A guy started uh like stroking his girl outside and then they went back like inside upstairs. My coworker went to the floor and he heard her like slam her. So, it would be a domestic going on right now. >> Is anyone injured? >> The girl? Yes. She's a blonde girl. >> After receiving a call about a man potentially abusing a woman outside an apartment complex, police head to the room where witnesses reported they could hear the abuse escalate. >> We're lie to the police. >> Police, how we doing? >> Hey, how are you? >> What's going on today? >> Good. >> Where's the sound? We're good. All right. Can I see? >> Well, we need to talk to her. >> Talk to your wife. >> Yep. Amy, you can go outside. Amy. >> Hey. >> Hey. How are you? >> Amy Sunday. >> Oh, yes. You're not in trouble. >> We're here for your safety. >> After calming Amy down, police began questioning her to try and get a sense of her perspective. Although this would be challenging since it's common for victims of domestic abuse to downplay their experiences. >> Not that big of a deal. >> It's It's the way you came over, man. That's a big of a deal. So, we're here to help you. >> Who called and neighbor? >> Somebody called. Obviously, you see your response. So, something was obviously happening. Okay. He opened the door in a really aggressive manner. So, something did happen. Um, I'm just hoping you would tell us what happened cuz you guys were the only one. >> He's my boyfriend. >> Okay. Do you guys live together? >> Yes. >> Okay. How long have you guys lived together? >> Um, me and my daughter just moved in there actually. >> Okay. So, your daughter's in there as well? >> Okay. So, did your daughter witness what happened? >> What? >> Did your daughter witness the >> No, she's sleeping. >> Okay. So, >> I mean, we were just at like the dolphins work party, >> okay? >> And everything. It was So, he's still married and like the new girlfriend like we're together and like one of the one of the coach's wives were saying like how like you know, >> listen, don't take it personally. We're not trying to be mean to you. We're just It's a whole new thing. When we came back here, I was like talking to him about that. He used to talk. >> What do you tell me? >> I mean, he was like, "Go [ __ ] yourself." >> Are you hurt? >> No. >> Okay. How did you feel when he pushed you? >> I made yourself. >> Okay. And Okay. So, he pushes you, he tells you, "Fuck you." Then it happened. >> I don't want to talk anymore. That's it. >> I don't think it will be anymore. This is alcohol. Honestly, >> yeah, but if it happens once, it's going to happen again. And that's what we're trying to mitigate here. >> Let's take pictures of you. Okay. >> Okay. >> Um, I'm going to do a full picture of full body. Can you just move your hair, Adam, and I'm going to do your face, neck, hands. Okay. Since the conversation with Amy still leaves a lot of questions, police head down to the lobby to speak to staff who had actually witnessed the domestic acts, which prompted them to alert authorities in the first place. >> A resident who was walking his dog first came in there said, "Yo, you guys should check it out because it's a guy out there like squeezing and hitting like this skinny woman." >> Okay. But that is just they told you that you didn't see them. No. Then I went after myself >> and then I seen hitting and then when he seen that I >> hitting her how? >> Like he was grabbing on her. >> Okay. What exactly was like he grabbing like her hair, her neck, her hands? >> Like around like her chest area and her arms. >> And then she tried like she she got him off and like >> like pushed his hat off. And when I came like he's visibly seen he started to walk away. >> Mhm. And then and then after that like he he like kind of went inside of here. So so he kind of went inside of here and then he came back out and asked me if I work here. I said yeah. And I at this time I'm I'm asking her like are you okay? Are you okay? She's not talking. I seem like her lip was kind of busted. I'm like are you okay? Are you okay? She's not talking. I said did he hit you? >> She's just shaking her head. >> The thing is he also threatened her with her daughter being upstairs. So basically you speak I'm going to hit your daughter. >> Yeah. So you heard him say that. He came in and say, "Oh, like Ashley, like Cindy, whatever, like your daughter's upstairs." >> Basically saying, "Shut the [ __ ] up or I'm gonna hit your daughter." >> I don't know if it was a hit or like trying to grab because it happened really fast. >> Okay. >> And then cuz when they see like when he seen me, he like went away immediately started walking away. >> Mhm. >> But yeah, I asked her if she got hit, she just started crying and went away. And then she she was just on the ground crying and then he went back for her. He whispered something in her, then she just went up visibly. But then I went up by the room and then I heard them over and again and then I heard him screaming and a hit. >> You heard what sounded like a hit? Okay. Did you hear Did you hear her say anything after that? >> No, it was just I just I just heard hits and nothing else. >> Okay. >> Finally, police speak to the suspect himself, Ryan Crowe. At first, he comes across as cooperative, but soon things take a turn for the worst. >> So, why are we here, man? So, look, we had a organizational party tonight. We all had a good time. We got a lot of alcohol. On the way home, there were some words spoken to her from someone else that I I don't know. Things got heated. We came home. Things got escalated trying to calm it down. We had a babysitter sent the babysitter out. Issue about money. Um, it was just a verbal escalation really from the time we left until now. Things were starting to calm down. There was a knock on the door and So, you guys got into a verbal argument inside? >> Uh, we got in a verbal argument on the way here and then Yeah, >> but it rolled over to inside. >> Yeah, it was just a verbal argument. >> Your kids are sleeping. You got kids in there? >> One child. Yes. >> It's with her. >> With her? >> You guys live together? >> It's her child >> that lives here. >> Okay. >> Yes, we live together. Her child's here. >> And look, I don't mean to be disrespectful. I just felt a lot of people walking up and following me. You know what I mean? Honestly, you're the first person to ever make that a big deal. I'll be honest with you, for a while. >> No disrespect, >> but um No, it's fine. Um so, what was the argument over? Someone said something there. >> Yeah, it was a it was a lovely man. It's >> I The people I work with, their wives are really it's a tight group, >> okay? >> And and they're they're kind of weird. And I'm going through a divorce. I just introduced her into that world. It's kind of like a nasty world. She got introduced in it. I think they told her some stuff that really upset her. Don't know what. Still working through that. And that's kind of what triggered everything. And >> so that's kind of what it was. And plus alcohol. >> So basically drama about your last relationship housewives. >> Correct. Correct. With >> a bunch of alcohol. >> Were you wearing a cowboy hat at any time? >> Was wearing a cowboy hat. Yeah, man. Yeah, >> baby. >> I'm trying to tell him no. >> She's saying no. She's saying no. So, what are we doing? >> Here's here's she said we'll explain. Can you let me explain it to you? >> You guys live together. >> Don't get arrested together. >> Let him talk. >> Amy, don't get arrested. Start with >> you have a kid. But later that year in October, prosecutors dropped the case, writing in a declined memo that the alleged victim was adamant that she did not want charges filed and was uncooperative with the prosecution of this case. There is no reasonable likelihood of conviction, they added in the memo, and the case would end up being declined. Crow was initially placed on administrative leave by the Dolphins, who were coached at the time by Mike McDaniel, the current Chargers offensive coordinator, following the incident. But in December, Crow and the team formally parted ways. He had been Miami's outside linebackers coach since 2024.
