He walked into Miami's airport with 10 live birds hidden in his underwear. And CBP says they caught him when they noticed a suspicious bulge. Alberto Hernandez Castillo had just arrived at Miami International Airport from Havana when he was pulled aside for secondary inspection. CBP officers noticed something strange around his waist and pelvis. He was reportedly nervous, so they did a pat down. Authorities say they discovered six clear plastic tubes taped up and hidden inside of black pockets sewn into his underwear. And inside those tubes, live birds. Not one, not two, 10. Authorities say eight were yellowfaced grass quits and two were blue crows beaks. And when officers recovered the birds, Ednanes Castillo allegedly told them they were for his quote personal use. Federal authorities say he had not filed the paperwork required to legally bring the wildlife into the United States. Now he faces a federal case tied to the alleged illegal importation of wildlife.
