While she continues to panic, another passenger is questioned by the police. >> We're going to go through this and then maybe it'll happen. >> Tell your first name for me. Uh, J O S H U A >> J O S U H U A. Joshua, what's your last name? >> Uh, West. Yeah, man. You be doing the right thing. >> What's your birthday, Joshua? >> In a few days. 224 223. I mean, are y'all taking me to jail? >> No, we're going to the detective's office where you talk to detectives. Okay. Well, that doesn't mean you're going to jail. It means if you want to talk to the detective, >> man. Yeah. Y'all let me go. >> The backpack's the only thing in there. >> That's mine. That's it, man. Y'all going to let me go, bro. >> What? >> Y'all going to let me go? >> Well, that's what we're going to detect. Yeah, man. I >> Your chances are high, but just you just got to relax until they come figure it out. It's not my call anymore. It's there. >> Yeah. Chuck picked up. She come around. >> You got to tell the detective. >> I will, man. We all, man, you know I ain't done. You know I ain't done nothing, man. Yeah, but man, like I said, I mean, I all I can go in there and tell him Chuck woke me up in my sleep. >> But that's all I know. And I hung out with him and then >> Yeah, I'm closer to Yeah. I was wondering why she didn't want to pull the goddamn thing over. I said, "Damn, pulling her." I was wondering why. I was like, she must right then I knew something wasn't right. It's crazy. I'm God. What are they doing with him? >> We're all going to the detective's office. >> Okay. This suspect claims that he was indeed taking illegal substances, though he shifts the blame on the driver for stealing the truck. Before the suspects are taken to the detective's office, the woman in the black hoodie receives medical attention. >> So, and that's adrenaline rush is okay. That's great. But everybody gets it. But just remember, you also got to stay you got to stay vigilant and you got to say don't get that tunnel >> tunnel vision. >> Why didn't Yeah, I was I didn't have the tunnel vision cuz I we wasn't like the first or the second. >> Well, and I was talking to you too, also making you think about things. >> Yeah. So, it's one of the main reasons I was also like talking to you about things and like how to do things and stuff cuz it breaks your distraction. >> Yeah. You're focused on them and I'm like, "Hey, check out the sirens." And now you're like, "What?" Oh, it's it helps break out that tunnel vision. >> And he's like, "Get ready to run. Get ready to run. Get ready to run." So, I'm like, "Okay." As soon as I stopped. >> Yeah. But it was kind of There was a lot of offer. Normally, there's not that many officers there that >> What are you doing? Later, a search of the vehicle revealed a small handbag full of needles, baggies, and pipes. Some of the baggies contained a crystalall-like substance inside. The driver, only identified as Armstrong, was charged with vehicle theft and fleeing. He was taken to Piaman Creek Regional Jail. A second suspect, identified only as Hansel, was also taken to jail. Wasn't that a wacky discovery? But just wait and see what's in this next video involving a drugaddicted woman who was up to no good. Law enforcement were dispatched to a parking lot following reports of a woman later identified as Erica Danielle Love being physically intimate with someone behind a business building on March 22nd, 2023. >> Hello, police department. >> Hello. >> What are we doing? >> Hello. How are you? >> I'm good. What do we got going on? Someone called and said that you're having back here. >> Daddy came here. >> Do you have an ID on you? >> I don't. >> What's your name? People called and said you were having back here and the business doesn't want you here. So, >> who? >> That's what they said, but they don't want you here regardless. So, I'm going to trespass you and then we'll be on our way. >> Okay. >> What's your name? >> Having said weird. >> Well, it's human nature. But >> I get that, but like I'm by myself. >> Okay. Everything's being audio video recorded. Okay. >> Sorry about that. I was having the bush, right? You knew you'd get me, huh? >> You don't need to uh >> what? >> Fight. >> Love is approached by the officers and asked to look at them when speaking to them. When she's told that she's being detained, she begins to resist. The first officer seems to recognize her, though. >> Where you been, girl? I haven't seen you in a while. >> Last time I saw you got clean, you were walking downtown. >> Yeah, >> that was like 2 years ago. >> 5 days after Domus bailed me out. They wanted me to turn myself in because they want me to do a year in county, man. You got I just got out of I just got bailed out. You You want me to turn myself in now? I'm good. >> Nice. Looks like you're going to county jail. >> I know. Fine, huh? You've been looking for me hella high. >> No, we got we got called about this. >> Remember up at Copper Trail? >> Okay. >> You were posted up at Copper Trail. >> Hey, >> and I was walking I walked past you. >> You were you were not on our radar, Erica. >> Um, >> Erica, do you need any medical attention? >> Yeah. >> Well, you didn't swallow any drugs. >> No, but I did do a She need a full refrigerator. It had a fetty pill and foil. >> Do you need any aid for being in the bushes? >> I want to make sure you're not hurt from >> No, but I saw you coming from afar. So, I took that pillow. So, I >> You didn't see us. >> No, I did too. Obviously, that's why I hid my foil. The >> Nick, stop acting like you know me. >> Oh, we did know you. >> Give me some medical attention because I have a lot of a fentanyl intake. Here, >> we're going to give you some Narcan. Okay. Need some narcan? Okay. >> We're going to put you on your side. Okay. You okay? Well, cuz you're overdosing. >> Okay. Give it to me at my nose. >> Are you overdosing? >> Yes. >> Okay. Well, let me let me let me put this in your nostril then. Okay. >> Hey, best way to withdraw. I'm not overdosing, but it's the quickest way to withdraw. In 3 hours, I'll be off Betty. So, can you put me in a car, please? >> Yep. >> I'd rather go through Get 3 hours of severe pain and 14 days in jail. Witch on. >> Yeah, >> because in 3 hours I'll wake up like I haven't even done. I mean, you just gave me Nan, so >> up to you, Erica. >> Can you put put me in the car? >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Yummy. >> Yep. >> I love you. >> Please not leave my stuff like you did last time. >> I'm taking >> That wasn't me. That was you. >> Nope. >> You and Coats are the ones that arrested me. >> Deputies. >> Oh, you think I'll have bail? >> You see a judge? Probably. >> I don't know. Is this Is this like your final one where you'd have to go to jail? >> This This was um This was uh what do you call that? You get a sentencing. They wanted me to turn myself in and then have a next day uh in custody court hearing and then 5 days later I have a sentence and nothing on me. No. Yeah. No, I don't have nothing on my bar. Yeah. But I'm about to get really ugly with the withdraw. So like can we hurry up and get me? >> We will get there. >> It gets ugly as >> and I'm bleeding hell. able to stop at sleep or what are you going to tell me when you get this? >> Uh, I'll start moving and stretching and like it'll be uncomfortable, but I'll get I'll pass out and then when I wake up I won't be withraw at all. >> It's good. >> It's because of the Naran. That's what I was trying to get you guys to do. Last time I got arrested because 3 hours of withdraw I'd rather do than 14 days in with like >> it's that bad, huh? >> 14 days. It takes me 14 days to go. Yeah, but Naran, every time when I got out of jail, I was in jail for 56 days. When I got out, I ODed four times. >> There's probably a good chance you wouldn't go to jail if you just listen to us. >> Oh, no, no, no, no. I'm going to jail. >> Oh, is that why you lied? >> What do you mean? You already know. >> You always get that name. I always get that name. You always get that name. I was going to say I was going to say Destiny Effinger, but >> did you know it was us? >> Oh, yeah. I knew it was you. >> So, you just Oh, I knew our >> Ever. name you gave me when that guy ran behind you and like smashed me in the face. >> Yeah. Down by hash. >> Wow. You remember that? >> Yeah, that was >> We just know when you give the name out of Michigan, you're the only one that gives a name out of Michigan. >> Yeah, it's an actual name. It's my sister. She was >> Well, she doesn't She wasn't born in 2002 this time. >> No, I up. [laughter] >> Maybe the big sigh of relief, too. Sigh when he asked you your birthday. Well, our surgeon's going to stop by and ask a couple questions to you. Okay. >> Like for what? >> I don't know. He's just going to make sure you're okay. >> Yeah. I was trying to withdraw. She's going to stop. So, >> okay. >> No, dude. I don't know why the I was Yeah, I was having with the tree. >> She just saw your shorts. >> Saw my shorts. >> Legs. That's what she thought. >> Love admits to taking opioids. So, the officers administer a dose of Narcan to reverse a potential overdose before placing her into the back of a police car. However, [music] she refuses to cooperate with EMS when they ask to take her vitals. >> You know that person? >> Hey, take your stuff. Electricity. >> No, I'm not taking my stuff. I'm taking it with me. >> Hop in, Erica. >> No, you would not have let me go. >> We don't know. >> I just want to make sure you're okay. Can I take some vitals? Can you make this a little easier on you so I can help give you the best care possible? >> We'd really love to help you, Erica. Take your vital. >> No, I don't want to. >> Radio 225. We'll take another unit for putting one in the rep. >> I really just want to go to sleep, man. >> I know. I'm going to jail. So, >> here. Let me talk to her real quick. >> There's too many people to Anyways. >> Hey, Erica. It's Sergeant Levit with the Olympia Police Department. >> So, I'm here to talk to you about the use of force that happened. Are you willing to talk to me about that? >> Yeah, sure. Why not? >> Okay. Okay. So, just understand that you are being audio and video recorded right now. Okay. >> Mhm. >> So, um I'm responding because it sounds like the officers had to take you down to the ground to get [clears throat] you into custody. Can you tell me kind of what happened? >> Did you recognize that the police were contacting you and that they were official officers? >> No, I did not. >> You didn't. You didn't? >> No. I sto I stood up and they took me to the ground. >> Did Did you hear them identify themselves at all? >> No, I didn't hear. >> Did you notice they were wearing uniforms? >> I had headphones and I had my hood on. I didn't see them at all. Did you notice they were driving police cars? >> No, I didn't see them come up. >> Nothing at all. Did they tell you that you were detained or anything like that? >> Not until they had their hands on me. >> Okay. And when they had their hands on you and you resisted, was that for any particular reason other than >> I didn't know who they were. >> But you said you noticed who they were once they had their hands on you. >> No, after they had me subdued, then I they my headphones got ripped from my ears and I heard them say, "We're police officers." >> Okay. Are you injured in any way? >> Yeah, my knee. >> Your knee's injured? >> Yeah. >> What happened to your knee? >> Dude, when they put me down to the ground, they they stepped on me. >> Okay. Are you willing to sit up so that I can look at your knee? I You should document the injury if there's an I just want to go to jail. >> Okay. So, are you willing to let the fire guys check you out real quick? >> Nope. >> You're not willing to let them check you out? >> Nope. >> And you're not willing to sit up so I can see the the injury to your knee? All that stuff will get got get captured on body camera when you come out and go to the jail. You know that, right? >> I know. I know. I don't care. >> Okay. He doesn't want your guys' help. So, >> I just want to keep an eye on her while she's in that position. >> You're going to run? >> Yeah. >> Why are you going to run? [music] >> You're not going to try to slip your cups and run, are you? >> Yeah, definitely >> you are. Just understand that if you do that, that force will be used on you and you will get more injured. Okay. >> Yep. Don't care. >> We don't want you to get more injured. >> Just Why are you guys slow on taking me to the jail? >> Uh because you refused to sit up. We were going to wrap you up in this cute little burrito here in just a minute. Soon as we get some more people over here. >> Oh my god, dude. Just take me to the jail. >> If you want to go to the jail, then you need to sit up so I can put your seat belt on you and then we'll take you there. That That's your options. You either sit up so I can put your seat belt on, dude. >> Or I'm going to put we're going to end up putting you in this little burrito. wrap you up real nice so that you can't slip your handcuffs, you can't run, and then we'll take you to jail that way. Those are kind of your options right now. >> Yeah, let's do the burrito wrap. That sounds comfortable. >> Okay, that's what we're going to do as soon as one more officer gets here. Okay. >> Love continues to act like a dysfunctional child in the back of the police car. Even when the sergeant gives her the option to sit up properly or get wrapped up, she chooses the ladder. While an additional officers called in to help wrap the addict up, the sergeant speaks to witnesses who reported the suspect. >> Hey, I'm Sergeant Levit. So, I understand you guys witnessed what happened with the officers. >> Two officers. >> Okay. >> We definitely saw the officers pull up. They called. >> Mhm. >> Um I [snorts] answered because I'm the one who called it into dispatch. >> Yeah. >> Cuz it looked like two people. I'm sorry. >> Yeah. >> And so we're like, "Hey, that's not okay." and they called and they said, "Hey, where's this happening?" And they said, "Oh, around the back of the store." And he goes, "Oh, okay. I see." So, they ended the call and they approached the person and they got up and they attempted to run away and they used what I considered was a safe and necessary amount of effort to stop someone from fleeing. >> Nick. Nick. >> He's on the other side. If you get out and talk to me, it's restarted. >> Why the do I go back to drugs? All right, we're going that way. >> You got to step out for us. >> Why the do I go? That's good. >> I don't know. It's sad. It really is. >> Holy. >> Okay. How How are we going to get you out of here? >> Hold up. >> All right. >> Okay. Hold on. I can get up. It's Godzilla. >> Lay on your belly. On your belly for us, Erica. >> Lay on my stomach. >> On your stomach. >> Flat on my stomach. >> Yep. Right on your stomach. Okay. >> Ow. You guys are piece. >> It's a little complicated. >> I'll cooperate. I don't give a She Please have to roll her back onto her stomach. >> Roll in your stomach again. >> Serious. Yeah, >> man. >> Guys, like >> whatever shoes these are shoes on. >> Yeah, those are some shoes. >> I quite like them. Love was charged with suspicion of thirddegree assault, resisting arrest, making a false misleading testimony to a public servant, and an out of town warrant. We've got another case for you featuring the most hilarious suspect takedown we've seen in a long while. Deputy Christopher Murphy was patrolling the W section of Palm Coast in Flaggler County, Florida on January 4th, 2025 when he spotted 38-year-old Michael McDermott standing beside a bicycle on the sidewalk along Pine Lakes Parkway. The officer approached McDermott, who picked up his bike from the ground and rode away. Deputy Murphy activated his lights and continued to pursue the suspect, who only slowed down gradually. What's up, man? >> Stop. >> Stop right there. >> Mike on the bike. >> Stop right there. He's playing. Seriously, what the [ __ ] dude? Seriously, what the do? Why' you do that? >> Put your hands behind me. Huh? I didn't put behind your back. Get you in the pool, bro. >> What'd you throw right there? >> I didn't throw anything. >> I need to get my leg, bro. >> As Deputy Murphy chased after McDermott, the suspect produced a firearm. Thinking quickly, the officer rammed the man with his patrol vehicle, knocking him off his bike. He drops the gun as a result. Shortly afterwards, Deputy Michael Anderson rushes to the scene to assist with the arrest. >> What'd you throw? >> I didn't throw anything. >> You didn't throw something right there? >> No, man. >> Yeah, you did. >> The [ __ ] >> I mean, why did you get anyways? >> Get up. >> No, I just stopped me. >> You cuz you were laying on the ground. >> I wasn't laying on the ground, bro. Get up. >> I literally picked my backpack up. Like what the Dude, >> spread your feet. >> What the? Seriously, bro. >> Where you coming from? >> I have to go in my house, bro. >> Where you coming from? >> Your friend's house, man. >> Where's that? >> Down in the W section. >> What? >> Uh, maybe. They're all freaking out over there, bro. They ain't doing nothing wrong, bro. laying on the ground. >> Okay. >> Crazy, bro. Hard, bro. That's I have to put my foot down, dude. I'm not trying to be a bro. Like, I just, man, like what the >> Mike German man, man. >> I asked you to stop. A loaded 9mm Ruger firearm was recovered at the scene as well as a holster that McDermott was wearing. The suspect was charged with the following: assault [music] or battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer with violence, fleeing and eluding, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Once he received treatment for a minor ankle injury, he was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall inmate detention facility. This next one is a heck of a watch, so don't go clicking away just yet. An alarm was triggered at the Vacation Land Federal Credit Union branch on University Drive East in Huron, Ohio on July 26th, 2023. Responding officers headed to the location where they heard noises from the roof above the drive-thru area. They noticed a blue recycling bin [music] had been strategically placed beneath an access door. 995. Come over to the drive-thru. All right, go unit. >> Suddenly, the access door swings open and a heavy duffel bag drops through. Not long after, 27-year-old Tristan H Highle of Hiron, Ohio, falls out, not knowing that the police [music] are waiting patiently nearby. Just listen to the suspect's reaction when he realizes he's been caught. >> [ __ ] >> Get out. Get out. Put your hand hand behind your back. >> Who's here with you? Me. Judging from the suspect's construction tools in his inventory, it was clear that he planned on burglarizing the building. Following his arrest, he was charged with breaking and entering possession of criminal tools and safe cracking. At the time of writing, Hidle is being held on a $50,000 bond. You won't believe what goes down next. A foolish driver is caught with some suspicious goods in his pocket. Trooper Remington Lively noticed a green Chevrolet truck driving down State Highway 56 with expired tags in Arkansas on November 2nd, 2020. Naturally, he initiated a traffic stop and pulled over the driver, who would be identified as Brad Ellen Edmonston. The driver seemed approachable at first, but the officer was about to make a surprising discovery. Okay. >> Did you? >> Yeah. >> I'm triple live with Arkansas State Police. >> Reason I stopped your tag, >> right? Rand even got D injured. Okay. Where you headed today? Take your home. Home. Got your driver's license on you. I get mine tomorrow. You know, >> good deal. Black finally laid down on them. >> Did it. >> How did mom and dad did? >> Good. >> Okay. Where'd you say y'all was headed today? She's taking me back to where I was. >> Back to where you were? Okay. You read anything in the vehicle today? >> No. >> Nothing at all. Can I search your vehicle? >> Go ahead and hop out with me. >> Anything on your focus, man? No. I don't know. >> Safety for weapons. Can I search your pockets? >> Do what? You want me to empty my bucket all day long? >> Oh god. >> Yeah, you're in for two. >> Oh my god. You might need a >> Yeah. I thought those were candy. We pitch another breaker for the car on top of it. Mhm. >> Okay. >> Edmonston agrees to a search of the vehicle. Following this, a baggie containing a white substance is found in [music] Edmonston's pocket. Regardless, the trooper places the suspect under arrest. Following this, Edmonston tries to wrestle his way out of captivity. Meanwhile, the female passenger records the scuffle on her phone. >> No, dude. >> You don't want to tense up. Okay. You want to do this the easy way or the hard way? >> Turn around. >> That did not come out of my pocket, buddy. >> Promise you. Step over there. >> What the mom right now? >> Step over there. >> Hey, dude. >> I don't do that. >> No, you ain't doing. >> Come on, man. >> Look, you're fixing to have a real bad day. >> Well, look. Edmonston is placed in the back of a police car where he continues to scream and shout, >> "Hey, open this door up. Dr. Can't put the game. [screaming] Hey, I can't breathe. Open the door. You should have thought about that before you call the cop. Stay behind your back. Okay. >> Hold on. What? >> You called the cops, >> man. Come here, dude. Got to get the cop. You made some bad decisions, >> dude. I was just trying to tell you don't tuck my head by the back cuz that's what temp. I'm being serious, dude. I'm hurting. Hurt bad. Oh god, dude. Come on, man. >> Despite being arrested, all charges against Edmonston were eventually dropped in 2021. It was not revealed in the police report what the suspicious substance in the baggie was, either. A drunken father is approached by a trio of concerned officers after seeing his son in terrible condition. Concerned eyewitnesses spotted a man who appeared impaired on June 19th, 2022. The man was with a 4-year-old child who was sitting on a wall and had a full diaper. So, the police were called in to perform a welfare check. >> Happy Father's Day. >> So, so the reason we're here is because somebody called in for a welfare check. Um, they said that it it seems like you maybe had too much to drink. Have you Is this your dollar? job behind you. Is this yours? >> This is yours. >> I know. Is this your dollar? >> This is Russia. >> Okay. No, we just we're just someone called in and we're just checking to make sure that you guys are okay cuz you looks like you spilled spilled a little bit and we just want to make sure that you're okay. You guys can help talk to talk to him. This is my son. >> But we want to talk to you first cuz you're you're responsible for him. >> And he's not wearing any shoes. >> Who that? >> It doesn't matter. He's just he's just walking down the street. >> I live in that mut. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, what are you what are you doing over here? >> What? Oh, >> well, if you if you live, what are you are you just hanging out down here? I mean, it's a nice day out. I know. I give money for that guy over there and I move over here cuz I want to wait for my brother and the my me I don't I don't know how to speak furry. >> Oh, that's fine. >> English. So you have family who's coming over here to meet you. You have family, your brother, you said you have family coming to come meet you. >> So what do you if you live over here or if you live just right over here, what are you doing over here on the corner? >> No, >> I know. >> I know. Have you maybe had a little bit to drink today? >> Me? >> Yeah. >> I don't know how to speak English. Okay. >> What language do you speak? What language? >> What happened? >> What happened here? >> You can talk to her. >> Yeah, I will. >> You guys can take >> Yeah, I'll talk to him and you guys. >> This is my son. >> I understand. >> No one's No one's challenging that. No one is saying that he's not your son. >> Will you guys like talk to you guys like like I >> Hi, baby. >> Someone just called and said they were concerned because they said you look a little unsteady. Someone driving by said you looked a little unsteady. >> Who? Who? >> We don't we don't know them personally. There was two people have driven by and said that it seemed like you maybe have had too much to drink. >> This is my son. >> Absolutely. Nobody's Nobody's doubting that. Can we call someone for you? >> Okay. Okay. >> Yeah, I think that would be a good >> Do you have Do you have a phone number of a friend or a family member who can come help out and get you get you home? >> Yeah. Is mom here? Is she down here? that this test that's the test that's the >> is that a problem >> problem because >> I always call them >> and they never >> Do you so do you you live right over here though right >> can we can we help just walk you over there I mean is that something we can do I'll take carry you >> got no shoes on can I carry you here sweet >> how old are you all wet how old are you >> very sticky >> okay well he's just literally walking away from his kid. So, we're not going to We have to make sure there's a an adult >> who can get this child safe. >> Well, I mean, he's just literally leaving his kid. >> Yeah. >> Hi, baby. >> What's your name? >> That's a step right now. Are you okay? Are you hungry? >> Yeah. Is there someone here? Oh, that is a person. >> Do you know this little boy? >> Sorry to bother you. Do you know him? >> No. Okay. Okay. Not on the ground. You have it. >> The father here is showing signs of impairment and is struggling to answer basic questions. After being asked if the officers can walk to where he lives, he abandons his son and begins walking away. The female officers carry him with them and are quick to notice that he doesn't even have any shoes. >> Where Where do you live right now? Do you Are you still staying in the apartment? Uh the motel? >> Is there Is there anyone else there or is it just you at the motel right now? >> No, me and my uh brother and my brother Eno. >> So, you have family that's here as well? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, yeah, we'll just come over here. >> This is my son right here. Yeah. >> He's very cute. What's his name? Chosen. >> Say it again. >> Chosen. And like how do you say like chosen? >> Okay. Right on. He's very clean. Very cute. >> Who say >> who call you guys? People drive by. They just thought that you you look like you maybe had a couple drinks this morning and were a little understudy. You did. >> I'm I'm joking. >> Yeah. How much? >> Today is my day off. >> Yeah. Father's Day. I know. Yeah. You got to you got to relax, you know. >> Yeah, we are not letting this boy go with him until we have another grownup. >> We just wanted to make sure that you were okay, that he was okay, and that you got someone else here who can kind of keep an eye on everybody. So, are you guys Which one are you guys in? >> You can. So, do you not have your uh car key, your key card? My my brother you know my brother you know that the one that have my uh car key. >> Okay. But you which which room are you staying in? Can I see you here? Do you have any owies? Huh? You have any owies on you? What happened? You're all sticky. Do you know how old you are? Can we Is there somebody in the room that we can knock on the door? >> No. Can you guys talk to the owner? >> I don't know if they're here. It's Father's Day, so they're probably not here. >> Can you Can you come talk to this? >> Are you the owner of the motel? >> Yeah. >> Is this his room? >> Yeah, his room. >> This is his room. >> This room? >> The next one? >> Yeah. But today checking today checking. But this guy this room number room number room number room number room number room number room number room number room number room number room six. But this stop your brother. Where are you going? Huh? Yeah, brother. They they go somewhere somewhere. He said at 12:00 here, huh? Yeah. He say at 12:00. >> I'm trying to wait for them. >> Do you have a phone number for me? >> Yeah, we need to. >> Will you stay with him and I'll go with him? >> How do you How do you think of me? >> No. I Hey, I just want to make sure that you're okay. >> You know what I'm saying? No. >> Hey, that's that's what I'm That's what I'm here for, right? cuz I I'm just trying to make sure that you're okay and that your your son's okay and that you that you able to get your >> That is my son. >> Yeah. And I know you care about him a lot, but we just have to make sure that you guys are okay. >> Yeah. Well, you're so big. Is it just him and this kid? >> His brother's also staying here in a separate room. >> So, okay. I want to like keep them separate. >> Yeah. >> So, >> he like does not even know. That's what I'm saying is I feel like we should just go take him and put him in a cop car. >> Can I have his thing, too? >> I'm going to take him and just go put him in a cop. >> This is the the Okay. Yeah. Go ahead. What are we going to do? Okay. >> There's a guy here. >> This is him. Yeah. >> Okay. And then this is his phone number or >> Yes. >> his phone number. >> No, this is >> this is the brother's >> the brother's phone number. Okay. >> What's problem? Um he's really drunk and his kid was just like sitting out there with him on the corner of Pack Highway and he's sticky. He's not wearing any shoes. He walked away from his kid and just acted like it was no big deal. So, hi. Can you help me out with something real quick? >> Can I just get like some wet paper towel cuz he's all sticky? And I bet I mean an ice like some water would be awesome. Thank you so much. Thank you. Oh, this is warm. Let me see you. You're all sticky. What happened? Oh, your phanto went everywhere. Hi, this is Officer Paul. I'm with the Federal Way Police Department. Are you staying at the motel here in Federal Way? Yeah. Okay. Well, you're your brother's here and he's very very intoxicated. We found him down the street with his son. His son is covered in like sticky juice and he's not wearing any shoes and he's not able to take care of his kid right now. So, are you able to come meet with us to take take the kid? Yeah. He can't take care of the baby. The baby was found on the corner with no shoes and covered in like pop. You're coming? Okay. Meet me over in the Advanced Auto Parts parking lot. Okay. Advanced Auto Parts. It's literally right next door to the motel. I'll meet you over in the parking lot. Okay. Yep. We'll have the boy with us. Yep. Thank you. Bye-bye. >> And how you guys collect things. >> Huh? How you guys going to think? >> I think you've had too much to drink. I think you probably need to go. You're You're covered in like pop. I think you should go take a a shower and maybe go to sleep and let >> I'm okay. I'm okay right now, but I don't know why you guys who are you guys like who who call you guys? >> We two people have two people have >> two people just driving driving by. I saw you guys on on the corner and they were just wanted to make sure. >> The officers follow the suspect to the motel that he's staying at and contact his brother. After being told why he's being checked on, the father walks away, leaving his son. Later, the man's brother arrives on the scene. >> Why you guys didn't put in jail? >> You guys need to put him in jail. >> Put him in jail. >> Yes. That's the only way you're going to stop doing this. This is not the first time you do this. >> I was just going to ask you, this is like this is a common thing. >> Yes. Always. >> Okay. Where's mom at? >> Mom run away. >> Mom's not involved. >> Okay. >> Because of him. >> Okay. >> He always fighting with us because of something is nonsense. Cuz I want you guys to put him in jail forever. Not for forever cuz he never listened to us. Can we say something to him? >> He never going to listen to us. >> I I get it. I see. I see you're very upset about it. I understand that. Um >> so when it comes to cuz I mean I get you guys have your own beef, but right he doesn't have a choice on this matter. You guys could hypothetically just leave, but our concern is him. So, as far as like is he the only parent that's involved with this young little boy? And do you guys have the resources to take care of him? Like if you were to have custody or >> me and my wife is the one who don't have the boyfriend. >> Do not want to or are do >> you do or don't? >> Do you want to? >> So, and what I'm getting at is that then a case can be made, right? So, what we're going to do is we're going to write up a case to CPS as as well as charges against your brother for his behavior. Um, you can go to the court and petition to become his sole legal custodians if he doesn't want anything to do with him. He can sign him over and then you can take custody of him. Um, but you could also look into like getting protection orders which would protect you guys from him and that would make it a lot faster because it's DB and he'd get arrested. So I would if you're serious about it start looking into >> because ultimately today you guys are protecting him and obviously >> we always be on that you know that. >> Yeah. And that's what I'm saying is is like I would genuinely look into and we'll get your information and note in our report, but start looking into the process to take legal custodianship over him because if he's unfit, >> he doesn't need to be. >> Does that make sense? And we will we will support it as much as we can. We'll do our part as much as we can. >> Okay. >> The suspect's brother makes it clear that he is more than capable and willing to look after the boy while hoping that his sibling will be sent to jail. Later the father returns and is not happy about what's going on to hospital but there is no family with him. How the you going to do that? >> Hey hey hey. You are not going to be doing this. Get back or you'll be placed under arrest. I get that. But you're drunk and you're not going to be any help to nobody. Do you understand me? I am telling you, you are going to let him go to the hospital and be seen and we will make sure he's safe. Do you understand? >> Did you say that? >> Yes. They're not drunk. You are. We're not doing this today. Not in front of your boy. >> That is my son. >> I get that. But you're drunk and you're no help to nobody right now. Do you understand? You're drunk. Let him go get seen at the hospital. They know where you live. They are your brothers, right? >> What the [ __ ] >> They just want to make sure that he's okay. That's That's all they're doing. Okay. >> That is my son. >> Yeah. And they're just going to make sure that he's okay. The firefighter, they just want to make sure to get him checked out. That That's it. They're not taking him away. They just want to make sure that he's okay. >> Would you rather a strangers? >> Remember me. Remember me. Okay. >> Are you threatening your family in front of police officers? >> No. >> Sounds like a threat to me. >> I'm not. >> Listen, would you rather strangers take your son? cuz it's either he goes with us or he goes with your family. You choose. >> We're just trying to look out for him and look out for you. Okay, that's all we're trying to do right now. >> Unfortunately, we're at the place where either he goes into CPS custody or he goes with your brothers. >> So, you choose. >> He needs to go get seen at the hospital. Okay. It's about his It's about his health over what you want right now. >> Okay. >> Okay. If you can just sober up, go stop drinking. Find a clear moment, right? And then we start again later. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Anyway, anyway, I can talk to my brother. >> They don't want to talk to you. >> They want They don't want They just came from them. They don't want to talk to you. They want you to go back. >> Only my brother. >> They don't want to talk to you. I just talked to them. They want you to >> They want you so she >> angry because you are drunk with your kid on the side of Pack Highway. His diaper is soaked and he's covered in Fanta. That's why I'm upset. I'm here to protect this little boy, not you. You need to go and sleep it off. Can >> Can I walk you back over there? >> No, no, no, no, no. I always try to ask you guys like, I just want to talk to my brother, please. >> They don't want to speak to you right now. Okay. You have to respect that. You can't force people to talk to you. Yep. [crying] [screaming] >> I cannot touch you right now. You know that. Come here. Come here. Come here. >> Come here. Come here. Sometimes. Come here. >> Okay. >> Do you want to change? I can change this diaper if you want. You want to do >> You want to sit right here with me? Hey, look at that. >> The suspect returned to the motel and would be cited for child criminal mistreatment. The boy's uncle and a CPS representative met officers at the hospital. CPS already had custody of the family's older child. Once the 4-year-old was medically cleared, he was placed in temporary custody until his uncle could obtain full custody. Be sure to subscribe to the channel and like the video before we delve into the next case involving a child snatcher. Police officers in Louisville, Kentucky stopped 40-year-old Robbie Wilt during a traffic check in the Valley Station neighborhood on July 2nd, 2021. Wilt had kidnapped a 6-year-old girl, but a vigilant [music] neighbor saw the terrifying scene and reported him to the police. That's >> probably going to be it. 310. I just had one turn on get caught up to it right now. >> What was that partial tag again? >> William John Paul is what he said it was showing. >> All right, I got it. William, >> you see your hands? >> What's your exact location? >> Hands. Put your hands in the air. Stay right there. Stay right there. >> 10,602 grappin hall. Keep your hands in the air. >> Turn around. >> Turn around and back towards me. >> Hall. >> Keep walking back. Keep walking back. >> Keep walking back. Keep walking back. Keep walking back. Get on your knees. Get on your knees. Stay right there. >> Stay right there. I >> think it's going to be 10. >> Stay on the ground. >> Keep your mouth shut. >> 384. Security one more. >> With Wilt held at gunpoint by one of the officers, it's clear that he's going nowhere. A second officer arrives to rescue the child from the back of the suspect's car. 3 4 3 >> One more in the car. >> One more in the car. >> Open the passenger door. >> On the ground. On the ground. >> Open the passenger door. Driver, passenger. >> Hello. >> It's okay. >> Come here. >> It's okay. [crying] >> We're 1086. We have her. >> Wilt admitted to abducting the child and claimed that he intended [music] to return her once he realized the seriousness of his actions. He faced charges for kidnapping a minor under 12, firstderee unlawful imprisonment, and endangering the welfare of a minor. Are you ready for one final case? You're about to come face to face with a killer. Brian Cobberger, a PhD student in criminology, was pulled over by Washington State University police for running a red light in Pullman, Washington during November 2022. But Coberger had a dark secret. He murdered four University of Idaho students in their off-campus home by stabbing them to death. Their bodies were found on November 13th. >> Hello. >> I am officer Langus. Stop being audio and video recorded. Think I know. I think you know why I stopped you. You ran the red light. >> What actually happened was I was stuck in the middle of the intersection. >> Yeah. So I was I was behind you the whole time. Yeah. >> Yeah. So technically you're not supposed to enter the intersection at all for that reason cuz if the light turns red then you're stuck in the intersection then you run the red light. So that's the reason I stopped you. Do you have your license on you? >> Johnson that street. Do you have the registration and insurance? Yeah. >> Let me just get this for you out. >> You're what? >> I'm just going to get this out for you. >> Okay. >> So, can you would you explain that to me a little bit further? So in Pennsylvania when you're stuck like in an intersection you have to make the left. >> So what would what would the appropriate thing for me to have >> done just just >> you're not supposed to block an intersection like that in Washington. So just by you blocking the intersection that's technically a ticketable violation and then thus then you're running a red light. So it's another ticketable offense. So, you're not supposed to proceed into the intersection until you can go cuz a lot of people do what you just did, right? Is like you're sitting in the intersection waiting and then turns and you're blocking. So, >> yeah, there was a little bit of confusion with speeding because someone had stopped. I wasn't sure what they were doing and then they put on their light to turn. >> So, I thought that maybe they were letting me go through. >> Oh, >> did you see that? >> No. Mm-m. >> Yeah. Like right before I made the turn, there was someone who made a right. >> They didn't have their, >> you know, their signal on, so I wasn't sure if they were just waiting. >> Mhm. Yeah. So, I would just advise >> uh just don't enter the intersection until you can go so you don't get stuck. Um let's see. >> But in that situation, the best thing to do then would be back up >> and not >> I don't know if there's a best thing to do in that situation cuz you're either going to back up into somebody or you're going to run a red light. So, or you're going to be sitting in an intersection. >> Yeah. >> There's not really a great option there. >> Yeah. I was just slightly into the crosswalk. So, >> yeah. Yeah. Where I'm I'm from Pennsylvania, we actually don't have like crosswalks. Oh. >> So, even if you're if you're kind of slightly they have there's a little bit more leeway as well. Like there are a few lines like there's one white line and there's another one like there's like a like a certain >> margin from which you can actually kind of put your vehicle place your vehicle. Mhm. >> Um, >> yeah. >> Yeah. So, I know laws vary stateto state, but there is a law >> in Washington for blocking an intersection like that proceeding through when you don't um when you're just stalling. I forget the actual verbiage. I can find it for you, but it's like stalling, blocking an intersection. >> I'm just curious about the law. I don't mean to >> Oh, no. Yeah, I can find it for you. >> Mhm. >> Um, one second. That looks good on a Hyundai. I don't see Pennsylvania registration like at all. Okay, let's see. Expires November 22nd or 2022. Okay. And >> yeah, one of those is actually >> Yeah. Okay, that looks good. I'll hand that back to you. I'm just going to go check your info. I'll check >> apologizes to the officer for asking too many questions about the law, but the officer is more than happy to correct him on his traffic violation. After checking his information, he returns to the driver. Okay, so I found it. So I don't know what in Pennsylvania the where you go to find laws, but in Washington it's called the Revised Code of Washington. So I'll try to turn my brightness up, but um it's basically it's just called an RCW. So it's RCW46.61.202. So it's no driver shall enter an intersection unless there is significant space on the other side of the intersection. um to accommodate the vehicle. He is operating without obstructing the passage of other vehicles despite any traffic control signals signal indications to proceed. So, you had a green light. So, you're thinking you can go, but you're blocking the intersection. So, that's um if you're ever curious in any laws in Washington, u just revised code of Washington. Um so, I'm not writing a ticket or anything like that today. I understand you're from Pennsylvania, but in the future, don't proceed through the intersection. You can't get stopped for that alone. Um unless you can clearly just clear it right away. Okay. So um >> so then basically I understand >> you're just supposed to wait behind the >> the white line. Drivers do it all the time. Um but >> it never even occurred to me that that was actually something wrong that I except for the fact that I was blocking the crosswalk which is went through. >> And states vary lot from laws like Pennsylvania might not even have that law but in Washington we do. I I'm actually just from a very rural area, >> so we just don't have crosswalks. >> Oh, >> unless I visit an area where there are crosswalks and then it's it's not very frequent. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I I do apologize if I was asking you too many questions about the law. I wasn't trying to like >> No, no, no, not at all. Like I understand you're not from here. So, um if you don't A lot of people don't know a bunch of laws, like I only know it because this is what I do. But um yeah, if you're ever curious on any more laws, just RCW and they can be hard to read cuz it's in like legal language. But um hope that helps. >> Definitely. >> Yeah. Have a good day. >> Definitely. You too. >> Thanks. >> Coberger may have gotten off the hook for this minor traffic violation, but one month after this encounter in November 2022, he would be charged with four counts of firstdegree murder and one count of felony burglary. He was arrested in December 2022 and is currently being held without bail. According to prosecutors, in June 2023, they intended to seek the death penalty. Coberger's trial has been scheduled to begin in June 2025. [snorts]
