Elizabeth, step out. >> Yes, sir. >> That's Sergeant Busier. He's going to take you and take care of the breath test. Okay. Yes, sir. >> Once this is done, the quicker we get this done, we get you down there, get it taken care of. You see the judge in the morning, you'll be out in the morning. Okay. >> And you've been cool so far, right? You've been cooperative. >> We found this the paraphernalia, the straw, which was inside a bowl with some white powder inside. We couldn't get a positive test on the cocaine, so it might have been some sort of heroin. >> You didn't ingest anything, did you? >> No, sir. >> Sure. >> I promise you. >> I mean, not because I'm trying to jam you up. I just don't want you die. >> No, sir. >> No, sir. >> Cuz I care about you. You're ready to go. >> Thank you. I'm sorry. >> Hey, happens, right? >> Yeah, it does. >> I cannot let you out. No. >> Can you like move my hair? >> You need to calm down. >> Can you move my hair? I'm fine. >> Can I move your hair? You realize how stupid this is, right? >> Okay. >> What's wrong with your hair? It's in your face. You're mean to me. Meaning, >> I'm not worried about you being mean to me. It's about following instructions. >> I know. I'm trying. I'm just scared. >> It's my mouth. It's in your mouth. >> Thank you. >> Did you eat something? >> No. >> Okay. >> There's nothing. It was just you could drug test. >> I'm not about to drug test. I'm asking cuz I don't want you to die in the back of my car. That's why I'm asking. >> Oh, >> okay. Okay. You will see a judge first thing in the morning. >> So, my kids get to see a fail. >> Your kids what? Who's with your babies right now? >> Their dad. >> Their dad. Is their dad a good dad? >> Okay. >> But I'm a good mom. >> Okay. I never I never said you weren't. You got purses and things. >> I got clothes. God, man. Why do I always get stuck with the annoying ones? >> Better man than me. >> I don't know what you want to do with this. I'll put in evidence. It's obvious there's some sort of pill or something in there. Thank you uh for cooperating. I know it's a situation. It sucks. We don't want to be there. >> I understand. >> Okay. But obviously we got two different colors going on here. We got you who's calm, cool, collect. I made a mistake. And then we got the other one who doesn't want to accept her issues. Okay. Um >> Hey, I accept my issues. >> I got you. >> Thank you. >> Do you have any cigarettes? >> Yeah. Let me get one. >> I got sigs. >> Not for me. It's for uh maybe I can get her to calm down a little bit. >> Why? >> Dela, chill. Come here. >> Come where >> you want a cigarette or not? >> Come here. >> Yeah, let me do that. >> Well, you you got yourself all the way on there. >> Why do you want me to? >> You got yourself all the way over there, didn't you? >> All right, I'll come to that side. That's fine. Whatever. >> Oh, well, now you're going to shut the door like an [ __ ] Okay, now you're going that way. You want a cigarette or not? >> Okay, then. Come on. Let's get out. My hair. I >> mean, I don't know what you want me to do with your hair. >> Just move it. >> Um, listen. >> Thank you. I'm sorry. Thank you. >> For what? >> I have to do. >> Yeah. >> Oh, wow. >> I already explained it to you. >> What did I do? >> All right, I'll explain it again. Destruction of evidence in the state of Florida is a felony one. And then >> destruction of evidence. >> And at the same time, >> what did I at the same time? Obstruction. How many times did I ask you to stop trying to get out of the car? How many? Three times. Finally on the third time when the bottles came clanging out the car and you could see you tossing from the car. >> Yeah. That's whenever I came over and pulled you out of the car and put you in cuffs. >> And then when I'm asking you to get out of the car and trying to put you then I'm trying to put you in cuffs. You're trying to pull away from me. >> That's kind of where we're at. You're out of the car right now. Your handcuffs are in the front. You have a cigarette. If you cause me any issue on the way to the Key West jail, the cuffs are going back behind both y'all's backs. You're probably going to get hobbled, which means I'm going to tie your legs together so you can't move at all and stick you in the seat. >> Please don't do this to me. >> Dela, we're past that point. >> I didn't do anything. >> Okay, I've already explained it to you like four. I've already explained it to you. >> Overreacted. >> How does overreacting? What? Overreacting. It wasn't even dealing with you. I was dealing with your driver who >> and you're not listening to me. Now you're making me question my safety because I'm trying to talk to your driveway and I'm having to focus on you while she's here talking to me. >> How hard is it to stay in the car to not move? How hard is that to do? >> Hard is it to be schizophrenic by >> ma'am? You are a passenger in a car from the moment the moment I stop you. You're running your mouth. You're running your mouth. You're running your mouth. I'm trying to talk to Elizabeth. I'm not worried about you. I'm worried about why your driver is drunk and driving the way she is. Okay. You see what I'm saying? >> I am so good. I have two babies. This is It's stupid. It's stupid. This is dumb. >> So sad. >> Go and have a seat for me. I'm going to leave the cuffs in the front instead of putting them back behind your back. Okay. >> Unfortunately, officers had a very long night with these two. Elizabeth, the driver, refused to submit a lawful breath test. On the way to the jail, Elizabeth and Dela reportedly began engaging in romantic acts. The officer was forced to pull over and handcuff the suspects behind their backs. Elizabeth complied, but Dela pulled away several times, refusing commands again when trying to secure Dela in the patrol vehicle. She pulled away and fell to her knees. Dela refuses all verbal commands to stand up until a pressure point had to be used to gain compliance. Still, Dela would not sit in the patrol car and began screaming and kicking several times. This was not captured on body camera because the officer had been dealing with the pair for so long at this point that his body camera battery was depleted. Just before arriving to the jail, Dela started causing more problems by headbutting the car. The officer stopped again where Dela had to be hobbled by officers for everyone's safety. Upon finally arriving at the jail, Elizabeth was cooperative, but Dela continued her behavior, kicking a deputy in the leg. Because of Dela's continued uncooperative behavior, she was charged with resisting with violence and battery on law enforcement in addition to the destruction of evidence and obstruction. Elizabeth was charged with DUI. They are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
