At this point, the stop has changed completely. What started as officers looking into a hidden run involving the vehicle has now turned into a warrant situation. And here's the thing. Once dispatch confirms that an extraditable warrant is active, the officer isn't negotiating whether the person feels like going to jail, the only question is whether the warrant is valid and the issuing jurisdiction wants them held. >> The store driver. >> Yeah. Yeah. Who was that? >> Um, her name was Lindsy. I don't know her last name. She actually I guess you guys were looking for her. I don't know who she is. I just met her and she was like, "Oh." I said, "Yeah, you can drive to the store." And I just rode with her and then I came out and I was like, "Uh, I don't know." I didn't have any my car. So, you want to go ahead stand back in my car now? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> You got a warrant? >> I don't know. >> You don't know you're Tim Connley or Connor, excuse me? >> Yes, sir. Last of Connor versus Timothy. I should have worn out a kids suspended. Nope. You can just keep your hands right on that steering wheel. You can rest them. You don't have to be all tensed up. Any weapons in the vehicle? No guns, knives, bombs, Russians, nuclear weapons, nothing like that. >> Timothy, white male 1972 >> for failure to appear on >> also showing a no contact order on file. And I'm going to read you no contact for >> X. >> Yes. Do something. Where's the keys at the ignition? >> Right there. Just put them up here for now. I don't want to get no crazy chase. If they want you, then you're going to jail. If If they don't want you, then you better take care of it. >> Where you staying at out here? off. I wasn't after you. I'm after the your vehicle, though. There's a female that was driving it back into the car and ran. That's why she took off after getting the car. So, >> okay, Tim, unlock the door. Come on out. They want you. They want you. You get to go to jail. >> Oh, do I? >> Yep. Unlock the door. >> Unlock the door. >> Not today. Please >> unlock the door, >> please. >> You want me to pull you out of there? >> No, sir. One day, sir. >> I'm telling you. >> Please come upstairs, sir. >> Open the door. Or is it going to be the end of you? >> Sir, >> do you hear me? >> One day. >> Yeah. Come on. >> Open the door. Go ahead and have to step it up. Please. Please, >> you and me are going to have problems. >> Come on, man. Open the door. >> I'm not going to let her open. >> You can get a sight. >> You can get a sight. Get out. >> I can't get out. >> Just open the door. >> Get out. YOU BETTER NOT. >> OH MY GOD. WHAT THE HELL? >> Put your hands out the window. >> Put your hands OUT THE WINDOW. GET YOUR HANDS OUT THE window right now. Okay, then you but you still got to get out. I got to write you then. Shut up. SHUT UP THE CAR and get out. >> Yeah. Get out. You >> better listen to her. >> It's up to you. >> She's not going over there. Heat. Heat. My daughter's on there. Oh my god. My radio was on the car. It's gone unable. Thank you. I got on video, too. Go ahead and stand over there, Ginger. >> You know, he's got You know, he got a warrant. >> I lost my portable, so I mean, the only reason it made him sketchy is cuz when he go for that backpack, I didn't know what he had in that backpack. >> Yeah. Right. >> Does he have a firearm? >> I don't know, dude. >> I don't know. I honestly >> listen whose backpack was in the front seat. >> That's his >> That's his purse, my phone, my dogs. What is this warrant for? >> Um I think it was for a child section. >> Oh my god. So going to have it now. >> So basically he knew he had the warrant. I bet he has a warrant from looking for him. My dogs and everything's in there. See, he's still camping up there. >> Should have just let the damn dogs out. >> He could let the dogs out. >> Don't know where he thinks he's going. >> He ain't got anything. >> I know. >> He contacts you never back or you call 9. He has my phone in my purse. >> He mentioned not today. Why Why can't you go to jail? >> I don't know. So, no. Oh, I didn't even know he had a door. I don't see him going back up to the campsite because everybody knows that he camped up there. I'll be looking for him, right? Got license plate. >> Yeah. >> Reports indicate that 2 hours later, the suspect collided with a parked car not far from the traffic stops location. As a deputy arrives at the collision scene, he spots the man behind a nearby shed AND APPROACHES HIM. >> HANDS. SHOW ME YOUR HANDS. SHOW ME YOUR HANDS RIGHT NOW. My gun shot. Shots fired. Shots fired. CRAWL OUT HERE IN YOUR HAND. CRAWL OUT HERE. 2 hours later, the situation takes an even darker turn. The original traffic stop is over, but the danger isn't. Officers now know exactly who they're looking for. They know the vehicle involved. And after another collision, the search suddenly brings them face tof face with the suspect again. This is the moment every officer dreads when a seemingly routine arrest attempt becomes an encounter where the stakes can change in a split second. >> You good? >> Yeah, I'm good. Okay. >> Holy [ __ ] man. >> You're okay. I'm with you. Get your hands out. Suspect down. Start aid. I don't have a radio. Start aid. Going. Start aid. The gun was in his right hand. I know.
