I've responded to my fair share of bars
in my career for only one strip club
disturbance over stolen money and a
fight almost broke out while we were
there now the crazy thing to me was
while all this is going on and I'm
dealing with the issue the DJ never
stopped playing the music now the money
actually ended up being misplaced but as
I'm walking out it seemed as if no one
was affected and it was just business as
usual for the patrons and for the
employees very strange environment so
with today's case at a Bay County
Sheriff's Department we have an officer
who responds to a strip club due to two
women who were removed because they were
allegedly fighting and giving security a
problem is side and then the officer
finds out that they leave a person's
side but that eventually gets returned
to them by by this time the officer had
to cuff and detain them because they're
not listening as usual especially one of
the women but backup then arrives and it
seems like things will calm down at this
point right no instead of walking away
and leaving one of the women pulls out
her phone and begins to record and she
actually pushes the officer with her
elbow when she could have just left now
once the officer made the decision to
arrest a foot pursuit began with one of
the women which included a wardrobe
malfunction after she was apprehended
and this officer was extremely patient
and did everything possible to avoid
arresting this woman however he had no
choice but after apprehending the he
realized he lost his phone and
unfortunately found it in the street ran
over by a vehicle and this is the stuff
that happens to officers on patrol and
the sheriff's deputy did mention
restitution now this is the restoration
of something lost stolen or damaged and
being that the deputy lost his phone and
it was damaged during the course of his
duties he can fill out the appropriate
paperwork and forward it to risk
management and when this case is tried
the judge or the city may choose or not
to choose to have the officer reimburse
these situations are handled on a caseby
Case basis so my hope is that the deputy
can get his phone money reimbursed cuz
sometimes we as police have to pay out
of pocket especially when the officer is
not injured Sasha was charged with
disorderly intoxication resisting with
violence and trespassing indicating she
was lucky enough to have the battery on
a law enforcement officer charge reduced
to resisting we wish the arresting
officer luck in getting a new phone she
is innocent unless proven guilty in a
court of law
