That's what he was using. >> Okay, >> you're good. You can go back to 12 post. Thank you. >> Yep. >> He specifically said signal 13, but she is like, >> what did he say? Signal 13. She's worthless. >> Anyway, >> what did you say? You want me to do that for signal 13? >> What's his info? >> Tyler Edwards. >> Okay, we're running the name of David. >> Sit him up. Don't let him bend over like that cuz it's going to compress his breathing. Who's that car registered to? >> Um, she didn't say who cuz she's worthless. Hold on. Let Let me just do it myself. I don't know how how hard it is for [music] people. I really don't. Or for this [ __ ] dispatcher to understand what I'm saying. >> Yeah. Didn't I think Danish left early? Of >> course. >> This isn't his car. He's like, "It's my car." >> No, it's not. >> Burglary. Burglary. Rogan. Vagabond. Burglary. Assault. Assault. Burglary. Rogen Vagabond. >> So, here's the deal. I'm Lieutenant Smith. We're being ODM video recorded. You have the right to remain silent. If you give up that right, anything you say a right can or will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to consult with an attorney prior to answering any questions to have an attorney present while you're questioned. If you can't afford an attorney, one will be appointed to represent you for free. Do you understand that >> you're under arrest for Rogan Vagabond, attempt lararseny, attempt auto theft, possession of burglar's tools, assault on a police officer, and resisting arrest. Do you have any questions about the charges against you? He's walking on the cop. >> So, you're breaking into that vehicle with a crowbar and you assaulted me and resisted arrest when I tried to take you into custody. It is not your vehicle. >> We're going to find the registered owner of the vehicle and you are going to jail after you were seen by a doctor. >> That's the call you guys got. But she said she called she today. We got a call for this here for him doing the burglary, which is what we interrupted. >> Might have been the same guy that got us. >> She said she called. >> What did What did he What did he get into? >> Well, he got in in that alley right there. It's a side door. He busted glass out of that. >> Um, >> so we earlier for the uh >> Well, hold on. That's uh one moment. >> Do me a favor, sir. Come over here for a minute. Are you are they perhaps missing a broom handle? >> Came out of the maintenance. >> Well, take a picture of this. Send it to that person and ask him if this is something that's missing. >> I'm the maintenance guy. >> Okay. Is this missing from your shed? >> Yeah. Then I'll >> Okay. So, this is So, this is what he took. >> Um, well, if I show you if you walk over, >> I'm going to have So, I have to stay here. I'm going to have that officer take you over, Smith. All right. But just to be clear, this looks like something that was taken from your maintenance shop. All right. So, more than likely this guy broke in there also cuz that pole right there is from their maintenance shed. Get all this gentleman's information including his address and good contact number. Okay. Take photographs. Call Prime Lab there and investigate that burglary cuz it's probably going to be in reference to this. See if there's any video surveillance. >> So, you're on. >> What's up? >> You're on. All right. So, I went up here in reference to a call for burglary in progress. interrupted this guy breaking into that car over there with an iron rod. Apparently, he also did a burglary over here because we got approached by the victim who came up to us. Went ahead and ordered him to drop the rod and unfortunately other officers are circling the area but can't find me and the dispatcher is worthless. So, he decides that we're going to have a standup fight and it ended up going into this roadway here where I was able to hit him in the back with the taser. Okay. No. So, this is something taken from the burglary over there. What he had was this metal bar. He was ripping out the windshield of the car. Pointed the taser at the ground, ordered him to drop it. He did. The backup units are literally circling. One point. I'm trying to call out to them. They don't hear me. They don't see me. Dispatcher is not responding to my radio. We end up having an altercation here. fighting on the car probably for a good 2 or 3 minutes before I can get a signal 13 out. >> Like hand to hand. >> Oh yeah. >> I mean you throw a fist. >> Uh he's trying to hit me in the face with his forearm. He's trying to remove the weapons from my belt. We're straight up fighting. >> All right. So you have strikes over here and then you have a taser to force it on. >> Yes. So I ended up once we moved into the street, I ended up having enough room that I was able to hit him with a taser. >> The alarm went off. >> Yes. >> This door was pried open. When he got here, he found this car full of stuff around the side of the building. >> Mhm. >> And these tables were rearranged in a way to access the HVAC system. But then the security guard who has a very strong language barrier said that he saw a guy run past him through the building. >> All right. Is the guard here? >> Yeah, he's he's inside. He will take me around to wait. >> All right. Have the guard do a show up and look at this guy. Okay. >> Okay. >> Bring the guard down before he leaves. Have him do a show up ID. >> Okay. >> All right. Where do you Where do you recognize the man from? >> Um I thought it was a maintenance agent. >> So during vacation people was working there. >> Mhm. I will continue to work and and students coming and >> get out sometime when I I ask myself who working there now tonight. >> Yes. >> Without >> um someone here, I try to I I saw someone >> or any indication that the >> running inside the the building and try to get out from the the the back door. Mhm. >> I said maybe it is the maintenance serant >> that after I heard again someone was betting inside the the room. I go to see want to see but nobody I say ah it's very strange but there is a noise inside but nobody appears. So I go back to my place walking after work make my report but after I saw someone maybe 30 minutes later I saw someone try to go out from the main door main entrance >> when he when he saw me he he go back. >> Mhm. >> Go back. He stay a few time and one student going after the group of I saw him going out. I said I called him. I said, "Hey, please sir." He said, "No, he was was managing the trash." >> He was going through the things inside the garage. >> He maybe when he saw that people were getting out before they before they allow they left, right? You went out between some some students. But I called him. I said, "Hey, please come here." >> What did he do when you called out to him? You here. Come back. You're running. >> Dry clean my shirt. You passed right by me. I was yelling to you. [laughter] >> And No, I don't think >> I mean, you're the only one, I think, with a black SUV. >> Right, man. Come on. >> Well, who? Well, who else? Someone came right down this street and could have sworn it was you. >> It wasn't me cuz I I ran over. >> No, it was definitely BPD. It was one of our raggedy cars. >> No, it wasn't me. They stop on. >> Yes. All right. >> No, that that was bad cuz cuz he did say he was coming this way. >> Well, whoever it was, I was like, you got to be kidding, right? [laughter] >> Help me. >> Oh, no. >> The thing is is that dispatch was just you'd see her in her head. I was like, >> whatever. All right. LG, will the department reimburse you for your dry cleaning? >> No, they won't. But I have a new shirt in my car. This is ridiculous. But it's also it's the policies we have cuz So it's it like it transitions between active resistance, active aggression, and aggravated aggression. This was a point he's trying to remove my weapons from my belt. I could I could feel it and see it. He's like moving along the belt trying to figure out how to unlock them. Well, he tried to get my taser at one point. But >> my thing is like, you know, in the old days, active aggress. I'm sorry, active resistance. No matter what, you could just hit them. >> Yeah. Not anymore. So now I have to try and do wrist locks and all this other stuff. And he's too close to spray him. This dispatcher is trash. Absolute trash.
