law enforcement is a responsibility that only those who are officially and legally authorized can perform to their fullest capabilities many of us have thought of being a cop when we were kids but we knew better than to impersonate one but it seems like for these two idiots that part of their childhood hasn't ended first we have an ex-officer John Switzer who was faded to get on the cop's bad side on May 3rd 2021 there's a big difference in past and present John Switzer impersonating as a police officer the pelis county sheriff office had received multiple calls about a disturbance in a trailer park so around 12:00 a.m. police officers arrived at the scene only to be met with confusion come my wife what he come he Lo with my wife who who is this guy come here come here that's hold my hand right now that's so H ow yeah they're not comfortable hold on let me get wow John had cuffed his Vietnamese neighbor for noise disturbance that's bizarre as any Humane officer would do this cop first uncuffed the woman until the true perpetrator was found but hearing what the Vietnamese had to say the situation became much more complex he say he the bullet he my house he say he the bullet he the officer he come my house he L with my wife he just walked in your house he walked in my house he lock with my wife Lo but John had a completely different story to tell they started Uprising with their music being very loud being very boisterous I told them I said please turn it down uh the guy right there in the jeans who was put talking to the other officer he uh he hit me and and she that hit you par me who at the the gentleman right there in front of the other light one that's lighting the cigarette um okay he hit me and and and she was being very belligerent and I wanted to keep her away I put her in cups I'm a former officer up in New York and I'm just upset with her so you put handcuffs on somebody yes I did because you were upset with her well no because I'm tired of the [ __ ] plus he hit me I know it's probably wrong what did she have anything to do with this she was getting in my face I know I it was probably wrong for me to do it but their belligerent they're drunk on their ass with that well he just gave me a big slap I mean I mean a real hard yeah open hand on on my shoulder which hit hit me up in the jaw John tried to get the officers on his side by impersonating a police officer but he didn't know it isn't that easy to fool real on duty cops especially when you identify yourself as an ex-officer and still go on to blatantly break the law the officer decided to have a little chat with John and that's when his story started to become fabricated come and interview everybody prior to us it uh it just drives me nuts I mean what the music oh yeah I mean why didn't you just call us and we can come tell them turn down it's that simple you guys come they turn it down you leave they turn it back up he's always been wanting to fight me who the Asian is sitting down smoking a cigarette okay okay he's always wanting to just like he comes over you know and ask for advice so how many years you been been on almost seven years really yeah the uh I SP 25 in New York what part of New York uh actually inside the city uh was part of the 2u which is Central Park area and uh and after 9111 I had to go from 1976 to and then moved to Florida sunny Florida tired of the cold no it wasn't that it's just that I needed to get away because my brain was I worked like 80 hours at the Trade Center gotcha I had a a friend of mine that uh that his mom died two weeks prior and he had a tattoo on his hand he says I love you and when we were crawling in there and everything that's all we found we going from here down sorry to hear that very second John's story was an obvious cover up to avoid any consequences and since the neighbors struggled to communicate in English the officers had to call and wait for a Vietnamese Deputy to arrive and get their side of the story okay seeing the reaction of the Neighbors at the beginning the woman's story seemed credible and as she unraveled more about what actually happened things started to look bad for John no I didn't okay so he had the gun did he point the gun put your hand out come for but then the woman claims something that drove the last nail into the coffin of John's fake story yes oh right now okay so he said that he is an officer and show her an ID apparently yes okay so he identified himself as law enforcement and show an ID showed her an ID mhm and then hand like and and just just to clarify he did say I am yes not I was no I am officer okay it was over for John the officers read him his rights and still gave him another chance to come clean they had given him a sign hinting that they knew what happened and the best course of action was to just spit out the truth but maybe John was drunk instead of his neighbors because he still stuck to his lies even in the face of imminent arrest okay was there some sort of threat was she striking you was she she was not talking loudly talking very they're all drunk okay so she she was just talking and what made you very loud if he was the one that was causing violence to you threatening you whatever you perceived the situation to be yes Ma'am why did you handcuff her she was being very belligerent and I fig she was the biggest threat I had okay so you said you had your cell phone in your hand yes ma'am did you ever think about dialing 911 to allow us the opportunity to deal with this instead I was on I was on the phone with a dispatch at the time to get you know at the time that you placed her in handcuffs no before okay so that's what I'm asking you is if you had your cell phone in your hand and that's what you were holding why not just call 911 instead of putting her in handcuffs because she was being boisterous my bad I I agree I I could have I could have used the situation better okay all right go ahead and stand up for me I'm going I'm going for a ride yes sir can I lock my door I'll let a minute stand up are you prior law not with New York New York State the state of New York the city I a city C NYPD NYPD okay and what year did you retire from there 2001 do you have like a retired police officer ID or anything uh yes I do it's in my wallet which in the house okay but that wasn't shown to them at any point no ma okay and the badge that you have on the holster right by the door that says Florida investigator Sergeant where did that come I was a private investigator a long time a private investigator okay but not law enforcement no okay John was charged with two felonies but this next case is something out of the blue if you're already caught impersonating a cop in broad daylight you know it's over for you but it didn't stop our next impersonator from being a smarty pants crying won't save you Melissa impersonating police and drunk while driving on April 17th 2023 police officers received a report of a woman named Melissa impersonating a police officer an officer was dispatched and first met with the victim of the impersonation who identified the fake cop going away in a vehicle what do they what did she do what did she do she's impersonating a cop what did she say she laid Clos in front of the crosswalk where I was crossing okay what did she say tell me she tells me that she's a cop that she's investigating or something all right raise your right hand yeah do you swear in her FR right hand right hand you SAR to FR right there you just told me his little truth yeah all [Music] right hi the officer tracked Melissa to a house and confronted her at first she seemed to be sweet and Cooperative but her true nature quickly became evident Sheriff's Office how are you good so I'm having somebody tell me that yeah he yeah he was like harassing me so I don't know what so what did you tell him call you call him I no no what did you tell him I didn't say anything to him he was harassing me well how was he harassing you he was like oh you're just doing disrespectful like no no okay what do you mean he was harassing you again all you said is all all he said is I'm doing SL disrespectful what did he say I don't know that's what the whole thing so how is he harassing you I don't know that's why I like but hold on hold on real quick you told me that he's harassing you yeah but then when I ask you how he's harassing you you don't know I don't know because why why is he calling the cop Melissa's lie about harassment fell apart immediately when she couldn't describe how the victim had allegedly harassed her she couldn't even confirm if he had harassed her at all or if she was just being overly suspicious this made the victim's claim of impersonation true but then she went on to lie about the most obvious thing and got caught red-handed in an instance so you've been staying in the same area driving around because I do you mind if I get your ID yeah absolutely ABS [ __ ] do you stay here at this I live here okay did you recently move no i l no no no I'm asking you no this the reason I'm asking no I live there that's why I owe my okay so did you just pull over here because I pulled you over or no because you were sitting there around because that guy he was there sitting harassing me okay but no I'm just asking cuz you're in the I got you no no I got you I got I'm I'm not trying to with him right now he was down the road hey real quick real quick hold on take a second listen the reason why is cuz you're in front of somebody's house I didn't know when I asked you you said you liveed here okay this is okay I know who this house is okay that's what I'm asking I'm asking why you pulled up in here and you said you lived here and the address on here is different like how genius do you have to be to remember your own address that's on your license but because she claimed she knew the real owner of the house the officer went back to the first question and Melissa still had no good explanation so how again how was he harassing you cuz I was driving cuz I was trying to and he was like who are you have you ever have you ever seen him before or anything yeah I've been here they PL this time in the meantime Melissa had called the owner of the house thinking he would save her skin but it didn't go as she thought it would I'm doing an investigation right now and she just randomly pulled in here and it's on on on her ID so we're just trying to confirm I was trying to see why why she was over here um along with the further investigation that I'm doing I guess she just wanted to prove that she knew somebody that lived here but uh she I mean she should stoping di I mean she was just checking I me to see if I was home but she actually live there okay yeah if I need to talk to you about that we could talk about it in a second um but just give me a second give me one second thank you bye Melissa's Behavior raises only one question is she even sober right now question for you do you have anything to drink today nope okay I can smell the odor of alcohol coming from your breath okay so I can go to his house so he you're right now you're detained no cuz I no hold on I'm telling you right now I don't I have no keys on me okay you are detained I saw you driving the vehicle you're detained if you try to go in the house I'll put you under arrest how you are currently being detained I'm giving you a lawful order to stay here while I have somebody do fi Sor exercises with you okay if you want to leave and go and try to go inside the house at that point you'd be impeding my investigation going against a lawful order therefore it's resisting you go to jail the officer showing commendable patients tried to deal with Melissa's increasingly aggressive behavior but she crossed every limit instead of complying with the officer she might be thinking of herself as being entitled to be immune from the jurisdiction of the law but she was gravely mistaken you're not ma'am stay here can you not talk to me no you're staying right here if you want to try to go inside I will put you in handcuffs right now and take you to jail how are you going to put me in hand Co cuz I'm giving you a lawful order to stay right here until we conduct field even if he allows you in the house you're not going in the house right now you're being detained why one because I can smell as I saw you driving and doing an investigation I can smell you did not have on me you don't need keys the keys you need to be in physical control of the vehicle I have in physical control of me list I'm not going to argue with you if you want to try to walk away I'll take you to jail okay call [ __ ] with then I'll call whoever you want me to 18 months do you still refuse to submit to this breath test everybody and I call for Gabriel are you going to provide me a breath sample yes or no I asked for everyone to come over and you have not skip this nonsense now you might think being behind bars would bring this woman to her senses but Melissa was a rare case it hadn't even been 10 minutes since she was brought to the police station and with her demeanor she's proclaimed herself as the biggest drama queen listen remember everything that we do is record it on the camera and comes up in court the why they touch me all right so you want my advice I want to go home tomorrow I understand but where you're at you got some stuff you got to do before you go home do you want my advice yes ma' okay you you got to pull it together you got to calm down and not make things any worse than they already are [Music] my I I understand that but where you're at due to uncooperative and aggressive behavior Melissa was being restrained to the hobble but Melissa cared less about the consequences and more about who was touching her hospital that sucks yeah I want to go I'll make sure the jail knows they put you in the ward with the crazy people watch okay that's cool sit down stop being rude and disrespectful CU I'm not doing anything to you're being R of my stop being rude to me because you're being rude to me I'm not doing anything sit down stop being real I can know how to sit down being with sit down I know how to sit down [ __ ] you but Melissa wasn't just done yet saving my life saving my life I'm you're suffocating me you're safety you're cuffing me you're suffocating me like I look like a kid in the car in the end Melissa was charged not only with impersonating a police officer but resisting an officer without violence in DUI for all this she was sentenced to 12 months of probation the chaos might be over for now but Melissa's story is a testament to how pretending to be a cop can unravel in dramatic ways these were the two instances that show that some people may look like grown-ups but behave like children despite knowing the consequences of impersonating a police officer these Geniuses preferred to take the
