He refused to stop. >> This incident from June 6, 2023 began just after noon. A Semino County Sheriff's Deputy on routine patrol saw an Orlando police vehicle driving the opposite direction and speeding. The police officer's emergency lights were not on and under Florida laws, officers must drive the speed limit unless responding to an emergency. So the county sheriff's deputy began a pursuit and the chase took a while. Over 100 milesPH trying to catch up with the zoo but He's the guy that uh >> At this point, the Orlando police officer began to flip on his flashers. >> Copy down that bumper. >> Still, he drove a bit further before finally stopping. >> This one or this? >> Yeah. 11 070. In other words, all the things that would have happened to most of us if we tried to flee a traffic stop did not happen. However, the seminal county sheriff's deputy did file a criminal complaint. And Orlando officer Alexander Shouy, age 35, has now been charged with resisting an officer, reckless driving, and fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer. He recently turned himself into the Semino County Jail and was released on a $9,000 bond. The Orlando Police Department says Officer Shuny has been relieved of his duties pending the criminal case and pending a police internal affairs investigation. Hopefully, the department will make the officer's removal permanent. If a police officer is going to speed when driving to work and then ignore the commands of a fellow law enforcement officer, imagine how entitled that officer might feel when dealing with an ordinary citizen. Kudos to the Semino County Sheriff's Department for pursuing officer Shauni and underscoring the importance of equal justice under the law. By the way, in Michigan, a police chief has now been fired after trampling on constitutional rights and getting owned by a group of teenagers. >> So, the original altercation was because you were >> squeaking the tires on the bird yelled at you from up there. >> Yeah. Is that is that a worthy thing to hit someone with a flashlight? >> Cuz he's chief of police. He's above me. He's better than me. >> Check out that video at the link below. I'm David Schuster. Thanks for joining us.
