What started as a family night outside a bar, quickly changed when one family member got caught. As emotions took over, arguments turned into a fight, and officers suddenly had much bigger problems to deal with. >> [music] >> How old are you? >> 21 years old. >> Okay. >> I live with Stay right here. Don't I won't do do anything wrong. >> I told you do not approach three times. Remember? >> I won't do anything wrong. I was just defending myself. >> If he tries to say anything, I don't really care. >> I won't do anything wrong. >> All right, listen. You just did that. You're not under arrest. Sit down right here. Sit down. >> I'm fine. I'm fine. >> Sit down. >> I I I'm a boss. >> I was just randomly bystander like not involved in any parties with them. Them guys were trying to leave the bar. Them bouncers >> All right, just hear me a second. >> I'm just letting you know like them bouncers these guys are trying to leave. >> I'll be in two minutes. >> They were out of line. >> Just go over there for >> I'm trying to help you, man. That's >> All right, I know. Just go over there. >> Yeah, I'm just trying to tell you what's right. That's all. >> All right. You got my ID in there? >> Yeah. >> And your girlfriend is in >> I I'm not going to lie. I was in charge of her, so I need her ID. I'm charging for time. I'm charging That's all I did. >> What happened? >> I What? >> What happened? >> I saw my dad grab >> Stay over there. >> Yo, see what he was doing? >> Okay. All right. Stay over there, all right? >> I didn't grab anyone. >> So >> I didn't grab anyone. >> I don't know. >> I said I'm trying to protect >> I just walked in and >> Grab me and >> Just step over there. >> Yeah, that's my >> Okay, just step over there for me. >> Dude, I I saw what happened. >> Okay, so just step over there >> and I was speaking to him for like 30 cops. I'm not going to lie. >> Like >> I'm not going to lie. They didn't put me in cuffs for no reason. I'm not going to lie. >> Huh? >> I walked out I walked out and saw my dad getting it. Grab by the bouncer's side. Stepped in and I was like, "Hey, let go of him. Let go of him." And they shoved me and then one of you guys put me in cuffs. You know, like I'm the last person in the in this situation. I promise you. >> Okay, like I said, I'm the last one here, so >> I know. I know. I know. I'm clearly the last person in line. >> Oh, it ended up being all of this. It started in the back. I told the lady to tie her with them. She got to put her shoes on. Just glasses and stuff. He comes up to me, the person he can't hold it and then the guy he comes up to me and he gets up on me. He's like, "Why you got to ruin the what she did?" He's like, "Shoes less, you don't even look." He's like, "Well, that's we're just trying to have a good and he was coming at me." But he wasn't with her. With uh no, no the other girl is still in here. And then uh that's when he got like mine was earlier. I didn't hit the girl like that. That's when he grabbed my collar. That's when we started fighting. All we did was shove. Yeah, and then that's when my dude stepped up and he was opening his up and helping break it up. And then the son and the daughter came in and they were trying to get involved. The son's the one on the curb right now. Uh he was putting his like holding them while holding my arm at the same time. I was like, "Let go of my arm. We're just going to All I did like all we did was escort him out." I guess by the time he got here, I didn't see what happened at this point. I know who was calling. Once he was already so as soon as we got outside, the dad was the dad was the one definitely calling the cops. >> What happened? >> Um I was telling her that I told Alice to go put her put her slides back on. And the guy just came up real bold. So he just started yelling at Alice. He was saying to you? I told Alice to go tell her to put her slides back on. And the guy just came and got all mad and everything and all that stuff started pushing around. And I saw the guy grab Alice's slide shoe right there pushing her uh pushing all of it. And then the whole the whole thing right there just came out all of it. So You guys right over there? >> Yeah. There's a the female that's standing with them, they were telling her to just put her shoes on. They're not involved. They're they're not with her. They're separated. So they were telling her to put her shoes on cuz that's her you know, their policy or whatever. Yeah. And then he came up, the dad came up saying like, "Hey, like why you bothering her? We're just trying to have Everybody's trying to just have a good time." And then he he told him like, "It's just our rule, you know, you just choose a glass. Like you got to have them on." And then that's when the dad grabbed the biggest the white the white security by his collar and he's got a like he's got a a hole in his shirt. And then that's when and the dad started scuffling and then um came in and tried to help. And while they're scuffling fight fighting with him, the son ended up the son and the daughter ended up running up and the son was getting involved trying to help like grab arms grab grab his security his arms and [ __ ] like that. So I guess that's when they got him out here and then so whoever was here ended up pulling him out. >> So my brother >> Yes. >> was assaulted by bouncer. >> Okay. >> That's his son you have in the cop car. >> Yes. >> Okay. So he stood up for his father. >> Uh-huh. >> I stood back and and gave you the 25 ft. Now I'm about to get upset. >> I had I had I had to ask you multiple times. All right? >> I but I did. I respected your orders. >> Yeah, after multiple times. So technically I could have put you in handcuffs. I gave you the benefit of the doubt. You you eventually listened to me. But I'm not trying to take everybody to jail who's visiting here. >> He should not have gone in What what is what is going on here? >> He didn't do anything. >> Can I explain to you what's happening? >> Go ahead, but you shouldn't have been here. >> Okay, I'm going to explain what's happening. All right? So they have a policy in the bar that people have to wear shoes because there's glass bottles. Some lady takes off her shoes that >> So you're not taking my nephew out of here in the cop car. >> This is ridiculous. >> Listen to me. I'm explaining it to you what happened. Okay? So so your brother this lady that's not wearing shoes has nothing to do with you guys. Your brother doesn't know her. You you your brother says to the bouncer, "What's up? We're just trying to have a good time. And he says, "It's our policy." Your brother grabs him, his shirt rips. Okay, so that's a battery in Florida. That's an unwanted touch. No, I'm telling you, the place to argue this is in court, not with me or not with the officers. So, once he commits that battery, they flag the officers. It is It is in Florida. It is in Florida. So, here's another thing. In Florida, if a bar asks you to leave, their personnel can physically detain you until law enforcement arrives. If that means holding you down or whatever, that's by our our Florida law. I'm just talking loud cuz we're being recorded. So, regardless, they have a policy. Your brother grabs this guy, they flag down the officer. He says, "Hey, this guy just grabbed me." He detains him, doesn't mean he's under arrest, right? Then, your nephew, if it's my understanding, comes up because it's his dad, which I get, all right? And just like I had to give you multiple warnings, they had got to give him multiple warnings. I get it that it's his dad, that's his dad, right? But, but but here's the thing. That's not the That's not the point. I'm being serious. I I have a heart, which is why which is why I didn't arrest you after I had asked you three or four times to step back. Right? You did, but not the 25 ft like I asked. But, we're not out here to arrest you today. Yeah, it's not going to happen. You're a good You You seem like a good guy. But but the reason that that law was put into effect in Florida, okay, is because while a cop is trying to affect an arrest, that we get ambushed from behind, especially when it's involving family members. Yeah, it's because we love our family, right? So, you're trying to place a a guy's wife under arrest or a woman husband under arrest and it's I mean it it's this [ __ ] happens all the time and we get sucker punched or whatever. So so when we give multiple warnings and you don't you don't listen to our orders then you can be placed under arrest. >> I I a thousand miles away at who are cops. I I am with you a hundred percent. What you guys go through on a daily is not what Yeah. Okay, I I I fully agree with that. What happened right here is not >> I mean I I >> Dude, that's my dad. Don't you talk to my brother. >> So look, so as far as your as far as your brother goes, right? There is a battery. It's an unwanted touch. >> All right, you unwanted >> It's it's more than that. Unwanted touch is this. That's a battery. But when when this guy has a hole in his shirt that because your because your brother grabbed him, that's that's an actual battery. >> He got slammed on his head inside the bar. All right, what what I did I I'm being a hundred percent honest. What I did was way worse. I went after the bartender or the the bouncer with a ripped shirt because he slammed him on his head. Okay, do you get what I'm saying? Because there's unlawful battery there. So my brother was like, "Dude, this this this chick just had shoes on." >> What what do you mean unlawful battery? >> Like he picked him up and slammed him on his head. So I was upset about that. I went after the guy. I did, "What are you doing?" Like >> Yeah. Well, I mean one of the things we do and you know cuz you're friends with cops. As we we talk to independent witnesses. Like obviously the other employees of Irish Kevin's aren't going to be considered independent witnesses. Your your family isn't considered independent witnesses. So we talk to third parties that aren't involved, right? Right. And we operate off of probable cause. That you understand that. So from what I'm from what I'm being told and again, the place to argue this isn't on the road. It's in a courtroom. From what I'm being told is that your brother got involved because this chick didn't have her shoes on. He became physically confrontational with the bouncer. They detained him. They're allowed to detain him. They're allowed to put their hands on him if he starts any problem in their bar. That was in response to his battery. I get where your nephew's coming from. It's his dad. But again, we get we get sucker punched all the time. We get we get shot in the back all the time. Not not in not necessarily in the US. Not everywhere. Everywhere, right? So so that's why this law was put into effect last year. It's been around for about a year or not, right? And it's there for a reason because this happens all over and the governor doesn't want that to happen in Florida anymore. So your brother's going to jail for the battery and disorderly conduct. It's misdemeanors. Okay. >> Hi. >> All right. So what >> That's my dude. I live in Wisconsin. So what happened was I took off my shoes to dance. Security guard had me put them back on. And then the fight turned into it. I think what he was trying to holler at me and was trying to defend me in a weird way. I was I didn't care about putting my shoes on. I just you know, I'm a hippie. I want to take my shoes off, right? And then all of a sudden I I knew immediately I said, "If you don't want to get hit, back up." is what I said to my friends. You know I knew it was going to start and then all of a sudden boom. And then the security guards were trying to take him out. Like a bunch of other people started to jump on him. The security guards. >> Security guards. >> Yeah, dude. It was like they came like I mean And then like when they were coming out it was like five people in one like weird mask walking through. It was not the security >> What you all complaining about like the actual >> No. >> What I'm saying about like that is security guard section. It's like >> I don't know. >> It's just like in a in a >> No, he honestly like what he said to me like put your shoes on. I was like, "Yeah, of course." >> That's what I'm saying. Not by the security guards. >> but by uh >> No, cuz like, he was actually was super nice. He was like, "Can you say your name again?" I mean, the whole time. So, he didn't do anything to me at all. I guess I think he was really trying to defend me, and he doesn't even know me, right? I don't even know what he's talking about, to be honest. I'm just cute like that, I guess. J ass blonde. >> I hear you. >> So, I'm sorry. I mean, I didn't know what to offer except I guess I was the girlfriend, I didn't even know. Right? What's the reason it happened? You guys are friends over a girl, right? It's actually kind of a compliment. I said, "Good thing I'm in the solar cap game." It's a phone number. >> The suspects were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
