> WE HAVE MEDICS COMING. >> NO, you don't. >> Please. >> I begged you. I begged you. I said, "Please get off of me. THINK ABOUT HOW WELL THIS WOULD GO. THINK ABOUT IT. >> IT WOULD go a lot better if you listened to what we were trying to tell you with the program." She's a full-blown lunatic at this stage, shouting at the top of her lungs and even trying to bang her head into the glass while the cop is restraining her. Maybe she has some underlying issues. Or maybe she's just a super Karen. >> Get it off my eyes. >> I can try to do that. Yeah. >> Okay. It's all over my face. Okay. I cannot not see. It's It's beyond like less than human rights. You can't do that. I want to be able to see. Get me the out of here. All right, Nancy. My friends with the Belleview Fire Department are here to check you out. Make sure you're medically okay. >> I'm requesting to have immediate medical attention AT A HOSPITAL BECAUSE you it's beyond ALL OF YOU GUYS'S CAPABILITIES. >> The medical responders arrived to check on the woman who was still shouting in the middle of the street. As we expected, she was medically cleared and could be processed by the police. Unfortunately, her husband immediately came to post bail, so she couldn't even learn her lesson by spending one night in the slammer. The woman was charged with malicious mischief. Porch pirates are becoming notorious these days for snatching packages off people's porches, but one crook decided to go a step further and steal people's mail. We're back to Monomony Falls for this one as an officer on patrol spotted someone digging through people's mailboxes. >> Hey, man. What's up? I got to talk to you real quick. >> Oh, what? >> Well, one, I saw you going through someone's mailbox. What's going on? >> Nothing. >> Oh, hold on. You can't be going in people's mailboxes. What's going on? Why were you in his mailbox? >> The door was open. I shut the door. I don't got no mail on me. >> I don't. >> Okay. Where are you heading to, man? >> To um Calhoun in Lisbon. >> Okay. Why would there for you? That's where my girl stays. >> Okay. Well, right now I'm detaining you till I know what happened with this mailbox. Okay. So, you're not free to go. I'm telling you that right now. All right. If you're going to be weird about it, I got to put you in handcuffs. Okay. >> So, instead we can have a conversation. Do you have a Do you have a license on you? An ID on you or anything? >> Yeah. >> Oh man. I've had experience with users before and I'm pretty much sure this guy's a dope fiend. the droopy glassy eyes, the slurred speech, and looking like he might fall asleep any minute. All telltale signs of heroin use. I might be wrong, though. Let's see. The good thing is is that he manages to find his ID real quick. >> Okay. >> So, Christopher, you used to living on uh 14th Street Lower. >> N's house. It's >> your brother's house? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, you've been walking from where? 90. I got I got into with my buddy on 93rd in Clarman. So >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> What's the phone number for him, man? >> Uh, all right. Give me a second. You going to hang with my partner here? He was looking in that that last mailbox that's just north of us, right? >> So, I haven't patted him down. So, I haven't patted him down yet, but I'm going to run him real quick. Just make sure they're war once. Probably going to b them down. See if you got the mail on them or anything rather than see anything. >> Just want to keep your hands out of your pockets for me, please. >> The second officer continues questioning the suspect about the contents of his bag. Supposedly, he took the bags from home. And on his way to his girlfriend's, he also bought a donut in Quick Trip. Although the mention of the donut likely made the officer salivate, he managed to keep his composure. When the other cop comes back, it's time for business. >> Well, here here's the thing. You do realize you got a warrant for your arrest from the machine, right? >> No, I don't. >> No, you do. So, I'm going to let you finish up that cigarette quick and and unfortunately, I got to take into custody, man. All right. >> How much is it? >> It's like 200 something bucks. I'll let you make phone calls. I'll let you call your girl. I'll let you do whatever. You got a buddy, you got a friend, you got family. You know, like I said, it's not just a phone call. I'll let you make phone calls. But I can't just do a signature von. >> Nope. >> For $200, >> that's we're seeing. It's not us, man. >> Well, can I make a phone call then? >> Well, I'll let you make some phone calls when we're back at the station. Not right now. Okay. >> All right. >> Like I said, I I I I think I'm doing you a solid by letting you finish up your grit. >> Yeah. Yeah. I don't know if it's the heroin keeping him down or what, but this is the chillest suspect I've ever seen. He's so calm and relaxed. Even though he knows he's going to jail, and he knows he's about to be searched, he also knows all the stuff he has in his pockets. The craziest thing is is that the warrant was for a dumb traffic violation that he didn't take care of. So now he's going to be in handcuffs. >> All right, man. Just turn around. Face that tree. Charlie number. >> All right, man. I know these cuffs don't feel good, but are they hurting you? >> All right. Before I start digging my hands in your pockets or anything, is there anything I need to know about? I don't want to get stuck in any needles or anything like that. Ain't about that. >> Yeah, >> there is. >> There's needles. >> Yeah. Okay. Where are we talking about? >> In this pocket. >> In this pocket right here. >> The officer gently looks in his pocket, but can't retrieve anything. Then he gets his gloves and starts pulling stuff out. It turns out this guy had a gazillion pockets and something suspicious in virtually every one of them. In his pants, he had needles for his heroin use. Yeah. >> Have you been using today? >> Hours ago. Yeah. >> Okay. You going to have withdrawals? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. There's nothing in there except for this little pill. >> That's just a That's not illegal. It's a dormant pill. Well, we're going to figure out what it is. >> Dorman pill. >> What's a dormant pill? >> They mix it. It's not illegal. They sell that at the store. >> What does it do? >> It makes it so it's not so strong. >> Makes the the not so strong. >> Yes. >> Dormund pills are actually sleep aids. I think that's the only legal thing this guy had in his pockets. Next, the officer finds the cooking equipment and he gets a little personal with the suspect. That's your cooker? >> Mhm. >> Bro, how long you been addicted? >> Man, I got shot in the chest, man. I was doing so good. I had a damn near 100,000 in the face legitly and get shot in the chest and everything went downhill. Got addicted to per 30s, the doctors. And I I'm having a rough life, man. No, mom. My brother just hung himself and you know. >> You sure you're not homeless, man? >> I am homeless. >> Okay, I >> understand. Like, I'm looking at all this stuff. This is This is what homeless. I am homeless. >> This is what homeless people do. >> I'm homeless. >> I wouldn't be surprised if this guy was telling the truth. He's not like the average junkie who would lie through his teeth to get free. He's probably being so honest because he's completely out of it right now. And he doesn't even lie about having drugs. >> Yeah, obviously I do. >> You do? >> Yeah. Not not but it's personal use. >> I wish I could smoke my last one. >> Can you lie to anyone though? >> I'm being incorporated. I know you're being cooperative. I thought I did pretty solid by letting you finish up the one you had. >> Well, by the time you're looking, I can finish it. Well, we'll we'll we'll see where we're going, man. We'll see. We'll we'll see what's going on. Like I say, I appreciate you being cooperative. >> Yeah. I'm glad it didn't come to to to blows between you and I. >> No, I don't be about that, man. >> Chris is really the happiest criminal ever. He's not aggressive. He doesn't fight the cops. He doesn't even mind going to jail. I guess life on the streets is hard as hell. But one thing that confuses me here is that he doesn't even care about the withdrawal he's about to experience. And that's described as the worst feeling in the world. In addition to everything he's supposedly been through, he also fought and beat cancer. So what's a little jail time going to do? Right. >> I just I was fighting cancer two years ago. >> So you've been shot in the chest, been fighting cancer. >> Yeah. >> Jeez Louise, man. >> Like you said, my life. With the suspect's help, the officer finds the as well as some crack pipes. >> It's up in this pocket right there. >> It's only like $20 worth of stuff. Pick something up, man. You got to screw it. Nothing serious. >> Can be pretty serious, man. You don't know what it's cut with. >> Yeah. You don't know this going to be your last shot, man. >> Out of 15 years, I knock on wood, I never OD one time, >> dude. You do crack, too. You smoke crack, too? >> After being searched, Chris was placed in the vehicle. On his person, they found hair, prescription medications, and also a bunch of drug paraphernalia. The officer then strolled by the mailbox and found two missing envelopes. Even though I think they kind of liked Chris, the officers decided to do their job right, charging him with male theft in addition to drug and paraphernalia possession. This next traffic stop right into battery and aggravated assault. On July 15th, 2022, an officer detected a vehicle traveling without a valid registration in Forest Park, Illinois. He had no idea what this routine traffic stop would turn into. >> Where you going, M? Hey, you're not free to leave. >> That don't even make no sense. You stalking. >> What does this have to do with you? >> It got a LOT TO DO WITH YOUR NAME. >> 2120. Copy the plate. David Henry 50935. David Henry 509. >> No, that's that's a full car, baby. But >> I got you. >> You can run it, though. >> I got you. >> You can search this. >> Hey, uh, >> that's fine. >> I don't know what y'all got going on personally right here. Can I get that back all the way around, please? >> I don't know what y'all got going on person with him. >> Yeah, >> we knew what you >> That ain't right, brother. >> Yeah, >> he just went home. >> Yeah, >> you can search his car. Tell the open door. That's all we open. >> Why did he leave? >> Well, I tell open. >> No, no, just tell me why did he leave, bro? >> Why you going to the crib? Search, man. He ain't got nothing in that. >> Go search the crib. We don't got nothing for you. We just chilling for him. >> The civilians continue to argue with the officer. Their attempts to defend the suspect don't convince the officer to leave as he was sure of what he'd seen. The suspect, soon identified as Shaell, is irritated and defensive right from the start. >> Let it search your car. >> That ain't my car. I ain't got no license. >> Let it search your baby. >> You was driving it, man. Did I not see you driving it? >> You didn't see me driving? >> No. >> No. You >> I got it on body cam, man. >> I need his license. You got your license, man? >> You wasn't driving this vehicle, so I didn't just see you at Thornton's right there. >> So, what you going to do? Not trying to style no. We just having fun. >> Yeah. And I get that. I need his license. I just saw him driving his car. >> We not trying to do all that though. We know what you We already know that you don't like him, bro. We can stop this. >> Nothing personal. It's been personal. >> It ain't personal. >> It been personal. You know, >> it ain't personal at all. >> It been personal. He [ __ ] I called him in his [ __ ] Hey, search me. I ain't got nothing. But I'm telling you, it's been personal though. You got some personal stuff going on. Your pots don't know about. You got your license, man? >> You got your license? >> I can't drive. >> So why were you driving that vehicle then? >> No, you ain't see me. That was my brother. >> You got a brother? >> Yeah, you got a brother. Yeah, I got a brother. >> Where is he at? Then I got both brothers. Where they at? Too much. >> What you mean? Where they at? Where's your brother? Tell him to come out. Why would I tell him to come out? >> He was just driving his vehicle. Right. When confronted, Shaell claimed his brother was driving the car when the officer spotted him, but refused to call his brother to come out. He's still arguing with the officers despite being caught red-handed. >> You caught me in that car drive, bro. Why you got all worked up? >> Because didn't you catch me in that car drive? >> He did. He's saying he did. That's >> sake. You can use your camera. That's >> Hold on. That's sake. Hang out for a second. >> You didn't catch me dragging. He did. >> No, you didn't. That's here. >> You have your ID. You know what? We don't even need >> your key. No ID. >> No, I don't have no ID. >> Now, here's where things get interesting. Shondell's not taking this too well, and his anger seems to be building up. Watch as he takes a bad move, hinting at his current state of mind. >> What's up, white shirt? >> That's all right. You know who he is, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, let's write them as citations or whatever you need. >> You can't write no citation cuz you get me in a cot. Y'all done wrote me two tickets already for bogus license plates, but y'all didn't catch me in the c. How can you write me a license plate ticket if you never get past the car? >> Hey, bro. You already talk to him and go for him, bro. Put your hands on me. Who the [ __ ] you open? >> All right. So, you're going to get your citation on trailer. >> Citations for what? >> He didn't test me in a car driving. >> No, he didn't. The cops have checked on Shaunell's license and they've learned that it's suspended. They want to issue him a ticket, but he continues to argue, claiming that he wasn't caught in the act and therefore couldn't be issued one. Shaondell then protests when the officers tell him his car will be towed and that he can't have access to it. >> Don't go in the car. >> What you mean don't go to the car? He go up now. >> We're not ringing up. >> What is this car under investigation for? >> The car is going to be towed. >> What is the car investig investigation? >> The car is going to be towed. What is that under investigation for? >> For for suspend a license. >> You can't talk to cop license. >> Call the tow truck. >> Yeah, it's coming. >> Okay. So, I can get my car and I get my stuff out of my car before y'all come. >> Shondell continues to insist that he should be able to take his possessions from the car himself. He then completely freaks out when he realizes they're putting gloves on to search his car, something they can legally do when impounding a vehicle. This is called an inventory search and requires no warrant or probable cause. >> Record it. Record it all you want. Record it all you want. >> No. If she going to get y'all going. >> That's right. But back up away from her while she's searching. Yes, you do. Back up away from her while she's searching. Back up away from her while she's searching. >> Back up while she's searching. Back up away from This is an officer safety thing. Back up away. Stop. He's going to go down. He's going to go real back up now. Back up. Watch out. Back up now. Do not go in the car. Get away from the car. >> Why are you doing this? Shell, get away from the car. You said we're going to go through it. >> I got So, take a step back. Take a step back. >> No, I don't have to take a step back. Y'all own my property. >> Shondell is getting too close to the officers and now he's pushing an officer's hands away. The situation's escalating further despite the incredible patience of the authorities. When the tow truck arrives, Shondell insists and he's allowed to take his possessions out of the car, but he once again gets in physical contact with an officer. >> I'm going to grab your phone. I'm going to grab my own phone, bro. I get my own grab it for you. >> I'll get my own phone. I'm going to grab it for you. If he tries to get in there, then he's obstructing and stuff like that, then then we'll arrest him. >> Let him grab his phone and that's it. If he tries to stay in the car or anything like that, then we'll arrest him for obstruction. >> Anything out this car, I won't. Come on. This is my last >> Stop. Stop. Relax. Stop. >> Stop pushing. >> Now, this is where the situation takes a turn. Shondell's looking for the keys to his trunk. And after spotting the person holding it, he walks towards them. So far, he's been agitated and irrational, but now he's about to cross the line. >> She's got the key right there. She's got the key right there. You see that? >> See that? BACK. SHELL, WE'RE GOING to shond my face now. Okay, you're on your stop. Stop. Put your hands on your back. I'm going to chase you egg. Put your hands behind your back. I'm going to chase you. >> Multiple egg assaults. Someone get handcuffs. Put them Put them on them right now. >> But you push me. >> Multiple batteries. Multiple egg assaults. You push me. >> Put him right in the car right now. Put him right in the car right away. Get him right in the car right away. Get him out of here right away. >> Stop. Underrest, bro. >> Why am I under arrest, bro? I just want to get out my break. Why am I under arrest for battery and aggravation? >> Get in a vehicle. >> Shawnell committed battery and aggravated assault. The officers could have arrested him much earlier, but they were patient and tried their best to calm him down. Patience, however, has its limits. In jail, the police continue their attempts to pacify Shaell. >> If you don't want us to touch you, you got to start walking, bro. >> All right. I still want to make my lawyer call. >> You go call him right now. We'll get your cuffs off. You got to walk. >> You can make your phone calls. Call your lawyer. Start walking. >> All right. I still need a hospital visit, too. >> For what? >> Cuz I can't feel my arms. >> Okay, let's walk. Let's go inside there. >> No, I need >> We can't do anything right now. You have to walk first. I don't have to. I need an ambulance. >> Come on. We'll go call an ambulance. >> I need an ambulance. >> Okay, bro. I need an ambulance. >> Shell keeps repeating his request for an ambulance. It's probably a tactic to delay getting booked. Shandell seems to be unable to walk straight and then starts saying that he can't breathe. His supposed panic attack is getting worse by the second. >> I need an ambulance, bro. >> Ambulance is on his way. They're coming. >> I don't feel safe. >> I don't feel safe. >> Just leave. Let You know what? If he wants to stand, let him stand. Just hold him right where he is. No one No one is restricting your breathing. >> I can't breathe. >> No one is doing anything. >> I can't breathe. >> No one is doing anything ever. I can't feel my arms. My arms not getting no circulation. My arms not getting no blood circulation to them. >> Okay. We can't take our cuffs off. >> The officers turn Shawnell around to double lock his handcuffs. He's screaming and crying that he can't feel his arms while kicking the officer behind him. All rationality has left his system and he continues screaming. The police have no choice but to physically lift him onto the stretcher. >> Please, please, I can't. >> NO ONE TO YOU. >> NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING. NO ONE is doing anything to you. You're kicking me. Stop kicking me. You are fighting me. Stop kicking me. I CAN'T KILL MY HEART. >> SOMEONE GRAB HIS AR. Even in the ambulance, Shaell's insane behavior continues. While the officers and the paramedics are doing their best to help him, he wildly flails, kicking at everyone in range. It's pretty unfortunate for everyone involved. >> Stop kicking the paramedic. Stop kicking my officer. Stop kicking my officer. Stop fighting. Stop biting my officer. STOP BITING THE PARAMEDICS. STOP FIGHTING US. STOP FIGHTING US. >> There's your body cam right there on him. >> Showing that that we're not doing anything but except trying to help him >> because he's going to try and say that we were hurting him and we're not trying to do anything but help him. >> Turns purple, bro. >> Turning purple. Left with no other choice, the paramedics have to sedate Shaell. After a few minutes, he's sleeping like a baby, and everyone can enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. >> Yeah, it worked. >> Yeah, it worked. I think the bigger guy took a little longer. Mr. >> Shondell was charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery, two counts of aggravated assault, and four counts of resisting obstructing an officer. In court, he was found guilty of resisting obstructing an officer and was sentenced to 31 days in jail. If he'd been smart, he would have taken that ticket. This next story takes place one evening when a man calls in the authorities over his abusive exartner. Despite separating, the woman was still living with him at the time. And as he told the cops at the scene, he'd already reported the abuse, but they weren't able to do anything due to lack of evidence. However, this time around, he's recorded it all on his phone. The moment the police arrive, he immediately steps out of his home and shows the footage to the officers there. >> She just hit me. >> I told you guys last night she hit me. You didn't believe me? Whatever. Here's her putting her hands on me, physically assaulting me. The first thing she said to the police officer that showed up last night was that she would kick my she admitted that she swung on me. >> Belongs to me. >> That was a gift to me. >> I walked downstairs. I asked her to turn her music down cuz I have to go to bed so I can go to work. That's it. >> You saw her just physically assault me. >> I don't know how to rewind it. I am so done with it. I've been nothing but cordial and nice. belongs to me. >> Uh, that was a >> right there. You just saw her hit me. >> The cops can never be too safe with these kind of calls. But to be fair, the man has some pretty hard evidence on his hands. With the evidence proving that he's telling the truth, the cops need to take action. What the man added next makes a lot of sense and says a lot about the situation. >> She's physically hitting me on a regular basis. I don't care that I'm twice her size. It's ridiculous. I don't deserve it. I told you guys last night she hit me. I told you tonight she hit me. There's video evidence that she hit me. She's cussing and screaming at me and belittling me. All I ask her to do was turn the music on so I go to sleep. That's it. I've been She calling me a little and and talking about my parents, talking called my daughter a thing she said about my daughter. I don't even want to tell you. >> I haven't been with her all night. This is I I can show you the video from the time I walked in the door to the time I went downstairs said, "Can you please turn the music down so I go to sleep? I got it all on video. Please remove her from my house. I want a restraining order. I want to file assault charges. I want her gone. I did this last night. I'm not doing it again." >> Well, that's a pretty solid case he's built there. After also pointing out that this is his ex-girlfriend, who for some reason is still living in his home, he tells the officers that he wants her out. After the man shares a few more bits of information to prove his point, the cops enter the home and find the woman inside. >> Hello. >> What's going on tonight? Are you kidding me? >> What's going on last night, tonight? >> Same thing that's been going on for the last 6 months since I met him. >> Okay. >> He I have nothing bad to say. I mean, I do, but I don't. Like I love the guy, but he's just very emotionally he drinks too much and then he goes off on me and this has been going on. So it happened last night and he called you all out and they asked him to leave and he did but he came back. I hid under the bed because he he has guns. I'm not sure. I mean I don't think he would do that. Whatever. So I have been packing. And I told told the police last night like I don't I don't want anything any harm, nothing to him. >> I just want to leave with all my stuff. Everything I own, my daughter's ashes. Everything I have is here in this house. I just want to take him. >> The woman has a different view of the story. And while there's evidence on the man's end, they still have to listen to her story. As they're trying to make sense of the situation, the woman adds that all of his stories are made up. That's a bit of a bold statement considering the evidence he provided. But this woman has her own version of the story to share. >> I was sitting down here wrapping stuff and putting it away. And yes, I'm drinking because I cannot believe this is my life right now. >> 49 years old. >> So he he comes down. I can see it on the camera. He comes down and then what happens after that? >> He was as fighting me for I had the tequila bottle over there because he already went through one last night and he's asking for his property. It was a bottle of tequila he's already been drinking. I said, "No, I'm not giving that to him." >> That he was looking for his property. Is that what he was talking about? >> Situation here. >> Is that what he >> What am I going to do with those? >> I don't know. >> The bottle. Pay attention. >> Is that what he was talking about with his with his property when he came down? >> Yes. The tequila. And it's hidden right there because I hid it from him last night after the police left. When he snuck back in, he literally sat and drank a bottle of Patron. >> Okay. Well, he's allowed to drink. >> I don't I understand that, but you're not hearing what I'm saying. >> I'm hearing you. >> No, you're not. The whole reason we get into these fights is cuz of this. >> It's over alcohol, >> right? So, you already drink. >> Okay, whatever. What do you want? >> What happened when he came down here? >> I just told you he's got it on video. Look at it. He's got it skewed apparently, however he wants it. >> Well, so far these arguments aren't really going in our favor. But with all the evidence shown to them, the cops have a full picture now. Sure, drinking a lot isn't the best thing ever, but it's certainly not against the law. But what is potentially against the law is not allowing people to do what they want to do in their home, and most importantly, physically assaulting them. The cop at the scene has heard enough and is going to take action. >> Put transport on your back. >> Go ahead, mother. Arrest you. >> You are. >> YOU ARE NOT ARREST. I >> No. NO, I DID NOT DO ANYTHING. >> STOP RESISTING. >> DO YOU WANT Put your ARMS BEHIND YOUR BACK. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? >> Put your arms BEHIND YOUR BACK NOW. >> PUT YOUR arms behind your back now or you're going to get a resisting charge. >> I'm not resisting. I have to >> MY RESISTING ARE TOR SHOULDER. >> OKAY. >> You're ripping my shoulder. >> No. Well, that went from zero to 100 in a second. And let's not forget the good old I'm not resisting defense. Initially, the woman pretended to cooperate, but she immediately jumped into the chair there and as you saw, resisted arrest. Despite claiming that she's supposedly not resisting arrest, it's pretty clear that she is. If she had just cooperated, this thing could have been over fast. But she decided to make it complicated. >> My left shoulder. Oh my god, you guys are brutal. I didn't do anything. Oh, you guys got pissed about something I said. >> Okay. >> Well, now you're going to probably cut your resisting charge. Okay. >> Okay. You know what? >> Unbelievable. This is so ridiculous. >> My Can I get my shoes on? >> A a resisting charge. You guys were fighting. You're three against one. Really? I was resisting. I was saying my shoulder. I have torn shoulders. >> All you had to do is put your arms behind your back. >> I can't put this shoulder behind my back. Do you understand that? If you've ever had a torn >> Well, when you pull away into a chair, that is resisting. So, sorry about your left, sis. >> Okay. >> Michael, I hope you're happy. Call my children. This is all you, Michael. >> Well, we got to hand it to her. That was an epic comeback from the female cop. Now, the worst part is over. And the cops did some pretty swift work here, not allowing room for more chaos. Now that she's been taken to the police car, the woman starts playing the blame game. And the feeling of guilt kicks in as well. I've never been in trouble in my life. At least I'm a worse that works with mental ill patient and addiction. Like I don't this is not who I am. I get involved with the wrong guy and now I'm the one in the cop car. This is crazy. Anything sharp or illegal on you? >> I don't think so. I don't even know what's in my pockets. I took my keys out of his drawer. I hit all his bullets up in the house. >> You I'm not resisting. I cannot even believe that you understand. >> Yes, I get away from officers. >> I get defensive because I have been abused my entire life. Ma'am, >> when an officer gives you a lawful order to put your arms behind your back and you pull away from us, that is called resisting. Do you understand that? >> I understand. >> Yes or no? Okay. >> Yes. >> So there, now we are in the clear. Okay. >> Yes, we are. >> So you can thank yourself, not us, for resisting arrest. >> And there we go. Another great comeback from the female cop. To follow it up, the woman adds a few more lines of self-pity. At this point, she's arrested. There's no turning back on what she did. And yet she decided to go down this path and indulge in denial. >> Are you guys serious? You're arrest for what? >> Domestic violence. Domestic violence and resisting arrest. >> I have never done a thing in my life. >> I I tell you I do what you guys do but on a different level. Like this is not fair. He has with me so hard for you. >> Have a seat. >> The cops last night. You could see all the bruises on me for And I finally try and stand up for myself. Unbelievable. >> The tricky thing here is to know who actually did what in this situation. What's not going in her favor is that the cops have video proof of her beating her exartner, but there's nothing to prove what she's claiming here. The female cop now shows a more compassionate side and assist the arrested woman. This might seem a little odd to some viewers, but the suspect is now cooperative and she is experiencing some pain. >> In regards to your shoulder, do you need EMS for that? >> Nope. But I if you could please just loosen these a little bit. They are tight. >> Yes. >> I apologize for I am >> I never call your first name. What's your first name? >> This is not who I am. I cannot believe he's getting away with >> Well, ma'am, in order for me losing your cuffs, I need you to turn that way. Okay. I can't believe this is happening to me. I'm going to try to just get out. >> Yeah. >> Sorry. I'm just got to fix my >> I don't disrespect. I do get defensive. >> It's okay. I understand. >> All I No, >> just like a little bit more for me. There you go. >> Oh, you're my daughter who overdosed and died 3 years ago. He says, "Your daughter's aing addict." And then he thinks, "I'm just going to sit there and take." >> If she's telling the truth, this really is an unfortunate situation for the woman. And maybe the other side isn't as innocent as we previously thought. Nonetheless, the woman was caught red-handed and will go to jail. Apart from assisting her physically, the officer took some time to talk to the woman and just let her vent a little. Sometimes people have a way of gaslighting us and then make us look like the crazy ones when we lose our >> Oh, he that whole thing. >> I know. >> And then >> No, I know you think I'm making >> No, I don't think that at all. I don't think that at all. I think that you are hurt and you are upset. >> Rightfully so. Okay. >> Why do I have to go to jail? I can't do this guys. I'll lose my nursing degree. >> That's not true. So Katrina >> Katrina, I'm gonna I need you to hear me out here. Okay, take a couple deep breaths for me and I'm going to explain something to you. Okay, there you go. Couple deep breaths for me. All right, so just because this is happening tonight doesn't mean you're going to be convicted of any criminal charges. Okay, he can go to court and drop everything that's going on tonight. All right. So, it's going to be up to him and from the back and forth of it, he probably won't want this to go any further. He's upset right now, just like you. Okay. >> After the officer shared a few more words of comfort and talked a bit more with her, the woman was then taken into custody. From there on, she was cooperative and processed further. In the end, the woman pleaded no contest to one lesser charge of disorderly conduct. After that, the resisting arrest charges were dismissed. As a result, she got a total of 30 days in jail and 1-year probation. Despite a lesser sentence, all of this could have been avoided if she'd just cooperated. On the 28th of March, 2022, an officer was sent to a call about a theft in progress. A 44year-old woman named Lita was trying to steal a bus filled with passengers. When she first entered the bus, the passengers were shocked when they realized that she wasn't the bus driver. Lita continuously tried to put the bus in drive, but failed and couldn't get the bus to move an inch. So, she got out and started to talk to an RTA employee >> by myself. I'm the only one out here really trying to have a conversation and deal with business and individuals. Where is Man Wellon at? Where's Mike the Wine at? >> Walk over. >> Where's Manuel? Where's Mike the Wine? >> You're putting me in the corner. >> Where's President Trump or a fight? >> Come on. Lay down. You go. >> Stop. Just lay down. >> No. I'm down. I'm down. I'm down. I'm down. >> You can't. I'm down. I'm down. >> I'm down. I'm down. >> I'm down. >> Okay, gentlemen. Get out of me. So, I pull your back. >> I've been so custody. You want me to steal a vehicle? You want to trap me? You want to set me up for the just so you can have a phone? Godamn >> sit up. >> Wait till I got to do this [ __ ] And I can't believe I honestly want y'all mother. >> You was about to tell me you seriously get me. >> What's your first name? Calm down. Calm down. We're going to help you. Okay. >> The officers put Lita in the back of the squad car, but she doesn't allow them to fasten her seat belt. She tells the officer that he should close the door and leave her alone. The officer, whose patrol car it is, asks for her name, and let's just say that it didn't go well for her. >> Don't patronize me. Just take me. What the hell's going on? >> Don't patronize me. Please, just take me where the you want me to be at. And >> why do I know who you are yet? >> Respectfully speaking, >> I don't even know who you are yet, so I can't take any. >> Well, you going to take me to jail. That's what you was going to do anyways. You was going to tase the out of me and contain me. So just take go take me and contain me. You know who I am. >> Well then then then we just going to sit here until you figure it out. I don't want to play your my game. >> I guess she tried to jump. >> I mean I just pulled up and she was standing right here screaming everybody. What happened? >> She jumped she jumped on the coach and tried to take this the bus. >> So this is this is one of these. >> Nope. Route 43. Um, >> now we say she tried to take it. >> Got behind the driver's seat, was trying to take the bus. >> Was the bus on and running? >> It was on and running. >> The driver got up, went to the restroom like they do every day. >> Question number one, >> she went and got Y'all keep leading me to incarceration. Y'all keep leading me to a situation when all I'm asking for is my education. I'm not asking you for a sandwich. I'm not asking you for a ride. I'm asking for some patience for me to get my education. I'm a Sinclair student when I get there. and I can't even get there on time. My name is Lita. I go by Likita because I'm recently currently in separation. Now you know my name. Now I tell another officer my name. Guess what they going to do? They going to do the same thing that you guys are doing and put me in handcuffs and go put me incarceration. >> The worker tells the officers that when Lita got on the bus, a few passengers ran out and yelled that she was taking the bus. That's when the worker went to the bus and confronted her. Lita yelled at the worker and kept on asking her if she wanted change. While all this is happening, Lita is still going on talking to the officer. >> You I'm an overachiever and then send me to Premier Hospital and inject me with some more uh uh talking powder because psychology want to play with me. Huh? No. Right. Right. So now just now you got my name. >> First time meeting you. My name is Deon. >> Hi Deon. Now that you have my name, please just take me to jail because that's what they're going to do anyways. And if you're not going to take me to jail, then let me up out of here so I can keep calming down cuz I'm about to leave this city and go find a life that I don't have to deal with all this extra headache and nonsense. Nobody loves the out of anybody who's actually trying to do somebody. They just want somebody to get high. I don't want to get high. I don't want to be on dope. >> She just crazy. >> You guys know her? >> I don't know. She's not telling me anything. And I said I I kept telling her I said, "We'll take you wherever you want to go. You just tell me where you want to go, but you can't take the bus to go." Yeah. >> And she's talking about and all this and that. And I mean, just she's just all over the place. And then that guy right there with his pants halfway down, he's on the ground. I don't know where he come from. Did you see him out there, too? >> I don't want to smoke in I don't want to smoke cigarettes. I only want to drink my wine and go to school. Is that a f shoe? That's fermented grapes. Oh, do I have to go out in the pasture and stuff in my damn self? Huh? No. Do you need me to go out here and pick cotton? NO. I WANT TO GO get my education. >> Lita Matthews continues her rant and tells the officer that he isn't trying to help her. She kept on defending her actions and saying that she didn't do Grand Theft Auto. And honestly, she's right. For a Grand Theft Auto, she'd actually have to get the bus to move. >> Auto. What? You going to hit me with terroristic threatening next? Because I said you obviously have a disability and we all have one. If anything, you could have said something different than that. Grand Theft Auto. >> This is not a video game. This is not a video game. This is not Grand Theft Auto. Did you hear what you just said? Grand Theft Auto. You should have said Mortal Kombat and I'd have got a joke out of it. I'd have laughed a little harder. Mortal Kombat. That's what this is. Mortal Kombat. All y'all want to do is see how I took no down at the goddamn crazy. It's not happening. I don't give a about all the hoopla that everybody said back in the past. Yeah, I'm your uncooperative. This whole city is uncooperating with the innocent. You just lied on me. You keep lying on me. So now I'm going start lying on you. >> She's pretty She's right here on this side. >> She's pretty uh Lita. She's pretty calm now, but we just had to fight her trying to get her in custody. Yeah. >> Do what? >> She She's going back and she's going back and forth. >> Yeah. >> Just in case she runs. >> She's She's going back and forth. >> You going to have to carry me out. I'm cooperative. >> I'mma cooperate with you. >> Okay. Come on out. Feet first. >> Lita did in fact not cooperate. The officers had to pull her out of the car to get her into the jail. Once they booked her, she was charged with theft. resisting arrest and obstructing official business. Sometimes police don't need anyone to report a crime. They find criminal activity themselves just by patrolling areas where crime often takes place. Here's one such situation that took place in Washington back in December 2022. Police officers were patrolling a particularly problematic neighborhood when they stumbled upon a vehicle with no license plates, which was reported to have been stolen. This your car? This your car? Huh? >> 25. >> Your boyfriend? >> Where's your friend at? Are they here? Do you have the key? Huh? Who just made it? Do the alarm. What's his name? You can't tell me his name. Okay. >> I'm filming too, just so you know. I said, "I'm filming, too. Just so you know, if your friend wants their stuff back, they should probably come get it." >> The officer keeps enticing the woman to reveal more information. If she were smart, she'd keep her mouth shut and leave. But this video is about dumb thieves, not smart ones. So, let's see how she messes this up for herself. >> Those are mine. That right there behind there are all mine. >> Why? So, you were driving in this car. >> Riding right here. So, where's the guy that was driving it? Everybody else's Christmas card now. Is this your >> Thanks. >> Yep. I'm taking that, too. >> No, it's not. >> The license plate is mine. >> No, it's not. >> It's in a stolen car. You're not getting it back. >> The license plate is mine. >> It's in a stolen car. You're not getting it back. >> I don't care if it's a stolen car. It's on my stolen car. >> You're not getting the license plate back. That is my license. >> You're okay. It's going with the car. >> The woman continues arguing with the cop, and he continues teasing her by taking stuff that's supposedly hers from the stolen car and placing it in his vehicle. He then calls the owner of the vehicle to explain the situation. >> We just watched that chick coming down the stairs. She's talking and her >> Yeah. her license plate was inside of the car and she's saying that her friend was driving it, but she doesn't know where he is and all this stuff. But >> you guys >> Yeah, she's going all over the road. But her license plate for her car was inside of it. And I think she has the some kind of key cuz she keeps locking it. So yeah, I'll have uh I I can give you all the information for the tow company that is going to come pick it up. >> The woman wants to come pick up the car so she doesn't have to pay for the tow company, but the suspect might be around. So the police officer doesn't want to potentially jeopardize the owner if an altercation does ensue. Lucky for him, a neighbor has some surveillance footage that might be of interest. >> She was in the car, right? >> The only one. >> She was the only one. >> Yeah. >> Can I see the video? >> Yeah. >> 1:00 20 minutes. She come here. >> See? >> Oh, yeah. So, she's the only one. >> That's good. >> Yeah. You see enough for me? >> Uh, we're going to go try to find that chicken. Stop. You're under arrest. >> Stop. You're under arrest. You're going to get tased. >> GET ON THE GROUND. >> GET on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> Stop it. >> Don't move. You understand me? >> Give me your arm. >> Give me your arm. >> In this arrest, two things were apparent. First, the suspect tried to flee. Second, she was actively resisting the officer. Of course, she immediately tried to play the pregnant card, but these officers did not care much. >> Up. >> I'm pregnant. You guys stop. >> There's nothing in there. There's nothing. >> Okay. >> I don't do anything. >> I'm checking. >> Sis, tell my uncle I got arrested. Even the other uncle knows. >> Take him to the back of my vehicle. >> Sis, tell my boyfriend I just got arrested. >> Face the back window. Sure. >> I don't know. >> Don't grab my hand. >> Please don't leave. Let go my hand. No. >> It hurts. Let it go, sir. >> Can you get it? >> No. I don't know who any of these other people are. She called a bunch of street. >> I didn't call nobody, sir. >> This woman made a really dumb choice when she engaged with a police officer from that balcony, but she seems to be street smart. She gives the impression of someone who's familiar with cops and jail, and she doesn't seem to be phased by this arrest whatsoever. >> I'm not going to run, sir. But I'm not a runner. >> Just ran. >> Well, because I have PTSD over you guys. >> Hey, come here real quick. Take hands out of your pockets. >> Take your hands out hands out of your pockets. >> Take your hands out of your pockets. >> Oh, yeah. I was just making sure cuz I know her. I was I'm wondering why she was running across the street. And >> how do you know? I was like I just know I she's my friend's niece. >> Okay. And I was wondering why she was like running like like zigzagging across the street and then I see the officer run after her. What happened? >> Okay. Do you have your ID on you? >> I don't. >> Okay. Do you mind if I get your name from you? >> Sure. What happened to her? >> Uh, she's under arrest. >> Is she like okay? >> Yeah, she's good. She I mean she ran. So >> that was just weird like to see her like running right here. She didn't even live right here. >> Hey, so you do have a warrant. Okay. We're not going to we're not going to continue on. It's a petty thing, right? I need to say, "Well, it's not petty. It needs to be taken care of." >> The officers cut the lady some slack and let her go with a warning not to interfere next time they see the cops arresting someone. Meanwhile, the suspect was placed in the squad car and read her rights. After that, she started to explain what happened, but in a really confusing way. >> Do you understand each of these rights as I've explained them to you? >> Have these rights in mind? Do you wish to talk to me now? >> Um, sorry. Yeah. Sorry. I was talking bad to you or talking to you. But it was funny. But it was true. >> You said you know why you're under arrest? >> Yeah. Cuz I had possession of a stolen vehicle, sir. Is that right? >> Which vehicle is stolen? >> The one that you came The one that The blue one. The one that has my belongings inside of it. >> The one that has all your stuff in it. And the one that has that license plate of yours in it? >> That license plate of mine? Yes. I didn't put it to use it. I just picked it up for my house to go cuz I'm rebuilding my magnum again. >> Okay. So, where did you get that car from? >> Um, a friend of mine let me uh borrow it. He was in five. They're in five right now. >> Allegedly, a friend let her borrow the stolen car. However, then she's asked about her friend's name. Her answer tells you all you need to know about the kind of people she hangs out with because they sound like the dangerous types nobody should be around. >> Okay. And who was it that gave you let you borrow it? Um, I don't know if it's a real name, but I can't tell you that I'm going to be in trouble. >> So, when he borrowed it, did he give you a key? >> Huh? Yes. >> Did he give you a key? >> He gave it to me. Um, and also he gave me permission and gave me the key. >> He gave you the key? >> Yes, he did. >> Where's that at? >> You have it? >> Is the one that you had in your hand? >> Yes, that's a key. >> What did he tell you about the car? >> Um, he said he just bought it. That and he bought like he bought six cars and that was one of them. Yeah. >> Bought it from somebody. I'm not sure. >> Does he buy a lot of cars all the time? >> Well, yeah. I've had 16 of my cars sold in. >> The suspect continues to explain how she and her friend buy and sell used cars and rebuild them. Supposedly, she usually checks the car's background before purchasing it, and she used to buy only from dealerships. This time, they bought them from the street. I can't say for certain, but this sounds to me like an organized group that deals in stolen cars. You >> didn't know this car was stolen? >> No, I did not. I don't buy stolen cars. >> Okay. So, what led you to believe that this car was not stolen? >> Um, I didn't care at the time and I was desperate to go home cuz I missed Christmas. >> Okay. >> And I just wanted to go home and see my kids, drop off the gifts, which I didn't get back. It's in another stolen car, I'm pretty sure. >> Now, you were driving. >> No, no, that somebody else was driving. We were supposed to buy it. >> We're supposed to buy it and we were test driving it. And it took them a day back day to get it back. And now my stuff, my my other personal stuff are in there, too. >> So when I asked you who was driving the car, how come you said it wasn't you? >> Um, >> he got her all right. Her answer was that she didn't want to get in trouble, so she probably knew the car was stolen. Think about it. She knew the vehicle was stolen. There are several more potentially stolen vehicles. Her personal things are in at least two of them, and there's video proof of her driving one alone. In the end, however, she was charged with resisting arrest only. and lucky for her, not with possession of a stolen vehicle. On the 1st of March 2022, police were dispatched to a disturbance in a local neighborhood. The house of an elderly woman was being damaged and her belongings were being smashed by a younger woman. The old lady had already been granted a protection order, but this did little to deter the insane woman. >> What's your side? What's going on? What's your name? >> Jennifer. I don't have a >> Well, I'm trying to figure out everything that's going on, but I'm going to have to at the end of this, I'm going to have to do a report that I was out here, so I'm going to need your name so I can fill in the blanks. >> I'm sorry. >> How long How long ago did you let her come in? >> Today is what I guess he's asking you. >> Oh, today. >> Did you let her in here today? A couple days ago? What? >> Three days ago. >> Okay. So, you let her come back three days ago. Did you guys used to be roommates? >> Yes. >> Can you please talk to me? It's going to make things a lot easier. I'm sorry. >> I ain't getting no drugs cuz I I don't know why you keep saying I'm on drugs and stuff and I'm not. >> The older lady looks very shaken up by the entire thing. The younger woman could not get the message that she was not welcome anymore. And when the cops ask her, she's not being very forthcoming with information. Now, >> just hold on a sec. Okay. No, you're Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. You're not going anywhere. Okay, relax everyone. We need a female out here. Here comes a >> I did nothing. I didn't do nothing. Ow. >> Stop. Stop resisting. >> I was going to get the rest of myself. >> Walking away from the cops when they're busy with their investigation is one of the quickest ways to get yourself placed in handcuffs. And once she realized the cops were being serious, she resorted to Karen antics. While on the ground, she was shouting and resisting with the cops struggling to detain her. >> The longer you resist us, the longer you're going to stay on the ground here. >> I didn't do anything. So, the best thing for you to do right now is to just calm down and maybe we can let you sit up. But until you calm down, we're not going to let you go. I didn't do nothing. All I do is go around the tree. You go. >> I have reason to believe that you're wanting to leave. >> I was going to walk around the other tree. >> I'm going to get my case. You good? >> Yeah. >> I didn't swing. I didn't do nothing. >> Well, when I took you down, you started kicking and you kicked me twice. >> I didn't. You did >> give that court order >> using it as a as a pad. >> You want to get her up? >> If we can sit her on her butt, see how she behaves. I'm going to have you sit on your beh. >> Well, right now you're under arrest. >> I didn't hit nobody. I didn't do that. >> Well, you resisted arrest. >> No, I didn't. >> Yes, you did. >> No, I did not. She could have saved herself a world of trouble if she'd simply complied and not assaulted the officer. She's getting extremely antsy at this point, and the cops are nervous to let her sit up. We can't blame them for not trusting her to remain calm, and they're now faced with the task of transporting her to the police station. >> So, you got to stay calm when I attempt to put you in this car. >> Oh my god. >> I'm going to sit in there until you go to jail. >> Lean back against me and stand up. >> Push back against me and stand up. push back against me and stand up. >> You'll have to >> No, it's not. >> What's in your bra? >> What? >> Okay. Do you have anything else on you? >> Thankfully, this doesn't seem to be going too bad. And while she's being loaded into the car, she breaks down and resorts to crying. This is somewhat more bearable, at least, even though her sudden victim act is super annoying. Before everything gets tied together, we need to see the carnage she left behind. >> What happened? >> Okay, if I can have you step out of here, I'm going to get pictures of it. When did this happen? >> Today, >> huh? >> You go to >> Do you know from how long prior to the time we got here? >> She called me probably about 30 minutes before I called you guys. >> You got to talk to me. I don't I I'm not I don't have any. >> I mean, here's the thing. If I mean, >> there's absolute zero need to lie to us at this point. >> I'm not. >> But Karen definitely left a nasty mess for the poor old lady to clean up. Even now, she isn't being truthful with the cops. >> Did you say the value of the picture was? >> I'd say five or $10. I don't >> Who does the picture belong to? >> Huh? >> It's my mom. >> Okay. >> Good. What's the relationship between mom and her? >> Uh, my mom raised her since she was about 18 months. >> Is she a roommate? >> Yes. >> How long they've been roommates? >> Uh, Martina >> since about 18 months. So, I'd say probably the last 30 years. >> Did you see what happened? >> No. >> Martina. >> Did you see what happened? >> No. I was here. >> We definitely feel sorry for the woman whose possessions are now in ruins. This is the thanks that Karen gives her for taking care of her for over three decades. She was charged with resisting arrest and battery on a peace officer. Some thieves just care about getting free stuff by stealing. Others though, they want to do it in style, like our next group of suspects who drove in a black Mercedes to try and rob a beauty store in Neighborville, Illinois. But this trio of wouldbe thieves did not know that the cops were already there waiting for them. This will be a day they'll remember for the rest of their lives. >> Camera's up. Camera's up. >> Got really small wrists. Okay. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. >> Um, >> could I get my phone? >> Yes, please. Just stay safe. One second. >> You don't make the rules here. You just stole from this place. >> Okay. >> Patrol officers heard that people in a Mercedes committed retail thefts in not one but two Ulta Beauty stores. As they patrolled the store on Aurora Avenue, they noticed the vehicle in the parking lot and observed three suspects exiting their Mercedes and entering the store. After confirming that it was the car involved in other thefts, they waited for the suspects to come out. They were holding bags, presumably with stolen goods, and they hopped in the vehicle. As you saw, before they had a chance to flee, the cops surrounded them. They did try and get away, and managed to hit a cop car in the process. >> What's that? >> Yeah, they came out with three bags. Hey, boss man. I'm I'm on body cam. Hey, we're at the Alta. We uh got some retail thievers in custody. Uh they hit one of our cars. So, just letting you know. >> Yep. We have three in custody. Are you injured? >> How old are you? >> I'm 19. >> 19. >> She is pregnant. >> I just want to call her. >> Don't call your mom. >> No, I said I just want >> do want to call her to let her know you're going to take her neighbor. >> The situation seems pretty calm and the officers secure the suspects and get them ready for transport. It appears that all three of them will be arrested for theft. But the young girl has a problem with that. >> That was quick. >> We want to secure the back. Um he's just confirming all three. >> Yeah. We can uh we can probably throw them in cars though cuz they're >> there's PC. >> Yep. Okay. So, I'm going to she What's going on with her? >> You understand that you're under arrest? Everyone. Okay. >> I I do understand that. I just want to know. Is she under arrest as well? >> Yeah. Everybody's under arrest. >> What's she under arrest for? >> What are you under arrest for? Okay. >> Are you unclear? >> Yes. I do want to know what all I'm being charged with right now. >> You're not being charged with anything right now. You're under you're under arrest right now for theft. >> Okay. >> Cuz you guys steal >> and she going to be under arrest for theft, too. >> It's not clear why the girl was asking about her friend, but the fact of the matter is that all three of them participated in multiple thefts. So there's no way any of them walk free, especially because there's probably a lot of surveillance footage which clearly shows them committing the crime. The officer reads her Miranda rightites and then confronts her about the theft. >> So >> you guys went in there and stole some stuff. You guys don't have any receipts for the stuff you just brought out >> and you guys been stealing from other places today. >> Like we was just tired of it. That's why we stopped you finally. >> All right, you guys all went in. You guys all stole stuff. You guys all brought up today. >> You guys all came out. >> The video is muted for some reason, but it's obvious that the girl's trying to come up with some lame excuse for the situation. My guess is she was trying to blame the theft on her friends, but this cop isn't buying it. >> So, it's hard to say that she didn't know what was going on if you guys have been at three different four different stores. Or is it five? Yeah. How many stores have you been to today? Okay. This doesn't actually require an interview because everything's captured on video >> and there's people that do this all day. Loss prevention. >> Yeah. >> So So it don't it don't matter. >> It's retail theft. >> Okay. >> Have you ever been arrested for retail theft? >> No. This your first time. Have you ever been arrested? No. Okay. Have you? So the process is you get handcuffed, you get taken to a jail, you get fingerprinted, photographed, you get charged with retail theft, you have to pay people back, you have to give your the property back. >> Okay. >> Uh you get caught again, it's going to be a felony. Today might be a felony because of the amount they used to. >> 19 with your first felony. That's a bad day. >> That is a bad day. >> This cop was just being real. Probably more real than he was supposed to. Listen to this strange piece of advice he gave the young woman. >> You shouldn't commit felonies. Don't commit felonies in April. >> Okay. >> Or other towns. Go to Cook County. I heard they don't prosecute anything. >> I heard you search. >> You're not injured and all that. So, why'd you run into our car? >> I don't know. >> She's trying to get away. Is that your car? >> No, it's not. >> Is the car stolen? >> No, the car not stolen. >> Whose car is it then? >> It's my mom's car. >> Your car? >> Hang on one minute. growing and then we're going to take a >> I just want to figure out what's going to happen with the car. >> What's going to happen with the car? >> It's going to get towed. >> So, okay. >> I I don't know. >> Possibly. >> Possibly seized. >> Case. That means if it's seized, it means that we're going to take the car. We're going to sell it. >> Can >> What's your first name? >> Can there be any way we work to We can talk about that. We'll talk about the jail. By the looks of it, mom will not appreciate her Mercedes being taken by the police and then sold off. So maybe doing a stylish theft driving mom's merc wasn't such a great idea. As the female officer searches the woman, the male cop asked if she's a drug addict and if she might carry needles in her pocket, but other than a dollar and sickness medication for her pregnancy, she's pretty clean and her stuff gets put in her bag. >> Yeah. What you got? >> Got all my stuff. >> It's all right here. Your phone right here. What's our name again? >> Thank you, man. >> Y'all cooperate with me. Y'all cooperate with y'all. I don't want to make it harder than it got to be today. >> Thank you. >> That means a lot. >> Cooperation's going to go a long way. Okay. >> Thank you. >> That's your sister. >> Younger sister. >> Older sister. >> All right. You make mistakes, right? Like I told her, nobody's injured. Okay. This is a theft, right? Was it dumb? Yes. >> But we're going to learn from that. That's what today's all about. >> The female officer then asked about the pregnancy. It turns out that the young woman is 6 months pregnant and expecting a boy. But the look on her face says it all. Instead of rejoicing and looking forward to it, there's a chance her kid might get born inside jail. >> You want a boy or a girl? >> A healthy baby. >> A healthy baby. There you go. >> Good goal. >> Exactly. Thank you guys for not being >> hard today. >> Hard as you could have been. >> I appreciate >> I appreciate you putting the car in park and then nobody else got injured. Okay. >> Thank you. >> Cuz that that could have been bad. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> I'll tell you next time just stop, right? >> Cuz it's it's going to go like this. Otherwise, it could have been a lot worse, right? Especially when you're pregnant, you don't want to be getting in an accident. Okay? All this mushy stuff is great, but remember, it's supposed to foster cooperation. And even though there's plenty of surveillance footage, nothing beats an all-out confession. Watch as this cop tests the suspect, hoping she'll cooperate even more. >> Can we search your car today? >> Um, can you search it? >> Yes. >> I wouldn't like to search it. It's nothing in there. So, if >> it's a yes or no. >> No, I don't want >> I just need I was just kind of like gauging your level of cooperation. There's stolen property in plain view. So that kind of opens it up and we're told >> it's already it's already y'all already. >> We I was just looking to see like you want to look at the trunk or something. >> Is there anything in the trunk? >> You can open it. Go ahead. But it's nothing in there. >> Okay. Well, >> one light for the car to be searched. It's not my car. >> I got you. So, because there's uh stolen property in plain view, uh that's why it's going to be searched in because it has to get towed. It has to be searched anyway. >> Yeah, that's what I said. It's already going to be searched. I was just going to see like, oh, let's see how cooperative she's going to be. It was kind of like a test. Are you going to pass tests down the road like when we try to talk to you? >> What you mean? >> Be a little more cooperative. >> I'm not trying to make this a test or >> No, that's fine. We're going to put you in the car over here. Okay. >> The officers place the suspect in the car. She has an issue with the camera because she doesn't want her face recorded. But once the officers explained she'd been recorded this whole time, she accepted it without issues. But when she was left alone with the female cop, she tried to get more information about what's waiting ahead. >> Okay. >> Um could um have you ever like been through this before? Like arrested anybody for like similar to this >> for retail theft? >> Yes. >> Could you tell me like how the process of >> Yes. So you read your Miranda right? Is that correct? >> Yeah. >> Yes. Okay. So obviously you know that you were under arrest and like they told you you're under arrest for retail theft. Okay. Um, so obviously the proceeds are in the car which we've already were able to see right away. Okay. And I believe your cooperation. Did you already tell them that you did take some items from in the store today? >> I did. Yes. >> So with that being said, that is kind of why you're under arrest today. Um, depending on who um I don't know if it's going to be myself or we might have some other individuals that want to speak with you, okay, about this today. And we'll do that at the jail. We don't want to do it right out here because there's so many people. We just want to get you back there, air conditioned, get the process going cuz ultimately you're going to come back to the >> Can I get a jacket out my car? I don't want to be cold while >> you actually can't have one in the jail. We do have blankets, though. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, >> the officer focuses on cooperation and having her continue working with the cops and not against them. But my guess is what she really wanted to know is what would happen once she got to the jail. She also hints that not all of the suspects were at fault here, which is hard to believe. >> So, I do want to ask, so if one of us didn't really have nothing to do with it, what would be done with them two though? like would they be in as much as trouble as us? >> So, I don't know who you're referencing and I don't want to provide any information cuz you're not the individual. You know what I'm saying? If you're if you're going to refer to somebody, you know, if you're >> in in that situation, how do you how would you guys go about that though? >> We we like to speak with you. So, ultimately, we're going to ask to speak with every single one of you at the jail. Okay? And if you're being cooperative and you want to speak with us, you know, and you can provide us that side of the story, then we can take that into consideration. >> Okay? >> So, hang tight for us. Okay? I'm going to close this. So the air stays in and then if you need it to get colder, we can get it cooler for you. All right? And I'll keep we'll come back and check on you periodically. Okay? >> We're not going to be here much longer. >> Dario Rice, 19, Skyler Esco, also 19, and Jayla Alustin, 20, were all arrested, getting charged with two counts of felony retail theft and one count of burglary. But Dariel also got charged with attempted criminal damage to government property and driving without a license. They were all released prior to trial, but it seems that Neapville police are still investigating the trio for possible involvement in other retail thefts. So, new charges might be coming soon. Before I go, I would like to know which dog criminal you like best and which one you thought was dumb beyond belief. Let me know in the comments below.
