wrong person such as the FBI watch as we go through this thrilling case where a cop arrested an FBI official only to regret it later with over 20 years of experience at his job FBI special agent Alexis Hatton was looking into an alleged corruption case where he decided to call a Franklin County Sheriff's deputy Rolph Gordon to meet him outside the office however the young Deputy did not comply with the sheriff and started questioning his authenticity okay that's awesome okay that'll work you run your body cam I I am now because I don't know how legit you are at the moment it's okay deputy sheriff's personal cell phone you can't tell me how you got the number that's right your Tag's not coming back to the FBI correct okay I haven't seen aad badge I've seen an ID card I haven't seen a badge you have not seen no sir I haven't seen a badge I've seen an ID card I handed this to you did you grab it take it out of my hand do you not see a badge I see a badge now that's the first time I saw the badge sir you don't need to be a [Applause] deputy I saw this he kept opening this yeah that's called my badge my that's very professional you just say that statement but anyway uh that I I was very observant to be a deputy because you never showed me that you showed me the inside of it uh but not the badge the agent was getting angry about receiving such treatment so he called his supervisor who came over and escalated the situation by arresting him yeah somebody's talking back to him on the radio but turn around [Applause] okay all right just being [Applause] detained put double lock them mhm what's the charges brother you don't have any yet but right now we running you through multiple Federal databases okay nobody's coming up with your name you also coming back on a teror watch list so we going to secure you for our protection and yours we're going to put you in the back of a police car where where's that weapon at sir it's it's on my right side special agent Hatton did not resist and just obliged to the arrest he was made to sit in the back of the police cruiser in scorching heat that's when he started to get angry at the cops as he believed that they I need air god almighty after detaining him the officers were now trying to check the status of Special Agent Hatton and it was just a few minutes later when they realized their mistake this gentl out here he is legit 1045 I'm handcuffing now um Captain just called who verified Captain I don't know 33 to5 could you advise me who verified that this person was legit what's he doing what's he he called me here sheriff and says he called my personal cell phone and he goes number I don't know he he refuses to tell me okay uh he said I I'm I need to discuss some things uh that's happening in the care his name is Lawrence ly and he's down in this area on an assignment okay Lawrence ly he's out of Tallahasse FBI who he who he talk mob radio he's the supervisor of of the Gent that yall out with oh that's the but I can't talk to you right now to you I'm on the phone with with his supervisor he told me I need to discuss some things with you about the care area you working over here today you did ADV he told me to meet him here I came up he said can do you mind me sitting in my car with me real quick he showed me he flipped open his W showed credentials it didn't show B he didn't show a badge but sure FBI however it was surprising to see the cops had no guilt for arresting a legitimate agent as they went on with their stuff when they released him from the car Hatton was begging for now however finally EMS arrived and poor Hatton was escorted to the hospital where he received medical treatment oh L breathing says he can't see you yeah and the nominees for best actor he did you see him he pulled me into his car he asked me to come into his car well I was sitting over there he him say that but and uh I do remember you going around so I go in there he goes I need to discuss this ticket that you wrote so you wrote a ticket to a CI I guess is that what happened [Applause] make sure I got his I don't know what to [Applause] talk he was soon discharged from the hospital and after this sad incident the FBI agents and the sheriff had a discussion about this and later claimed that it was all just a little misunderstanding that's the end of the video the sheriff's deputy was definitely in the wrong and got off easily without any trouble we hope that cops learn to respect FBI agents and such situations are avoided in the future
