On April 20th, 2023 in Tamarak, Florida, deputies were dispatched to a region's bank after the branch manager reported suspicions of possible fraud on a customer's account. The suspect, later identified as Stefan Boleg, had allegedly deposited four fraudulent checks. Before Bole realized the manager had caught on, deputies arrived on the scene just in time. Sir, how you doing? Turn off the phone, please. Turn around. They have one detained on 53. That's his ID. Check video. Um, I'm going to have detectives come out here. I'm going to go ahead and start doing process. I'll print them out. All right. And then [Music] 651. If you have other units responding out, you can cancel. I have in my call. Let me know. Arrested like we know you're going to jail. G10 is like we're trying to investigate what's going on. So, you might as well. All right. What's the first thing? S O N with your P. S T E H N to N. That's what's your Do you have a middle name, man? J. Just J. Just J. Bravo 11. What's your number? Uh 08 31st 2004 number. What do you do to What do you do to work? Yeah, I used to work at Target. What do you want? What's going on? Sir, I I just opened up and I came today. Um, my car was stolen and I was talking to the lady and she was going over the transaction and then she just came and answer your phone. So, are you in route over here to the 53? We're in route. Okay. All right. So, you guys What's up? Um, so where we got his ID? Um, obviously talking to the people inside the bank to try to help you out, get whatever footage they need and make it easier for you. Okay. Uh, I'm not sure, but I did hear that last minute when I was going 25. All right, 147. Yeah. All right, got it. 14. Pick up his phone. No problem. Did you have the information on the victim? Uh, yeah, I can get you that. Okay, we need that. We talked to them and they're the ones that told that confirmed that it was fraud. Mhm. I Yeah, you could bring it. I mean, I'm going to print a bunch of other stuff. Trying to see if any car pull out. They usually arrive. Somebody Yeah, I know. Somebody brought them. I don't know who brought them. That's the thing. So, cuz they usually park over there. So, my question is the previous case that you guys talked about, do you have that case number? Because you said he previously tried to do this at a different him. That's what went on the radio. He tried to open an account with him, but we were busy. We didn't do it. We didn't do it. So, he did it online. Yeah. And he told me that he did all of these things, but it's all fraud that you know that fraud ring that's going on right now, the casinos and stuff that he did all of these. So, I asked him, "Well, what did you do at the casino? Why'd you send all this money out?" He's like, "Oh, you know what you do at the casino?" So, I had him verify, "You did this, you did this, you did this, you did this." And he's like, "Yeah, I did everything." So then I asked them, "Where'd you get these checks from?" Because it happens to be an our account holder. So I can pull it and I can research it better. Right. So then I called the account holder and they're like, "No, we those are not our checks. They're not. They don't look like they're checks. The signatures don't match." He's like, "It's fraud. I want to press charges." So then we called you guys, right? Okay. So that's why I was asking cuz when it came over the radio, it said that he previously tried to do this. Uhhuh. So is there a case or anything already? No. Already for him? No. Not Not that I'm No, this is all brand new. There's no history or nothing along those lines. Correct. Okay. And then you said you are going to give me the information for the original victim. Well, the only only one victim, correct? Correct. Just one. Okay. I just printed it for you. All right. And then we'll have that. So, we'll be able to I'll be able to pass that over. I think gentle he's in Miami, so he's going to go to another in Miami to get that account cut off. Yeah. Cut off. Yeah. And then I just want to write his name on that paper. Okay. You taught us what's hard, right? Yeah. You giving the heads up on Abi called Maldonado. She's on her way. She will not send the There's only one case. There's no two cases. There's the only one case. And then they want to prosecute. So Abby got the information. They're grabbing it and then comes out here and whatever 53. But okay, we'll have a mic for now. Yeah. Um I guess Tena can go tonight because there's no reason to have three of us on here. So I mean, but I know you're holding him. I'll have two. You I'll put them in my car. I I got to have one person watch here. I'm in my car. Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean um point for a bunch of us to be here. Yeah. And then we got that whatever. Um, the school anonymous complaint Stefan Boleg allegedly deposited four fraudulent checks each for $2,900 totaling nearly $12,000.
