just a year ago Jonathan major was one of Hollywood's most promising Stars he was the antagonist in Creed 3 and the hero of HBO's Lovecraft country but then boom he moved from being the internet's boyfriend to a subject of serious allegations on March 25 he was arrested over charges of assaulting his ex-girlfriend the details are heartbreaking he pulled her finger hit her Twisted her arm and career can he reclaim his fans trust stick around to find out the first account is from his ex trouble started when Jonathan majors and Grace Jabari were driving home from a Brooklyn party suddenly she saw a suspicious text on his phone it read wish I was kissing you right now she was curious so she grabbed the phone from him to take a closer look the actor got angry and twisted her right arm he then hit her on her head Majors retrieved the phone and left the car jabber followed him but he angrily grabbed her and threw her back inside the car the drama left her with a fractured finger it also left bruises around her her right ear and a bump on her head court filings showed a surveillance video that partly covers the incident the clip shows Jabari on a sidewalk she looked sad and was crying she even sought help from strangers to get a cat all at some point in the video Majors walked past her but didn't stop even though Javari asked him to wasn't that too extreme Majors is charged with misdemeanor assault attempted assault aggravated assault and harassment earlier the judge granted a Full temporary order of protection against Majors even so prosecutors have more evidence against him they revealed that they have a report from the London Metropolitan Police detailing a previous case of unreported abuse the details of this case have not been made public yet Jonathan major has responded to the abuse allegations against him by the way he is represented by prior chod Chri has big clients like pale haggus and Jens Shaw Majors feel safe with her well his lawyer turned the table against Jabari she claimed that Major's ex-girlfriend was physically aggressive and mentally unstable in a statement released after Jonathan Major's arrest she said that Jabari was suffering an behind her ear and a broken finger chod represented a series of unverified text messages supporting her version of events one of them read they said they had to arrest you as protocol when they saw the injuries on me and they knew we had a fight another one read I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your fault I only just got out of hospital just call me when you're out I love you chadre gathered several texts as proof she is expected to present them to the jury chadri also claims to have bodyc come footage where a police officer told Jabari to say that Mr Majors grabbed her by the throat the defense lawyer insists that the police are sympathetic to a white woman over a tall strong and famous black man and that's not all Major's lawyer accused Jabari of faking her injuries she pointed to surveillance footage of the former girlfriend clubbing after Major's left her minutes into the video Jabari uses her right hand to put her hair in a bun she also holds her cell phone in the same hand the defense says this is proof that she was not injured chadre ended with one last piece of evidence against Jabari she noted that Majors had a scratch on his chin and arm on the night of the incident apparently Jabari slapped him and tore his coat what if it turns out to be true is this enough to clear Jonathan's name we'll find out in a few days Jabari isn't the only one accusing Jonathan Majors we hear that he has a history of physical and emotional abuse with several former partners Rolling Stone exposed this secret weeks ago the magazine claims that the Creed Three actors strangled an ex-girlfriend and emotionally abused her these are mere rumors for now it is not a firsthand account of the woman herself although a fantastic actor he terrorized the people that he dated two sources told Rolling Stone that Majors strangled any woman who dared try to leave him a second woman described a relationship with Jonathan major as emotional torture nine other people had a thing to say about his abusive Tendencies other sources say he was not physically abusive but had moments of near violence the actor would get angry and talk about needing something to punch better still he more trouble the Court is set to hear the misdemeanor assault and harassment charges against Jonathan Majors after months of back and forth six jurors have been selected the team comprises three men and women two alternates have also been selected the trial will start on December 4 and will last for 2 weeks jury selection started on November 29 up till November 30 judge Michael gaffy introduced 39 potential jurors to the parties involved Majors was at the scene dressed in a dark gray double breasted suit he entered the courtroom holding his girlfriend's hand he was carrying a Bible too he stood and bowed his head towards the prospective jurors as the judge introduced him one of the jurors recognized him for his roles in the Atman films she recognized him as a major actor in the Disney plus TV show Loki several other potential jurors said they heard about the allegations and had already made up their minds luckily some women saw a video of Jabari dancing 2 hours after the assault claims against Majors they told the judge that they could not take the images out of their minds this group feared that they could give a verdict based on the evidence another juror said she knew nothing about the case however she was a victim of domestic violence and did not think she could be fair Majors listened as each juror spoke about what they had seen read or heard luckily the judge in the criminal trial has agreed to conceal some issues from the public eye earlier Major's lawyer argued that revealing too much to the public would affect her client case Jonathan major has pleaded not guilty to all charges if convicted he could serve up to one year in prison as expected the accusation has had a negative impact on his career Majors Rose to the linelight after starring in the 2019
