it was supposed to be a simple welfare check but a single depuy's mistake set off a chain of events that spiraled into a nightmare one that would haunt him forever Jesus Christ dude [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] God damn it on June 16th 2023 Vernon County deputies were dispatched to a residence near Wisconsin Highway for a welfare check upon arrival William S bourman age 61 was seen leaving the home he appeared visibly frustrated and was clearly not in his best mental [Applause] state get out of my house hey William you can take them out hey William why don't you Hold up for one second explain to me what's going on uh they left you step for a second while I talk to they left supposedly I want their ass out they [ __ ] my house up they have [ __ ] up all my tractors my vehicles everything I moved to intercept it moments later William had no criminal record or active warrant the stop was made only to figure out what happened [Music] William that's what I'm trying to that's what I'm trying back at the case one key principal from police training stands out avoiding vehicle path officers are taught not to intentionally Place themselves near or in front of a moving vehicle to avoid unnecessary risk in the potential use of deadly force despite Williams obvious mental instability one Deputy hopped onto the step next to the driver's side of the vehicle other officers frustration can be heard get oh my God some argue this action was a serious misjudgment one that went against standard training and ended in a man losing his life [Music]
